Emond[106]: Host at 10.0.0.100 will be blocked for at least 15 minutes

After a clean install of Lion Server 10.7.3 (1.3.1) and making the basic configuration (users etc.) i enabed the Time Machine service with a WDC MyBook Studio Edition II as the destination. Setting up the first client using this TS Service works fine, but the second client reports the error "Time Machine cannot complete the backup, backup disk not available" after starting the initial backup.
Only indication on the server side that it fails is the message "Feb 25 13:22:48 paris emond[106]: Host at 10.0.0.100 will be blocked for at least 15 minutes" in the system log as an isolated message;
Feb 25 13:21:50 paris org.clamav.clamd[74]: SelfCheck: Database status OK.
Feb 25 13:22:48 paris emond[106]: Host at 10.0.0.100 will be blocked for at least 15 minutes
Feb 25 13:31:50 paris org.clamav.clamd[74]: SelfCheck: Database status OK.
I tried the following to solve it;
Flush the firewall
sudo /sbin/ipfw -f flush
Change the default firewall address from 127.0.0.0 to the ip-addres of the ethernet interface of the Lion Server
vi /etc/af.plist

serveradmin stop ipfilter
serveradmin start ipfilter
Add the subnet 10.x.x.x to the firewall whitelist
/usr/libexec/afctl afctl -w 10.0.0.0/8
Till now not, no joy .
The only indication i could find till now is the "emond[106]: Host at 10.0.0.100 will be blocked for at least 15 minutes" message in the
system log. Anyone any suggestions , ideas , hints how to analyze this issue further or better to resolve this ?

I had a similar problem. I fixed it using a few steps. I think the important steps were performed on the Time Machine client although I also rebooted the Time Machine server once and cycled the Time Machine service on and off a few times. I also turned on and off the external drives connected to the Time Machine server.
Now to the steps that I think actually fixed the problem. They were performed on the Time Machine client.
1) Under Time Machine in System Preferences, turn it off and remove the remote backup destination.
2) Under Keychain Access in Utilities within Applications, look for entries under login and System related to your Time Machine server machine.
3) From the client, I connected to the Time Machine server both through Finder and through Time Machine preferences under System Preferences. Instead of just entering the password, I changed the password a few times.
4) I also deleted the Keychain entries between some of these password changes.
5) Then I went back to Time Machine one last time and set up the remote volume on the Time Machine server and turned it on.

  • Hyper-V host 1Gbps NIC negotiated at 100 Mbps when used for Virtual Switch

    Hi all,
Hoping someone can shed some light on this one as I’ve been trying to hunt down a solution for a week now.
    Setup
HP ProLiant ML350 G6 with HP NC326i PCIe Dual Port Gigabit Server Adapter network adapters
Windows Server 2008 R2 Core with only the Hyper-V role installed
    SBS 2011 installed as guest
Port 1 on Dual port NIC configured a physical port or management of Host only
Port 2 on Dual port NIC configured for use as an External Virtual Switch port for use by guests only
The issue is that the physical port connected to the Hyper-V virtual Switch negotiates with the network switch at 100 Mbps full duplex while the management port negotiates at 1 Gbps full duplex. All clients (brand new HP Z210 workstations) also negotiate
with the switch at 1 Gbps.
During file copies and backups the network port connected to the Virtual Switch does not show any errors and transfers data at close to 100 Mbps. File transfers between individual workstations and workstations and server core again show no errors, but transfers
    at 1 Gbps.
One observation is that the physical NIC connected to the Virtual Switch does not negotiate with the switch until the Hyper-V service has started (I’m guessing) the virtual switch.
Also, while staging the server the Hyper-V virtual switch created when the server was connected to a 100 Mbps switch not a 1Gbps switch as it is in production.
Has anyone encountered anything similar and if so how did you get the physical NIC to operate at full capabilities? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
I purchased one gigabyte switch for home used several days ago, I just performed some copy tests between virtual machines and physical machines(not
Hyper-V host machine)in the same LAN, the average copy speed is 350Mb/s.
    Best Regards,

That would be software. And, you said "upload." That's "uploading software." Why do you question what you stated?
I don't know where you even want to upload this software. The only way it can be downloaded to a device is through the iTunes store. Do you even know what you want to do?

  • I forgot my ipad on charge after 100%,is this bad for ipad battery?

I forgot my ipad on charge after 100%,is this bad for ipad battery?

Once the battery was fully charged, the smart circuitry stops charging the battery.  Power is then used just for running the device, and the charging circuits will not cut back in until the battery has spontaneously drifted down by 5%-10% of a full charge (which should take days with a normal, healthy battery).
You cannot over charge any Apple device.

Can I begin prepaid service with a $100.00 card good for one year and if so what are the usage terms?

Yes; phone is for Verizon PREPAID plans. Sri I did not state that correctly. I see that there are prepaid plans with monthly usage etc. I see some offers on line for a $100.00 card that's good for one year.  Trying to determine if that is available from a Verizon store to begin a new plan. Checked with two different Verizon stores and got two opposite answers and neither was sure of the terms. Simply trying to get a low cost backup. Thank you for responding.

I know I need to keep max luminance under 100 for Broadcast. But I am only producing DVDs (or Blu ray) to be played on home DVD players
Should I still limit luminance to 100 or use 110 for slightly less quantization noise?

