Yellow Tint in Integrated Camera Picture

I have a T61 and a T500. The integrated camera on the T61 produces a yellow tint, the one on T500 works fine. If you pass a sheet of white paper infront of the T61 camera, it fixes the issue, but I'd like a permanent fix. Does anyone know why it does that? Is it older hardware (camera) or would a software update fix the issue?
P.S. There is no plastic film on the camera

They were done after the latest updates : GDR3 and Black.
The results are the same as before : GDR or Black didn't improve things.
Btw.
Here is one of the pictures in my PDF file that I corrected with Paintshop.
The paintshop version is how the scene really looks like.

  • Yellow tint in picures taken with Lumia Phone Came...

    Hi
I have done some extensive testing with respect to the yellow-tint-bug and I have made a PDF file with it.
I trust that it gives a fair view on what happens and when things go very wrong with our cameras.

  • IPhone 5s yellow tint in camera roll

I got a new 5s over the holidays specifically because I wanted a better phone camera before our new baby comes.  However, my phone takes REALLY yellow photos.  Even when I try to color correct, they are significantly yellowed.  I downloaded the Photoshop app, and the simple act of opening a photo in Photoshop fixes the yellow tint, even without applying any filters or color correction.  Can anyone help?  I'm happy to have at least a temporary solution, but having to consistently edit every photo I take with my phone seems redundant.  Especially when this seems to be some issue with the camera or camera roll?

Ok, so I figured it out.... I must have selected a filter in my camera roll at some point, and it just kept taking pictures with that filter.  I think it's REALLY dumb that the default isn't NO FILTER.  Plus, there's no batch edit, so I've got over 100 photos with yellow tint that I have to fix one at a time.  *sigh*  Anyway, I thought I'd post the resolution for anyone else having the same problem I did who might be searching for an answer.

  • Why do the pictures I print have a yellow tint to them?

Why do the pictures I print have a yellow tint to them?

    Hi Judy,
You have not included any information about your printer or how you are printing but generally when a photo takes on a certain tint it means one or more of the inks is running low.

  • Lumia 928 Front-Cam Pictures are Yellow

    Hello,
After the recent Amber update, the phones takes HORRIBLE front-camera photos.  The white balance settings don't help at all and everything is given a yellow tint - people look like a cartoon from the Simpsons.  Please tell me this is being addressed in an update that won't make me wait until GDR3... I'm going back to school soon and I'd really like to show off the camera quality especially since it is such a beautiful phone.  Please fix this, I miss taking photos on my phone.
In addition, the pro-cam gives a yellow tint and softens images in the hi-res review.  I thought it would give the full HD review?
    Thank you,
    - Alex

  • X200 integrated camera problem (no picture/video)

I had this problem originally and on a clean install of xp and on a clean install of vista (which I'm currently using).
The driver is installed, windows recognizes it, skype recognizes it and says it is functioning correctly.  However, when I go to take a picture or configure the video it is all black in skype.  There looks to be a little circle next to the camera on the lid that should light up when the camera is in use/i.e. skype video config?  Well nothing comes on : /.  And no, my brightness/contrast isn't set to 0.
    Any ideas?

I havectly the same problem One day I turned on my X200 Tablet and I got a message that 5U875 Device has no drivers installed. Tried instaling the latest drivers from Lenovo for camera but no luck. Even turning the tablet completly off and on doesn;t help. The driver instalation just quits without any message.
Anyone has an idea how to solve this problem and get the integrated camera to work ?

  • After I updated, pictures has gotten a yellow tint where it should be white.

after I updated, pictures has gotten a yellow tint where it should be white. I checked the same websites in safari, and those sites shows perfect color.
What can I do to fix this issue?
Being a photographer, this is quite a big problem

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar
You can make '''Firefox 7.0.1''' look like Firefox 3.6.*, see numbered '''items 1-10''' in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 thru 8.0, look like 3.6)]. • Nokia 1020 Flash gives Yellow Tint - White Balance...

