  • Rebate agreement-Difference coming for credit note value and drill down value .

    Hello Friends,
In 2013 we had created one rebate for which the validity period was 1st April 2013 to 31st March 2014 . At the end of each month, rebate amount was settled by raising credit note to the customer . Now at the end of March'14 during final settlement, a credit note was raised to the customer . The issue here is there is difference of 1.13 (Pounds) between credit note value and the drill down value for March'14 . Lets say our credit note value is-100 (Pounds)and Drill down value for the month March'14 is 101.13 Pounds. We are not able to find out why this difference is coming . Please let me know your inputs on this .
    Regards,
    Sandeep G.

    Sandeep -
During final settlement of a rebate agreement, it calculates rebate amout for the the entire time period less payments already made to a customer and then issues a credit memo request based on that. Please check all the the invoices created during entire period and check accrual calculation. It should match.
You can check VBOX table to get billing documents for the entire period.
Let us know if you still have an issue.

  • Use Of Filter and Drill Down  By Option in Context Menu

    Hi,
We are  on  BI  7.0 patch 14.0
I have the Filter and Drill Down by option checked in the context menu Web item in WAD . However when I preview on the Web what happens is that the characteristic that I am using the filter and  drill down on shows up horizontally as opposed to in a column.
For eg: If I have the following data initially
    01/01/2007     250
    02/01/2007    500.
I keep my cursor on 01/01/2007 and do a filter and drill down by 0calqtr then what I see now is
    01/2007    02/2007 03/2007 04/2007
    instead of
    01/2007
    02/2007
    03/2007
    04/2007.
Each CalQtr will have a key figure Value beside it in the horizontal mode.
This happens only when I pick the characteristic on the Graph. On the Web Item Analysis it works fine. Has anyone faced this issue before. This worked fine when it was WAD 3.5. This affects the presentation of the graph. For Objects that have not been migrated the result still shows fine.

  • Can I navigate and drill down in chart and pivot table?

In the fact, the end user want to navigate to a detail report request when drill down to the final level.
I know when use table, I can navigate on data and drill down on column.
But in chart and "pivot table", I do not find the option of interaction to achieve this.
    Any suggestion?

You can drill down in charts but I just saw you can't in pivots (strange because I assumed that that must be possible)
However, you can always use guided navigation!

  • Reporting Services Error after Interactive sorting and drill down in pps

    Hi
i have a report  that has a drill down option that shows all workgroups within a specific  parent group and an interactive sorting ass well on both columns  parent group &  workgroup
This is displayed  in pps combined with a SharePoint
---the problem is that after sorting the parent group column by name   i then press the drill through icon  (+) next to it hopping to see all workgroups related to each parent group
      - but instead
i receive this Reporting Services Error  :
The value for parameter 'SortItem' is not specified. It is either missing from the function call, or it is set to null. (rsMissingParameter) Get
    Online Help
If I don't press the sorting and just drill through it works fine. the sorting itself also works fine.
    any suggestions ?

    Hi Hyaron,
I am unable to reproduce the issue in my test environment. How did you add the drilldown feature? Were you doing that by setting visibility of the column or of the group? Please ensure to add the drilldown functionality by set the visibility of the workgroup
from the Grouping Pane in the Report Designer.
How did you add the Interactive Sorting on the headers of the two columns? Based on the drilldown functionality, the Interactive Sorting on the second column doesn’t work. So, you can move the Interactive Sorting on the second column. When configuring the
Interactive sorting on the first column, you should set the parent group to sort, and sort by the field that the parent group groups by.
    Hope this helps.

  • Hyperlink and drill down

    Hello Experts,
i have a webi report which is having hierarchires and i can drill on 'em, i am trying to create a hyperlink to open another report from the last level of hierarchy, my problem when i create hyperlink i am losing drill functionality on the column, how can i achieve hyperlink to other report keeping drill down functionality.
    Thanks.

When your are drilling dwon into your child report, please make sure that you pass appropriate parameters to run the child report. Lets say, the parent report is for State and child report is county information. If you click on state, that particular value  should be passed on to the child report to give us the information of all counties in that state.
    Try this:
    = "<ahref=\"http://yourservername/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?&sRefresh=Y&sType=rpt&iDocID=2386894&sWindow=New&StateName""="reportobject"\">"reportobject"</a>"
Hope this works out for you.
Note: reportobject is something that will be in the report which has value of the state in this example.
    Thanks,

  • Inconsistency in upper level report and drill down report

    I have to reports:
    1) Higher level report pulls data against customers and shows aggregated data for all promotions for that customer from a table A.
    2) Lower level report pulls data from the same table A, but for all promotions against a customer after i drill down on a Customer.
However, the values of a measure when summed up for a customer in the higher and lower level reports, does not match sometimes. Sometimes its in sync, sometimes its not.
My Oracle BI servers are 2 in no. with clustered configuration. Can this be an issue related to caching of measure values? If not, please give me pointers in other directions i can look.

clustering is not a problem here....just check for some example...and do some unit testing to find the rootcause of mismatch..it might be including some some extra values..

  • Sum by and drill down

hi, there are 3 levels in a dimension (grand total level , market and sub market)
due to the complicated setting in RPD, I cannot use the normal method to GET "grand total" of a table.
I found that I need to use "SUM(value BY market)" in the column formula to get the grand total.
( I have enabled "grand total" of the table (clicked on the imagebutton)).
(if the column formula is value, not using SUM BY, the issued sql : *...... AGGREGATE(value by ) .....* )
however, due to there is drill down on market.
the excepted ui behavior is : when users click one of the markets, the sub markets and their values are shown.
However, due to using SUM ... BY market, the values are still values of markets (not values of sub markets)
are there any tricks to handle this ??
    thanks !!

