GRR3 Deleted Report Painter report

I deleted a Report Painter report in GRR2. It no longer exists in table T008 or assigned to any report group. However, the deleted report still appears in GRR3 under the respective library. How can we remove permanently a deleted report from GRR3?

Okay, good to know. Now I have to figure out how to import an updated version of library, or the whole Report Painter tools. Thank you Navneet for indirectly helping me resolve the problem.

Implicit enhancement for report painter reports(For GRR3 and CJE3)

Hi,
We have a client requirement to add 5 fields (In selection screen) to report painter reports ( Reports of CJE3 and GRR3 ).We created Z reports as a copy of standard reports, added required 5 fields by implementing SAP notes and other settings.We have also done implicit enhancement for all these reports to make change in the behaviour of new fields.This is working fine in the development client but the problem is once we transport this to other client new reports get generated( With new name ) and implicit enhancement will be lost.
For eg:in development client for CJE1/CJE2 report the program name will be "GPAVPSATWFP4NN0YRDBIQBHI8MQ"
but when we transport it to other client new program "GP8O1UCNZTJYY5LTO8GN0UW2GQB" is generated in which implicit enhancements are not found.
Can you please suggest how to handle implicit enhancement in such cases? Or what is the correct way to transport it.

I have already done implicit enhancement as you said ,my problem is to transport it to another client.
I have implemented implicit enhancement for one report lets say it as "ABC", and i transport it to another client with all the enhancement. But in another client new program "XYZ" is getting generated for same report( dynamic programs ), so my implicit enhancement is present but its applicable to "ABC" program but not for "XYZ".
Can you please suggest how can i handle this??

Data for Report Painter report

Hi Gurus,
I have a report painter report S_ALR_87013019 . This uses the
Library 602 (gr23), report - 60BU-001 (GRR3).
Need to create a regular report based on this, Can you Please tell from which tables the values are getting retrieved by this report painter report, or in general on how to trace back the tables used by the report painter.
Also if it uses Set ID as inputs for fetching data, is there a way to get the setid/setclass value.

The As on Date balance cant be cumulated...
Eg; you bought inventory worth 10 million in Current year and as of now you have 4 million worth of inventory in stock
Cumulated bal in this case is 10 mil and As on Date balance is 4 million... 4 million is what you will get in SAP reports
The same Key figure which shows values in comp code currency can be used

In report painter report, line item level drilldown report requirment

Dear All,
I created one report in GRR1, when I execute the report i am not getting line item wise drilldown option. For example one cost center no of line itemwise posting ( g/ls wise)posting is there. By double clicking on that specific line item we will go that ledger and see the data available in that ledger.In standard reports that option available but my own reports I unable to go drilldown at ledger level cost reports.
Please sugget anyone, where I am doing mistake in report creation level.

My client facing the problem with Report painter reports , almost all the reports taking much amount of time to execute . we are Using 5.0 version tables FAGLFLEXT and CSSS . i have some doubts report index is the cause for this or any other reasons can any one help me in this regard,

just create a proper index and performance will increase. There are some SAP OSS notes who deal with this (for example field "client" should be added if'm not mistaken).
We did the same on profit center tables with huge performance increases

Problem in Exporting a Report Group having a Report Painter Report.

I am having a problem in exporting a Report group having a Report Painter report.When I am trying to export the Report Group using transaction GR57 with all dependent objects,it is displaying:
       group 0102CPDNUEA-CCROSI not transported.
       Transport groups separately if necessary.
There are 6 such groups which are not transported.Can anybody help me in this regards.Can anybody help me in exporting these Groups.Specifically in Report painter reports what do these Groups signify and how can we see them.Please help me....

I am able to export my report groups with dependent objects successfully.
I dont know why you are getting error message. Just keep break point at ***** and execute it for single group and find out why it is giving error.

Profit center group number on the report painter report.

Hi,
We have a client requirement where we have to develop Profit center by Functional Area report by using report painter report functionality, however we are able to bring profit center group description on to the report as per the requirement, but not able to get profit center group number displayed on the report.
Can anyone please advice me if we can get the Profit center group number displayed on the report in Report painter report. Else let me know if we can get the requirement met by an ABAPER.

Hi.
First of all, through transaction GS01 create a set ID for profit centers.
Give table GLPCT, let the set type be the default (basic set) and give field name RPRCTR. Then define the range of profit centers you want. If you want all the profit centers give * in the "from value field".
Then create a variable through transaction GS11. Give table and field as above, choose variable type set and at the default set field choose the set you created.
Finally, at report painter go to Edit/General Data Selection and select profit center.
Check both flags (for entering sets and variables) and give at the form field the variable you've made.
Now the progit center group will be available in the selection screen with default value the set you've made.

