Alignment in SIM forms

Can any one please let me know the options for moving four fields with values populated on them towards the right for proper alignment.

Have you tried the "align" property?
Something like:
<Field name="example">
  <Display class="Text">
    <Property name="align" value="right"/>
  </Display>
</Field>

  • Vertical alignment in text form

    Been trying set vertical alignment so that text will align with the top of the form box, and having a frustrating result. It will only align if the box is one line only.
    A multi-line box will not expand vertically to accomodate long text; an expanded (vertically) box will result in text beginning below top alignment. Anyone working on a fix for this? It seems to be a new problem, as I have used this feature with in the past with old versions of Acrobat.

    If I understand your issue correctly, you can achieve this by playing witht the Left and Right values under Layout tab of the object properties.
    Let me know if this is not what youare looking for..

  • Font & box alignment issues in form building

    Hi There,
    I am trying to update our application page however I did not orginally build the page and I have very little experience with forms.
    What I need help with is:
    1) How can I increase the font size for all field names thoughout the form e.g. First Name, Middle Name etc, House #, Suburb/State, Current Employer etc etc ?
    2) Some fields display out of line with one another e.g. 'Martial Status' and '# of Dependents', 'Years' and 'Months'. These fields line up fine in DW but obviously do not display correctly - how can I fix this?
    These issues appear to be only happening in IE - I currently use IE8 and I only assume the issues will be the same in previous versions, if not worse.
    The link for the form is: http://www.lombardfinance.com.au/dev/card_newsite.html
    If someone can help me that would be much appreciated!!
    Thanks!

    1) How can I increase the font size for all field names thoughout the form e.g. First Name, Middle Name etc, House #, Suburb/State, Current Employer etc etc ?
    Why do you have a tag around each <label> tag's contents?
    <label for="firstName">Applicant 1<br />First Name:*</label>
    Removing that would help make the label contents larger, and it could be that this would be all you need.
    With regard to the layout question, I'd like to see you fix these validation errors before tackling that.  I feel it's wasted effort to try to troubleshoot layout issues on a page with invalid HTML....

  • Object alignment when creating form

    I'm creating my first form.  It's rather long and has many checkbox options.  I have two problems with this.  First, the distance between selections seems set, so making a series of choices on the same line can't be done.  For example, on the MS Word document I have choices for Marital Status: Married    Single    Separated    Divorced    Widowed, etc.....  Can't seem to get the items close enough.  Secondly, if I attempt to shorten the label portion of a checkbox it realigns everything above it.  Please help!

    This is a new report created from scratch. I have tried building it bit by bit and it seems that in the form letter layout, it likes it and will save up to a certain amount of text but when I go over that amount (which I need to do), I'm getting this error.
    Any ideas?

  • How to align footer in Adobe form

    Hi experts,
        I required your urgent help for my development. I made a adobe form for customer ledger. Form is divided in 3 parts as shown in below image:
    Header sub form will print on each page if form is more than one page. Then Body will grow to multiple page according data. Next is footer, it will print on last page (either last page is 1st or 4th page) positioned bottom. The problem is that in some situation. Like it prints Header, then prints body sub-form for open item. It grow according data. suppose that open item end on second page then footer should be placed on second page at bottom aligned. Footer sub-form is 2 inches( or 10-12 rows) in height. It should be checked that after end of body subform how much space is available. if there enough space for footer to be print then footer will print on same page other wise it will create one more page, at top of that page will print header sub-form and then at bottom aligned footer sub-form (there would be blank space between header and footer).
      How to do that. Your help would be appreciate.
    Please reply asap.
    Thanks and Regards
    Piyush Kumar

    Hello Experts,
    I am describing it little more.
    Table will auto increas row depending on data. We can not fix it's row. Second thing if table have only 2 records then footer will place just below table end. It will not align footer at bottom Margin.So there would be space between Footer and bottom margin.
          I have to do that it first get how much space is available after table (body subform), if there is 10-12 lines space available then it will print the footer. If there is no much space then it will create one more page and at that page header (sub-form) would be align at top margin and footer (subform) would be align at bottom margin. There would not be any blank table.
    condition:1
    Header Subform                                                                   |
                                                                                              |
    Table subform                                                                      |
                                                                                              |
    Footer at same page align bottom margin (if enough space)     |
    ===================================================
    Condition : 2
    Header Subform                                                                   |
                                                                                              |
    Table subform                                                                     |
                                                                                              |
    if no enough space for footer then  go to additional next page  |
    and create page like below:                                                 |
    ___________________________________________________|
    Header Subform                                          |
                                                                     |
    space                                                        |
    space                                                        |
                                                                     |
    Footer Subform (align at bottom margin)       |

  • Pre-populate the process form as part of Role Alignment - Need suggestion

    Hi,
    As part of implementation we are going to take over the Provisioning of AD (Via Groups-->Access Policy) using OIM which was initially configured to provision manually. Now as part of migration we required to assign a base group to the users who has already AD reconciled resource (and align it with policy via SQL updates -->POL_key is process form, OIU_POLICY_BASED in OIU table). We are doing this as part of direct SQL updates. The other part of the requirement to align the process form values using the configured pre-populate adapters (for e.g. if the current value of any attribute is X and the prepopulate adapter suggest that it should be Y then the migration should also update this attribute.) We tried to use the prepopulateProcessForm API of tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf but it seems this is working only when the System Validation is in Pending state. The other option we are thinking of putting java code and then call the prepopulate adapter by passing each input params and updating tha value via API if any update is required. Just wondering if there is anything else we can use as part of bext practices. If anyone has done this kind of implemntation please let us know your inputs. Thanks