I have the new Nokia Lumia 1020.  Unfortunately, every time I take a photo with the flash, it gives a yellow tint; the white balance is WAY off.  I called support and Nokia Support said to swap the phone, which I did at AT&T.  The 2nd phone has the same issue.  I searched online, and several others are having the same problem.
When will a solution for this come out, assuming one will?
    Thanks.

yep suffering from this too and there are quite a few threads popping up on the net about the issue too

these are just the top hits on google and this is without the threads on your wn discussion board on this very website :-/
now i love my 1020 just like i loved my nokia 808 but there is defo something wrong with the settings and jpeg processing on the 1020
on one of the forums i use a users examined the exif data of a yellow tinted image and the shutter speed was really slow and the iso really high , i think this is where the problem lies , on an xenon flash shot why is the phone choosing a very high iso and very slow shutter speed surely this will lead to polloution of the picture from other light sources hence the orange/yellow glow/tint to many pictures taken under ''fake'' lighting
In auto mode even with flash on, shutter speed is always 1/30 and ISO is pretty high (1000 or above). I don't know why these settings are this way with flash in Auto, but that seems to be the reason for the yellow tint.
a user has come up with a fix which is
Try this: force flash on and then either set ISO to 400 or a fixed shutter speed of 1/100 or even faster. I noticed that the flash fires shorter and brighter that way. Surprise: yellow tint is gone.
so as you can see the camera is simply selecting the wrong settings for the scene , why an earth is the camera selecting such a high iso and slow shutter speed for an xenon lit shot , surely thats ridiculous , it seems it to me
nokia please can you look into this asap
according to your response in this thread you have been aware of this for a while now and i know software can be very complex but this is something that needs to be fixed and is causing a lot of people hassle with the ''best camera phone'' the world has seen
i am sure it can be fixed easily via software and i look forwards to an update or resapinse from nokia about the issue
    thanks for reading

  • Yellow tint and green tint

So, I've recently got an iPhone 5.
    It has no warranty atm.
It came with iOS 7.1 and it showed an oval yellow tint near the borders of the screen, with white backgrounds.
I was coming to terms with it and I updated to 8.1.2. Now the tint has gotten big and greener (don't know if software update was just a coincidence).
Here is a picture illustrating the problem: http://cl.ly/image/3N0V122w2C1j
The yellow tint was not so big not even so noticeable.
    Is this a recognized problem?

    Howdy there rcoo,
If I understand correctly you have some discoloration on the edges of your screen that seems to be getting worse. Normally symproms like this would indicate a hardware issue. Before seeking service, to be as thorough as possible,  I would recommend starting by resetting your phone this these steps first:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue persists, I would next backup and restore the phone as new to see if it persists there:
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If not, then it was an issue with the backup file. If so, then you will need to seek service for your phone to fix the issue:

  • HT201401 Yellow tint to photos

My IPhone 5 works great in all modes except straight photo.  All pictures taken in this mode (both front and back cameras) have a yellow tint.  Works fine in video, square and pano modes.  Any ideas?

    Hello SupermanNH,
It sounds like only 1 mode in your Camera app has this yellow tint you describe. I recommend starting by closing all the running apps:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and test out the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

  • Yellow Tinted Screen?

I just got my Mini, hooked up a ViewSonic VA720 LCD to it, and the screen has a yellow tint to it. I can't get rid of it after calibrating the display. When I connect the display to my other non-Mac computers, it displays in normal color, without the tint. Any ideas? I am using the DVI to VGA connector that came with the Mini. Thanks for any help.
    -Justin

Thanks Tim! When I go to the Apple Store, I'm assuming I should bring the CPU and the adapter...I've tried a few times, plugging things in in different order, and nothing seems to be working. There is also some horizontal 'streakiness', especially after things on the screen that contrast sharply, going from left to right. Hopefully an Apple Genius can get 'er working right soon.

  • Yellow tinted display

Is anyone else still experiencing a yellow tinted display screen after "restoring" to 5A347?
I'm wondering if this problem is isolated to my phone, and it could be exchanged for a new one.

