Hello there! I've been searching the net and these forums for awhile now and didn't find answers to these specific questions. Any help would be appreciated.
Question 1:
I (now) know that the iPod Classic is extremely picky in regard to getting video signals to the TV. I know that Apple requires that I purchase its cords and/or its Apple Universal Dock (not to be mistaken with the iPod Universal Dock, which is discontinued) in order to enable output to my TV. However, I have read in a few other places that the iPod Universal Dock will work with the iPod Classic. Is this true? If I plug my iPod Classic into the iPod Universal Dock will I be able to use a non-Apple cord that connects from the headphone jack in the dock to AV cables (Yellow and White) on the TV? Also, will the S-Video on the iPod Universal Dock work with my iPod Classic? I really don't feel like going out and spending another $100 on the new Apple dock and cords.
Question 2:
In regard to the iPod Universal Dock, I have noticed that there are three part numbers: MA045G/A, MA045G/B, and MA045G/C. Is there any significant difference between these? Will all (or none) of them work with my iPod Classic?
Any other tips on how to get around having to spend another $100?

I am getting ready to try a 3rd-party S-Video to composite cable to play video from my new 80G iPod classic via an older Universal Dock (w/S-Video out) to a TV system. Will report back on results.

WRT160NV3 wireless issues (yes I searched)

For 3 months my wireless worked like a champ and about a week ago it started just dropping off, refusing to connect to anything but local etc etc etc.
I did everything I knew to do, I searched and tried everything I could find, and I searched on here and tried anything I hadn't already tried.
The modem is fine, my computer is fine along with every other computer in the house. Is it possible this thing is going dead within 3 months of purchase?Sending it back and waiting 4 to 6 weeks while they try to fix it is out of the question, I guess the only reason I am here is to see if there is anything magical someone knows about that can get it to work properly otherwise its going to be a paperweight and I will go back to my Dling gaming routers.
Firmware will not go through I have tried about 20 times, it fails every freaking time and after the failure it refuses to let me go into the router settings anymore and I have to reset and start all over again.
I am well above an average user, I have had more than enough patience with this thing, I have tried live chat but because I live in Japan and work for the US Military they won't help me it was a pretty quick chat to, THIS IS US ONLY TECH SERVICE you need to call 03-xxx-xxxx etc, if thats the case which its not suppose to be I guess its time to have them yanked from Military installations, and BXs throughout the world.
I am pretty upset a 3 month router stored and cared for properly is not performing like it should.

Have you tried to upgrade the firmware of your router from a different computer?

Change the Wireless security mode to WPA, For Encryption, select TKIP...For Passphrase input your desired WPA Key. For example , MySecretKey , This will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone and remember the key.
NOTE : Passphrase should be more that 8 characters...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 50,Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2201,Change the RTS Threshold to 2202 and Click on Save Settings...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

Creating result based search programatically

Hi All,
I am trying to create a simple result based search programmatically. I need to do this because I want the user to basically be able to select a specific table name and then the search adjusts the criteria and results automatically based on the table selected. If you like it is a generic query mechanism.
I have attempted to do this by declaratively setting up the query region as far as possible and then adding the table fields and binding them to a VO instance that I have created (I also create the view definition programatically)
The query region renders and the go and clear buttons are available, the result table renders and if I do a blind query it works fine and the result appear. The problem I have is that for the fields in the table that have queriable set to yes, the search region is not rendering the search fields.
This is what I have done (all in process request for now to get it working)

The query bean and table have been defined declaratively, my hope was when I added the leaf nodes to the table with query able set to true that the framework would automatically figure the bindings out but it doesn't seem to be doing this.
Could this be a UIX rendering problem that I need to get around somehow?

I am using Calvin Ly's method for highighting search using
RoboHelpHTML X5. Everything works well until I get to the topic.

I can't get the search field to work in iOS 7 notes. Help.

I'm told that swiping down to the top of the Notes page should reveal a search field for searching Notes. Doesn't work for me. Does this still work in ios 7. If not, how do I search in the Notes app now? Thanks.

Yes, the search field does work in Notes.
You can also use search your entire iPhone (including Notes) for something - this can be very useful
- in any normal apps page put your finger on the screen around the middle of the screen and swipe downwards
- you can then enter something to search for in your entire iPhone
Try resetting your iPhone to get Notes search back,
Reset your iPhone by pressing the 'Sleep' and 'Home' button at the same time for about 15 seconds or so. Your iPhone will then go through a reset / reboot procedure and will be ready for use within about a minute.
Don't worry about doing this as you will not lose data or settings.
Good luck and do report back.

