XML property aliasing with namespace

I have a problem: I receive a XML file in my transaction input
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ns0:DATA xmlns:ns0="http://xxx.com/test">
<VALUE_1/>
<VALUE_2/>
</ns0:DATA>
and I maodify it obtaining the following XML file
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<TAGS>
<VALUE_1/>
<VALUE_2/>
</TAGS>
Does anybody know how to do this?
I tried to use "XSL Transformation" but without results: i receive this error message:
[ERROR]: XSLTransform error: javax.xml.transform.TransformerConfigurationException: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: Il prefisso deve risolvere in namespace: ns0
My XSL file is the following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
<!-- This template copies everything that doesn't have a more specific rule -->
<xsl:template match="node()|@*">
<xsl:copy>
<xsl:apply-templates select="node()|@*"/>
</xsl:copy>
</xsl:template>
<!-- This template copies and renames Books to TechBooks -->
<xsl:template match="ns0:DATA xmlns:ns0=&quot;http://xxx.com/test"">
<TAGS>
<xsl:apply-templates/>
</TAGS>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>

I tried to do a simpliest thing: I create a new SQL query.
I set its server with a dummy server (that is running) and I set it modes as FixedQuery
I set in parameters tab, Parameter 1 this value:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <ns0:DATA xmlns:ns0="http://xxx.com/test"> <VALUE_1/> <VALUE_2/> </ns0:DATA>
I set in fixed query details this strings (one for every test):
1 - insert replace(replace('http://Param.1','<ns0:DATA xmlns:ns0="http://xxx.com/test>','<TAGS>'),'</ns0:DATA>','</TAGS>')
2 - insert replace(replace('http://Param.1','<ns0:DATA xmlns:ns0="http://xxx.com/test>"','<TAGS>'),'</ns0:DATA>','</TAGS>')
3 - insert replace(replace('http://Param.1','<ns0:DATA xmlns:ns0=\"http://xxx.com/test>\"','<TAGS>'),'</ns0:DATA>','</TAGS>')
then I run it 3 times with the TestQueryTemplate function (one for every previous string) and everytime I get the same error:
com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect syntax near '('
Do you have any idea?

  • XML property aliasing

    I have a problem: I receive a XML file in my transaction input
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><DATA>
    <VALUE_1/>
    <VALUE_2/>
    </DATA>
    and I want to rename the property DATA with the name TAGS.
    After this step, I want to access to the tag using Transaction.Source{/TAGS/VALUE_1}
    Does anybody know how to do this?
    I tried to use "Column aliasing" and "XSL Transformation" but without results. Which is the best way to do this?

    I tried it, but like before XSL transformation doesn't work. Maybe I do something wrong in XSL transformation settings.
    I added XSL transformation.
    I didn't configure the transformation URL (Configure object button)
    In configure links, Incoming tab, I set Inpux XML file as "Transaction.Source" (Source is my xml input file)
    In configure links, Incoming tab, I set InputXSL copying your xsl code.
    I didn't set xml output file, so less error appears.
    The system gave me a list of errors:
    [ERROR]: STEP EXCEPTION () : Invalid Variable In Expression: xml
    [ERROR]: STEP EXCEPTION (XSL_Transformation_0) : Invalid Variable In Expression: xml
    [ERROR]: STEP EXCEPTION (Sequence_0) : Invalid Variable In Expression: xml
    [ERROR]: STEP EXCEPTION (Sequence) : Invalid Variable In Expression: xml
    [ERROR]: TRANSACTION EXECUTION TERMINATED
    Do you know which is the right configuration for XSL transformation?
    I know just this help page: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_xmii120/helpdata/en/45/cca60593696f74e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm
    but it is very short.
    Do you know other helpful webpages?
    Thank you for your first answer.

    Yes, but probably for a different reason: limit of 63 columns for a table.
    Can you simply the XML source, make it look like the millions of examples in the documentation in terms of tags/structure?

