Xp_smtp_sendmail file size is larger than allowed max sizer of 65536 bytes

Hi,
We have a daily routine which generates a text file and runs xp_smtp_sendmail with the @messagefile argument to use the text file in the body of the email.
It has always worked fine but recently we have been receiving the following error when trying to run it:
  Error: @messagefile "Drive\Filename.txt" file size is larger then allowed max size of 65536 byte
Funnily enough the file in question is 66,220 bytes so only just big enough to exceed this limit. The file in question is created from scratch on a daily basis so maybe this limit has always been in place
and we are now exceeding it. My question is can we increase this limit somewhere and if so where? The SQL Statement I'm running is:
EXEC master.dbo.xp_smtp_sendmail
@To = '[email protected]',
@From =  '[email protected]',
@messagefile = 'Filepath\Filename.txt',
@subject='Test please ignore',
@server='smtp.servername.domain'
Thanks in advance for any suggestions anyone has!

what version of sql ser using?? it looks like you are using SQLMail. if you are sql 2005 and baove you can use database mail and use that to send mails
check for to set up database mail http://blog.sqlauthority.com/2008/08/23/sql-server-2008-configure-database-mail-send-email-from-sql-database/

    How can I convert a pdf file that's larger than 100MB to word?
    I have just paid $20 to Adobe to get this facility but It won't work ,
    as the pdf is larger than 100MB,
    I actually believe that I have paid twice for adobe but I'll take this up with them,
    in the meantilme,
    do you have any suggestions, I really need this material in word urgently,
    many thanks

    If your files are this large, ExportPDF is the wrong tool for you. You need Adobe Acrobat, which runs locally and does not need to send your files to Adobe.

  • OVM Server 3.2.8 - LUN Larger Than Allowed By The Host Adapter

    Heya,
    We have 2 blades that where recently updated to OVM Server 3.2.8. We had 2x100GB LUN's assigned to those servers ... however, when trying to to discover them we get the following :
    Oct 27 14:34:43 XXXXXXXXXX kernel: scsi: host 0 channel 3 id 0 lun4194304 has a LUN larger than allowed by the host adapter
    Oct 27 14:34:43 XXXXXXXXXX kernel: scsi: host 0 channel 3 id 0 lun4194560 has a LUN larger than allowed by the host adapter
    These blades where previously on 3.1.1 and where updated along with the OVM Manager. Everything is working fine on the blades and VM's there. We have had storage assigned previously from the SAN but when on 3.1.1.
    Any idea what needs to be changed ?
    Regards

    What make of HBA is this? This LUN numbers are actually unusually high. And what storage HW provides these LUNs?

  • PS Touch needs a warning message when importing files larger than 2048x2048 max resolution

    I opened 6500x5000 px files into PS Touch in iPad for some minor retouching. PS Touch - without notification - reduced the images to fit within 2048 x 2048 px. It happily let me open these files, work on them and save and never let me know it was reducing the file size, rendering all the work I did utterly useless since 2048x2048 is far too small for print res for these files.
    PS Touch needs a notification or warning when importing files larger than the app's max resolution. Resizing files without notification is just asinine.

  • My Illustrator CC is exporting my files over 4x larger than I set them to export as.

    I really need this ixed. I'd rather not uninstall and redownload. It takes ages. basically, I'll set my artboard to export as sayyy 100x100 pixels, it'll export as 417x417 pixels.

    you're exporting at 300 dpi. export 72 dpi.
    if you make a 100x100 px image in illustrator, you're actually making an image that is 100x100 points. points are a unit with a specific size. if you export a raster image 300 dpi, illustrator is making your image 4.17x larger (300/72) as it's cramming pixels into an already-defined area.

  • File sizes displayed in Bytes?....

    Since upgrading to Lion, when I try getting info on a folder/file, the size used on the disk or filesize is displayed in Bytes (with GB's in parantheses afterwards). This seems unintuitive to me and makes it a little less easily apparent what the filesize is. Is there any way to change this? I have looked around with no luck so far....
    Thanks!
    ex:

    hmmm I don't think you are understanding what im saying.
    Lets say I have a file that is 10GB. In most situations, I'd say its easier to say its a 10 gigabyte file than say its a 10000000000 byte file. If my friend asked me how big the file was, I would say "oh its 10 gigs" not "its 10000000000 bytes"
    That's the point of having different units (bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes, etc) it abbreviates it, and makes it a more managable number. Spedometers don't display your speed in inches/hour for a similar reason.
    So back to the original question. I'd much rather see GB (or MB or whatever the largest unit is) BEFORE bytes as that is used FAR more often and easier to understand. Im pretty sure almost everyone would agree with that...
    yes, I can still see the information I want, its just not as readily apparrent now and I'd rather see it before bytes. Am I the only one who thinks swapping the order of this information was kind of counter intuitive?

