Yosemite: active Perl 5.16 @INC includes Perl 5.18 pathes

Hi friends,
I'm a Perl developer and I recently upgraded to Yosemite.
The active running perl is version 5.15.3 - check with "perl --version".
The question "which perl -a" points to /opt/local/bin/perl and symlinks to  -> perl5.16.
That is o.k., /opt/local/bin/perl5.16.3 links to perl5.16 too.
When I use a new module - unknown to perl - I get the well known message "Can't locate Mymodule.pm in @INC ... and then: @INC contains: ... /Library/Perl/5.18/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Library/Perl/5.18 /Network/Library/Perl/5.18/darwin-thread-multi-2level /Network/Library/Perl/5.18 and all other known (and added 5.18 perl.pm folders).
That means, perl5.16.3 on Yosemite looks for 5.18. modules as a standard.

0. Since you have barely enough Ram, you must be very careful about running too many apps together, and avoid everything that is not really needed, or even not compatible.
1. uninstall iAntivirus and MacKeeper completely, Counterproductive.
Uninstall also the Seagate disk software.
2. you have uTorrent installed and used it. Even worse it runs continuously! This app- as other torrent apps- broadcatsts your data, and the downloaded items are often infected. A mac is much more sensitive than a PC. So carefully examine which apps were so downloaded; and think about it before  using the torrent app again.
3. In SystemPreferences->Users&Groups->LoginItems   remove ALL  entries, with the minus sign underneath.
After that restart.
4. Now uninstall the following:  Growl, smcFancontrol, LittleSnitch, AndroidFileTransfer.
5. I do not have experience with all those audio and music apps you use, but I expect several are not (yet) compatible with Yosemite. Check that and uninstall what is not ready for Yosemite. Maybe you do not even need some at all.
6. Rethink which apps are hacked. They may be infected.
7. In MacintoshHD->Library->InternetPlug-ins  delete the two  AdobePDFViewer plugins.
8. In MacintoshHD->Library->LaunchDaemons  delete the  Adobe Switchboard plist.
9. Carefully research the compatibility of Digidesign !!

    We now use Acrobat xi for special active forms we created that include certifications and signature fields, some of the forms are programmed to create other forms, will we have a problem upgrading to DC
    Our users use a form template to create other adobe forms with calculated fields, signature fields (using digital signatures)
    , and buttons. Will we be able to continue developing these forms if we upgrade to Acrobat DC?

    Hi Alex ,
    In general ,you would not have any issues and problems moving to Acrobat DC .It has a different user interface and with more enhanced features .
    You would be able to develop the kind of forms you are referring to .

  • Yosemite/Active Directory/Windows Server

    After upgrading two iMacs from Mavericks to Yosemite, both now fail to connect to user accounts created with Windows Server2012. When using Mavericks I did not have this issue. Any thoughts? I did unbind but now the binding process fails as well.

    This fixed my problem- Network Preferences/Advanced/DNS then add the NAME of your local server to the search domain. Click apply. Next, open Directory Utility and unbind the computer. Lastly, Bind the computer making sure to input the name of the local server in the space for Active Directory Domain (the same name you added to the Search Domain) and click on Bind. Hope this works!

  • Filter per activity for resources who are included in more than one group

    Have several resources who participates in 3 Groups (Design, Assembly, and testing) Would like to somehow filter or Group in a Way so a report can be viewed only showing the actual work they are doing för the specific Group. I.e. showing their assembly
    work only. etc.
    (All assembly tasks has a taskname which includes "assembly"')
    Kind regards //Anders

    Anders,
    I replied earlier but after reading you post several times I realized that I probably misunderstood what you want. This is what I now understand. You have several resources, each of who may work on various parts of design tasks, assembly tasks, and test
    tasks. For example, let's say your resources are Joe, Bill & Tom. Joe is assigned to a design and test task, Bill is assigned to an assembly and test test task and Tom is assigned to a design task, an assembly task and a test task (Tom is very versatile).
    You would like to see a report showing just the assembly tasks and the amount of work each of the three resources is assigned on those tasks.
    Assuming the above is a correct interpretation, you will need to employ three processes, some VBA, grouping and filtering.
    1. First, designate a custom text field for group identification (e.g. use Task Text1 to enter "design", "assembly", or "test" for each task)
    2. In order to use grouping and filtering effectively,  you will need to translate the Task Text1 information to the Assignment Text1 field. To do that, go to the MVP website at: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm, and run the macro in FAQ 37.
    3. Now go to the Task Usage view and set up a group with Text1 as the first group by element and Name as the second group by element. Check the box to group assignments and not tasks. Then select "assignment" for field type of the second element
    (i.e. Name).
    4. Apply the group
    5. To show only the work hours for each resource in a specific group, autofilter on the desired group. Note, if you do not run the macro to populate the Assignment Text1 field with the Task Text1 field, the filter will yield nothing.
    Hope this helps

  • Is Company Code Activation (Set to Productive) typically included in Mock Cutover

    Hello.
    In a typical mock cutover, is the setting of the Company Code to productive typically included?
    Given that it can be re-set, I can't think of a down side to doing so. I'm just looking for what is standard practice.
    Thanks.

