App Store - App available in Portugal's App Store only - Can't buy it
I have recently purchased the Wall Climbing car iW500 iSpace from Weccan on a Chinese website. The package arrived today and I can't get the app on the App Store.
I live in Brazil and up until today I have been using the U.S. iTunes Store. Brazil's iTunes Store has just been created.
After I Googled the app online, I found a link to the iTunes App Store in Portugal, but iTunes says I can't use my Apple ID to get it because I'm only supposed to buy stuff in Brazil's store.
Can someone help me out?
It's supposed to be a X-mas present for my 6-year-old son.

You credit or debit card credentials must be associated with same country where you purchase iTunes media.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location. You can use the iTunes Store in all countries of which you’re a resident, but you’ll either need a separate iTunes Store account for each one, or you’ll need to continually be switching the billing information on your single account. I forgot the password in restrictions that I created so my daughter coundlt buy any in-app purchases. Now we can't buy any videos until I alter that restriction. Is there anyway to reset that or findout what the password was?

No iTunes content on the iPhone is included with the iPhone's backup.
If you are syncing music and video - you have Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, after purchasing any music direct with your iPhone the music should be copied to your iTunes library automatically the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so. Under Store in the iTunes source list, a playlist should be created automatically as well with the name - Purchases On - the name of your iPhone.
Not so if you are manually managing music and video with your iPhone. When manually managing music and video with your iPhone, it is manual all the way in both directions. After purchasing music direct with your iPhone, with your iPhone connected at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone. -
App not available in the Greek App Store
I just got a monopoly zapped edition that requires the corresponding app for my iPad. The app is not available in the Greek App Store. What can I do? Did I just wasted my money?
You will not be able to buy an App if it available in the App Store of another country unless you have a billing address and a bank card/credit card issued in that country.

The info I've found on iCloud backup of apps, says only the "purchase history" is backed up (not purchased apps themselves).
Previously purchased apps aren't available for restore if the store no longer lists the app. This makes iCloud pretty useless (IMHO)
as a "backup", since at any time you can lose your "backup", and become totally vulnerable to loss, if the app is discontinued in the store
(no longer available). This means that (in order to have a reliable backup) I must BACKUP BY HAND EVERY SINGLE APP (TO ITUNES)!
This makes iCloud "backup" pretty meaningless (except maybe as a slight convenience for apps that are still available - admittedly most,
but your favorite app may "disappear from the store" at any time).
Am I correct in my understanding? Is backing up to my iTunes app library the only reliable alternative?
NOTE TO APPLE: why can't you archive apps that have EVER been listed on the store, so app purchases can
be restored easily, even when the store no longer carries them?
Thanks!Thanks for the clarification. I sort of understood how to do that. My complaint is that HAVING to do that makes iCloud pretty meaningless. Even worse is the possibility that users will RELY ON ICLOUD, and perhaps find someday that they can't get an app restored from iCloud because it's no longer in the store.
If you work for Apple, could you please pass along my suggestion to enable iCloud to restore previous purchases even when they are no longer available on the store -- this doesn't seem that difficult, and it would make the iCloud app backup a lot more meaningful (IMHO). Thanks! -
Just been told when the CS6 apps will be available
Just been on to an Adobe representative via chat and she's told me the CS6 apps will be available mid May.
At least I can relax checking my computer's cloud area for any apps now! Can't wait to get my hands on Illustrator personally, been using the Photoshop Beta for weeks now... awsome!Sad the thing shows it only comes with an almost useless 16gb internal storage and they call it "Developer Edition" has to be a joke! The i phone is limited to nine app screen i notice this when i try to move on to a tenth screen and it would not let me and also when you download a app after all 9 screen are full the app dose not show up but the app store says it is installed apple needs to expand the amount of screen allowed. you then end up having to delete 2 apps download 1 app in able to make the invisible app appear you have to try this one out for your self so you get a better idea of what i mean so it looks like we are limited to 144 apps per iPhone subtract 14 apps that come default on the screen not including the 4 that are on the bar below you are left with 130 apps that can be downloaded and use at a time per i phone that ***** there are over 6,200 apps available in the app store as i type this to you and apple is limiting me to only carry 130 at a time there is somthing worng with this and i think somthing should be done!
No acutally what that means is most people like myself have to install 30 apps just to get the iphone to do half the things it should have done out of the box. Sure some are wants but most are "need" in order for it to do the things my old palm treo 600 could do, and still there's not copy and past and no video. On top of that they have a stupid 130 limit. I'd love to hear why that is.

I am extremely upset. I purchased my iPad in SA and now I am in Greece. I cannot download free apps as I get a message that the apps are not available in the SA store and only in US stores. When I change to the US store the same thing happens. What is the point of having an iPad if I cannot use it worldwide??? I feel that I wasted my money purchasing it as I specifically purchased it to use when I travel. How can I get access to all the available apps and why are they restricted.
You can use your iPad worldwide. However, each AppleID is tied to
a specific country's store. To use the AppStore in any country, you
must be in that country and have a credit/debit card issued by a financial
institution in that country with a verified billing address in that country.
It is the developer's choice which AppStores he makes his app available
from, and some countries prohibit certain apps.
To make a purchase from the US store (including downloading a free app
available in the US store), you must be in the US and have card issued
in the US with verified billing address in the US.
You can use your purchases from the SA store worldwide, but you
cannot make purchases in other than the SA store unless you meet
the aforesaid conditions. -
I signed up for my apple account while living in Canada, and now I lives in the US. I am looking for a specific app that apparently is only available through the US app store. How can I change my account to the US Apple Store?
As long as you have a form of payment (credit or debit card) with a USA source, and with a billing address in the USA, then you just need to change your payment information on your account to that, change your country in the store settings, and you will then be able to shop in the USA store.
Your AppleID will work in any country's store, as long as your payment source and billing addres are also specific to that country (and you are in that country as well, as there may be IP filters in place to stop use outside of the country). -
Is there a simple search function available in the revised App Store?
I cannot seem to find a way to conduct a simple search of the millions of Apps in the newest version of the App Store in IOS 6? The older version had the Categories option with a search window included. The new version is far less flexible and causes a user to painfully conduct manual searches with out getting to the desired available apps quickly. If you do not know the exact app you want you are forced to do these manual searches which frankly caused me to give up after 30 minutes of trying to find a simple print app.
I have the same problem. You no longer have a widely comprehensive search, and iBooks search has the same issue. If you search for example, for "Sherlock Holmes," you used to get every Sherlock Holmes title. Now you only get titles with "Sherlock Holmes" in the actual title. You do not get "A Study in Scarlet" (the very first Sherlock Holmes novel).
So far, iTunes in my Mac allow comprehensive searches in both categories, but it has taken a lot of joy out of using iPad for me. I would look for cool new apps and titles when I had a few moments, but now I only look when I have something specific in mind because I can't really do it with iPad. -