Yes, normal search allow you to use wildcard. You can read: Retrieval and Classification (TREX) Features and Functions.pdf document.
The individual retrieval functions of the TREX search engine are in detail:
1) An exact search for individual words or phrases (phrase search)
2) A Boolean search for individual words or phrases
3) A masked or wildcard search
4) A fuzzy or error-tolerant search
5) A linguistic search
6) An attribute search or search for document properties
Wildcard Search
The masked or wildcard search enhances search options by allowing the use of placeholders (also called truncation marks or wildcard characters) for part of the search term. The * asterisk is used as a placeholder. It represents any amount of letters in the search term, and can occur at the beginning, end, or in the middle of a word.
Example of a masked search: A search for <Comp> finds documents that contain Company. A search for <Comp*code> finds documents that contain Company Code.

Searching for PPPoE?

This is what my my airport icon keeps saying..anyone know anything about this?

I tried this, and yes the searching for PPPoE stopped, but my Airport went to flashing amber and I was not conencting to the internet via my base station. I could still conenct to other networks without trouble.
From what I know my isp does require me to connect (dsl) using PPPoE. The only time I get the green light is when it is set-up for Connect using Ethernet, PPPoE in the Admin Utility section. I have it now to conenct using PPPoE everywhere and not working....but can still connect to other networks....
Gosh I hope this can be figured out......is it the modem? This is MTS TV and uses a unit that does the digital TV and has the modem in it too. And I am using a very long ethernet cable....who knows. I do get the green light though.

Import error "not enough room on "drive" to copy..."

Hello.
I have a built 2.8ghz dual xeon workstation that has a 640gb system drive and a 3.8tb (raid 5) storage drive and am unable to add any more songs/moves/music with out always getting an error of not enough room on 'drive' to copy all of the requested files.
right now the storage drive only has 1.2tb used(all itunes in a single library) i don't think its a item limit in itunes, because it will allow me to add new items as long as i don't allow itunes to move/copy/organize the items.
I know the drive is not full because i can still add files to it via windows.
any help would be appreciated, yes i searched and did not find anything that helped. please let me know if you need any more information.

I encountered the same problem today. Reading other threads I saw where a person identified the bug. I will file today as well.
I purchased an album from iTunes - I don't recall what they call the product - LP view perhaps? It is the one with the liner notes and such. Anyway some of the the files in this folder have a .itlp suffix. If I skip this album the rest moves fine.
So basically first run a find to locate any folder/album with the offending suffix. Then select your entire iTunes library. Then un-select the items associated with the offending album. Then right click and select consolidate. That should work.
I did not do exactly this. Since I have a large library I selected 10-15,000 songs at a time and chose consolidate. This also works.

IDT Audio Nuances

Hi,
I'm currently using a HP Spectre XT 2001tu. Everything was working fine until I had to reinstall the Windows 7 OS due to memory dump issues. And I deleted the recovery partition because of my sheer ignorance. After the installation, everything is working fine, except for the audio.
I have downloaded the latest drivers available for my ultrabook, but the audio drivers just won't get the sound on.
Here's what all I have done -- I restarted my laptop after every step:
1) Roll back BIOS to default, but nothing happened. Then I updated to the latest BIOS, nothing happened.
2) Reinstalled the IDT drivers over 20 times, nothing happened. Downloaded Win7 and Win8 drivers just to be sure. But none of the drivers are working. Yes, I searched for my laptop specefic drivers on the HP database.
3) Went to device manager. There's a yellow notification besides the "High Definition Audio Device". Uninstalled the driver and scanned for hardware changes. Windows began installing its own drivers, but Windows couldn't complete the installation
4) Opened the sound controller from the device manager, it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
5) Used HP Support Assistant to search for driver updates. It updated my system, but audio still not working.
5) Reinstalled Windows 7 from a different disk. Everything except for Audio worked.
6) I constantly receive "No audio device is installed" on my taskbar, and there aren't any hidden playback or recording devices. Window troubleshooter couldn't solve the problem either.
-----> Then I found a WIERD THING.
I went intomy laptop specefic drivers which I downloaded from the HP servers.
Their supported devices are:
FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76E5
FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76E0
Then I went to my device manager, and opened my audio device hardware ID
. It was as follows:
FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2806&SUBSYS_80860101
The drivers that HP is providing for Spectre XT are not supported by Spectre XT.
I'd like to know what's going on?

