Zero Stock levels

Hi
I'm looking to generate a report that counts the number of days an item is at zero stock within each warehouse, over a specified time.
I've tried various ways yet seem to fail to get a concise report.  Would anybody be able to help?

Hi Gordon
Thank you for your response, and that query worked as expected once I realised that the Warehouse variable needed to be %1.
If you could help me a little further then that would be most kind?
I've amended the code to bring item descriptions (as below), but I really would like to go further.
1.
It would be important for me to select a date range, from and to, and the query to show the number of days out of stock.  Would it be  easier for the report to show in columns the stock level each day, and so I could see a pattern of gap periods?  Either that or a count of zero stock days over a given period.
2.
I would also need to filter the results by certain item properties (Qrygroup), or am I asking too much!
Anyways this is where I got to:
Select T0.ItemCode, T0.[Dscription], sum(T0.InQty - T0.OutQty) as "Qty In/Out"
from dbo.OINM T0
Where T0.DocDate <= '[%0]' and T0.InQty != T0.OutQty and t0.Warehouse LIKE '%[%1]%'
Group by T0.[Dscription], T0.ItemCode Having sum(T0.InQty) = sum(T0.OutQty)
Order by T0.ItemCode
Many thanks
Andy

  • Change stock level to zero

    Hello to all,
I wanted to change stock level in SAP to 0.  This is for test purposes and replication of issue that I have.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.
    Regards.

    Hi,
    Identify a cost centre.
    1. Create a reservation using MB21 with 201 mvt type and the identified cost centre with quanity equal to the stock availability
    2. Create a MB1A ( Goods issue ) with respect to the reservation and note down the material document number.
    3. Test your scenario ( as the stock will be zero )
    4. Once the test is over, go to MIGO and select cancellation with material document number option and give the document number noted down in step 2 and check and post the transaction.

  • Items with  zero stock quantity show negative stock value in Stock reports

When running Stock reports for controlling the stock value towards the GL accounts, some items appear with zero stock quantity, but the report still shows a stock value  (negative value in my case)
How can this happen, and how can I correct this situation ?
System parameters are :   negative stock is not allowed, Items with zero cost price not allowed. On item level average cost price method is used.

    Hi Johnsen,
I believe you have checked the" Manage Inventory by warehouse". I have noticed this issue in SAP B1 2005B but this is rectified in 2007B. The system behaves in this way as the system maintains item cost for the item for all warehouses and even if the stock is not present in the warehouse, the system would still show you a value for the same. Hope this helps. please search the forum. You'll find related threads.
    Thanks,

  • Positive Value with Zero Stock

    hi Experts
I noticed while doing a stock audit report that I had a positive value of £35.00 for a item code where the stock level was zero.   How can I get the amount down to zero too?  Stock Revaluation won't work because there is no stock and any in/out stock transaction simply result in outstanding amount of £35.00.
We are using FIFO for value .   I would also be interested to know how I can query other items with this issue?
    thanks

    Hi Goeff.......
If the stock of the item is zero and still it shows the item cost then this means nothing.
It does not affect anything in system.
The moment you book GRN the purchase value will be overrite on it. It only shows for display as last price......
You can try a purchase in demo DB and then run the Audit report you can find the difference.......

  • Report  from system on different stock levels-min, max stock levels

    hI gURUS,
Is there any Standard Report  from  SAP system to see on different stock levels-minIMUM stock, maximum stock levels

    Hi,
MMBE will not give stock level min and max  that is maintained in material master MRP view. I think you need to make a z report for th same or may be through query.

  • Stock transfer with zero stock

    Hi all,
Stock tranfer is happening with zero stock.
Is there any way to avoid this ?
    Thanks
    Jeyakanthan

    Hi Jeyakanthan,
If  you have already selected 'Block below negative quantity', please check Item Master Data ->Stock Tab: checkbox for
'Manage Stock by Warehouse' is ticked or not.
With it ticked, the system considers the stock in each warehouse and none of the warehouses can go into negative stock for this item.
If this box is not ticked, the system calculates the overall stock availability and e.g. if you do a stock transfer for an item from  warehouse A to warehouse B, you will never go into negative stock in an overall view for this particular item although it is negative in warehouse A.
To sum up, you need to check the box "Manage Inventory by Warehouse" in the "Item Master Data"  and at the same time "Block below negative quantity" checkbox in the Document Settings in order to block negative quantity by warehouse.
I hope this answers your question.

