I have loaded the latest and greatest version of the gmail app and I want it to quit pushing my mail. I do not want my notifications of endless junk mail filling my phone and costing me huge data charges. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

This app was great, now it is simply not very flexible.

If you're using the BlackBerry browser, you can't configure anything to bypass the RIM servers. I believe you may do so by using the Opera browser, but I haven't tried it myself so cannot comment with authority.

This is a part of the larger MacBook Pro connectivity issue. There are several related threads dealing with the MBP's networking problems. If your unit is suffering from this type of difficulty, good luck ... (or a long ethernet cable)

I updated today to the 5.0.1 and now when I try to sync to ITunes, it doesn't recognize my phone and an error message comes up saying that "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started.' I have a MacBook Early 2009, when I open Adobe Reader and try to put text in the blanks, which I used to be able to do. It always closes on me. I am running OS 10.7.5 and Adobe 11.0.04. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am trying to place text in an Adobe Reader document. I have done this hundreds of times. Everytime I click on the text icon it Adobe crashes. How can I fix this.
I have also had a couple of apps do the same thing. They work once or twice then crash.

Got the latest Itunes (11, I think) and now it says that 'Itunes.itl isn't working because it's a newer version of Itunes' and when I go to my older Itunes, the F7, F8 and F9 buttons won't work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Okay, so I got the latest update and apparently it doesn't work. I had an icon on my desktop that wouldn't open because the 'newer Itunes' is apparently corrupt or something. Going into my applications, I found another Itunes icon and it opens up, but not the F7, F8 and F9 keys aren't working with it. I've already tried installing the latest version and that hasn't helped. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

What version of OS X are you using? If Yosemite, you need to update to 10.10.1 or higher.

If the center portion of the monitor is flickering then your GPU on the logic is bad or (unlikely given this symptom) that your monitor cable is pinched/damaged.
**Imediately backup ALL your important data while you can still see things on the monitor

perform SMC reset just to check:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.

You have to delete the corrupt back-up so iTunes can at least back-up the current data on the iPhone and then restore it. Search these forums, there a several good posts on how to delete the corrupt back-up.
