CS is working fine, but i don't understand the session ID problem.
Then i try to use ssl with CS-6, but it don't work.
SSL handshake work fine (=> certificates are correct), user can log in, but the session die. It is thick with garbage (random characters). I don't understand what happens, but here is snapshot: http://bug.sch.bme.hu/error.bmp
And i see the following log on my terminal
Assertion failure: source UTF-8 string is exhausted in XSLString.cpp.
Then i set
service.http.ssl.port.enable = "yes", becouse i want to use SSL only. I restart CS, but it bind to port 80 too. Why? How can i turn off HTTP?
Best regards
Robert

I just copied the conf from SUN manual and then it worked fine - I just have a problem on timeouts (that I posted right now..) I'm pasting here my ssl conf - maybe it could help.
(the http is still running to me also - so I moved it to a non stansard port)

  • Calendar Server 6.0 2004Q2 and Sun One Synchronization 1.1

    Hello,
    we have a problem with Calendar Server 6.0 2004Q2 and Sun One Synchronization running with a Palm. The connection from the sync tool to calendar server works, but we cannot select one calendar of the user. With Calendar Server 6 2003Q4 ist worked well. Is there something changed in wcap in the new version? Does anybody know how to solve that problem?
    Yours,
    Angela

    Hello,
    I confirm that I have the same problem with that version (CS 6.0 2004Q2). I cannot select any calendar and It looks like only the default calendar is synchronized. It used to work with the previous version, though.
    We have an application that uses WCAP commands. It works perfectly with both versions.

  • Calendar Server attachment space requirements and/or quotas?

    We're preparing to upgrade/migrate from Calendar 5.1.1 to Calendar 6.3, and the attachment feature has started to make me nervous, because I can see some of our users potentially over-using this particular feature. So, the first question would be what kind of space requirements are recommended for calendar attachments. Basically, I'd like to get a feel for how much users at other sites actually use attachments, to see what kind of space we should have available for them.
    The second question is whether or not there is a quota mechanism for calendar attachments, to keep users from going overboard, or at least forcing them to periodically clean house.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Kurt

    I have all of my calendar 6.3 data components on separate ZFS file systems in a Zpool.
    Separating them out is pretty much what I've done, so that if one gets extraordinarily full, it won't impact the rest while we add some space.
    I have around 6500 calendars with a 500 MB main database with ~700,000 entries. Attachments store
    is not using much, but mostly because users probably haven't noticed they can do it in UWC I suspect. Most
    of the users who do do it would be users that use Outlook connector.We have about 67000 calendars (a mix of users, courses & resources) with the csdb dir taking up about 3GB. I imagine initial usage of attachments will be relatively low, but I have this nagging fear that people will be scheduling the next meeting of their student organization, and have the bright idea of attaching a 3GB DVD image of video from their last get-together. ;)
    Thanks,

  • Zero Session and bet_blob_file_src error

    My application has several public pages that include links to PDF files stored in my database. The links are generated by a call to APEX_UTIL.GET_BLOB_FILE_SRC, which is wrapped by APEX_UTIL.PREPARE_URL. I am using the 0 session ID for these public pages and all works as expected until a user clicks on one of the PDF links, then the server returns "HTTP Status 500 - System Unavailable". However, if the user first authenticates and then clicks on the link, the PDF is displayed as expected. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is there something I'm missing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

  • SQL SERVER SECURITY Update KB2977321 and KB2716436 Error Code 1642

    I had gone through some of the related question that has been shared over here but since for me there was a definite Error Pop up stating
    SQL SERVER SET UP FAILER "NT Service Unable to start MSSQLSERVER" but i noticed that after each of the update the version had changed and the database is running normally, just want to confirm if the updates are working fine or some
    other measures has to be taken.
    I Ran the discovery report and it shows the latest version
    Can i take this as a successfull installation and no issues will occur?
    Please suggest.

    I have pulled this from the Setup Bootstrap log. IN the Administrative log in the event viewer there is nothing helpful.

  • Upgraded to 10.4 - Session and Backup Errors

    Hello All,
    I just upgraded to 10.4 and now my IPhone 4 is having issues syncing.  First it was stuck in a verify mode.  Then the backup would not work.  I deleted all of my backups and tried again.  I either get a message saying that a backup could not be saved on this computer or a session could not be started.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rob

    All Set!  I had to uninstall every thing apple on my computer includeing the hardware drivers.  Once I reinstalled 10.4, Bonjour, etc and plugged in my phone it reinstalled the drivers and all was fine.  The problem was also happening on my IPad and IPod so I know that it was not my phone causing the problem.

