Zero Session and bet_blob_file_src error
My application has several public pages that include links to PDF files stored in my database. The links are generated by a call to APEX_UTIL.GET_BLOB_FILE_SRC, which is wrapped by APEX_UTIL.PREPARE_URL. I am using the 0 session ID for these public pages and all works as expected until a user clicks on one of the PDF links, then the server returns "HTTP Status 500 - System Unavailable". However, if the user first authenticates and then clicks on the link, the PDF is displayed as expected. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is there something I'm missing?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

CS is working fine, but i don't understand the session ID problem.
Then i try to use ssl with CS-6, but it don't work.
SSL handshake work fine (=> certificates are correct), user can log in, but the session die. It is thick with garbage (random characters). I don't understand what happens, but here is snapshot: http://bug.sch.bme.hu/error.bmp
And i see the following log on my terminal
Assertion failure: source UTF-8 string is exhausted in XSLString.cpp.
Then i set
service.http.ssl.port.enable = "yes", becouse i want to use SSL only. I restart CS, but it bind to port 80 too. Why? How can i turn off HTTP?
Best regards
RobertI just copied the conf from SUN manual and then it worked fine - I just have a problem on timeouts (that I posted right now..) I'm pasting here my ssl conf - maybe it could help.

Upgraded to 10.4 - Session and Backup Errors
Hello All,
I just upgraded to 10.4 and now my IPhone 4 is having issues syncing. First it was stuck in a verify mode. Then the backup would not work. I deleted all of my backups and tried again. I either get a message saying that a backup could not be saved on this computer or a session could not be started.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
RobAll Set! I had to uninstall every thing apple on my computer includeing the hardware drivers. Once I reinstalled 10.4, Bonjour, etc and plugged in my phone it reinstalled the drivers and all was fine. The problem was also happening on my IPad and IPod so I know that it was not my phone causing the problem.

ODI-01266: Agent {0} detected Session as stale session and set to error
Hi
I am a beginner in odi
I scheduled a package to run . but this error came up :" ODI-01266: Agent {0} detected Session as stale session and set to error status"
what is this error and what should i do???

mediCleaning Stale Sessions
Stale sessions are sessions that are incorrectly left in a running state after an agent or repository crash.
The Agent that started a session automatically detects when this session becomes stale and changes it to Error status. You can manually request specific Agents to clean stale sessions in Operator Navigator or Topology Navigator.
To clean stale sessions manually:
Do one of the following:
From the Operator Navigator toolbar menu, select Clean Stale Sessions.
In Topology Navigator, from the Physical Architecture accordion, select an Agent, right-click and select Clean Stale Sessions.
The Clean Stale Sessions Dialog opens
In the Clean Stale Sessions Dialog specify the criteria for cleaning stale sessions:
From the list, select the Agents that will clean their stale sessions.
Select Clean all Agents if you want all Agents to clean their stale sessions.
From the list, select the Work Repositories you want to clean.
Select Clean all Work Repositories if you want to clean stale sessions in all Work Repositories.
Click Clean to start the cleaning process. -
great Problemes after installing Yosemite (10.10.2 ) with Photoshop CS6....The program crashes --last time 10 times during my work session..wacomtable doesnt work..it is slow...and get error messages about the graphic card....It s a Terror to work with my beloved Photoshop!
The Yosemite upgrade very often damages existing Photoshop installations. Thank Apple for that.
You need to uninstall and re-install Photoshop, then apply all the Photoshop upgrades from scratch.
But first, give us details about your setup:
BOILERPLATE TEXT:
Note that this is boilerplate text.
If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand,
such as your platform (Mac or Win),
exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop (not just "CS6", but something like CS6v.13.0.6) and of Bridge,
your settings in Photoshop > Preference > Performance
the type of file you were working on,
machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, total available HD space, video card specs, including total VRAM installed,
what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far,
what error message(s) you receive,
if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them,
if you're having printing issues, indicate the exact make and model of your printer, paper size, image dimensions in pixels (so many pixels wide by so many pixels high). if going through a RIP, specify that too.
A screen shot of your settings or of the image could be very helpful too,