  • MS Project - Printing to dimensions larger than max print driver settings

    I have a large (2000+) task Gantt chart but no wide-format printer.
    I've tried printing to PDF - the tasks, durations, start, finish & resources columns show but the bars don't and the data replicates 4x so I end up having to mess with the file, deleting the extraneous pages, before I send it out for review, anyway.
    I tried downloading a wide-format printer driver simply so I could select that printer as my 'default' and set the printer to 'print' to 24x36 while I work with the document, but can't install it because I don't actually have a wide-format printer on my
    network.
    Two questions:
    First:  How do I get the bars to show in a PDF print?
    Second:  How do I set the print area larger than my max paper size of 17x11?
    Thanks.

    Thank you very much for your response, Guillaume.
    The issue is that I only have standard sized printers available to me.  The drivers of these control and restrict the 'print' size of the PDF file.  I had already selected the columns, etc., but could not get the right-hand part of the document
    to appear no matter what settings I changed.  I tried manipulating the columns printed, the page size, etc. but nothing worked.
    Additionally, no matter what else I did (and I suspect it had to do with the program attempting to print the Gantt bars) I ended up with multiple prints of the document within my finished PDF.  Meaning I had to use the Professional version of Adobe
    to go back and delete the 50+ pages I didn't need before I could distribute what was useful to everyone else on the team.
    I did manage to solve this issue by downloading a wide-format printer driver (even though we don't have a wide-format printer on the network, which was a feat in and of itself!).  Now I can choose the non-existent printer as my default when I'm working
    in / on this document and can print to PDF on a virtual 36" page - showing everything (in little tiny mouse print).  That will be my next challenge - but I'm more than halfway there!
    Best~

  • Batch Resize photos Larger than a certain size.

    Is there a way to have a script that searches a directory and any image files that are larger than 1000 x 1000 pixels are resized to 500 x 500 pixels and then saved over righting the sources file?
    I am asking because our server has over 40,000 photos all over the place and I would like to reduce the space they take on the server.

    I don't think that getting the file's length is the best way to determine if the file needs resizing. Especially if the file is in a format that supports compression. I think you would end up either setting the test value too low and open a lot of files that don't need resizing or set too high and miss files that do.
    Also using getFiles() without a file mask will get all files and folders in the source folder. You will need to make sure it is an image file before trying to open in Photoshop to resize.
    I think the function below would be a better way to determine if the file needs resizing. It tries to get the XMPMetadata to determine width and height. If that fails because the file does not have metadata it gets the size from Bridge.
    var file = new File('~/desktop/_SLP7637.jpg');
    var resize = needsResizing( file );
    var resizeStr = ''
    resize? resizeStr = 'needs resizing': resizeStr = 'does not need resizing';

  • Does rendering previews larger than max native resolution benifit you.

    Hi, I have Adobe Lightroom 4.3.  I like to know if rendering standard previews, larger than the max native resolution of my LCD display (1680x1050), will Help me, if I look edit photos at great than 1:1 ratio. IE, 2880, 2040, 1680 etc.. In some cases. I work on files with a brush, up to 8:1 magnification.  Does that extra resolution translate to greater detail when working that close?

    help1111111111111111,
    You may want to re-think your workflow.
    Image sequencing in Develop module is sloooooooowww... - no way around it (other than using EditInLightroom plugin, which reduces resolution, temporarily, in favor of develop module speed, but even then it's slow compared to Library module). note: last 4 images developed are cached in ram, those are fast to get at, but the rest: slooooooooowww...
    Image sequencing in Library module is faaaaaaaaaast - if you have up-to-date previews, otherwise it's slooooooowww too.
    So the trick is to make sure library previews are up-to-date, then sequence images in the library module - when you hit the image(s) you want to edit, press 'd', or another develop module keyboard shortcut... - then, upon edit completion, return to library module, via 'e' or 'g', or some other preferred method, for more sequencing.
    Bottom-line: switching between library & develop module ad-infinitum is a fact of Lightroom life, if you are one of those who can't "do everything there is to do in one module before switching to the other" (I'm one too), and you want to use Lightroom most efficiently.
    Maybe one day, Adobe will integrate the lib & dev modules and/or enhance Lightroom to better cache image viewing data, until then... - good luck.

