Bank Reconcilliation Report in Foreign Currency

Hi,
We are on SAP B1 8.8 PL4.
Please advise on how to get/print the bank reconciliation report in foreign currency.
The current report (Reports-Banking-External Reconcilliation-Bank Reconcilliation report) only allows printing of the report in the local currency.
Kind Regards,
Asif

Hi Asif,
In the latest B1 version, you can have External Reconciliation By Summary (FC). Check if you have the same option. If not, you need to create your own or upgrade to the latest version.
Thanks,
Gordon

  • Report for foreign currency revaluation - FAGL_FC_VAL

    Hello Experts,
I have executed FAL_FC_VAL - Foreign Currency Revaluation Program. System posted some accounting entry for the same. However, I want to know how system calculated and for which invoices it calculated.
For this I want a report from SAP, for foreign currency revaluation. Please let me know the TCode for the report.
I can see some output on screen, showing calculation, during test run. But it does not get saved anywhere.
    Please help

    Hello Ms Meena,
You can achieve to have this if you are in ECC 6.0 by activating the Logs to be stored.
This can be done via FAGL_FC_VAL & go to the last tab as below.
Precondition : Make sure before user run the revaluation they click on both tick mark.
    Click on Logs
give the date when they it is run & execute
    Select the log
Here you can select your fields like vendor name/customer name/GL account Name.
I would strongly suggest to create a variant by yourself & save & then ask the user to change the date to revaluation everymonth.
    Many thanks

  • Transactions in local currency and report in Foreign currencies

    Hi All,
Can anybody help me out to find the solution for my issue. The issue is, all the transactions are entered in Inr Currency and the report in FBL5N, FBL3N and FBL1N is to be taken out in USD Currency.
Please help me to sort out this issue.

    Hi,
Add additional filed in FBL5N, FBL3N & FBL1N structure and write logic to get values.
Simply multiply document currency into exchange rate as on posting date of that document. You  will get exchange rate from table TCURR.
To add addition field go through following documents.

  • Foreign currency report

    hi friends
our client is indian . have more than 20 compnay codes under one client each company code maintain the inr .he want foreign currency reports . how to conver form inr to foreign currency reports(usd, euro)
pls explain with settings very urgent
    regards
    shiva

    Hello
When you post a document in foreign currency, the system stores the amount in both local currency and foreign currency in each line item. The system checks whether the currency key has been defined and is therefore permitted.
Foreign currencies are needed, for example,
To post and save receivables and payables in foreign currency
For handling payment transactions in foreign currency
Managing accounts in foreign currency (foreign currency balance sheet accounts)
Carrying out the consolidation and reporting for groups.
In the line items, all amounts are saved in both currencies. These include the posting amount, tax amount, and cash discount amount.
    Prerequisites
You have made the following specifications in the Implementation Guide under Global Settings:
    Currency key for each currency
Number of decimal places (if you do not require the usual two decimal places)
    Local currency per company code
Exchange rate between local and foreign currency
In the master records for the G/L accounts, you have to define the currencies you can use to post to that account.
If exchange rate differences arise during clearing or valuating of items or accounts in foreign currency, the system generates postings. To enable the system to do this, you must have defined G/L accounts and posting keys.
    Activities
To specify the foreign currency for your document, enter the appropriate currency key in the Currency field in the document header. There are several ways to enter an exchange rate:
    · Enter a posting date and the currency key in the document header. The system automatically transfers the exchange rate valid on the posting date. Exchange rates are defined in the system.
    · You can also enter the exchange rate directly in the document header via the currency key and exchange rate fields.
    · Enter a translation date in the document header. The system then automatically takes the exchange rate valid on this translation date.
The valid exchange rate is the one entered on the posting date or on the translation date, or the rate entered at an earlier time. For example, if you post a document on August 25, but the last exchange rate in the system setting is from August 22, the system uses the exchange rate from the entry on August 22.
You can enter the amount in each line item in both local and foreign currency.
You can enter documents in any foreign currency for which a currency key is defined in the system. If you manage a G/L account, for example a bank account, in a foreign currency, you can only post documents to this G/L account in the account currency, that is, the foreign currency.

  • How to find transactions in a Foreign Currency

How can we find all the transactions posted in a Foreign Currency? Is there a specific report for that purpose in SAP?

    Hi Pete,
I dont think there is any specific report for Foreign Currency Transaction. You can use the Dynamic Selection with Document Currency as the selection field where you fill the Foreign Currencies you are using in the company. Else You can select the Document Currency field from the Change Layout and filter the document list with the forrency currencies.
This procedure can be done for GL Line Items(FBL3N),Vendor Line Item(FBL1N),Customer Line Item(FBL5N) .

