ZHRMD_A Custome message type issue with custom segments.

Hi Experts,
We have implemented ALE in HR system, we have all other ALE using HRMD_A and we have jobs scheduled for HRMD_A message type. We dont want this job should trigger our model and distribute the data. So we have reduced the HRMD_A messae type to ZHRMD_A for basic type HRMD_A06. Every thing fine. After upgrade of SAP FROM ECC6.O to EHP4, PFAL is not creating IDOC segements for custom segments Z*. for example Z1P0002....ETC, though there is personal data for PERNR.
Please guid if you have come across such situation and solution.
Thanks & Regards.
Venkat.

Hi Venkat,
In the same way i too have one situation like...have different model view with same message types( and same extension type) for various countries from one sender system.
Should i create reduced message type for each model view?
Or can i use same message type HRMD_A for various model views?
If i can use same message type and same extension type for various model views is there any restriction we need to write in USER EXIT  EXIT_SAPLRHA0_004?

Lava.

  • Problem to create change pointer for custom message type - Idoc creation

    Hi,
We want to create IDOC and send it out when the data of "planning calendar" changes. So we are trying to generate change pointers whenever entries in Table T439I (Planniing calendar) data change.
We created a message type, activated change pointers generally and maintained change relevant fields for message type (not sure if this step is done correctly). But not getting any change pointer in table BDCP2 when I create a new planning calendar in MD25.
    Can anybody help / guide?

    Thanks once again,
I had linked idoc type and message type in we82. Now after i activate the change pointers. I try to generate the IDOC type using BD21. It gives me the error message :<b> "Message type ZP2PPROJ_MSG cannot be sent with change pointers"</b>
whereas in my segments i am using all the master data only (i.e. PRPS, PROJ,PRHI). Please throw some light on this.
Also please clarify, do i need to make an entry of this custome message type in the partner profile ?

Can anybody guide me as to what are the step to be followed after i create the custom message type and how to register the fields of the message type ?

my problem is in inbound . i created one function module idoc_input_zmsg. In test tool for idoc processing ie. TCODE WE19, i clicked my segment and then i clicked the inbound function module button . In function module text box my own function module idoc_input_zmsg is available. but when i click ok button, i am getting the following error.
"INTERFACE FOR FUNCTION IDOC_INPUT_ZMSG IS INCORRECT".
PLS HELP ME . THANKS IN ADVANCE.

All the IDOC processings FMs should have similar interface like this.

  • Custom Java Type persistence with JDO

    Hello,
I have a question regarding KodoJDO.
We have a class called "CBOCountry", CBOCountry is a type that has some
    behaviors.
Each CBOCountry has only one field, an integer.
We have a class called Person, this class must be persisted in the DB !
Also, Person has a file of type CBOCountry, so, we need to persist in the
DB the integer field of the CBOCountry.
It is possible with JDO ?
You can call me at +352 295665 280
(Can you also send me a list of prices for KodoJDO ?)
    Thanks
    Demez Christophe

    Christophe,
Ah! It seems to be that I recall some discussion of serialization on
this list and if I recall right, it is possible to serialize an object
as a field, but then you would lose the ability to query on those
fields, I'm pretty sure. What you want is CBOCountryValue to be a
second class object stored in PERSONX table.
So let's see what the others have to say.

    Thanks David, but ...
I have 2 tables and only one table is usefull.
In fact, what I need is a table PERSONX with a field CBOCOUNTRYVALUE !
In our object model, every field is a specific class ( a CBO), and we do
not want to create a table by field or even by kind of field.
Thanks , I appreciate your answer

    Christophe,
The short answer is yes. Both Person and CBOCountry would be
enhanced to PersistenceCapable objects with entries in the XML metadata
(package.jdo) and either entries in the database or in system.prefs.
When the schematool is run you end up with a PERSONX table in the DB and
a CBOCOUNTRYX table in the database. The names can be tweaked if
necessary. Each table will have a column for each persistent field in
the corresponding object. Which fields are persistent and which are not
are identified by defaults and by the XML metadata.

