I updated to 7.1 and now when I plug my phone into the computer, it says there are no pictures?????? When I have 500 pictures on it!!!!! Im soooooo mad I did the update! Worst decision ever!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOOO ready to leave the IPHONE alone- maybe throw it in the river or lay it on the train tracks. Its been NOTHING BUT TROUBLE since the update!
Just to be clear: Tap on the Photos app to start the app. Then tap on Albums at the bottom of the screen. You might have several albums but only one is named "Camera Roll." Are there photos in that album?
If there are NO photos in the Camera Roll album there are no pictures to import. The remaining albums might have come from a sync with your computer or they might be your PhotoStream.
If there ARE photos in the Camera Roll album, connect your iPhone to your computer and start your camera application on the computer. Your phone should be recognized as a camera.

I downloaded the new version of itunes and when i plug my phone into the computer and try and do something in itunes it wont let me because my device is synced to another itunes library. how do i get my old itunes back? or how can i sync my stuff into the new itunes with out deleting anything off my phone? HELP
Copy the iTunes folder from the old computer to your new one.

I've seen this happen when the phone was encrypted... Other than calling apple/deleting passcodes I don't know of any solution.
If you're keen on waiting, upload your photos to dropbox, that's the way I do it. -

When i plug my Iphone into itunes, it tells me it cannot read the contents of my device and i must reset it, so i did. I had to o this a few months back and it gave me the option to keep my pictures etc. This time all my pictures and everything got erased, and to top it all off when i plug it back in it tells me it cannot read my device again and i need to reset again. Worked for an iPad 4 (Retina) running iOS 7.0.3. connected to a Mac (Mavericks, iTunes 11.1.2). Although the file system is a bit different than what is shown on the video, the basic same steps can be carried out: download iFunbox (for Mac, obviously), go into "Raw file system", then "iTunes_Control" (you may want to switch to list view to see the complete name), then iTunes. There there was no iTunesDB file but I deleted iTunesCDB (was 0kB, expect that might have been the problem) and iTunesControl (0kB as well). Also deleted the Music folder in the previous directory.
After that I disconnected the iPad from iTunes, quit iTunes, relaunched, and it started sync'ing :-)
Note that now it's telling me that it cannot sync because an additional 10GB is required! Not sure what the problem is because the bar at the bottom of the iTunes window says it still has another 4GB available. I'm expecting there's a problem with how the size of the music is calculated (perhaps because I also sync Genius playlists and mixes), so I disabled music sync'ing for now so it can complete it once. Then I'll hand-pick the music again and hope it works! -

Recently Apple replaced the hard drive on Mac running Yosmite 10.10.2 and now when i try to rn FaceTime, the computer says "no camera available". Does anyone no how to fix this?
Assuming there is no hardware problem try reinstalling Yosemite. If this does not work then take it back to the Apple Store.

Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Download the free app My Contacts Backup and use it to back up the contacts on your device now (it will back them up as an attachment to an email that you send to yourself). Then restore your device to your most recent backup to see if it will recover your contacts. If not, if necessary you can open the email and tap the attachment to re-import the contacts you have now back to your device.
If you need to restore to an iCloud backup this has to be done in the initial setup process, which requires you to first erase your device. If you have any more recent data on your device now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens on your device, and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish. -
When i plugged my ipod into the computer it started to make buzzing and screeching noises. It became hot so i removed it and then the screen froze while it continued to make these noises. I have never had anything like this happen. (never gotten it wet or had it exposed to extreme temperatures) It is also unresponsive to any buttons on the ipod and it didn't show up when i plugged it into my computer. What do I do? Also if it is unfixable could i get a free one from apple?

Well plug it in again, and then hold the "Lock" and "Home" button at the same time for about 10 seconds. See if that helps.
