Label Printing issues on Crystal Reports Server

I built a label that prints off beautifully on my local machine with Crystal XI installed. However, when I post the label to the reports server, and a user tries to print it off, it prints off two blank labels behind each good label. I have racked my brain on this for days. The printer settings are identical to my local machine. Any idea what might be causing this?

I think the following information might help you
Symptom
A label report was viewed over the web using the Web Component Server, and printed on a label maker printer DYMO 330. The labels were being resized to 8 1/2 x 11 instead of printing the size of the label. Even after selecting the correct size, the labels print one per page, followed by 3 blank labels.
When printing was done through a distributed report or the report designer, the labels printed to the correct size and only printed one label with no blank labels.
What is causing the label report to print incorrectly when printed from the web viewer?
Resolution
Steps to Resolve
1. Open the report in the Crystal Reports 8 designer on the web server.
2. Click on 'File' then click 'Printer Setup'. If a printer is already selected then set it to 'No Printer', click 'OK', then save the report.
3. Click on 'File' then click 'Printer Setup' again. Select the default printer and clear the 'Default Properties' checkbox.
4. Click 'OK' and save the report.
5. Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel > Services and double click 'Seagate Page Server' service. Set this service to run under an 'Administrator' account.
6. Stop and restart the service, and close down all browsers.
The label reports now will print successfully over the web.
Background
Incorrect printing from a web viewer can have several causes, including:
· The report is designed with a designated printer, but the encapsulated page format (EPF) files are being created in 'No Printer' mode.
· The server does not have access to the printer.
· A valid printer is not saved with the report on the server.
· The printer driver is not installed on the server.

Hi,
I have a .Net application that uses Crystal Reports Server. The application runs from two servers through load balancing and one of them hosts RAS(Report Application Server) component as well. The issue I am facing is that the server that does not host RAS gives a timeout error periodically when reports are run, inspite of RAS running fine in the other server.
Can anyone let me know if this problem has been identified before?

Direct Print Issue IN Crystal reports IN IE(8,9,10)

I am an software developer using Dot Net and I am facing an issue in direct print in crystal report viewer in IE and i tried many setting.

Dell is absolutely correct. However there is an issue with the CAB file for 'Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008' (v. 10.5). The issue is documented in KBA: 2000455 - Unable to download the CR 10.5 PrintControl cab file. The KBA has not been yet replicated to SCN, so here is a copy of the content:

When attempting to download the PrintControl.cab file the following errors are displayed:
A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"
The Web Server man be down, too busy or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests.

Issue Regarding Cyrstal Report Server 2008

Hi,
I've found some issue using crystal report server 2008 V1. The followings are my information for your reference.
Could you kindly please let me know what you can help.
-              My client has bought crystal report server 2008 V1 and deploy on the production server (window server 2008).
-              We've developed the crystal report with command object.
-              When we tested on printing report with 2 or 3 login user, report is successfully come out.
-              When concurrent users to print the same report are about 100 or 200, then we faced Load Report Failed error.
-              I've found that the Server Intelligence Agent service is stopped.
-              When installing crystal report server, we've used the same database with our application to install report server's database connection.
My questions are,
                1. Cyrstal Report Server 2008 V1 can handle how many concurrent users?
                2. Is crystal report can run without running Server Intelligence Agent service?
                   Or this service is stopped because of too many concurrent user printing crystal report?
                3. What is your suggestion on the Load Report Failed when too many access to print report?

Out of the box, the Crystal Report Server only comes with 5 named user license. So hitting it with 100+ users would result in all kinds of issues. I'm actually surprised you can hit it with anywhere close to 100 users. In order for you to be able to get to the high number of hits required, you will have to obtain more licenses. These are available in 5 concurrent user packs and you can add up to 4 of these packs. Any more than that, you're lookign at BO Enterprise.

Crystal Report server 2008 Printing

Hi,
When a report is displayed on the screen (preview), I click on the Printer Icon, a Crystal Viewer message box is displayed, indicating that it needs to export to PDF first and use the printer from Adobe reader to print.
Is this new in Crystal Report server 2008?

Using [Fiddler|http://www.fiddlertool.com/fiddler/] on the client web browser machine will give you a clearer idea of what's amiss on the server.
It's a starting point for tracing back to what's missing or being denied on the server.
Following that, [Process Monitor|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx] on the server is useful for hunting for missing components or permissions issues.

Crystal Report Server 2008 SP1 redistributable printing problems

I'm trying to print from a asp .net form after recently installing the Crystal Report Server 2008 SP1 redistributable.
When I click on the print button it brings up a empty messagebox with 'csprintdlg' in the title in IE7.
My installation on the Windows2003 is slighty different since my Inetpub\wwwroot folder is located on the D: drive.
The previous installer, included the aspnet_client\system_web\2_0_50727\crystalreportviewers12
on the C: drive but this one did not. I copied the folder from another server with just the initial version of the redistributable, everything works except printing.