  • DataGrid  dataProvider XML with Namespaces,

    I have a DataGrid wich dataProvider is a XMLList. The problem
    is that, the xml has a default namespace, and in my DataGridColumns
    I use the dataField property to define wich XML field should be
    displayed. The problem is that the dataField property is used in a
    way that do not take into consideration the xml namespace.
    I'm already using the use namespace directive with the right
    namespace, but that doesn't work.
    Has anyone tried to do something similar?

    This is similar to a problem I stumbled into described in
    another post. What I ended up doing was creating a labelFunction
    for each column and using the value (without the namespace) as the
    element name. In ActionScript you can use the QName to get a child
    element:
    private function getItemValue(data:Object,
    column:DataGridColumn):String {
    return data.child(new QName(mb, column.dataField));
    Note that "mb" was a namespace variable I declared at a
    module level. I couldn't find a more elegant way of overcoming this
    namespace deficiency of the built in controls. I suppose you could
    also extend the DataGrid control, add a namespace attribute and
    override the appropriate function that provides the default
    rendering. However, that is something for another day.... Hope this
    helps.

  • Using XSLT to extract value of a XML node with namespace

    I have a XML source code here.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <rss version="2.0" xmlns:job="http://www.pageuppeople.com">
      <channel>
        <title>SMH Jobs</title>
        <link>internalrecruitment.smhgroup.com.au/jobsrss.ashx?stp=di</link>
        <description>A listing of jobs available here</description>
        <item>
          <title>eCommerce Optimisation Advisor</title>
          <description>A new and exciting opportunity exists for an experienced eCommerce Advisor to join</description>
          <job:location PUReferenceID="3711">Sydney - Inner Suburbs & CBD</job:location>
        </item>
      </channel>
    </rss>
    I want to use XSLT to extract value of a XML node with namespace <job:location>, and the returned value should be string 'Sydney - Inner Suburbs & CBD'. I tried a few XSL code below, but failed with error or nothing was returned.
    <xsl:value-of select="job:location" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="job/location" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="job\location" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
    <xsl:value-of select="location" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
    This might be an easy question for you, but I would appreciate if anyone can help.

    Hi Suncorp IT Learner,
    We need to tell the XSLT that some elements are in another namespace. Copy the xmls declarations for the prefixes you need to use. Then use the xsl format as:
    <xsl: value-of select=”job:location/@PUReferenceID”/>
    In following issue, Chriztian has a good explanation:
    http://our.umbraco.org/forum/developers/xslt/33353-XSLT-reading-XML-attribute-value

  • XML Parsing with namespace

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement to convert XML to itab to be processed further.
    I couldn't parse the XML which contains ns0 (namespace?) as following:
    <ns0:OrderNo>887140</ns0:OrderNo>
    <ns0:CPROD>BD</ns0:CPROD>
    <ns0:CURR>USD</ns0:CURR>
    I'm able to parse If I remove the namespace ns0 from the file as following:
    <OrderNo>887140</OrderNo>
    <CPROD>BD</CPROD>
    <CURR>USD</CURR>
    The thing is the XML file will always come with the namespace ns0.
    I'm using IF_IXML, IF_IXML_STREAM_FACTORY, IF_IXML_ISTREAM, IF_IXML_PARSER, IF_IXML_DOCUMENT to parse the XML.
    Any idea on how to overcome this?
    Thanks,
    Victor.

    Hello Victor,
    fine. I am glad, I could help you.
    Just one note to XSLT Transformations: When using them, you got even the ability to map directly to internal abap tables:
    CALL TRANSFORMATION ZXSLT_YOUR_TRANSFORMATION
      SOURCE XML l_xmlstring
      RESULT DATA = lt_data.
    You just need to transform you xml to the asx:abap name space and that's it
    Look at Re: Help needed XML to Internal table and vice versa, where I show a simple example, how this works.
    Kind regards,
    Hendrik

  • Call property with namespace in Proxy object

    Hi all,
    As you know, one can extends Proxy object to modify the behavior of calling a property. My question is if my property has a namespace with it, can i still access it through the Proxy object? If yes, how?
    e.g. only sudo code, may not work
    class MyObject {
      myNamespace var a:int = 0;
    class MyProxy extends Proxy {
      private var m_obj:MyObject;
      function MyProxy(obj:MyObject) {
        m_obj = obj;
      flash_proxy override function callProperty(name:*, ... rest):* {
        return m_obj[name.toString()].apply(m_obj, rest);
    var proxy:MyProxy = new MyProxy(new MyObject);
    proxy.myNamespace::a ??