We installed a new Server 2008 R2 server this spring. It is configured as a Terminal Server with 16 Wyse t10 thin clients connecting with RDP. We are a small resort so we run Springer Miller Host and SpaSoft. Ever since moving from PCs to the thin clients
and TS we have been seeing SpaSoft randomly crash with KERNELBASE.dll errors and also a lot of c0000005 and c0000006 errors. Springer Miller support says its a Microsoft Networking issue so no help there. The company we worked with to install this has no clue
so I hope to reach out to this community to solve this. I can also open support case with Microsoft Support but I am not sure if they will be of any help. Here are some examples of the errors:

There are no network specific errors in any of the logs. I am thinking that SpaSoft needs to be run as an administrator but I am not sure how to do that in this environment. We have disabled DEP for all but essential Windows processes. All of the firewall
and AV has been completely disabled, and still getting these errors. Is there a way to run these applications as admin without the user actually being an admin? Should I go ahead and open a Microsoft support case? ThanksHi,
Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.

GET_BLOB_FILE_SRC not working with Zero Session ID
I have an application where I use the zero session ID for public users. The problem is, I have a region that contains a report linking to PDF files contained in a BLOB and I use GET_BLOB_FILE_SRC to link to the PDFs. I've included the report in my global content (page 0) and want it to be available to all visitors. The problem is, it only works when a user has authenticated. It throws a PAGE NOT FOUND error for public users. Does anyone know a way around this?

Difference between connection, session and process
Hi all,
Can anyone please update me on the difference between connection,session and process.
Thanks in advance,
- SriI got this useful note by googled in net. It describes session,connection,process gracefully.
A connection is a physical circuit between you and the database.A connection
might be one of many types -- most popular begin DEDICATED server and SHARED
server. Zero, one or more sessions may be established over a given connection
to the database as show above with sqlplus. A process will be used by a session
to execute statements. Sometimes there is a one to one relationship between
CONNECTION->SESSION->PROCESS (eg: a normal dedicated server connection).
Sometimes there is a one to many from connection to sessions (eg: like
autotrace, one connection, two sessions, one process). A process does not have
to be dedicated to a specific connection or session however, for example when
using shared server (MTS), your SESSION will grab a process from a pool of
processes in order to execute a statement. When the call is over, that process
is released back to the pool of processes. -
Report in new page does not know of session and presentation variables
I have a question about GOURL.
I am using GOURL as a column function in one report (report A), so that when i click on that column it takes me to another report(report B) that open in new popup window.
the first report (A) also uses some session and presentation variables, which is also used by Report B as filters. I am curious that if I add these filters which are using variables to report B, why can't report B get the value of these, (it just errors out ) because it didn't found any value to those variables in the filter.
Becuase I am ending up with passing all these variables in GOURL and setting them as 'isprompted'.
Does this report (B) knows nothing else than what it finds in GOURL?
thanksIn a nutshell, if u use gourl then its parameters will be only using in navigated report. This is functionality

SAP BO XI3.1
last time I face this one but suddenly disappear during testing, now we once again face this issue. As all users are member of group 'EveryOne' if we add any user membership to administrator group / master group this error resolved for this user.but that is not proper solutions, so far i m unable to find the rights which is lacking to all user for these report which are available in each user infoview and causing these errors while viewing.
Open Document error message:

If the problem is fixed when the user who is viweing is an administrator, this means there is insufficient privileges for the other users. -
Couldn't export schema because of invalid argument value and other errors.
Hello, All.
I am using an oracle 10g database, which is running on a Redhat9 linux server, to manage our lab information.
I plan to export a schema (only tables, not the real data) into a file.
First, I used the Enterprise Manager to export. I went through and complete the export job. After submitting, the system says:
There is a problem writing to the export files: ORA-39094: Parallel execution not supported in this database edition..
So I just copy the PL/SQL code which would be send to the source database and comment the set_parallel procedure.
The code is listed here:
declare
h1 NUMBER;
begin
begin
h1 := dbms_datapump.open (operation => 'EXPORT', job_mode => 'SCHEMA', job_name => 'EXPORT000468', version => 'COMPATIBLE');
end;
--begin
--dbms_datapump.set_parallel(handle => h1, degree => 1);
--end;
begin
dbms_datapump.add_file(handle => h1, filename => 'EXPDAT.LOG', directory => 'DATA_FILE_DIR', filetype => 3);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parameter(handle => h1, name => 'KEEP_MASTER', value => 0);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.metadata_filter(handle => h1, name => 'SCHEMA_EXPR', value => 'IN(''FLOWLIMS'')');
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parameter(handle => h1, name => 'ESTIMATE', value => 'BLOCKS');
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.add_file(handle => h1, filename => 'EXPDAT%U.DMP', directory => 'DATA_FILE_DIR', filetype => 1);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parameter(handle => h1, name => 'INCLUDE_METADATA', value => 1);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.data_filter(handle => h1, name => 'INCLUDE_ROWS', value => 0);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parameter(handle => h1, name => 'DATA_ACCESS_METHOD', value => 'AUTOMATIC');
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.start_job(handle => h1, skip_current => 0, abort_step => 0);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.detach(handle => h1);
end;
end;
I paste the code in an SQL*Plus session and execute it. The system says:
declare
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-39001: invalid argument value
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SYS_ERROR", line 79
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DATAPUMP", line 2486
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DATAPUMP", line 2718
ORA-06512: at line 23
I am not very sure which part is wrong for I have exported another schema successfully using this method just now.
Any advice is highly appreciated!
QianWell, I will list more details about how to complete the job here.
1) Go to the Enterprise Manager, log in as FLOWLIMS (I just want to export the schema FLOWLIMS)
2)Go to the "Maitenance"
3)Under the "Utilities", select the "Export to files"
4)in the next page: Export: Export Type, select "Schemas"
5) in the next page, select the schema "FLOWLIMS"
6) in the next page, select these parameters:
Maximam Number of Threads in Export job: 1
Estimate Disk Space: Blockes
7) when I click the "Estimate Disk Space Now", it says :
Export Estimate Failed
There is a problem writing to the export files: ORA-39094: Parallel execution not supported in this database edition..
8) So I give up extimating
9) Other options:
I select "Generate Log file"
The Directory Object is the default value "DATA_FILE_DIR"
The Log File is the default value "EXPDAT.LOG"
10) the advanced options are like these:
Content: What to export from the Source Database: "Metadata only"
Export content: "include all objects"
Flashback: select "As the specified System Change Number (SCN)
SCN: just accept the default number 28901412
Query: select nothing. I need all fields of all tables.
11) in the next page, I accept the default directory object "DATA_FILE_DIR" and the default File Name "EXPDAT%U.DMP". The Maximam File Size is blank, I just leave it blank.
12) in the next page "Schedule" , I select to start the job immediatly.
13) in the next page "Review", it shows:
Export Type Schemas
Statistics type Estimate optimizer statistics when data is imported
Parallelism 1
Files to Export DATA_FILE_DIR EXPDAT%U.DMP
Log File DATA_FILE_DIR EXPDAT.LOG
and the PL/SQL is like that:
declare
h1 NUMBER;
begin
begin
h1 := dbms_datapump.open (operation => 'EXPORT', job_mode => 'SCHEMA', job_name => 'EXPORT000487', version => 'COMPATIBLE');
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parallel(handle => h1, degree => 1);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.add_file(handle => h1, filename => 'EXPDAT.LOG', directory => 'DATA_FILE_DIR', filetype => 3);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parameter(handle => h1, name => 'KEEP_MASTER', value => 0);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.metadata_filter(handle => h1, name => 'SCHEMA_EXPR', value => 'IN(''FLOWLIMS'')');
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parameter(handle => h1, name => 'ESTIMATE', value => 'BLOCKS');
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.add_file(handle => h1, filename => 'EXPDAT%U.DMP', directory => 'DATA_FILE_DIR', filetype => 1);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parameter(handle => h1, name => 'INCLUDE_METADATA', value => 1);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.data_filter(handle => h1, name => 'INCLUDE_ROWS', value => 0);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.set_parameter(handle => h1, name => 'DATA_ACCESS_METHOD', value => 'AUTOMATIC');
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.start_job(handle => h1, skip_current => 0, abort_step => 0);
end;
begin
dbms_datapump.detach(handle => h1);
end;
end;
14) after I click the "submit" , it shows:
Export Submit Failed
There is a problem writing to the export files: ORA-39094: Parallel execution not supported in this database edition..
15) I copy the PL/SQL, comment this part:
--begin
--dbms_datapump.set_parallel(handle => h1, degree => 1);
--end;
I run it in an iSQL*Plus Release 10.1.0.2,
It shows:
declare
ERROR at line 1:

Could anybody help? Thanks a lot!