    Well, it is definitely a file system issue but of course it won't be an nfs issue if you have a local mount point. I resolved this issue in UNIX by unmounting the file system is question.
    I didn't realize how important the . and .. directories are to SAP executables.
    In my /usr/sap/<SID> path, only "." showed up in when using the ls -l command with the <sid>adm user.
    As root though, the "." and ".." paths were listed.
    After unmounting the file system I saw that the path was owned by roo.system.
    Changed the file system ownership to <sid>adm:sapsys with full permissions(probably not needed).
    All is well... took quite a while to find this... then of course, found OSS note 1917102 which pointed to OSS note 130683 (which had my solution. note title is misleading and I overlooked it at first.)
    Hope this saves someone valuable time.

  • I am upgrading to Calendar Server 4.0 on NT with more than 9 nodes (or I already have) and my server won't start

    I am upgrading to Calendar Server 4.0 on NT with more than 9 nodes
    (or I already have) and my server won't start.
    <P>
    The steps are the same whether you have already upgraded or are about to.
    <P>
    Calendar Server 4.0 on the Windows NT platform can only support up to nine
    nodes on one server, while 3.51 supported up to 14. If you have a Calendar
    Server 3.51 with more than 9 nodes that you want to upgrade to Calendar Server
    4.0, Netscape recommends that you migrate the extra nodes to another Calendar
    Server 3.51 on another Windows NT system. To accomplish this:
    <OL>
    <LI>Install Calendar Server on another Windows NT machine and configure it to
    use the same directory server as your current Calendar Server.
    <LI>Stop and backup your current Calendar Server.
    <LI>Individually zip up the node directories you want to move to the new
    server. (drive:\unsers\unison\db\Nx
    where "x" is the number of the node you want to use.)
    <LI>Stop the new Calendar Server.
    <LI>Unzip the files into the new Calendar Server in the same place as they
    were on the old server.
    <LI>Edit the unison.ini
    file on the new server to add the nodes you have just migrated.
    <LI>Edit the unison.ini
    file on the old server to remove the nodes you have moved to the new server.
    <LI>Edit the nodes.ini
    file on the old server to remove the nodes you just moved and then add them
    with the new hostname. Keep in mind that you will only be able to modify the
    node network from the old host.
    <LI>Run unidbfix -export
    on both servers for all nodes.
    <LI>Edit the remotenodes.ini
    file on both servers to reflect your node topology.
    <LI>Run unidbfix -import
    to import the changes into the node databases.
    <LI>Run unidbfix -c,
    then -f,
    then -c
    again on both servers for all the nodes.
    <LI>If you don't get any errors, run uninode -test all
    to test if your nodes connections are set properly. If they are not, <B>do not</B>
    start either of the servers; instead, fix the errors and try again.
    <LI>Start both servers.
    <LI>Log in and check to see if you can see people on remote nodes.
    <LI>Notify the users on the moved nodes of their new calendar host.
    <LI>If you did this in preparation of an upgrade, you can now run the upgrade to
    4.0 since both servers contain fewer than 9 nodes.
    </OL>

    Use Disk Utility whihc is in the Utilities Folder.
    Select your Boot Disk on the left.
    Select Verify Permissions
    If any errors the do Reapir permissions.
    You might have to repeat the process.

  • Convergence and Calendar Server 6.3

    Good Morning,
    We are in the process of looking at upgrading to Convergence 2.0. We are still running Calendar Server 6.3. From looking at the wiki page: https://wikis.oracle.com/display/CommSuite/Convergence+Patches+by+Release
    It appears that I can install Convergence 2 Patch 2 and still be compatible with Calendar Server 6.3. Is that correct?
    We need to get upgraded so that we have the support for newer versions of IE and to get our customization done before looking to upgrade to Calendar Server 7.
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Yes, Calendar 6.3 (patch -44 or higher) is compatible with Convergence 2.

  • Can JES Calender Server be managed by JES Console/Admin Server?

    Is it possible to use the JES Console/Admin server to manage the
    JES Calendar Server, and if so - what is the setup required?
    I already have JES DS and Admin/Console Server for it installed.
    The JES Calendar Server wants to install in a <prefix>/opt/SUNWics5 directory.

    Hi,
    Could you let me know if tunneling is enabled or disabled from the admin console?
    Bu default it will be disabled.
    Can you try to enable it and let me know the result?

  • Why does calendar server have an inbox?

    It has inbox, dropbox, notifications, outbox. Just wondering if inbox and outbox were for email or just calendaring. I'm trying to figure out what email server most of you use with your calendar server.

    The CalDAV protocol supported by the calendar server using the Inbox and Outbox resources to do scheduling operations. That feature is only used when you setup a CalDAv account in iCal (or other scheduling capable CalDAV clients).
    There is no tie in with an email server - you are free to use whatever email infrastructure you like.

  • Problem logging into iPlanet Calendar Server from pull-down menu in Communicator

    I can also access the LDAP service of the Calendar Server with no problem.
    However, if I try to connect to this server using the pull-down menu for
    Netscape Communicator 4.7 with Calendar, I receive the error message<BR>
    <P>
    The server is unreachable. Verify that the network is available and that the
    server application is running.
    <P>
    To use the iPlanet Calendar Server client, point your browser at the client
    port that was specified when the iPlanet Calendar Server was installed.
    <P>
    For example,<BR>
    <P>
    http://your_server_name:80
    <P>
    If you forgot which client port is specified, you can find the value for the
    port number in the service.http.port
    parameter in the server's
    /opt/SUNWicsrv/cal/bin/config/server.conf
    file.