I just exchanged my 3g Black 16 gig iPhone due to a yellowish screen. My new replacement came with the (5A437) version. It is still a bit yellow but now the contrast is off making the text blurry and gray. I have another 3g white 16 gig with the (5A435) version which has no problems. The color is very rich and has deep blacks. I hope the is a way to correct this in the future. Upgrading the version does nothing. This is my 4th replacement phone and I am sick of making trips out to the Apple Store every week.

  • Interlacing/ Scan Lines on iPhone 4S Screen + Yellow tint!

Hi everyone I bought my 64gb IPhone last week and noticed that I have faint interlacing lines on my screen. My serial starts with c39 and I am extremely dissatisfied. I had my iPhone 4 replaced last year and the replacement had this issue as well. I am so sick of Apples qc lately. You can really notice the issue when the display is showing a light grey bg and also the iMovie and Facebook icons. Please respond if you are experiencing this issue. I also have the yellow tinted screen. What is going on Apple?

I have the some issue with you.I found this interlacing issue with my last Iphone4 in july 2011,and then got  2 replaced iphones having the same problem.when I get my new iphone4S these days,I found the same issue, although its Not easy to observe, and MUCH BETTER then my last iphone4,but its defintely there,I can also notice it!

  • New 3G - yellow-tinted screen...

My wife and I just bought two new 3G's (after having owned the original iPhone for 8 months). The first thing I noticed after powering my 16GB 3G up was a very noticeable yellow-tint on the display. After searching the internet I realized that this was a common issue- I even came across Apple's statement that the temperature change in the display was intended. However, my wife's 16GB 3G does not have any hint of yellow... and resembles the temperature of our old iPhone's (blue-tinted). What gives?!

Just make sure you upgrade to the latest firmware... there was upgrade shortly after the release of the 3G that corrected the problem. If this doesn't work... Hi Ho Hi Ho... I'ts back the Apple store you go!

  • Yellow tint! the 3rd Screen of my iMac 27, it's getting worse and worse...

Hi everyone not sure if there is anything more i could do with this, I have a 2010-13 week iMac, it came with a 'bearable' yellow tint problem from the beginning, after a hard drive failure i had to send my iMac back to Apple care, i was hoping the screen problem had been solved so I asked them to replace my screen as well, it came back with a worse panel showed much larger area of yellow tint...
Then I decided to wait for a few months until a week ago before my holiday i called for another exchange, was hoping for a perfect screen after my holiday, now holiday is over and iMac is back, just right after I pressed the power button, the start up screen with apple logo clearly tells me that i have got a even more disgusting panel - the worst of all i have to say, a new uneven shadow line on the bottom plus the usual yellower tint spreads over the middle of the screen, oh yes, they decided to make it even worse, a big dead spot as well in the corner ....
after a few hours, when i was editing a photo in Aperture, I have discovered something even more disturbing, from right edge of the screen inwards there is around 8cm wide vertical band shows obvious brighter tone than the rest of screen...
I do a lot of black & white photography plus a lot 3D graphic work, for a while I had tried to live with the yellow issue until it got really frustrating - now i have to once again arrange an exchange as this one is just unbearable!
Is this really Apple? Hard drive failed after a year and this is the 3rd screen of the iMac, and it just gets worse...
I wonder if there's anyone who had the luck to get the yellow screen replaced by a decent one?

Are you talking about a mid-2011 iMac or a 2010 iMac?
As it seems, the issue of color inconsistency of the iMac display is far from solved. Yellow tint, uneven brightness, light-leaks are very easily found even of newer models. I have a two-week-old mid-2011 27-inch iMac that I tried to replace for a new one because of yellow tint issue. It turned out that the replacement iMac had a worse screen... So I kept the first one. Not sure if the right thing to do is just get the screen replaced. It seems users have done it with no success...
So, I guess these problems are structural on the iMac line. They seem very much to be omnipresent. And I don't see Apple offering a genuine/trustworthy solution through its in-warranty support.