  • Easiest way to transfer files larger than 4gb between mac and windows?

    I just borrowed a windows laptop and formatted an external USB drive FAT32 and am able to transfer files from my Tiger OS Mac and the Windows 7 computer..but now I discover the maximum file size is 4GB. How could I transfer files (usually video) larger than that? Thanks for any help.

    Set up a network and file sharing, or format the drive to Mac OS Extended and install the MacDrive trial on the PC, or format the drive to NTFS and install the NTFS-3G drivers on the Mac.

    Hello Chriowen
    Welcome to the Community
    Please make sure you have a strong and consistent coverage for you to be able to download large files completely. I would suggest connecting to a WiFi network because 2G mobile data coverage is not really adviseable for downloading. Or probably use a PC instead.

  • File size comparisons, InDesign CS3, CS4 and CS5?

    Hi, all.
    It seems there was a trend for several major releases where each time Adobe released a new version of InDesign and InCopy, average file sizes grew by 20% or so from the old release to the new release, at least back in the older CS days. Has this trend continued, such that file sizes in CS4 are substantially larger than file sizes from CS3, and CS5 files are substantially larger than those from CS4?
    Adobe, of course, wants to keep writing functionality that will keep the user community coming back to buy in to upgrades. The added functionality sometimes comes at a cost beyond the price tag. If file sizes are larger in a newer version, then page saves over a network or to a database are likely to be slower, and user productivity takes a hit while users are waiting for files to be saved.
    Has anyone done any testing to build the "same" page in multiple versions of InDesign to understand what the effect is on the file sizes? I'm specifically interested in the file sizes between InDesign CS3, CS4 and CS5. To be meaningful, the test page would have to be at least moderately complex, with a couple of photos, multiple text elements and so forth. By "same," the page wouldn't take advantage of new functionality in newer versions but would be saved as a native page of the current version, though the file sizes may be bloated by the new functionality like it or not.
    If you've done any testing along these lines, I'd like to hear more about it.
    Thanks.
       Mark

    The overall structure of ID's files have been exactly the same for -- as far as I can see back -- CS. No change at all, in there.
    There have been significant additions to the 'global' spaces; stuff like InCopy user data, table styles, object styles, and cross references. Each of these add a major chunk of data to each file, whether you use it or not, plus a few bytes per object (again, whether you use them or not -- ID also needs to know where you did not use them, that's why). I think these might be the main source of 'global' file size increase (a single object style in one of my files, for example, eats up a healthy chunk of 11,482 bytes).
    For the rest, all new stuff like 'span columns' is a handful of bytes per paragraph style. Tracking changes may very well double the size of text runs -- but 1 character takes up 1 byte of storage (plus perhaps some overhead of indicating its 'tracking' status). Any single measurement unit always uses 8 bytes at least (for example, the left inset for a column span -- even if it's not used, or set to 0pt).
    I think we're talking about a couple of K's here (oh -- perhaps a max of a hundred or so), in a file format that has been designed around the concept of "disk pages", each 4K big, meaning that sometimes adding one single character to a text box increases the file size by 4 K.
    Your idea of comparing the size of a file created in CS3 against the same saved as CS4 and as CS5 is certainly feasible -- I might try it some time, just to confirm it's purely the extra 'new objects' data that accounts for the size increase and to confirm my guesstimates of the number of Ks involved.

  • CLM - Maximum File Size for Contract Documents

    We did a search but did not find an answer for this.  For the CLM system does anybody know SAP's recommendation on the maximum file size that the application can reliably handle for contract documents?  We recently increased the maximum file size from 10MB to 50MB to accommodate a larger than allowed file size.  Now the business has requested the capacity to add files (pdf files) up to 115MB.  Would increasing our file limit to approximately 150MB be within the recommended parameters?

