Is System Restore the only way to sort out the 11.1.4 install problem?
After everything else, went for system restore to get 11.1.3 back. Apple owe me two hours of my life!
Thanks but unfortunately I don't have that option (I'm im Australia) so this will be day 8 that apple have my money without authorisation. The amount has now increased due to the transactions that were pending prior to me cancelling my credit card. The total is now over $300 including the overdrawn fee. It is beyond comprehension that a company the size of apple doesn't have a *real* customer service dept that handle these types of *real* problems immediately via phone contact but I guess that's the point isn't it? If we want to use the apps they provide thru their services and devices we have no choice but to put up with their primitive third world service. I sent them an email via the link you provided 4 days ago. There is no excuse for me to be STILL waiting for this problem to be resolved - none whatsoever, it is disgusting. Thanks for responding I had a feeling that was the only way to get this resolved, only it is so unbelievable I had to make sure.

Pressing the Home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button together until you see the Apple logo and then release is called a reset.

Yep. For all us spreadsheet geeks, this is a real sinker. Anyway, here's my workaround. Not free, unfortunately. I have a macro program called QuicKeys installed on my Mac that I've used for countless years, and which I highly recommend for other reasons. Anyway, one of QuicKeys' many features is simulating a scroll wheel using the keyboard. I have it simulating a cell-by-cell scroll using cmd-arrow keys. The only drawback is that I have to release the cmd key each time I want to move another cell.

The round button that allows me to get out of an app or to move or delete an app has stopped working. Once I am in an app, the only way to get out of it is to power off my ipod completely. Help!

From time to time the display on any open application zooms in and enlarges to an enormous degree. The only way to get out of this is to reset. What can I do to avoid this?
Go into: Settings>General>Accessibility and make sure zoom is turned off. You can double tap with THREE fingers to turn zoom off as well, rather than performing a reset.

The issue usually occurs when computer goes into the screensaver mode. When this happens, none of the keys are opperable and the round wheel/ball just continues to spin. The only resolve is to manually shut down the computer witht the button on back of the monitor/hard drive. Not sure if this is bad for the computer to shut down this way or not.

Time since boot: 24 minutesI starting having this "colored spinning wheel" problem too! It started about two weeks ago and like the others, every time I go into my Yahoo mail, I get the spinning-wheel and the only way out is to "X" out of the site. Sometimes I can make it through a few notes, other times the problem starts as soon as I click on the first note. I searched google a few days ago and saw a response to this problem that said I should "uncheck" the 3 items in the "Auto-fill" preferences in Safari (Safari-Preferences-Autofill) and that should help. It did not. I also went in and deleted cookies, cache and history, but that didn't work either, or if it did, it only took a few clicks to experience the problem again. One of the times I went in to delete cookies I noticed over 100 cookies and other website data stored and I had only been on perhaps 2 or 3 sites (CNN, google and yahoo and perhaps Apple), and I never click on the adds. Don't know if there's any significance to this but I thought that was an awful lot of "cookies" for just a few clicks after previously deleting cookies. Also, I believe I have the latest version of Yahoo mail. I actually have 2 Yahoo accounts and the spinning wheel is a problem with both of them, same for my wife. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi I'm Zeina Halim. I have an iPad 4 and I forgot its password. So I kept trying over and over again till it said iPad is disabled connect to iTunes. One problem I've never synced my iPad and apple is telling me the only way to reset the password is to erase all data from the iPad. So I'm asking is there another solution or can I atleast import the photos on some device before I erase it. Pls answer fast because I REALLY need to use it. Thank you

Ran Stellar defrag from a bootable CD. It was a successful defrag but when I tried to quit the program, it wouldn't respond. I finally had to manually turn off the mini. Now the mini won't restart...it attempts to for several minutes & then the stop icon displays. I have tried holding down the option key during restart & selecting the hard drive but get the same results. The Stellar people tell me it is a Mac issue. Help!
Does it boot from the Restore Partition?
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS. -
On some sites I get a pop up window asking if I am sure I want to leave the site. The only option is to click on the pop up, nothing else works you cannot use back or even shutdown FF. I have to shut down with task manager, but when I restart FF it goes back to the locked up page.
If you want to change how Firefox starts up after a crash, you have the option to have Firefox show a list of windows and tabs. Then you can deselect the tab you do not want opened again. Here's how to change the setting:
(A) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(B) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''sess''' and pause while the list is filtered
(C) Double-click the '''browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes''' preference and enter 0 (that's a zero) and click OK.
Note: Please don't customize any other sessionstore preferences to zero, or you might lose the ability to recover your closed windows and tabs. -

Nope, AirPorts cannot be configured through a web browser. You have to use AirPort Utility.
Windows computers can also use AirPort Utility. You just have to install it. You can use the CD that came with your AirPort, or you can download AirPort Utility from the Apple website.
As for "advanced admin settings," try Manual Setup. -

Sadly, it's something you'll have to do by hand. The Tables
-> CSS conversion is pretty painless but I've never seen it work
the other way properly. You're best to just copy and paste the
content into tables.
It's too bad that your client needs it CSS free, tables are a
horrible way to deliver content but ... if the man signing the
check needs it done that way ... :( -
I cannot find any obvious restrictions on the computer. In the Control Panel under Set Program Access and Defaults, Enable Access to This Program is checked.

I am creating a website using i-web. When I add pages, they appear at the top of the webpage, but I cannot navigate to each page in the navigation bar. I can only navigate in the menu bar located on the left side of the program.
How do I navigate thru the website?You don't unfortunately, iWeb though great does not allow that funtion.
If it is a deal breaker for you I would suggest SandVox or RapidWeaver.