    Hero,
    You want to ...
    1. create users
    2. give them privileges
    3. assign them to groups
    4. assign a default groups to users
    You will need to do this in the following sequence of steps...
    1. Populate the user entries in OID, and assign the default group
    2. Create the groups in OID and assign the users to them
    3. Assign the appropriate portal privileges to the groups
    For step 1 and 2, I'll have to refer you to the OID Administrator's Guide for Release 9.0.2.
    This document contains a lot of good information, but in particular, you'll want to review Appendix I ...
    "Migrating User Data from Application-Specific Repositories". This addresses the LDIF migration tool
    and describes the schema elements needed for the IAS user accounts.
    For step 3, the easiest way would be to assign the privileges to the groups through the user interface. Once the groups are defined
    in OID, you can select them via the Portal UI to assign the portal privileges to them.
    The proper place to locate portal instance-specific groups is under the portal instance group base, which is
    cn=portal_groups, cn=groups, <subscriber_base>. The following white paper
    may be helpful to understand the organization of the directory information tree.

  • How to handle Exception in Forms??

    Hi,
    We have a customer facing application...self-service kinda things actually with self registration, forgot password/ username and edit profile. We are using SIM forms for all of these. Now as per requirement we need to call some web services as backend validation in the forms. we want that if any exception is generated while calling these web services or general exceptions that SIM thrown (like xpress exception etc..) ....the user should redirected to other page containg some custom message because actual exception message is completely useless for user. i tried to use try/catch in jsp and other fundas of exception handling in java but nothing works. If anyone has any suggestion or any prior experience please share. Any pointer will be helpful.
    We are using SIM-SPE 7.1 . if someone has experience about exception handling in SPE it will be great otherwise SIM forms exception handling will also work. we can corellate the things in SPE!!!
    Thanks in advance!

    Bhavna,
    create a when-custom-item-event handler on the Forms Bean Container
    example:
    DECLARE
         eventName varchar2(30) := :system.custom_item_event;
         eventValues ParamList;
         eventValueType number;
         tempString varchar2(100);
    BEGIN
    IF (eventName=BEAN_ERROR_EVENT') THEN eventValues := get_parameter_list(:system.custom_item_event_parameters);
                   get_parameter_attr(eventValues,'ERROR_MESSAGE',eventValueType, tempString);          MsgBox.Show(MsgBox.STOP_ALERT,tempString);
    END IF;
    END;
    This looks for an event named BEAN_ERROR_EVENT and there for a message ERROR_MESSAGE.
    In the Bean add the following code:
    public static final ID pErrorMessage = ID.registerProperty("ERROR_MESSAGE");
    public static final ID eErrorEvent = ID.registerProperty("BEAN_ERROR_EVENT");
    private void dispatchErrors(String message)
    log(message);
    try{
    CustomEvent ce = new CustomEvent(m_handler, eErrorEvent);
    m_handler.setProperty(pRwAuthMessage,pErrorMessage);
    dispatchCustomEvent(ce);
    catch (Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    To handle Bean errors:
    try{
    catch (Exception e){
    dispatchErrors(e.getMessage());
    finally {
    This know publishes the error message to Forms where you can handle it the way you want.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply swaminathan. I did swu_obuf. No result.
    Also i found there is nothing in workflow container in the log. But I passed some static data's to the container using binding.
    WF container                    Task container
    Zform_1                             Form_scenario
    Here the zform_1 passed to task container using binding.
    But in log there is no data in task container. What could be the issue?
    Also this is the new server and this is the first workflow. I configured SWU3 and I developped one test workflow(User decision and Mail step) and its working fine.
    Any configuration issue?
    Thanks.

  • Scanned documents do not print out correctly on forms.

    I scanned a pdf file to my computer.  I opened the pdf file on my computer using Adobe Reader.  I printed the file using my printer.  The pdf file did not print out correctly.  The printed text was out of alignment with the form I was printing on.  The printer/scanner manufacturer troubleshot the problem and determined it is not a hardware issue, but an Adobe Reader software issue.  Please help.  Thank you.

    Yes, the scanned PDF size is the same as the paper size in my printer.  Everything worked fine for the past year.  The only thing I had changed was I purchased a new wireless HP printer/scanner.  Before, I was using an USB cable.  While troubleshooting my issues, I have somehow caused Adobe Reader X to quit working.  I cannot open any PDF files.  I get a message about system configuration is not compatiable.

    </form>
    If you want to view the Personnel List click here<br>
    Go to index
    </body>
    </html>

    A JSP should not be involved in this. The browser will offer a way to specify a file, and the target of the form should be a servlet that can handle multipart uploads. JSPs should not process any input.

  • Desperate for help: ADDT registration form

    New to ADTT and back again with another, more urgent problem.
    I have used ADDT to create a registration page, using UPDATE instead of INSERT (this is necessary because the users are already in our system as contacts).  To accomplish this I had to do some hand coding and I fear I may have gone awry.  Initially I kept getting a blank page with the message "error: internal server" message when the page loaded...currently I get "Fatal error: Call to a member function addField() on a non-object in /home/agciorg/public_html/events/2009/259/users_Registration.php on line 33."  Now I can no longer open the registration page in Dreamweaver -- freezes DW everytime.  So I'm trying to edit in Text Edit to get it back to a functioning page.  I've already rebuilt the page from scratch twice trying to get things to work and I'm on a major time crunch and just can't afford to do it again.  Below is the current code (I've also attached the php file as a .txt)...any help in resolving my issue would be much, MUCH appreciated!

    <!-----------------end registration form----------------->

    Actually if you do not need a public registration form, its much more practical to use the "Create Dynamic List" and "Create Dynamic Form" behaviors in your site administration back end. And it really only takes about two minutes to set up.
    This will give you the ability to add, delete and edit all your users.