I have directly avoided this problem by using other ways.

  • Roll-up and Drill-down in JOLAP

    HI!!!!
I'm studing the JOLAP specification and I don't understand how to implement the drill-down and roll-up operations.
Where can I find some example about it?
    HELP, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    :-(

    Hello,
Just to add to the above replies from our two experts.
I checked your scenario, and I think maybe you can acheive this just by changing the macro's execution level, from detailed level to aggregated level. Here you do not need the drill_down and drill_up macros, which are time consuming ...
Please have a try and good luck
    Best Regards,

  • First Page is Table and drill down page is chart

    Hi All,
In my dashboard i should display only table. In table, if i select one drill down values. It should display only chart not for table formate.
    How to set this option.
First page it sholuld be table
Drill down page should be chart
    How will do this.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Create two reports one with table and other with chart in compound layout view.Place Table in one page and to to column properties->data format->value interaction->navigation->select chart report that you created under column through which you want to navigate to chart.Make that column as prompted in chart if you want to filter data based on column selected.

  • What is the difference between drill across and drill down?

    Hi Friends,
Please give a clarification about Drill across,Drill down,Drill through With Examples?
    Thanks in Advance
    Rani

    Hi,
1 - Drill Down: When we are at a higher level of aggregation and want to go to a lower level within the same size. Ex Time Dimension: year to quarter to month ...
2 - Drill UP: When we are in a lower level of aggregation and want to go further in the same size. Ex Time Dimension: trimenstre for months to years.
3-Drill Across: When we are in a lower level of aggregation and want to go to a minor or vice versa, in different environments. Ex Dimenão Time: year quarter in a Data Mart for Essbase Dimension in Time: months in a DW in a relational database.
4 - Drill Through: When we are at a level of aggregation within any one dimension of this level and go to another in another dimension. Ex Product dimension: product name to Dimension Client: client name, or want to know what products or those that customers bought.

  • Group and drill down and roll up by the most recent SCD2 type member in reporting period in SSAS

    Hello,
I am new to SSAS and cube world so my problem might not be big of a challenge for you but it is for me.
    Here is my challenge :
My simplified datamart relation star schema model looks like this (2 dimensions and one fact):
    DATE dimension - Date_Id, Date, Fiscal_Year, Fiscal_Quearter, Fiscal_Month, Calendar_Month, etc
CLIENT dimension – Cient_SK, Client_Id, and two  SCD2 type fields : Status, and Class and, of course, Start_Date, End_Date to keep track of SCD2 along with a Current_Flag . I can have several records for the same Client_Id
    over a given reporting  period.
    FACT – Date_ID, Client_SK, Client_Id
Fact table is daily snapshot that loads one record per client only if a client was active on that day.
    Requirement:
Count number of currently active clients group by  “Status” or “Class” with option to roll-up to the total count of clients
Count total number of clients who were active in the specific reporting period (period can be fiscal year or fiscal quarter or a month) grouped by the most recent “Label” or most recent “Status” or most recent “Class” in that reporting period.
I created a cube and created a measure “Distinct_Count” that does just that - distinct count on Client_Id. It works just fine for current date as well as for any given reporting period and I have nice rolling-up/down thru Fiscal_Year-Fiscal_Quarter- Month.
But I am having problem grouping by any of 3 attributes with SCD2 type in CLIENT dimension. I do not know how to get the latest active value (member) in the reporting period
    Here is my CLIENT dimension:
    Client_SK
    Client_Id
    Status
    Class
    Start_Date
    End_Date
    Current_Flag
    14
    78
    fair

    03/01/2008
    27/09/2012
    0
    73
    78
    very good
    C
    28/09/2012

    Average

    02/12/2013
    31/12/2099

    For example:
If selected reporting period is  Fiscal_Quarter is Q2 that covers period Aug-Sep-Oct (Client_SK: 89, 95, 97) and if my client was active in that period, when I group active client’s count by “Status”
attribute I need to count this client in the group “Good” since that was the most recent value for this client in this period (Q2) for this attribute (Status).
I do not know if this is important but just in case: user interface  could be Excel application or any MDX enabled Microsoft or third party visualisation tool.
    Thanks in advance

  • Line Chart cannot drill down on legends and lines

I am doing a drill down Group report which will show the Sum of Last year's Sales By Country, State and city over a period of time(by date) for throughout the year 2007. Every group will have a line chart with Data title as Sum of Last year's Sales ($), Group Title as Date and legends displaying countries (or states or cities) as USA,UK,Australia. etc.. I have same sort of line chart for State and City as well. So, I got 3 levels of groups with a line-chart displayed in every group level.
Now, the problem is my drill down would not work on chart lines or legends as it would do for a 2-dimensional data chart like a bar-chart or pie-chart. In the Chart Expert->Data->Layout:Group ->in the On Change Of event selection I am able to specify either Sales.Country (or) Sales.country and Sales.Sales.State. Both options would not let me get the correct linechart with correct data and drill-down working as well.
The only work-around i got is to display the line chart with legends and showing the Country(or State or City) names in a field in the Group Footer. The drilling will work on those fields, but not on the legends or lines of the line chart. This make my report showing the Country names twice once on legend (with no drill-down) and once on group-footer(with drilling ability to groups below) which is untidy.
Have anyone tried to make a drill-down crystal report on a 3-dimensional data like this? The World Sales report in Crystal reports C:\Program...\BO\Samples\General Business\World Sales Report is the best example of how i would like to see my charts to drill down. However, they drill down across a 2-dimensional data. I am publishing this Crystal Reports in Business Objects Infoview.

Please re-post if this is still an issue