  • Assigning filter criteria for custom message type.

    Hi everyone,
In our requirement i have created a custom message type ZDEBMAS like debmas. now while creating a distribution model with this message type, i need to create a filter for this.
only IDOCs of customers with Account group 0001, 0002 and 0012 has to be triggered. I'm able to create the filter with message type DEBMAS, but while i'm using message type ZDEBMAS i'm unable to create any filter. Can any help me in this.
    thanks in advance,
    Rajni

    Hi!
Do you create filter with BD95 and  allocation with BD59 transactions?

  • Distribution model. Create filters for custom message type.

    Hello,
I have created a model view, and added a new message type (copy of HRMD_A). I want to add filters, but the system does not allow it. Do you know if I can only add filters to a standard message type, and not to a custom one?
    Thank you,
    Elena.

Thanks for your answer, but I think I didn't explain my question well.
I have created a message type ZHRMD_A, and a basic type ZHRMD_A07 (both copies of HRMD_A and HRMD_A07)
I am creating the distribution model, in transaction BD64.
       I created the model view.
       I inserted my messsage type.
Now I want to add filters to the message type in the distribution model. When I add a standard message type, I can see under the message type the text 'No filter set'. Then I double click this text, and I can add filters. When I add the custom message type, I don't see this text, and I have no option to add filters. That's why I think I cannot add filters to a custom message type.

  • Issues with Custom Chart

    Hi,
I am facing some issues with custom charts.
    1. X Axis value is getting cut off. Given date as x axis parameter and last 2 digits of date is getting cut off. (format like 19-Apr-2011T00:00:00). And this value cut of happening only for custom chart.
    2. On right click of the custom chart, when i am selecting Preview, it opens a new pop up window with and error as Error: "Application error occurred during the request processing.". No preview is being generated.
    3. In Server Scaling, i checked Use global auto scaling, and many times it is showing improper y axis or mutiple y axis values with the same value or it is displaying improper global range
    kindly help
    Regards
    Muzammil

    Muzammil,
Without seeing your data and your chart configuration, it is difficult to understand exactly the issues you are encountering.  I have the same JRE and the same version and build of MII as you.  I have no difficulty with the scaling or with Global Range, but problems displaying the date in my tests.
I would suggest the you enter a ticket into the SAP Support System, and enclose a  copy of your data (run the query, use Browser with Content Type = text/xml) and export a copy of you display template.
Lastly, what type of query are you using - sql, tag?
    Kind Regards,
    Diana Hoppe

  • Tcode to send custom data using custom message type in ALE

I have ceated custom message type and i want to send data to say system B.I wanted to know Tcode to send custom data using custom message type in ALE.
      for example:
    material data...message type = matmas....tcode = BD10.
    like this.
i hope you have got my question.
    plz guide me?

    Hi,
Sending data through ALE is not a single-step process. Take a look at http://www.sapgenie.com/ale/. The paper at http://www.sapgenie.com/sapgenie/docs/ale_whitepaper.doc is a wonderful resource for the ALE process.

  • Idoc serialization for custom message types

    Hello,
We have a scenario where we need to serialize outbound messages where the message types are both custom and SAP standard. Can we serialize custom message types and how?

    Hi,
you need to create a serialization group (in customizing) and assign all the IDocs (in specific order) to this group incl. your custom IDoc.
When data is transfered first a SERDAT01 IDoc will be sent, after this your IDocs have to follow in specific order. At last again a SERDAT01 follows and triggers the processing in the destination system.

  • Issues with Custom Settings

Is anyone else having issues with custom settings on 10.8.2?
I am trying to configure basic office 2011 settings based on the keys located at http://afp548.com/mediawiki/index.php/Office_2011_Settings using a device group.
However, when I log into an authenticated user's machine and load pref setter I can see that the customizations are not found on the newly managed machine.  I know the push updates are working, but for custom settings I seem to be getting nothing.
    My questions:
    - Am I just flat our doing it wrong? (meaing, should the plist files be copied over)
    - Are there common issues to look out for?
    - Can anyone share basic custom settings they have that work?
    Thanks!

