You suck verizon & HTC

In so many ways verizon and HTC are being corporate monsters who don't care to tick off its customers any longer, and this needs to end. I hope everybody will read this and help towards stopping verizons corrupt practices, please post your horror stories and maybe verizon will attempt to satisfy its customers for once.
Verizon went from making sure a customer was happy 2-3 years ago to do everything they can to screw the customer over out of money, this has to stop!FAIL
You won't take back and replace your garbage thunderbolt battery that doesn't last 2 hours, even if charging port is bad, and sensitivity is uncontrollable..FAIL

You have a brand new device on a brand new network, minor problems are going to happen..
Have you tried to bump charge the battery? turn off wifi/bluetooth, change screen brightness off. Download juice defender and set up a proper profile.
HTC put the same battery in this phone as the incredible, maybe go troll their forums..
If the charging port is bad you can take it to the store and replace it, there has to be something you are leaving out of that story.
Of course you get charged for an extended battery, it is an accessory's
If you return the thunderbolt you get charged a restocking fee, if your replace it you wont.

VZW can't have coverage everywhere, it is regulated by the FCC.. if you can't get coverage you can't get coverage.

    I had picked up my Thunderbolt on release day and a few days later opted to purchase an extended battery (Verizon/HTC brand 2750mAh).  Later in the week, I wanted to purchase the Thunderbolt specific car-dock only to find out that it will only fit the HTC Thunderbolts using the standard battery.  I am not about to swap out my battery every time I get into and out of my vehicle (which is often) and I will not give up the extended battery life.
    Hey Verizon?!  Since the stock battery's life is somewhat weak, and so many will end up purchasing an extended battery, how about you re-design a windshield mount, so that those of us with the larger capacity batteries can have a little automotive dock love?!

    It doesn't need to be a seperate product so much s a re-design of the existing one with a cavity across the back.
    ProClipUSA markets phone holders with extended batteries in mind, and they even integrate the magnetic trigger to place the phone into "nav mode".  I guess I stick with the universal mount that I have ordered via eBay until ProClipUSA announces that their product is up for sale.

    Hey Verizon / HTC / Google  Please fix the caller ID problem, post 2.2 Froyo UPDATE.  This is a major Problem. 

    I have provided some steps below that may help with the Caller Id issue you are experiencing.
    Try completing a soft reset on the device. A soft reset would be powering the device off and pulling out the battery. Once the battery is removed, place it back in and power the device back on.
    Dial *228 and send. Once dialed, listen for the recording to prompt you for option 1 and select option 1. The phone should complete its programming within a minute.
    Ensure you are using the area-code and 7 digit number format (ex. 9999951212)
    Try removing the contact and re-adding it.

    I recently called Verizon and asked why HTC HUB was not installed on my Verizon HTC device, he said that because it was buggy on Verizon Devices they pulled it, but he also said it was coming soon to our devices, but he couldnt find an official release date, He also said it might be coming in the ICS update for Verizon devices.

    if I understand it correctly, the Harmon/Kardon version has the exact same hardware, but the software has a tweaked EQ. In my opinion, it isn't worth considering a separate SKU. If you want an M8, get an M8 now and don't wait for one with gimmicky software tweaks.

  • Forget HDMI if you have VERIZON! UNACCEPTABLE service from TECH!

    MIght not happen today...  might not happen tomorrow... but your Setbox will begin to reboot in the middle of programming if you have HD and use HDMI..   Known communication issue between the box and your tv reception using HDMI..   Tech support sent me coponent chords to use instead..  and the quality SUCKS!!   It might as well be in black and white!!!!   I paid good money for this TV and have a second class cable provider with horrible service and horrible equipment!    Do NOT spend money on a TV if you have Verizon!!!!   I am going to complain about this issue to anyone that will listen and post picture and video to expose this issue..         