  • Re-run Foreign Currency Revaluation

    Hi,
Hope somebody can help me with my problem.
I performed F.05 transaction and upon saving the report in our shared drive I encountered problem causing to lost of the report.
Question, is there any way to retrieve the report? Please adivise.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You can still use t-code F.05 to get back the report, as long as leaves the indicators of "Create posting" and "Reverse posting" blank, then execute the report again, you will get the report of foreign currency revaluation back.
    Good luck

  • Depreciation area for foreign currency acquisitions (EURO)

    Hello,
My client requires that the foreign currency acquisitions (EURO acquisitions) should be tracked in a separate depreciation area (apart from other depreciation areas).
Is there anyway a depreciation area could be selectively populated only based on currency of the procurement/transaction currency?
Any alternatives exist, that would report the foreign currency acquisitons in the asset reporting?
    Thank you,
    Ram

    Hi
Is the purpose to track assets purchased in foreign currency or to see the depreciation on them based on some different rules - say the company has HQ in Europe and wants to see depren as per the rules in HQ country.

  • Clearing foreign currency payments against local currency bank account

    Hi all
We have foreign currency invoices (eg in USD, EUR) and would like to pay these from a AUD domestic bank account. Is this common practice or does the client need to enter such invoices in their external bank specific terminal to process such payments if they have a domestic currency bank account.
How does the Electronic bank Statement (which is in AUD) clear these foreign currency invoices (EFT clearing account or suspense account). I presume we would have to post to a suspense account clearing and then do a manual post with clearing after loading the bank statement.  However, the amounts do not balance to zero as i cannot clear items off as they are in different document currencies as noted below.
    INVOICE
cr vendor  100USD   200AUD - cleared by payment program
    dr expense 100USD   200AUD
    PAYMENT PROGRAM
    cr Sus clg 100USD   210AUD
dr vendor  100USD   200AUD - Cleared by payment program
    dr FX g/l    0USD    10AUD
    ELECT. BANK STATEMENT
    dr Sus clg 205AUD
    cr Cash    205AUD
What would be the standard approach for such postings from an SAP bank accounting functionality point of view.
Is there a better way of design the above payment process.

    Hi,
    this is a hard task.
You have to play with the GL account master data. See documentation for field "Only balances in local crcy". It is quite good described for the clearing in foreign currencies.
Also I have some doubts that there were settings in FI for foreign currencies clearing, but I have never customize it.
Hope I helped you (if so... points reward would be highly appreciated )
    Regards,
    Alex

  • Bank Reconciliaiton and Clearing Process of Banks in Foreign Currency

    Dear all
Can you please help me out in this process? My client has a bank account managed in USD and his Local Currency is in EURO.
Payments are made to a supplier in USD at an established exchange rate. The bank reconciliation (manual) is then processed on a later date with a different exchange rate - the rate in the system.
The client is then clearing the Vendor Payments with the Bank reconciliation posting. This in turn posts a clearing document as well as a realised gain/loss on exchange. The clearing of the Payment with the invoice also takes place as a further process with a further gain/loss on exchange created.
The client is saying that in the case when clearing Payments with the Bank reconciliation for foreign currency the posting should not create a gain / loss on exchange.
Can you please help? Is the process correct? They can update the foreign exchange rate in the table when posting the bank reconciliation to be more or less equal to average exchange rate of payments but this is not practical.
Is it possible to someway define the exchange rates during manual bank reconciliation or avoid the creation of an exchange rate division?
    Many thanks
    PRG

    Hi PRG,
When the Invoice has been made at a different rate and payments are being processed at a rate different from the Invoice, system is bound to create the additional line items for gain/loss on forex.
One option you can look out for is in the OBY6-Company code global settings-Select the check box Indicator: No ex.rate difference when clearing in local crcy.
    Thanks
    Aravind

  • Foreign currency Payment using foreign currency bank account

    Hi,
    We have the following requirement:
    Functional currency : GBP
    Bank Account :USD
Need to make payments in CAD
Since the bank account is not in functional currency we are unable to make that multi currency payment enabled. Users do not want to create a functional currency bank account.
Now how to overcome this situation ?

Hi, I am referring to paying foreign currency (ap payments) using non functional currency bank accounts. Are you referring to payment or receipts in foreign currency ?
Please refer the in 11i ap guide
    1. pg 2-104
    "Dening Multiple Currency Bank Accounts
A multiple currency bank account is an account that accepts payments in more than one currency.
If you define a multiple currency bank account for payments, the currency of the bank account must be the same as your functional currency."
    2. Payment Formats pg 2-140
" When you define a bank account, you can only allow payment of multiple currency invoices if the bank account currency is your functional currency."
These 2 states that you can pay suppliers in foreign currency only if the bank acct currency through which you are paying is same as functional currency. But my bank account currency is different from functional currency.
Since you say you are doing , I am quite interested to find out more. Can you please let me know your currency setups on the bank and payment format.
    Thanks