Thats a bad idea. Office dos not react well to having it's prefences copied from one machine.
    Check out: http://www.officeformachelp.com/office/administration/mcx/
It's a good guide for MS Office prefs.

  • Message Type - STTPOD with Process Code as - OPOD

    Dear All,
I am using Standard Message Type - STTPOD with Process Code as - OPOD and Basic Type as - DELVRY03
I am creating a New "Z" Segment Copy of "E1EDL20"
I want to Add in one FIELD
EKPO - ELIKZ which is Delivery Complete INDICATOR
How can i fetch data when the IDOC is generated and to take the value from this FIELD.
Is there any Userexit or BADI
This we are doing so as we can pass message to SNC for GR Done and Completed
    Regards
    Amey Kulkarni

    Hi Amey,
As you are using Standard Message Type - STTPOD with Process Code as - OPOD and Basic Type as - DELVRY03
There is no need create Z-field or any implementation of Userexit or BADI for GR updation in SNC.
In SNC for updating PO GR status you need to maintain below validation settings:
    TCode:SPRO>Supply Network Collaboration>Basic Settings>Validation>Own Settings-->Maintain Settings in Validation Profiles
    Validation profile=POC1
    Validation check=PO_OPENQUAN_FROM_ASNGRQUAN
    Check status=Inactive
    Validation profile=POC1
    Validation check=PO_OPENQUAN_FROM_ASNQUAN Inactive
    Check status=Inactive
    Validation profile=POC1
    Validation check=PO_OPENQUAN_FROM_POGRQUAN
    Check status=Active
    save the setting.

  • When do we ceate custom messagae type apart for custom idocs type

    Hi all.
Can u pls let me know when do we create custom message type in ALE/IDOCS. what I know is we can create a custom message when we create custom idoc type & when we have reduced idoc type.Pls let me what are other cases in which I need to create a custom message type. Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,
    sami.

I think these are the only cases where we need to create. Its basically when we dont have standard SAP message type available.

  • Idoc ORDERS05 with Custom Message Type

We want to use a Z message type for idoc type ORDERS05 to be able to separate a particular group of partners from other partners using ORDERS/ORDERS05.
The goal with our Z message type is to use the standard function IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS. The only problem I see is that this function checks the message type in form READ_SERVICE_PACKAGE. It would ignore this code since my message type is a Z and it's checking for message type ORDERS.
I was thinking of using a Z wrap-around function to perform the same code in form READ_SERVICE_PACKAGE if the message type is my Z message type.
I want to avoid creating a Z copy of IDOC_OUTPUT_ORDERS and all if the includes!!!
    Any suggestions?

    Hello Bruce,
The function module is associated with the process code.
Why do you need a new message type?
    Regards,
    Samir.

  • Calc manager: @RETURN function with WARNING as message type issue

    Hi Gurus,
I m working in version 11.1.2.2 in IE 9. I have created a simple calculation script as below to test the @Return essbase function.
    function
    FIX ( .....)
    "502100"(
    IF( ("YearTotal" > 50000))
    @RETURN("True:test message" , WARNING);
    ELSE
    @RETURN("False:test message" , WARNING);
    ENDIF
This script validates fine , however when executed on Save of Data Form gives a Job console error with no error code but message as below
Invalid network data. Type is matched but length is zero. An application protocol error might exist between server and client processes..
The same script executed using error message type as *"ERROR"* executes successfuly on save of data form and gives exepected custom error message.
I read a thread in forum saying the @Return function works only with ERROR as message type for vesrion 11.1.2.1
How to use Essbase @RETURN function to displayed messages in 11.1.2.1
I have tried using WARNING and INFO , both doesnt seem to work even in 11.1.2.2, Only ERROR as message type works.
Has anyone experienced the same with version 11.1.2.2 as well? Is this still a bug?
Please let me know your inputs.
    Thanks