    Have you also tried other HDMI cables aside from what Verizon has given you.  It could be that the cables your tech provided are just not stable.  Lastly, you say it is terrible picture using component however since Fios HD is still only 720p / 1080i it is possible that your STB is not set for HD over component and that setting needs to be changed.  There should be no picture difference over component cables compared to HDMI when dealing with 1080i / 720p content.  Component is even preferred in some instances.

    I would like to take this opportunity as one of the more vocal critics of Verizon for their delay in updates, to thank you for delivering us the Lumia Denim firmware update for the Lumia Icon before any other U.S. Carrier did.  I know that getting updates out can be a difficult project, but thank you for releasing this update.  I frequently made the comment that if AT&T released the Denim firmware update before Verizon released it for the Lumia Icon that I would be leaving Verizon for AT&T.  I can happily say that since you guys delivered, I will be remaining a customer of Verizon and happily using my Lumia Icon phone which now REALLY feels like the premium high-end flagship device that I was told I would get when I purchased it. 

    Please don't misunderstand my "Thank you" to Verizon.  I in NO WAY am "praising" them for I, as well, still have a very bad taste in my mouth regarding Cyan, and I will still remain extremely vocal regarding their treatment of customers in regards to communications about software updates.  Verizon has a VERY LONG way to go to learn what customer service is.  My statement was just my way of stating to Verizon that they have earned a "repreive" from my departure from their business by releasing the Denim update before AT&T did.  Otherwise, I wouldn't be here writing any of this.  I'd be over at AT&T.  Having said that, my mother raised me to show appreciation when appreciation is due.  Verizon "could" have decided not to update our Lumia Icons at all, so given that they did, I felt a "thank you" was in order.  However, that would be the full extent of my thank you, and I will remain very vocal regarding areas where I feel Verizon's customer service is "lacking."

    NEW UNDOCUMENTED FEATURES in the "new software update" is nothing but pure garbage. Phone now reboots during a phone call, screen blanks out power button don't work, touch screen and still stays blank then have to pull the battery out to reset the annoying frustrating phone. Verizon when and if are you going to get the problem corrected?? Price goes up Quality and Service goes down Can you hear me now Verizon????

    It is August 18th and we all know the rumors said we would get Froyo today on our  Incredibles. If you receive the HTC Droid Incredible Froyo update, please post here so those of us waiting will know that the update is starting to download. It should be downloading by batches of phones. Once we know it has started, at least we'll all know it's then just going to be a short time until we are in an update batch.

    My wife had the update waiting when she checked her phone at 9am this morning, I'm still waiting.
    She's got a 917 area code and I'm 646.  Her phone's paid by a corporate account while mine is tied to a different larger corporate account, but it is my personal phone that I pay for. 
    I've got my phone about a month before her and have been a longer VZW customer, so no idea what the distribution order is.

    I don't want to have to search through a million of you little forum sites.  THAT IS ALL A FRONT for you not having to hire people to answer e-mails.  I did not sign up for "Send Now" yet I received a confirmation that I did.  Now I have to believe that most people who use Adobe also have jobs  -  and many, like myself don't want to take time during the work day to sit on the phone with Adobe or "Chat"  so the ability to leave an e-mail at night is not only a nice customer experience - I can't think of another website that doesn't allow you to do this

