I have some address in my outlook express mail box that I want firefox to let through and open the website but firefox won't let it come through how do I fix this problem so that I can use these websites

I had the same problem when i dl-ed a new anti-virus softward, but what I did help me reconnect Firefox again!
Here is what I did,
Go to open firefox browser-->option-->advanced-->network-->settings-->and change it to auto-detect proxy settings for this network!

Firefox won´t accept entered verification codes.

On some websites (eBay for example) you have to enter a verification code (to avoid spam messages) to be able to send email to a seller.
When I do that in Firefox the website won´t accept my enter and asks me to enter the code (a new one) again.
When I execute exactly the same procedure in Internet Explorer there are no such problems.
(Firefox ver 16.02.4680. IE ver 8.0.6001.18702.)
What shall I do to be able to use Firefox in the same way as IE?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

My Firefox won't let me browse the Internet, even though I'm connected to the Internet.

Excuse me, but my Firefox 3.6 just randomly stopped working. It won't let me browse the Internet anymore-- the error message it always gives me is "Unable to connect", even though I'm fully connected to the Internet. Earlier I opened up Safari and Internet Explorer 9-- both, in which, let me browse the Internet, and I had a full connection. But, whenever I use Firefox now, it says "Unable to connect". Make sure you are not set to Work Offline in File menu.
There is a possibility that your connection dropped even briefly, more so if using wireless. Make sure Firefox is not set to "[v] Work Offline" in File menu just above Exit.

Firefox won't load some Yahoo sites, yet will load others like My Calendar, etc.

Recently, my Firefox has stopped loading "some" pages for Yahoo. I cannot load for example, My Yahoo Home Page, it just comes up "blank", no error message or anything. This also happens when I try to just load the base Yahoo page. Yet I am able to load my Yahoo Mail Page, as well as my Yahoo Calendar. It also occurs in other sites that I have used as well, so it's not related specifically to Yahoo sites. It also is Crashing when I try to do things as simple as click on the "why keep your Add-Ons updated link in the lower right of this forum help section. This is why I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, as I figured something got messed up to make it unstable.
As I said I have "uninstalled Firefox 4.0 and re-installed it", but yet no change. I also am able to load these various Yahoo sites when I use an different browser. I have also cleared my History and Cache, Cookies, etc, but still nothing has helped.
I need to fix this ASAP, as my home page has things on it that I need, and when I load up my yahoo in Explorer for example, I am missing a lot of my Favorites, Tool Bar Bookmarks, etc. Any help with this would be appreciated.
UPDATE: I just got off a chat session with support, and they suggested I run FireFox in Safe Mode, disable all Add Ons and then add them back one at time if I need them back. I did this, of course, "lost" my Chat Session and the problem described above "STILL" exists. Now I have an even bigger mess, as I have none of my same "look" and feel of my Firefox that I had before. How do I get out of "Safe Mode" now, and get back to the same look I had before? Remember, once I get back to this point, then I still have to deal with the "Original Issue" I once had posted above. Thank you.

Update: This is NOT just related to "Yahoo" pages, while this problem first began with some of my Yahoo pages, it is now also happening with other NON Yahoo things I want to load up. Like Twitter, or Links in emails that load Blank, or even images within emails that show up Blank in the preview part of Yahoo mail. It is NOT a Yahoo issue as I have loaded up my Yahoo Mail in IE and Chrome, and everything loads wonderfully. I can even load up sites like Twitter, and other websites that will NOT load in Firefox, but they come up fine in other Browsers.
I have done the ONLY suggestion that came from Firefox Tech support, to load up FF in Safe Mode, but the problems still exists. I have uninstalled FF and re-loaded it, but the same problem is there.
Does anyone have any ideas here at all? I can't seem to get any Fire Fox help, so I am reaching out to the community here to see if anyone can help.... Thank you !!

Yahoo mail login says Firefox won't accept cookies but my option is too accept cookies - so what's wrong?