Crystal report server 10 license troubleshooting issue

I got the following errors on my crystal report server 10 these few days and the number of errors increase.
I found that the crystal license will be used by alot of system connections when the licenses runs out.
Currently we have 18 concurrent crystal licenses.
However, the timing of these errors varies to the time of the crystal license 1 or 2 hours before.
1. Invalid printer specified.
2. Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters.
3. Object could not be scheduled
Is there a correlation between these crystal report errors with system connections and licenses run out issue?
Is there any tool for me to troubleshoot this crystal license issue?
I am using crystal enterprise 10 report server together with a few cluster report servers.

You need to go to https://websmp203.sap-ag.de/support and sign-up. You will be asked to fill in your installation or partner number (if applicable). Depending on this you will get access. I'm not sure if you a charged. Creating an OSS note should be covered as part of the 'standard' support contract.

Crystal Report Server 2008 Import Issues - Missing report schedules/history

Hello all,
I have recently on a test machine installed Crystal Report Server 2008 V0. I then created several test reports and put them on the server and created schedules and a history for each one.
Once this was done I exported the information into a BIAR file. Uninstalled CR Server 2008 V0 and installed CR Server 2008 V1 SP3.
I then imported this BIAR file. After the import my reports are there, but all schedules and history are lost? Is there a way around this? How can I ensure all schedules are brought over in the import?

You have been able to solve my issue, thank you! In following the instructions I didn't notice the "Import all instances" tick box, I simply assumed hitting select all would work and glazed right over it. So this was certainly user error on my part.

2) which approach to follow for reports to support 20 concurrent users creating/updating reports
and also to support over 100 users viewing/generating reports from VB.Net front end?
such as crystal report viewer model, report document model, info view model, crystal RAS. We will have Crystal Report Server XI, SQLserver 2005. These reports are yet to be developed.
3) And also allow users to approve reports before general distribution and ability to automate report generation and deliver reports via email from VB.Net front end?
I have worked on Crystal designer as well as on integrating report Visual Basic. I am new to above requirements.Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Crystal Report Server 2008 error

Iu2019m having some issues with the Crystal Report Server 2008.
I have reports scheduled that have parameters, when I want to change the parameters is giving me the following error.

Print Preview using crystal report in SAP B1 slow.

Dear all,
I face another problem. Print preview using crystal report in SAP B1 is very slow. Although i have create a query view in SQL server but it's still slow for my user. First time i create using table in crystal report. just drag the table. It's take more than 10 minutes. After that i move all the query to view in SQL server , it's take 1-2 minutes to print preview some time more.. But i think that it's still slow. Does any one know how to print preview fast. Just like in PLD.

Crystal Reports Server XI R2 - RAS service will not start

We had a copy of Crystal Reports Server XI R2 running on a Windows 2003 SBS Server and the database running on SQL Server 2000 on the same box. We were forced to upgrade this server Windows 2003 SBS Server 2003 R2 with SQL Server 2005. The upgrade worked fine however after the upgrade we could no longer open reports in infoview.
We soon realised that the RAS(Report Application Server) service was stopped however we could not start it.
We tried doing a full uninstall(deleting the directory and registry info) and reinstall several times on the same server pointing to the existing database and trying to create a new database in both MYSql and SQL Server but again the same problem. While our licensing agreement means we can only install it on one server we tried on another and again we had the same issue.
We see several errors in the event viewer of the server, these are:
-Unable to create the Corba OSCA factory and register it on the eBus (Source:BusinessObjects_crystalras)
-Failed to register with the CMS 'Server Name'. Please make sure the CMS is up and running. Attempting an automatic retry. (Source: We see this error show on a fair few of the service after stopping and firing up services, but they seem to disappear)
-An error occurred while creating a Page Server subprocess.(Source: BusinessObjects_pageserver)
If I try firing the crystalras executable just for interest sakes I get a "No valid license found for this product" error.
We thought it may have been a license issue caused by the upgrade but have been told that the license key still appears to be valid.
Any help is appreciated.

You received your permanent key in respect of these licenses - the key is for Crystal Reports Server XI.
You did not purchase these licenses for Crystal Reports Server, but purchased it for Crystal Reports and a 5-named user license for Crystal Reports was included as a special offer. The software included was version XIR2, but you elected to use version XI instead and received key .
You would need to enroll the licenses in maintenance if you want to upgrade them.
In case of any queries please create a ticket via the Service Market Place.

Moreover, there are two ways for Crystal Report customer to get support.

The other is customer with only Crystal report product, the support is via SDN.

I am raising this concern on behalf on Taxmantra project (Tata Consultancy Services noida).
We have bought licensed Crystal Reports Server 11 near by 2006.We are trying to install the crystal server but while installing ,we have encountered with an error message that:-
"The product key code you have entered is incorrect"

By design, the product is not able to be installed under the superuser account.
1. Create a new user and specify a home directory for the user without a quota set.
2. Copy or move the installation files to a directory that the new user can read. I suggest you move the installation files directly into the new user's home directory.
3. Logon as the new user (or su - newuser)
4. run the installation shell script using that new user's account.
NOTE: Ensure the system meets the requirements from the supported platforms documents.