    Hi David,
    The purpose of Company Code set to Productive is mainly to prevent any inadvertent deletion of data by the users like resetting depreciation data, deleting vendors / customers etc. For example, If one of your cut-over task is to delete the some of transaction data in your test system, then you need to remove this tick and delete and then put it back. It all depends on your requirements, how you want to use this field.
    But, as far as production system is concerned, you MUST ensure you have selected this check box in OBY6 transaction code. Include this as a manual task in your cut-over plan. Otherwise, any inadvertent deletion of data would become very costly for the business.
    Hope this helps.

    Ravi

  • Including Library in Build Path

    I am using Eclipse 3.x,
    How do I add External Libraries in my Project
    Ans: Add all the external Jars in the build path (from project properites)
    What if its a huge hirarchy ?
    Ans shoud be: make a userlibrary and link that library to the folder which contains all jar files (hirarch of folders), and then include that userlibrary to your project.
    Problem; If I create userlibrary, I have to select the jar files .. not the higetst level folder, which contains all the jar files ... This is what I dont want. I want to just select a folder.. and that all, and then use this folder as the build path .. "HOW do I do this ""??
    -

    In eclpise, Drop all jar files under the lib folder of your project (including folders and subfolders).
    Right click on the project icon, go to <properties><java build path><libraries>
    Navigate to one of the sub folders. click on the top jar file, hold down the <shift> key and then click on the bottom jar file. All jar files between are selected. Add them to the project. Since this is a one-time-only effort, I wouldn't spend too much time trying to find a better short cut. You can pretty quickly go though each subfolder and get what you need.
    If you insist on your way, perhaps you need to repackage all the folders and subfolders with thier jar file in an all enclosing jar file with a manifest. I dont know how to do this.
    An alternative is to read up on Maven (the more modern way of automatically adding jar files and thier correct versions to a project). However, it will probably take you a long time to come up to speed on it.

  • Schema include with a relative path coming up relative to xml doc

    I have a main schema document that includes my other schema documents to make up the entire schema. All the documents are in the same default no namespace. All the includes are relative to the main schema doc (they are all in the same dir). I set the schemasource in the SAXParser to the main document. Then I try to parse and it isn't finding any of the included files. I have searched and searched these forums and found no answer.
    What i have tried is making an EntityResolver and when I print out the systemId in resolveEntity, it is printing out a location that is relative to the XML document that it being parsed, not a path relative to the main schema where all the schema files are. If i set the schemaLocation in the include to be the full path, it works fine. Why it is looking for them in the directory where the XML document is and not the schema?
    any help would be greately appreicated. Thanks!

    Probably because some standard says that what it is supposed to do. If you think it is wrong (and have a reference to some standards document to back up your opinion) you could complain to the people who maintain your parser.

  • How can I include the document name/path in my printed Numbers doc?

    Hello, Apple gurus...
    So here's my (hopefully) easy question: is it possible to insert (and then print) a document's filename/path into the footer (or anywhere)? I want to be able to easily see where the file lives in the printed version of my Numbers doc. I've found discussions that recommend using menu INSERT > FILENAME, but I don't have those options.
    Thanks!
    Erik

    In the new version of Numbers this option is not available.  You will have to type the file name into the header yourself.  You can post feedback to Apple using the menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback"
    or use Numbers2.3 which should be in the folder "/Applications/iWork '09" if you previously had it installed

    According to the error messages ,this issue seems to be related to the test software. Is it a software developed by yourself ?
    Please check the test software path .Exclude the special "~" symbol of "~test" in the path and then check the symptom.

    I've run Opatch a million times before (well, maybe not that many but quite a few anyways). Now I'm trying to run it again and I get the following message:

    I even installed Active Perl, in case there was something missing, to no avail.
    I'm using Windows 2000 Professional.