Report Painter Report - Leading White Spaces in Cost Element

When calling up a report painter report, e.g. S_ALR_87013613, with cost element characteristic in Office integration/Microsoft Excel as output parameters, the cost element (row item) is indented with white spaces. The number of white spaces seems to be in relation with summation levels (sub-totals) visible in the left panel. For some cost centres that only have limited transactions, such as no posting to salary account group, there are less levels of summation, meaning less leading white space in cost elements. Is there any way to eliminate or have a fixed number of leading white spaces in cost elements?
We export the report to Excel worksheet for further processing. VLOOKUP function is used to read the cost element into another workbook. The inconsistent number of leading white spaces creates a problem for the formulas to work properly.
Any suggestion is appreciated.

There are different ways of downloading the report to excel. One option is
System ==> List ==> save (to local file)
Please try with other options.
If still not working, then the work around would be
You can put ctrl+H (replace all spaces)
Then text to columns

Issues in Report Painter Reports

Dear All,
We are on ECC 6.0. We are using some Report Painter Reports and we are facing the following 2 issues:
1. Authorization
For some of the Profitability Reports, we are facing authorization issues. e.g. If I do not need a user to view the profitiability of a particular Business Area to which he does not belong to then I should be able to restrict the same via authorization. However, I do not know where to maintain such authorization objects in Report Painter Reports
2. Financial Statement Version
We have created a Cash Flow Statement by using the Report Painter. We have created a Form whereby we have assigned GL Accounts to some characteristics and Financial Statement Version Item to others. However, when we execute the report, we can see figures for only those items where we assigned the GL Accounts and not for those items where we assigned FSV Items.

Line Items missing in report painter report..

Iam uisng customized P&L report painter report using with library 1VK....in this report some line items are not shwoing..... how to solve it...

After you've create a P&L report using the report painter, you would also have to create line item reports for example 'Receiver- Profit Center Line Items' and then assign these line items reports under 'Report/Report Interface' in the P&L report.
How to do this:
1. After creating the line item report(s), use transaction code GR52 which is for change report group. Enter the P&L report group and click enter.
2. Under 'Report/Report Interface', click on 'configure' under assigned report to library.
3. In the pop-up screen, click on the green plus sign "Insert Row"
4. Another screen will pop-up. Enter the report group for the line items report and enter.
5. Save
6. Regenerate your report group. After regeneration, execute.
7. Drill-down in the displayed P&L report to the line items.
Don't hestitate to ask for further clarifications.

Selection values in Report Painter Report

Hi All,
I am creating a report painter report for Plan/Actual values using library 0FL.In my characteristic value column I included fiscal year as a value and hard coded the fiscal year so i dont need this parameter in my selction screen.When I execute the report the fiscal year is coming in the selection twice.i.e:
Fiscal Year
Fiscal Year
Company Code
Period
From Profit Center
To Profit Center
How do I wipe out this fiscal year from my selection screen? In GRR2 -> EDIT--> General data selection , I only have profit center values.I dont know why this fiscal year is coming up as a selction parameter when I hard coded in the column.Any help.Thanks

In GRR2, Against the char, there is a check box where in you specify to treat it as a variable.. DId you check that box? Unless you check that, it wont appear in the selection screen

Display Profit Center & GL Account in 2 Seperate Columns in Report Painter Report

Hello All,
I am building a Report Painter Report for Inventory Balances. As psrt of my requirement I have to display GL Account & Profit Center ina different Column & their Balances for each month on this Current Fiscal Period. As/of now I am only able to have both GL Account & Profit Center in the Same Lead Column? And it is perfect if I look on the Report but when I download all the GL Account & Profit Center are not seperated with Color, so it becomes confusing. I need to have execlty the Report as Same Format S_PL0_86000030.
How can this be achievable? Thanks for your valuable input?

the account is probably in account group or set. Look for that one in report painter and then go to the set or account group and remove/add the account.

Selection Field in Report Painter Report

Could any one tell me the procedure to add new field at selection screen for the report painter report ? To change the report painter selection screen i have to change the Report group or Report of the report group?

In general data selection, i have already cost center, but it is not apprearing at selection screen. Only three field are appearing (Year + Period + Forecast), and i want to add cost center at the selection screen. How to make cost center field at selection field from General data selection option. Report painter report in portal - Excel output in SAP GUI for HTML

Dear sirs,
I need your expertize. I would like to let my users display (Excel in place)/ save the result of my report painter reports into MS Excel. I have found notes 499262 a 314568, but didn´t understand the message (or there is no message:)). Does that mean I cannot use Excel in place together with Report painter and SAP GUI for HTML?
Second question: is there a place (user exit in generated code? I don´t even know what I am looking for) to get the data provided by the report painter engine and send the retrieved data to some custom function (to be able to call the Adobe form, to save it as a text file or any option how to manipulate the resulting data...?).

Hi Otto,
You can send print the report to the spool and then use RSTXPDFT4 program to convert this spool to PDF file. Alternatively, you can export the spool to spreadsheet or ASCII file via SP01 transaction.
Additinally, I'm not aware of unability to use Excel output with SAP GUI interface.