Unable to create single delivery through scheduling agreement - MM37

Dear All,
In our scenario, we are creating scheduling agreement with tcode - ME37 for multiple material and for each material we create multiple delivery creation date schedule with past date (ME38).
Then we create delivery with VL10D, we put scheduling agreement number in purchase order tab - purchase order field & Execute.
It creates multiple deliveries but we want to have single delivery.
We implemented SAP note - 377501 , but is is still not working.

But first I want to confirm,
1. Whether is it correct process to create delivery through VL10D for scheduling agreement (ME37) ?
2. Also to overcome delivery split, we implemented SAP note - 377501 but did not worked.
Therefore I am thinking to implement SAP Note - 386340, Kindly advice.

How do I reset a RAW file to it's original settings?

[I use PS CS3 (Although I have access to CS4) and an intel imac]
I want to keep my RAW files unadulterated, in the state that they were shot, so that I can return to them at a later date to 'play' again, with a fresh point of view. However, when I open Bridge, i see they have the icon on them indicating that changes have been applied to them. I don't need the RAW files with the changes, I already have the jpgs and tiffs that i created from them.
Yes, i searched the forms here and found how to prevent the settings from being applied to RAW files that I open from now on: tested the method and it's good.
I also followed the remove xmp file advice and that worked, too.
However, I still have a couple of RAW files that didn't have xmp files associated with them, and I can't get rid of the little icon, hence i assume the changes are still there.
How can I recover the original unchanged RAW files for these?
What I've tried: in Camera Raw i 'reset camera raw defaults', because I thought that would return all the sliders to the unchanged state, but as you can see, it still indicates changes. The camera is panasonic, and came with Silky Pix to work with the RAW files: last night I tried SP on the same photo (created the spd file). Would the spd file have anything to do with my problem?
By the way, SP opened the raw file while it still had the CR changes applied and I think SP might have been working from the already-adjusted raw file. (Which is another reason why i want to keep the RAW files clean and original)
Hope someone can help me (And that this isn't too confusing)

I just upgraded to Photoshop Elements 6 and installed Camera Raw. I’m taking RAW photos since some time so I hope this will improve my workflow.
Like Elizbonn, I’m a bit lost about some features of Camera Raw and the files it manages.
I understand what a RAW file is and I think I understand what a DNG file is.
Is there a reference document more specific than the Help files?
I found out by myself a couple of stuff but I’m not quite sure I guessed correctlt and I have some questions here. Maybe they are answered some place.
1. The RAW file is never modified (by any soft that I know of actually). Right?
2. DNG is a universal format that stores the same data as the original RAW with no loss. Right?
2.1. Yet creating a DNG file is optional. I have a Canon camera so my RAWs are in CR2 format which is widely supported and since I’m just an amateur photographer I don’t need to go for DNGs. Right? Or I could just trash the CR2 files without losing anything. Right?
3. The xmp file stores parameters about both the RAW file and the DNG (if I create one). It has to remain in the same folder at all times. I tried renaming: it works if it's applied to all the files. Some under-the-hood details are still unclear with Camera Raw:
3.1. When a RAW image is opened, if I do no modification and I click the Open Image button, an xmp file is created. What for? If I trash it nothing happens.
3.2. When a RAW image is opened, if I do some modifications and I click the Open Image button the modifications I did are stored in the xmp file. In the future, whenever I open that RAW file, Camera Raw will display the modified image provided the xmp is in the same folder. Right? The only way to revert to the original image is by moving the xmp file somewhere else. Right?
3.3. The Undo function with Camera Raw goes only one step backward. Right?
4. Camera Raw’s functions are in part similar to Photoshop Element’s and some are specific. Do they work the same?

I want to create a new Message Input LOV under Message Component Layout:
(SearchMessageComponentLayout).
When I go to create an item I need to enter an External LOV but I am not sure if there is one available and if there is one available where is it located.
For example another item in this region called the Supplier Number has the following External LOV Region:
/oracle/apps/icx/lov/webui/ShipmentNumberLovRN
I know that Supplier Part number is standard because it appears in the search results table region on the same page.
Any information at all would be highly appreciated.

Supplier Part Number unlike ShipmentNumber is a base attribute in iP.
You might want to create a new lov region and a VO (selecting the distinct SPN values from ICX_CAT_ITEMS_B).
Yes, the Search Results table has SPN, but its not an LOV there...!