    This is simply and utterly one of the most inconsiderate of all Adobe takeovers. Did you not think artists that use Adobe products might have accounts already with Behance? You have screwed us. Verizon, however, flatly denies this is the case and refuses to transfer the upgrade discount to a bill.     I wanted to purchase a Sony PS4 Last of Us remastered bundle online and pick it up in a store, however, none were in stock locally. It showed that it was in stock online for shipping. I did not want to ship an item this expensive to my home and have it sitting outside on my porch all day, so I wanted to order it and ship it to my local store. There appeared to be no way to do that online, so I opened a chat session with Best Buy customer service. After explaining what I wanted to do to this person, they proceeded to ask for SKU numbers and zip codes and to just repeat back to me what I had already told them, that it was not in stock locally. I HAD already established that fact. I told her I wanted it shipped to the store and not to my home and she said you cannot do that. <br><br>Later that evening, I decided to check the stores in a different city where I was going over the weekend to see if it was in stock and if so, I would be able pick it up then. I was glad to see that it showed the item as being in stock and I placed an order online and selected a store for pickup. I received an order confirmed email and soon after I received a YOUR ORDER IS READY FOR PICKUP email. I was very happy that things were working out so that I could get the Sony PS4 after all because it was a last minute surprise birthday gift for my child. However, things went horribly bad soon after I read the "your order is ready for pickup" email. I was not available to answer the phone and an employee from the store that I had selected for pickup left a message on our machine stating that the Sony PS4 Last of Us bundle that I had ordered was not available and did I want to get something else instead. My child was the one that played the message back and came running asking if I was buying a PS4. <br><br>Needless to say, I am irate over all of this. I had received an ORDER IS READY FOR PICKUP email, so why did I get that If the order was NOT READY FOR PICKUP?!! Why is one of your store employees calling my house and saying it's not available after I was sent the order is ready for pickup email? I am so angry over that phone call because it ruined the birthday surprise that I had planned for my child. She has been wanting the PS4 since last year and I had purposely made her believe that I wasn't going to get her one. You should realize that people buy things as gifts throughout the year and you should not be calling and leaving messages stating what someone ordered where other family members can hear the message too. Regardless of that, I never should have been getting the phone call in the first place, since I had already received an ORDER IS READY FOR PICKUP email. {removed per forum guidelines} <br><br>You are the most incompetent retail business that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have ordered from you in the past and the transactions were satisfactory then. You cannot keep track of the true status of your online transactions.     Other carriers (AT&T, Sprint) already have it, but Verizon is taking forever apparently.

    I recently bought an HTC One m8 from Verizon, and like many other customers the Extreme Power-saving Feature was one of my keys factors to deciding to buy. I was very disappointed to learn after the fact that Verizon had not included, and has no intention to include the feature in the future. (Mentioned in other threads in the forum). I've read the argument made that Verizon never advertised the feature and never said it would be included with their version of the phone, but they also never went out of the way to warn perspective buyers that the feature, which is part of the m8 phone on other carriers and marketed by HTC as a part of their phone wouldn't be included. When people are researching phones before they decide what to get they read what features the manufacturer(s) have designed and implemented in those phones, not search to find all the things the carrier may have stripped from the phone.
    It's impractical and offensive to tell a customer that its his/her responsibility every time they buy a phone from them to dig deep into website forums and look for what they decided to remove from it that the manufacturer had built, and advertised to be in their phone. This is the type of thing that is bad PR for Verizon, and something that will make customers go to other carriers. I don't want to offend some of the nice Verizon employees who want to  help their customers and simply don't have the power to correct the issue themselves, but its in Verizon's best interest to either fix their network to work with this feature, or find/hire someone else who will. Doing it soon before the issue escalates and news of Verizon's statement to do nothing to correct the issue for their HTC One m8 customers spreads like wildfire and burns them.
    I hope someone at Verizon doesn't let the rest of the company go on ignoring the issue and steps up to find a  way to enable Extreme Power Saving Mode on the Verizon Network. Right now the impression many people have is something along the lines of: now that you've bought a phone from us, and signed up for a contract with us we don't care what you want and think.
    In the meantime it would be a good idea to enable the option in the phone with a popup message when enabled that reads something along the lines of: Verizon has concluded that in some cases Extreme Power Saving Mode can cause network issues. If you experience network issues please disable extreme power saving mode and return to one of the  other power modes. Verizon will continue to research the issue, and will institute a fix if/when a solution is found.

While I'm there my plan was to buy HTC DROID DNA from Verizon as a contract free phone. As it is a Global Network phone will it work with my own network carrier and sim card back in Europe?

    The DNA will work on the following GSM/UMTS network frequencies (per the DNA info page), if your carrier uses one of these you should be good.