    So if you accepted the defaults during the installation process who are the database users? ias_admin? system? sys? I've tried all and gotten ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied. These fail in the OEM console as well. I apologize in advance if the answer is embarassingly obvious.

  • Messaging Server and Calendar Server Mount points for SAN

    Hi! Jay,
    We are planning to configure "JES 05Q4" Messaging and Calendar Servers on 2 v490 Servers running Solaris 9.0, Sun Cluster, Sun Volume Manager and UFS. The Servers will be connected to the SAN (EMC Symmetrix) for storage.
    I have the following questions:
    1. What are the SAN mount points to be setup for Messaging Server?
    I was planning to have the following on SAN:
    - /opt/SUNWmsgsr
    - /var/opt/SUNWmsgsr
    - Sun Cluster (Global Devices)
    Are there any other mount points that needs to be on SAN for Messaging to be configured on Sun Cluster?
    2. What are the SAN mount points to be setup for Calendar Server?
    I was planning to have the following on SAN:
    - /opt/SUNWics5
    - /var/opt/SUNWics5
    - /etc/opt/SUNWics5
    3. What are the SAN mount points to be setup for Web Server (v 6.0) for Delegated Admin 1.2?
    - /opt/ES60 (Planned location for Web Server)
    Delegated Admin will be installed under /opt/ES60/ida12
    Directory server will be on its own cluster. Are there any other storage needs to be considered?
    Also, Is there a good document that walks through step-by-step on how to install Messaging, Calendar and Web Server on 2 node Sun Cluster.
    The installation document doesn't do a good job or atleast I am seeing a lot of gaps.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    There are basically two choices..
    a) Have local binaries in cluster nodes (e.g 2 nodes) ... which means there will be two sets of binaries, one on each node in your case.
    Then when you configure the software ..you will have to point the data directory to a cluster filesystem which may not be neccasarily global. But this filsystem should be mountable on both nodes.
    The advantage of this method is that ... during patching and similar system maintenance activities....the downtime is minimum...
    The disadvantage is that you have to maintain two sets of binaries ..i.e patch twice.
    The suggested filesystems can be e.g.
    /opt for local binaries
    /SJE/SUNWmsgr for data (used during configure option)
    This will mean installing the binaries twice...
    b) Having a single copy of binaries on clustered filesystem....
    This was the norm in iMS5.2 era ...and Sun would recommend this...though I have seen type a) also for iMs 5.2
    This means there should no configuration files in local fs. Everything related to iPlanet on clustered filesystem.
    I have not come accross type b) post SUNONE i.e 6.x .....it seems 6.x has to keep some files on the local filesystem anyway..so b) is either not possible or needs some special configuration
    so may be you should try a) ...
    The Sequence would be ..
    After the cluster framework is ready:
    1) Insall the binaries on both side
    2 ) Install agent on one side
    3) switch the filesytem resource on any node
    4) Configure the software with the clustered FS
    5) Switch the filesystem resource on the other node and useconfig of first node.
    Cheers--

  • Notification Problem on: Calendar Server 6.0 and IMServer 6.1

    Hello everybody,
    I have a very confusing problem with the Instant Messenger notification feauture for the Sun ONE Calendar server. I have set up both servers and the jms can communicate with ens and the other way round. But if a event occours I get the following Message in the /var/opt/SUNWiim/default/log/server.log file:
    [19/Mar/2004:15:35:00 +0100] WARNING: CalendarReminder: User [email protected] Does not exist. (xxx is username and domainname)
    But now its getting confusing, if I send myself an Alert message over the IMS client applet I can see the following Message:
    [19/Mar/2004:17:53:00 +0100] DEBUG: [Realm] getUser: [email protected]
    [19/Mar/2004:17:53:00 +0100] DEBUG: [Realm] found user in cache: [email protected]
    [19/Mar/2004:17:53:00 +0100] DEBUG: Sending Alert/Invite
    Any ideas what I could have done wrong?
    Many thanks in advance
    Stefan Peinkofer

    I have the same problem... any forward in Struts after a call to WebLogic 8 session EJB will give me the same AccessControlException in HttpRequestFacade.getHttpRequestBase.
    It seems that after WebLogic EJBs is called, the security policy gets all mixed up. You can fix this by granting in code the correct policy just before the forward... but this is a workaround not a fix (and a potential security hole).
                Policy.setPolicy(
                    new Policy() {
                        public PermissionCollection getPermissions(CodeSource cs) {
                            Permissions perms = new Permissions();
                            perms.add(new AllPermission());
                            return(perms);
                        public void refresh() {
                return actionMapping.findForward("success");
