Add new WFE and a bit more

My organization had a farm with 3 servers; WFE, APP server and a separate SQL server. English basic installation and language pack installed. 
The July 2014 CU got installed – (there shouldn't be any language pack July CU available nor needed)
The WFE server made a lot of hassle/issues/trouble – e.g. the .WSP deployments didn't provision to the WFE, and in the CA the health analyzer reported that the WFE didn't respond in 2 hours, it stated upgrade required, (got rid of that
by upgrading the contentDB) – but a lot of issues.
So in an attempt to solve all the issues – the WFE got removed from the farm by running the PSconfig on the WFE and removed it afterwards in the “Servers in farm” in CA.
Then re-joining the WFE to the Farm all the features etc. etc. got provisioned to the farm – but not possible to start/allocate any services to the WFE – it just got stuck on “Starting” – then tried to stop a service on the WFE and that
was stuck on “Stopping”. 
Restarting the Timer service, the admin service etc. etc… didn't change anything – still stuck.   
So now the WFE have been removed from the Farm again, and now all the end users and all search, SP services currently running on the APP server. (heavy load)
Building a brand new WFE with the
exact same build of SharePoint, including service packs and cumulative updates, but do I need to know anything specific in order to join this server in the correct way in order to let that act as (new) WFE?

 it seems like “easy peasy”....
Do I need to be aware of anything special?
Do I need a “to-do” ordered list - in getting the WFE joining the Farm? (first do X, then do Y, then do Z) 
is anything else needed in order to be able to start services on the new WFE after it’s joined and without getting the stuck on “Starting”? 
In the CA - What should I see under the “System settings” -> “Farm solutions”? on the specific .WSP
e.g.
Solution intranetfeatures.wsp successfully deployed to the: APPserver name Solution intranetfeatures.wsp successfully copied to the: WFE website intranetportal   
5) Or what states it has provisioned correctly to the new WFE?  
6) the previously removed server (the one that caused the mentioned issues)  - can I in any way let that one re-join and give it some kind of role in the Farm - maybe it could act as an Search server or another role (I now it’s though
when it’s not possible to start any services)?  
A lot of questions – but someone must have the “golden approach” or “heads-up” so the WFE successfully can join the farm and unload some of the services from the APP server - so I can be a Happy farmer again...:)

When you join a SharePoint server to the farm, the Foundation Web service is automatically started. You should see the Web Application's IIS Sites and Application Pool(s) provisioned correctly on the new farm member.
You should see farm solutions deployed to the new host as well, given the new host is running the appropriate service that the solution was targeted for (most are set to target a Web Application, so the files should be present, if applicable, on the new
host).
You would want to see why services are failing to start. That certainly doesn't sound right. Obviously check the ULS log on that local server, change the log verbosity up to Verbose if needed, etc.
Adding a WFE is "nothing special", to be honest.

    Hi,
    First upload the file into an internal table. If you are using a file that is on application server. Use open dataset and close dataset.
    Then :
    Loop at it.
    *insert or modify as per your requirement.

  • How can I add new songs and videos...?

    How can I add new songs and videos to my ipod without syncing as it wants to wipe out the ipod and replace all the existing media?

    On the ipod itself?  If so how?
    I've tried checking on box by the sync music to deselect "Entire music library", but get the  message about "Are sure.... All existing content on the iPod will be removed and replaced...".  However, I don't want to do that as there is music on my ipod I don't want to loose, got it from a previous computer that crashed and could not be recovered.

    While Adding new Entity, "Add New Instance" and "Remove New Instance" buttons will be displayed.
    I don't want to display "Add New Instance" and "Remove New Instance" because by default i have created instances. I am able to disable it but i don't want to display at all.

    Hi Sri and Patrick,
    There's no out-of-the-box configuration to hide the Add/Remove Instance buttons from entity collect screens in Web Determinations. However, this requirement can be achieved through Custom Properties. This requires a technical person to create the custom property, which the rulie then attaches to the Rule Project. The technical person also needs to modify the velocity template which renders the entity collect screens so that it will remove the Add/Remove buttons on any entity collect control where the custom property is set to True.
    I can't advise on exactly how to write the custom property or edit the velocity template (I'm a functional expert, not a programmer), but the OPA Developer Help should have guidance. Try searching on ‘custom property’. From the rulie perspective, have a look at this article for how to attach a custom property to the project and to the particular screen control:

    How did the photos/albums get onto the phone ?
    Only photos taken with the iPhone or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the phone - either via the trashcan icon at the bottom right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it top right in thumbnail view. Albums that you've created directly on the phone can be deleted via the Edit button at the top right of the album selection screen.
    Photos/albums that were synced from your computer are deleted by moving/removing/de-selecting them from where they were synced from on your computer and then re-syncing

    i created a multiprovider on a cube and ODS. Now i needed one more charactersitic from other cube.then i did change multiprovider and then add that new cube and did the identification, and adjusted the query, when i ran the query it is showing chracteristic as #  and not assigned. I even tried bringing in 0infoprovider object to see whether data is coming from third infoprovider, it is not showing up any data from third one. i tried logging out of bex and logging back in.....but still no use..............i am wondering now, once a multiprovider is created can new infoprovider be added to it ?
    i am even able to see the new key figures and chracteristic in my query.but data  is not getting populated...i also checked and found that the data is available in the infoproviders....
    plz help me out..

    nice to see your answer, I saw a lot of helpful posts on SDN by you.
    I did the RSRT with debug multiprovider, it said,
    0FISCPER: General restriction for InfoProvider ZSD_C12 not possible
    Access to ZSD_C12 was excluded
    now i corrected it, it is populating the key figure now but not the chracteristic still.....the chracteristic is still getting value only from one of the info providers
    importantly, when i bring infoprovider above the keyfigures space on query, it still only shows two info providers for each key figure and  not the third one ,the key figure coming the third one is only shown in overall result. how can i solve this?
    i tried  rsr_gen_direct_all_queries as told by krian, but still cant get the data in the report. i did list cube on mulitiprovider and i see the data for that chracteristic there....
    are there any other options in RSRT to find possible setting faults....

  • 11.1.2 - Workforce and CAPEX issue - Add New Hires and Add New Asset Rules

    Hi All,
    We are working on Oracle Fusion 11.1.2 and are using the out of box functionality for Workforce and CAPEX.
    We are facing a weird issue in case of the above Modules when we try to Add a new Hire or a new Asset in the respective modules using the Add TBH Hourly , Add TBH Salary and Add Asset rules.
    The Issue is sometimes the correct number of New Hires or Assets is added as specified in the prompt. For instance, if specify Number of New Hires as 5, then 5 rows of TBH are added on the web form dynamically with other employee properties populated on the form as mentioned in the prompt. However, at times this does not happen, so if I specify 5, 4 rows are added, if I specify 15, 7 rows are added and so on.
    The out of box rule looks okay, we are not sure why this should happen?
    Has anyone of you faced a similar issue, It would be really helpful if you can share your thoughts.

    Have you try to check the related Business Rule? In older version Add TBH menu related to a Business Rule. Never configure this module on 11.1.2 but maybe the add tbh menu related to a Business Rule or Script on Calculation Manger

  • BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE add new line and conditions with a condition value

    I am using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE to add new lines to a credit memo. All works fine except that I can not seem to put a condition value on the new lines. The condition is created but with a value of 0. I can popluate the condition amount field, KBETR but not KWERT. BAPICONDX seems to only have the COND_VALUE field in it and not CONDVALUE as in BAPICOND. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? In the code below I just want to change the material on the first line of the credit memo and not add the condition. Then add new lines with the the condition.

  • Master Data Services - Can not add new User and MDS can not Identify LOCAL Users

    We are using  SQL Server 2008 R2 and system working since long and suddenly we observed mentioned two issues. The server MyServer is already restarted but did not help.  The MDS installed and configured on SAME Machine (MyServer).
      I  have two issues here.
    1. MDM website can not Identify the local Users (MyServer\MyUser).
    The User created on local Machine (MyServer\MyUser). I logged into MDM website using Admin login and click on User and Permission. Then I click on add and Text box appears to type UserName. Here I type "MyServer\MyUser" (MyServer\MyUser is already
    exists and working since long). Then click checkName; I received a message "No exact Match was found for MyServer\MyUser". Where as User from OTHER domain identified in MDM but could not identify ONLY the local users like "MyServer\MyUser".
    2. Can not add new user in Existing working MDM.
    I created windows user on machine (MyServer\MyUser1) and add it in UserGroup having an access to MDM. and then I tried to login to MDM using newly created user (MyServer\MyUser1) ; I see error Access Is Denied. The Permission assigned to UserGroup (not
    to individual user). The new User (MyUser1) should automatically get added in MDM once logged in. This is working for existing users in UserGroup; BUT NOT ONLY for new user (MyUser1).

    Now I Solved this problem in my case.
    I just grant again all permissions according http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff486994.aspx. Now all work fine.