It's good practice to observe those rules, regardless. Remember, there are inherent mechanical limitations of the various displays to be considered as well.

I am going through a divorce and she has the computer. I'm trying to tranfer my music to a new computer but for about 100 songs its asking for her authorization password that I dont have. How can I get these songs transfered or can I?

It sounds like two Apple accounts were used in the purchase of songs, yours and hers.  Assuming she won't give you her password, you're kinda stuck.  For $129 or so you can repurchase them all.
By the way, if she has the computer and it has your account info in it, you ought to change your password.

Can I upload a php file to my host with an embedded html contact form in Muse for it to work?

That would require to know your hosting provider and his requirements. And therein also lies the answer: You cannot blindly design a form in Muse and just hope it will work, you have to know this stuff beforehand and design "to spec".

  • CPU going 100%. Can blocked thread may be a reason?

    Hi Team,
May be a dumb question. In my application around 40 threads are in blocked state and CPU is going about 100%. Is blocked threads may be reason for that? As threads are blocked, CPU should not be busy entertaining them, that is the reason why this question came in mind. Can somebody clear my this doubt.
    Thanks in advance.

I encounter the same problem, although I run Berkeley DB (Ver 6.0.20, C#) under .NET Framework and Windows server 2008(x64). Any BDB application of win32 runs well but will encounter trouble under platform of x64 when compile BDB to x64, even though the DLL compiled and linked with win32. The bug is that Berkeley DB take amount of memory as the size of databases and regardless of cacheSize. My estimation is that all memory for BDB malloced and NOT freed.

  • Ipad(4th gen) does not connect to Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw for AirPrinting

    Hi,
I have a problem with Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw and Airprinting.
Ipad(4th gen) cannot connect to printer for AirPrinting.
Wireless Direct is set on in the printer.
When I choose to connect to printers own wifi network with my Ipad, it can't connect.
(Ipad doesn't show the wifi symbol on top left corner.)
And if I try to print with Safari, it says "AirPrint-tulostimia ei löytynyt" which means in english "No Airprint-printers found".
I have all installations by the guide book several times, but seems that this Airprint simple doesn't work.
    Device Configuration show this:
    Installed Personalities and Options
    PCL6           (20040201)
    AirPrint
    PCL              (20040201)
    PDF              (20040201)
    PS                 (20040201)
I wonder why AirPrint has empty value? (what ever this  might mean)

    Hi,
Thank you for your reply and first action plan to find a quick fix.
Unfortunatelly even though I disabled IPv6, it didn't fix the problem. Also reboot and WIFI restart has been tryed sevelar times without any help. Ipad Safari is still giving me a message "no airprint printer found".
Same problem also when I try to print so that both Ipad and printer are  connected to my home WLAN/DSL-router.
I don't see any problems for the printer to connect my home WLAN,  both printer and Ipad has received an IP address from the WLAN router.
My router model is Zyxel AMG1202-T10B.
Ipad is updated to it's latest SW version which is 7.0.6. and printer's firmware date is 20131028.
I have no problems printing with my Windows 7 desktop computer which is connected to same network as well.
Windows 7 PC is connected to router via Ethernet. Printer is connected to router via Wireless, not ethernet.

  • Debugfs using 100% cpu on boot for 10 minutes

    Hi,
I've recently installed archlinux on my Thinkpad x230.
I have arch and windows on my SSD which is /dev/sdb and I've got an HD for storing files at /dev/sda1 (ext4).
I set it up with systemd in the beginning so I can't compare to what it was like when it was using init.
    I'm getting commands like:
    root      3524  0.0  0.0  21520  1112 ?        R    15:08   0:00 debugfs -R stat ./grub/i386-pc/newc.mod /dev/sda1
    root      3510 94.5  0.0  21520  1108 ?        R    15:08   0:01 debugfs -R stat ./grub/i386-pc/probe.mod /dev/sda1
With various files running for about 10 minutes on boot and using 100% of my cpu.
Seems to be related to the HD on /dev/sda1 as I don't believe I've seen any on /dev/sdb.
I've looked around and I can't find anything about this.

If any more info if needed I'll try to supply as soon as possible.
    Thanks!

    Start with this:
Open System Preferences, select the Network pane and select AirPort in the "Show:" popup menu.
Set the "By default, join:" popup menu to "Preferred networks."
Delete the listed preferred networks using the "-" button but this time we did not add it back again with the "+" button as Apple recommends.
Set the "By default, join:" popup menu to "Automatic."
    Restart.
Manually rejoin the AirPort network using the AirPort menu icon, i.e. selecting the network (or selecting "Other" and typing in the network name if hidden) and typing in the WPA (or WEP) password.
If you are using the Checkpoint Secure Client software, then you need to uninstall it.
Why reward points?(Quoted from Discussions Terms of Use.)
The reward system helps to increase community participation. When a community member gives you (or another member) a reward for providing helpful advice or a solution to their question, your accumulated points will increase your status level within the community.
Members may reward you with 5 points if they deem that your reply is helpful and 10 points if you post a solution to their issue. Likewise, when you mark a reply as Helpful or Solved in your own created topic, you will be awarding the respondent with the same point values.