My wife and I can't log into our Yahoo e-mail accounts (or, I guess, our Yahoo account). Whenever we try, we get the message: "The browser you're using refuses to sign in (cookies rejected)".
However, my cookies setting in Firefox is: 1) accept cookies 2) accept third-party cookies 3) keep cookies until they expire.
A few days ago I did change the cookie settings to 1) accept cookies from sites 2) do not accept cookies from sites 3) ask me every time. I also deleted a lot of cookies I didn't recognize or didn't want. I did this because I was (and still am) having trouble with a re-direction virus.
So if anyone has any suggestions as to what needs to be done to make Yahoo e-mail accessible again I would very much appreciate their advice.

I can't set Firefox to open PHP files with Firefox (in preferences- applications-php files) Firefox won't accept anything but "always ask" and Preview. I want to preview php files in Bbedit and that requires that Firefox can open it.

with an open php file in Bbedit (Macintosh) it was possible to preview appearance by chosing "Preview in.." in Bbedit's "Markup" menu. This called Firefox to open and display the file. Now, doing this continually repeats a "Open with (choose)" request.

Unfortunately this solution doesn't work for me for local files (on my computer). Still I can only choose to open in Notepad or "other". It seems that I can select Firefox, but it won't do anything when I actually select it.... I did NOT have this problem with the previous version of Firefox (before 6.0.2). The only thing that's changed, is the Firefox update from yesterday (September 28th, 2011).

WINE won't accept *some* keyboard input.

I'm not entirely sure whether this is the right place to ask something about WINE, but since most people do, I think it's fine.
Anyway, I'm having a little trouble with WINE. It won't read some input on some games like Astro Tripper and Warning Forever. It works perfectly (almost) on Ragnarok private server stuff, but on these two, i dont know.
Specific to Astro Tripper:
-The only button I can press is Enter. I can start the game then crash into a wall And yeah, the escape key works too. Arrow keys wont work, even in the menu.
Warning Forever:
- The only button that works is F12, which does only one thing: restart the game. Arrow keys wont work, even in the menu. [edit: works now. solves only this problem though]
Limit RO
- Flawless, except public chat. You can ignore this problem
What I tried to do:
- remove all wine config stuff and reinstall wine. Also, installed the latest DX redistributable.
Warning Forever is a very small game (700kb). I hope someone figures this out. Btw, I also tried running on both wine with virtual desktop and without virtual desktop

Exactly same thing here! I thought it was because of Musca (WM) because I changed a lot of its full screen handling code.
Musca can switch between floating and tiled. This makes for the following:
Tiled: Wine won't get input except at the start of the game sometimes not even
Switch to floating: Wine gets input
Cycle in group and back to Wine: Wine does not get focus until you switch to Tile and back to Floating
Cycle to another group and back to the Wine group: Wine keeps focus
So for the most comfortable usage where I switch to and from Wine a lot I have to put it in its own group in Floating mode.
Perfect Dark can regain focus by clicking some search keys.

Unless you're talking about the entire Mozilla Firefox folder (which isn't what the thing you copied says,) there is no installation folder.

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.

I did see the ability to flip between the two levels of the data. However, that isn't the same thing as what could be done previously, and what I used to do/the functionality I'd like back.
Flipping back and forth between the two sets of pages makes it harder for how I worked because I make extensive notes about the contacts in the notes field. I need to see those notes to know if I want to move that contact to another group. So you would need to constantly flip back and forth when before it was just scrolling a list and dragging the contact when you saw one that needed to be added to a group.
Bottom line is without the third "window" or view to all three levels of the data open at the same time, much of what I need to do is very difficult now.
I don't have a small screen, and would like to be able to use it. I don't like the idea of having limits imposed and having to work around what used to be there. That is going backwards, not forward.

IMovie won't let me use the video I want

I have several movies that I am using for a project and iMovie is allowing me to use some of the movies but not all of them. When I looked at the info in all of them, the only difference between them is that the ones that don't work have Codec: Text. Not sure if that means anything, but I really need these videos.

IMovie cannot edit clips with text tracks. The solution would be to open them in QuickTime Pro and delete the text tracks.