Hi
I am confused about what I have to do to initiate the zero session ID mode.
I wish to invoke this so that I can better track the usage of my application public pages via google analytics. But every page still shows and records the actual session ID.
The manual says that the zero sessionID mode kicks off when a user clicks a link having a zero session ID. But my application uses Tabs for navigation which don't give me the opportunity to set zero for the ID; I presume they use &SESSION. syntax.
My application starts by being invoked with a URL link from another non-apex application which contains a hard coded '0' (zero) in the session ID parameter location.
My application does branch from page to page in response to user activity, but not as the direct result of button clicks. My branching uses zero IDs, and also checksums for most pages to prevent URL tampering.
Do I need to abandon tabs and use buttons instead to force the user to click on a link containing a zero session ID parameter to get this working?
I would appreciate any advice on this.

Oracle portal session and pl/sql
Hi all i use portal v.10.1.2.2.0 and i would like to play with a session variable. all i do is
grant execute on wwsto_api_session to myportal from portal schema. and then i want to do
l_store := portal.wwsto_api_session.load_session (p_domain, p_sub_domain);
l_store.set_attribute ('myname', 'name');
l_store.save_session;
1) i do not know what is the p_domain, p_sub_domain
2) when i do wwsto_api_session.get_sub_domain and wwsto_api_session.get_domain i get an error.
How can i read and write to a variable session in oracle portal? to to like java set session and get session?
Thank you in Advance,

How can i read and write to a variable session in oracle portal? to to like java set session and get session?Hi,
You may want to see the wwsto_api_session here in [Portal APIs|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/html/plsqldoc/pldoc1012/index.html].
"Working with the session object
The general procedure for working with the session object is:
1. Load the session object, with an appropriate domain and sub-domain combination, using the load_session method.
2. Manipulate the content of the object using the set_attribute methods, or just access its content using the get_attribute methods.
3. Force these changes to be saved, using the save_session method.
Typically this sequence occurs within the scope of one client routine that extracts and/or sets all of the client states. For example:
declare
l_store portal30.wwsto_api_session;
l_date date;
begin
l_store := portal30.wwsto_api_session.load_session ('PORTAL', 'TEST');
l_store.set_attribute ('LAST_ACCESSED', sysdate);
l_store.set_attribute ('USERNAME', 'SMITH');
l_store.set_attribute ('COUNRTY_CODE', 1);
l_store.set_attribute ('LOCATION', 'US');
l_store.set_attribute ('LAST_LOGGED_ON', sysdate);
l_store.set_attribute_as_string
('OFFICE_LOCATION', 'CALIFORNIA', 'US', 'STRING');
l_store.save_session;
end;
The login session that creates the session storage object is defined by wwctx_api.get_sessionid. "
ref: wwsto_api_session for Portal 10.1.2
then, look for the functions for getting attributes as number, varchar2, string or index, etc. in the above link.
hope that helps!

ISE v1.2 - Endpoint abandoned EAP session and started new
Hi.
I have lots of clients that are not able to log on to both wired and wireless networks, and they always fails with these errors.
5411 Supplicant stopped responding to ISE
5440 Endpoint abandoned EAP session and started new
This is with certificate authentication, both for client and for machine.
The clients are for the most part Windows 7.
We use both Cisco and Aerohive for wireless, and the switch I have tested with is a Cisco2960S
A few strange things:
It works perfectly for a lot of clients too, with the excact same configuration.
One PC I'm testing with works fine when authenticating via wireless, but when I plug it into the switch, I get these errors.
I seems to be a timeout of some kind, either to short or too long, but where?
In the Win7 supplicant?
In the switch?
In the Cisco WLC
or in the Aerohive AP?
I have spent hours and hours on this problem, but I can't make it go away, it is very exhausting.
There surely must have been others with the same problem?
Thank you.Thank for trying to help out, but this is.. insanely vague.
How can i verify that NAS (the C2960S) is properly configured?
What timers are we talking about here? There are many to choose from..
The problem is still here, even with the latest patch 7 for ISE 1.2. It works fine on wireless, but not with wired, from the same computer. So it is logic to assume it has something to do with the switch.
This is the configuration from the switch:
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/20
switchport mode access
authentication event fail action next-method
authentication open
authentication order dot1x mab
authentication port-control auto
snmp trap mac-notification change added

end