    There is no specific recommendation for maximum file sizes as this depends on how your time-out parameters are set, your server resources and network (also tunneling policies).  The fact is the higher the filesize the more risk you run in unreliable uploads.  Compressing files before uploading is a good practise for larger files.
    These are the same issues which you would run into if you for example upload to a sharepoint site or even a copy on a shared drive, it all depends on the same parameters.
    Tunneling policies could also affect your performance as it will limit the upload speeds according the priority set on certain network activities and if it limits your bandwidth you run in the risk of time-out so as you see there is no straight answer to your question.  I know customers who can without no problem upload 150Mb files and others who already have issues with 50Mb.
    Unfortunate, as I do not know your architecture and infrastructure I can only advice to stresstest the conditions of 150 Mb uploades with several user ids and see if you get time-outs or if it degrades the network performance. One of the questions you should ask your business is how frequent are the occurences of 150Mb+ uploads and if it is the appropiate way.  It could be that these are very rare and in that case you could ask them to do this outside the busy hours of the network which will provides you less risk in problems.

  • Reduce *.pst file size

    Thank you Kent. I did compress my personal folder, but hardly and change on the size of the *.pst file. I have deleted so many folder with their content as well, but still the size of the *.pst file stays almost the same (still more then 8 gb).
    Can I not create a new *.pst file without losing my address book? If so how would I do this?
    Thank you Simone Braun

    Wow. Advertising paid programs really isn't an answer. Some people work for large orgs such as the DoD where those items are not an option.  This person is also asking how to reduce a PST FILE. She has ALREADY archived.
    There is no reduction of a pst file. You can remove items from it to a new one, but the old one will retain its size.
    Best practice: Name your pst file by date (2015, 2014, or 2015q1, 2015q2) Keep your working folders under your Inbox, and utilize autoarchive to maintain your pst file(s). When archiving your inbox, it will re-create your folder structure in the pst. Pst
    files are supposed to be a snapshot in time of what you HAD. The older they are, the less you use them, until you can ultimately archive them on a DVD. At that point, it is strongly advised that unless you buy double-sided DVD's, then you can only burn a 4-GB
    file. So, don't allow your pst file to get larger than that.

  • Illustrator file size reduction

    Illustrator 11.0
    Win XP Pro SP2
    Adobe Acrobat 6.0
    Why are ai files so much larger than the pdf's they generate. For example I cut and pasted an excel spreadsheet into Illustrator. No bitmaps or rasterized data.
    ai file is 2.5Mb (acrobat compatible, compression on)
    ai file is 7 Mb (compression off) yikes!
    saved as pdf 2.2Mb
    printed to adobe acrobat 6.0 24kb (maintains vector output with great zoom)
    these are all vector files and there is a 100 to 1 size ratio between them.
    If I take the small pdf and use the edit file command in acrobat and then re save the illustrator to ai file it is still over 2Mb.
    I have a long framemaker document that will have 60 some line drawings and text and I need the ai files to be smaller due to memory considerations.
    What can I do to shrink these ai files.? I don't want any bitmaps or rasterized illustrations in my end product pdf file.

    Interesting results here. All tests conducted with AI 12 (don't have AI 11). All .ai files were saved with compression and no profile embedded. All PDFs were created via 'save as' or Distiller (print to PDF) using Acrobat 7 compatibility and Text and Line Art preset.
    Downloaded [Test1 copy from xcell.ai], opened it in AI 12, stripped unused swatches, styles, brushes, etc. then saved as .ai with no PDF compatibility. Resulting file: 456 KB
    Same as above but saved
    with PDF compatibility. Resulting .ai file: 417 KB (!)
    Same as above but saved as v11 .ai with, then without, PDF compatibility. Resulting .ai files: 1,011 KB
    regardless of PDF compatibility (!)
    As above but saved as v10 .ai without PDF compatibility. Resulting file: 412 KB
    Again v10 but with PDF compatibility: 374 KB (!)
    Saved as PDF with .ai editing preserved: 999 KB
    Saved as PDF without .ai editing preserved: 133 KB
    Distilled PDF (printed to Adobe PDF): 56 KB
    Downloaded Excel file and printed to PDF from Excel. PDF file: 53 KB
    That PDF file then opened in AI 12 and saved as v12 .ai with no PDF compatibility: 282 KB