    Use PopUpManager.addPopUp() instead of createPopUp().
    addPopUp takes an object that has already been instantiated:
    var createGoodsWindow:CreateGoodsWindow = new
    CreateGoodsWindow(data);
    PopUpManager.addPopUp(createGoodsWindow);

  • How must getElementsByTagName work on an xml file with namespaces?

    Hello together,
    is there any normative document, which specifies
    which nodes must be returned by
    the org.w3c.dom.Document method
    getElementsByTagName when which was
    created by a namespace aware dom parser
    from an xml file containing namespaces?
    In other words:
    when you have an xml file:
    <someprefix:somenode xmlns:someprefix="http://someuri">
    <someprefix:innertag>
    <someprefix:mostinnertag>
    </someprefix:mostinnertag>
    <someprefix:mostinnertag>
    </someprefix:mostinnertag>
    </someprefix:innertag>
    </someprefix>
    and you call
    document.getElementsByTagName( ... );
    1) How many nodes must be returned when giving
    "mostinnertag" as parameter?
    2) How many nodes when giving "someprefix:mostinnertag" as parameter?
    Is it allowed to use the "non namespaceaware"
    method and not "getElementsByTagNameNS"?
    I know:
    a) xerces returns 2 nodes when using
    alternative 2 and none with alternative 1
    b) oracle xml parser returns 2 nodes when using
    alternative 1 and none when using alternative 2
    Which implementation is right?
    Yours
    Stefan

    I've got some problems with this methos and xerces too.
    Perhaps the two implementations (xerces and oracle) are different. I mean xerces implementation gives you nodes of this name but without namespace and oracles's implementation gives you modes with namespace whose unprefix-name is "mostinnertag".

  • XML-Cals table with aid namespaces

    hi at all!

    Hi,
    I think that it is not possible because the CALS and InDesign XML are using different namespaces.

  • How to change the incoming xml to a different namespace

    I have a xml file coming into XI (file ->XI)without namespace. I would like to change the root elment with ns tag add the namespace values with it.
    ie.,
    Coming in as
    <Vendor>
    </Vendor>
    I would like to change it to
    <ns:Vendor xmlns:ns="urn:group01:legacy">
    </ns:Vendor>
    thanks

    Michal
    I did create all interface objects and mapping objects by adding "urn:" on the software component namespace table.
    In that I did import external definition with no name space schema and did create message interface out of it.
    Then in urn:group01:legacy namespace i did create message mapping between no namespace to with namespace and test it works great.
    In the message interface it did allow me add the new source with no namespace and the target with interface with namespace. The source and target interface I add to on top of the exisiting vendor:group01:legacy to target CREMAS:CREMAS03. But I couldn't select to add the second mapping. The message mapping allows only one.
    This is what I have
    Interface Mapping
    Source Interface -
    TargetInterface
    Vendorwithnospace -
    Vendor_out
    Vendor_out  -
    CREMAS:CREMAS03
    Request
    Source Message --- Mapping Program -
    Target Message
    Vendor -
    <does not allow to add>--- Vendor
    Vendor  -
    Vendor_CREMAS03 -
    CREMAS:CREMAS03
    I thought I can do the first mapping to add the namespace and have the output to feed it as input for the second mapping.
    I know I can always use the configuration directory to output and make it as two jobs, but all I need is to add the namespace to the file root element.

    check the setter method for the property LANG_CD in com.dst.fourx.model.codeModel.CodeGroupDisplay.
    it must be like -
    setNlsLanguage(CodesGroup xyz) { ... }
    The paremeters must be objects, not the type of the database column. We can specify the actual field in CodesGroup which acts as the foreign key in CodeGroupDisplay in the "property-ref" attribute of <many-to-one> element in the mapping file for CodeGroupDisplay.
    This worked for me. Hope it works for you too.