  • Restrict PO  based on the maximum stock level qty in MMR

    Hi
We have maintained Maximum Stock level in MRP1 in Material Master. Is there any facility which can restrict the Purchaser, not to raise any PO more than maximum stock level qty which is maintained in Material Master ??? how to do ?
Is there any user exit or warning mesge settings?
Edited by: Jayakumar Raju A.S on Jan 13, 2010 8:55 AM

If you want do such check then you have to do that in a userexit.
I am personally the opinion that a purchaser does not extend the PO quantity just for fun. Maybe he gets a better price if he procures a little more. It is probably a lack of training and knowledge about each others work, that a buyer does not understand what the maximum stock level is , and the planner may not understand the particular issues a buyer deals with daily.
Bring those two together an let they explain each other the reason for the maximum stock level and the reason why the  order quantities are changed.  Maybe they will finally change the maximum stock level, maybe the buyer will not change the quantities anmore without discussing it first with the planner......

  • Customer consignment stock- REPORTING stock level & goods depatched

    Hi all
I'm looking for a report (or reports) which shows the following (bare in mind that this will all be customer consignment stock):
    - the delivery numbers
    - the previous month's stock level
    - the quantity of goods despatched the following month with a rolling calculation
    - monthly invoice values
    - remaining stock levels (after current months goods have been issued and invoiced)
I'm aware that MMBE/ MB58 shows the current stock levels, however I'm hoping there is a report in SE16 which shows it as a report structure.
I understand that this is a lot of info requested by myself however any information would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    / Vicky

    Dear tortyv,
As per my understanding of the requirement,
You please check the "VL06" report if it satisfies your requirement you enter the execution parameters and execute.
System will give the list of out bound deliveries. Select one of those and click the details icon (ctrlshiftf3) according to the item view or headder view.
If it does't suit you have to go for z report.
I f you want that please provide the input fields in order to fetch the required data for the report.
    Thanks&Regards

    Folks,
I am not a MM guy and I am trying to increase the stock levels in a plant using a Goods issue.

    2.     What are the relevant movement types when GI is made w/o reference to a Purchase Order?
    3.     Can GI be made with reference to any other entity/object other than PO?
    Thanks

    1. Can I do the Goods Issues without reference to a Purchase Order? If so, how can I do this
No u can't ..u have to do Goods receipt for a PO
Raise a PO for the same material and do GR
    2. What are the relevant movement types when GI is made w/o reference to a Purchase Order?
u cant do GI for PO
    3. Can GI be made with reference to any other entity/object other than PO?

  • Max stock level and reorder point for all the materials

    Dear experts,
Is there any standard mm report that will give the details of max stock level and reorder point details for all the materials?
    Thanks in advance,

Your requirement can be pulled from table MARC. I dont think there is a standard report to meet your requirement. You can meet your requirement through SAP Query though.

  • Zero stock check

    Hi All
    Please find my requirement below:
I have created a program to confirm the TO. For this I'm calling L_TO_CONFIRM FM to confirm TO. But my client asks to perform Zero Stock Check, as in LT12, in my program befor TO confirm. Please tell me how to do this?
And, the condition for this is I need to check if the Bin doesn't have any more quantities. For this, I'm asked to activate this check when the TO quantity and BIN quantity is equal. Please tell me how to check this as well with Technical field names.
    Thanks in advance.
    Skysen

    Hi,
you can get list of all quants for selected material with BAPI BAPI_WHSE_STOCK_GET_LIST. BAPI BAPI_WHSE_STOCK_GET_DETAIL will give you an information about quant. You should be able to do zero stock check from data retrieved by these two BAPIs. Another way is to debug LT12 to figure out how SAP does zero stock check.
    Cheers

  • Zero Stock Check Issue

Bins are getting blocked for putaway due to Zero Stock Check.
We have configured the system to do zero stock check. However, this blocks the bin for stock placement & removal till the TO is confirmed.
There could be a significant time lag between the TO creation and confirmation.
While the Bin is blocked for putaway , the receiving dock cannot putaway goods to the bin.
This is creating issues with the inventory movements around the WH.
    Any ideas ?

    Hi,
In your storage type customization, the option 'Block upon stock plcmt' would have been set to 1, which blocks entire bin against goods movements. try set it to 2, it should work.
