I have windows 7 starter on my netbook and the latest version of Firefox seems to not do well. Ho do I get back to Firefox 4? Or is there another version/customizations that is better?

The latest version of Firefox tends to not agree with my windows 7 starter netbook. I get a lot of hangups and crashes. I would like to download Firefox 4 again but can't seem to find it on your site in order to download it. Do you have any other suggestions that would be a good fit for windows 7 starter?
Also, I keep getting messages saying that Firefox is causing high CPU and memory usage on my netbook.

Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Version 3.6.18 would be a safer choice.
Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: If you don't have Firefox ask you before updating, you may need to set that to prevent an automatic update back to Firefox 5. Tools > Options > Advanced, Update mini-tab

Because line-in has been removed.
It does allow for an Apple headset with mic., but I don't know if it would work with third-party ones.
You'll need to use a Griffin iMic or similar to use line-in via a USB port.
The same goes for the 15" retina, the newest MBA and the new iMac (whenever it finally arrives).

Both of these are adware/spyware and cause performance issues in Firefox.

Pse trial v12 installed but when opening the editor it shuts down after 2 seconds, what can be the problem? I have windows 8.1 64 bit with the latest video drivers installed. Thanks

PSE trial 12 installed just fine but when i start the editor it opens and shuts down after about 2 seconds without an error, the only thing that appears is a message with 'continue trial'.
I have windows 8.1 64 bit and i already installed the latest video drivers, intel hd 4000 and nvidia geforce 710M.
I also installed premiere elements version 12 with the same problem.
What can be the problem here, please help?

Yes, its a shame. I have also contacted lenovo support hoping that they can sort out this problem. However, first response from them was 'contact your internet service provider since internet connectivity goes down'! :-/ I am hoping I have been able to get through to them now at least about where the problem lies. I wonder if anyone has tried using the laptop with the same broadcom wireless adapter with some other version of OS (linux, windows 7 etc.) and whether they still face the same problem. I haven't tried that yet. If this is just an OS / driver issue I hope someone somewhere is working on a fix! If not, I guess the only other solution would be to get an external USB wifi adapter but that is not something one would want to do when you buy a brand new Lenovo laptop. This was a big let down for me.

I have a 2nd gen ipad. Since the latest ios update my ipad will not charge when hooked up to my computer running windows 7 and even though it shows that it syncs in Itunes, it will not download any apps. It just seems to skip that part.

I went to the apple store and they hooked up my ipad to a mac and it showed that it was charging and that apps would download. My ipones, touches, and ipods are not having any problems, just this ipad. It seems to be since I updated to the new ios. You can't even do a restore on it because it doesn't recognize it. It shows up top that it's doing that but nothing happens on the ipad. The computer seems to recognize the ipad, itunes recognizes it. It acts like it is communicating with it but it doesn't download anything and won't charge when it's hooked up to the USB port. THe Apple store says there is nothing wrong with this ipad which is about 6 mths old. So what now?

Many thanks, Peter for reacting to my question. When I do as you suggest, the first page of the section is numbered 1 as I instructed. But the rest of the section remains unnumbered. Interestingly, the thumbnail view still shows the page numbers beginning with the prior section and continuing into the next section. This is very frustrating process. Perhaps I am overlooking some very simple step in setting up the sections. Any further thoughts or insights would be most appreciated. (I think I mentioned that this is a book authored by my wife and I simply want page 1 to begin where the book begins).

I recently purchased a new labtop a few weeks ago and it came installed with windows 8. I updated the next day to windows 8.1. I then installed itunes and my iPod 5th generation and iPhone 5 were working fine. I then updated to the latest itunes. When I plugged my iPod in, I received a message that my iPod was detected on windows but could not be identified properly. The same thing applies to my iPhone 5. TS1436 I have Windows 8 and the latest iTunes software. Whenever I try to burn a CD, I get error code 4310. I have never had an issue with iTunes before. I need help.

I have tried to burn playlists on to multiple CDs and every time it gives me this error code (4310). This is a mjor setback. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to burn discs.

I don't have a lot of info to work with, but I'm guessing that you're on a Mac, that you're trying to install Flash Player, and that you're getting a username and password dialog box from the operating system that's asking for your permission to continue with the installation.