    It seems like there is some mismatch.
    PERL5LIB is set, but what about PERL_BIN? I would suggest you to unset both the variables and try. Ideally, OPatch will search the perl inside Oracle Home and set it accordingly.
    You said you have installed Active perl, but PERL5LIB is set to the perl in Oracle Home.
    So better that you unset both the variables. Also, check if you have this file C:\Oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\perl\5.6.1\bin\MSWin32-x86\perl.exe

  • Urgent Problem in Executing perl script from shell script

    Hello,
    I've a shell script on one server (source) and a perl script on another (target).
    My perl script will check whether the directoryname, filename provided by shell script exists on the target server or not.
    My shell script is as follows:

    echo $cmd
    And my perl script uses a package CU_Functions.pm, which is in the same directory as the perl script on the target server.
    But when I invoke the perl script from shell script, I get the following error:

    ssh user@host "export ENV_VAR=/path/to/include/files:$ENV_VAR ; /full/path/to/script"

  • Apps 10g-11g Upgrade: 11g perl PATH location

    OS: Linux x86
    E-biz: 11i
    DB: 10.2.0.4 upgrade to 11.2.0.3
    I am upgrading our DB to 11g and the interoperability note (881505.1) says the following:
    Make sure that "... PATH holds the directory where the new perl executable is located (usually $ORACLE_HOME/perl/bin)."
    The Linux perl version is /usr/bin/perl (v5.8.5) and is FIRST in $PATH and the version included with 11g is v5.10.0.
    In order to ensure that the 11g perl is executed I would need to put OH/perl/bin <<before>> /usr/bin in the PATH.
    It seems a bit strange to say to include this in the path and NOT say to ensure that it is FIRST in the path.
    I'm thinking that it really doesn't matter but which perl version is used but I am just checking to be safe.
    Thanks

    OK, I have an update for this issue:
    I updated the .bash_profile and placed $ORACLE_HOME/perl/bin first in PATH. But, it was overwritten by the APPS.env file, $ORACLE_HOME/CONTEXT_NAME.env.
    The CONTEXT_NAME.env file has these lines that are used to set the PATH:
    PERLBIN=`dirname /usr/bin/perl`
    PATH=${PERLBIN}:${PATH}
    I then found the template file that creates these lines in this file --> $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/template/ad8idbux.env.
    In file ad8idbux.env there are these lines that build the PATH and place the desired perl location first.
    PERLBIN=`dirname %s_adperlprg%`
    PATH=${PERLBIN}:${PATH}
    So, the key to this issue is to update the CONTEX_FILE and set s_adperlprg to the desired perl path.
    It appears that 10g used /usr/bin/perl but now 11g needs ORACLE_HOME/bin/perl.

  • Perl clients

    I am trying to access our web services via a Perl client. I am using the SOAPLite
    package with Active Perl. There is no support for complex types in the WSDL handling
    in the SOAPLite package.
    Now there is a non-WSDL interface. It takes 2 arguments a URI and a proxy. I do
    not know what the proxy is for BEA web services
    Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

    Actually, when running WL7.0 this didn't quite work for me when running
    towards my own dummy WebService. I needed to specify the name of the
    parameter as well:
    my $r = $s->getTemp(SOAP::Data->name('string')->type(string =>
    $zipCode))->result;
    (if the name of the parameter for the call in the WSDL is called 'string',
    which is the case when autogenerating a WebService with ant - does anyone
    know of a way to specity the names of the message parts?).

    Hi Alan,
    Here's a commented example of what I think you are looking for:
    ### START OF SOAP::Lite client FOR WWS ###
    #!perl -w
    use SOAP::Lite;
    # Value passed to uri() method, is the value assigned
    # to the namespace attribute of the <soap:body> element,
    # in the WSDL document.
    # Value passed to proxy() method, is the value assigned
    # to the location attribute of the <soap:address> element,
    # in the WSDL document. This value also cooresponds with the
    # <servlet-mapping> element, in web.xml, for the
    # servlet that receives SOAP request. For a RPC-style
    # WebLogic Web Service, this is the StatelessBeanAdapter.
    # Here's the <servlet-mapping> element:
    # <servlet-mapping>
    # <servlet-name>statelessSession.WeatherHome</servlet-name>
    # <url-pattern>/weatheruri</url-pattern>
    # </servlet-mapping>
    my $s = SOAP::Lite
    -> uri('urn:Weather')
    -> proxy('http://localhost:7001/weather/weatheruri');
    my $zipCode = '90210';
    my $r = $s->getTemp(SOAP::Data->type(string => $zipCode))->result;
    print "Temperature for $zipCode is $r\n";
    ### END OF SOAP::Lite client FOR WWS ###
    This example uses the weatherEJB example from the WLS 6.1 install, but Ithink
    you can figure out from the comments how to use map things to yourparticuar WebLogic
    Web Service ;-)
