My library is gone after following apple support's advice to correct error 13019 during synch
Selected ipod under devices, clicked music tab to deselect synchmusic option, clicked apply then sync, wiateedd until synch was complete, re-selected the sync music option, clicked apply then synch. Then lost my whole library of 529 songs including 170 + purchsed from ipod because synch error still came up. Very frustrated. Any way around this?
Don't know what changed today but it downloaded and installed on the shuffle. So far so good.

I have followed the Apple Support Section Article HT 4527 and have moved itunes media onto an external Hard Drive. The complete file is 103GB in size.
I have downloaded the latest itunes onto my new PC.
When I follow the article and try moving the itunes file onto the new PC, I am informed that there is insufficient space on my new PC.
In any case, like my old system, I want to leave my music on the external HDD and just have the music library displayed in itunes when I click on the "Music" folder.
How can I get itunes on the new computer to interogate my external HDD to just list the library and leave the music on the external HDD?you can do this by keeping the external hard drive connected and doing the following
-hold shift key down on computer while opening iTunes and a prompt will appear to choose a library
-select choose library, iTunes should bring up your explorer windows where you can search for the external HD
-after you find the external HD find the iTunes folder you just copied to it
-after opening the iTunes folder look for the file that says iTunes library.itl or if you can't see that extenstion just look for a document looking thing in the iTunes folder that shows up as a database file
-double click the database file and boom iTunes should load your library without having to copy it to the computer
PS: do make sure that if you are going to do it this way, make sure that the external HD is connected at all times, because if you don't then you will get exclamation marks next to your iTunes songs
double PS: if you are unsure how to find out if the iTunes library file is a database file just right click it and choose properties and under the type it should say database file

Wifi connection slow after streaming, Apple support couldn't help
I have since quite a while problems with my internet connection. I tried it in several countries, but always the same: As soon as I stream something or open to many browser tabs, my wifi-connection becomes terrible and stays terrible. It's definitly dependent on how I use the internet. If I open 3 youtube videos or the top10 Google search results, my wifi connection becomes bad. My Speed drops to lower than 1Mbit, but lots of timeouts. After a while it works again.
What I already tried:
-Reinstalling MacOS
-Installing windows (same problems with windows)
-Resetting SCM
-creating new wifi environments
-putting MTU to 1453
-clear DHCP
-deleting some files in the library for resetting connections
-clearing browser cache
-testing with Safari and Chrome
-disableing bluetooth
Now I bought a CSL Wlan Stick but there are not mac drivers out there and I don't have a CD-Drive for installing the drivers.
What can I do?The only possible way that you can restore the data is by restoring the iPad from a backup. Did you restore from a backup at the end of the restoring process?
Why was Apple support not able to help? Is the backup gone? -
I just got this phone about 2 weeks ago. I was prompted to do an update and did it... then my phone showed the image of the wire to the itunes symbol... so it's in recovery mode. I have been working on this for hours! I read tons of apple support procedures and followed them to the letter.... HT1414, TS3125, TS1538 etc.
I uninstalled my itunes, quicktime... all the apple products like the instructions said. I reloaded everything and rechecked to make sure it was good. Driver is showing up good with no problems.
I would totally be fine with restoring it to the original settings... I've only had it for 2 weeks! But itunes won't even recognize the phone so I can't even hit the restore button. This is so frustrating. I am running windows 7... and I ran all updates like the apple support instructions said. I checked updates with Norton. All good. I did all the windows & norton updates before I uninstalled and reinstalled apple products. If I could only get itunes to even recognize the phone.
The phone is not jailbroken... it was fresh from the factory... then that update!
Please help. I am without a phone.I may have fixed the issue. The errors in device manager were a driver error apparently windows didnt have appropriate drivers installed to allow itunes to recognize a device in recovery mode. I followed the paths in the guide above in more detail using this path ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538 under if device not recognized while in recovery mode) to alleviate the issue update is now installing appropriately ( i hope).

Followed Apple Tech chat advice...now, where is my music?
I have the last updated version of iTunes 8. Recently, I had been getting an occasional message telling me that I was not having my iTunes Library updated and saved. I have over 28,000 songs in my library using 102.10 GB of space.
So, I went out and bought an external hard drive of 1 TB of space. Then got apple support chat and they sent me a link which explained how to "Back-up your iTunes Library by coping to an external hard drive." During Step 1, Part 5 it asks me to "consolidate my library, this can not be undone" and then the directions say "click consolidate." which I did. After the progress bar was finished, I immediately notice a lot of "!" showing up next to my songs. When I click the "!" I get a message which says "The song "whatever title" could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" and then when I click that it opens up a list of files on my c drive.
This exclamation point is next to about half or more of my iTunes Library so that is at least 14,000 songs or more. All songs played fine before these directions from the Apple Rep. What is going on and how is it easily fixed?

By default itunes thinks the music files are stored in the itunes folder on the hard drive one needs to tell itunes to look for the library in the new location.
All the other files relating to itunes except the actual music files should be kept in the itunes folder on the hard drive or else itunes won't work properly. -
After folling the instructions to clear a -50 error and deleted the .tmp file, I now am getting a -120 error. I can't find instructions to clear this...What next?

It seems a lot of people are having this problem...you can try restarting your device, making sure Date & Time settings are on automatic, or changing your DNS to 8.8.8.8. However, most people posting about this problem have tried everything including data resets, restores, etc. and it doesn't seem to work. It seems to be an issue on Apple's end with the servers...hopefully they can resolve it quickly

All of my pictures from my iPhoto library are gone after upgrading to Mavericks
I just upgraded to Os X Mavericks and now all of my pictures are gone from my iPhoto library, and of course I am unable to access this version of iPhoto on OS X Mavericks.
I tried to find them using a different application or in Finder, and in both cases "iPhoto Library" is in Gray and no contents are available. My system memory doesn't seem to be reflecting the number of photos I have either.
If I go back to my old operating system will it work? If not, I have lost all my pictures since February of 2011. I have been crying nonstop for an hour trying to figure out what to do.Open the App Store and upgrade iPhoto to the Mavericks version. Installing OS X does not do anything to your iPhoto Library.
The iWork apps are free with a new iOS device since 1 SEP 2013. They are free with a new Mac since 1 OCT 2013. They are also free with the upgrade to OS X Mavericks 10.9 if you had the previous version installed when you upgraded. -
Please help my library is gone after recent update
The automatic update was installed, and now there is NOTHING in the library. What did I do, and more importantly, what do I do now? I tried to drad the My music files into itunes, but nothing happened. I got some strange thing about damaged files. HELP me,please!!!!
Thanks - that's a bit helpful, but it's still rather a pain, especially for music that you didn't purchase via iTunes.
I was able to restore those using the "transfer purchases" feature. But I still have about 600 songs that I didn't purchase from iTunes Store ... problem is, following this suggestion will be slow and tedious, because I have to figure out which songs are not in the iTunes Library and then re-import them.
(As I've mentioned in other threads up at the top here, the third-party options, like iPodRip and Music Rescue, aren't working at all for me.) -
Help! Library totally gone after update!
Something wierd happened, I updated Itunes recently and nothing seemed wrong, until I went to sync my ipod. It said: this ipod is synced to a different library. So I clicked on my music in the windows start menu and there was nothing there. So then I went and did a search, and found my old my music folder in the recycle bin. If I were to copy my old one in place of the new one would it automatically update my library or do I have to import all my music and stuff again?
well I just imported the whole folder into my library and everything seems good!

Because Adobe updater kept failing after a week, I uninstalled and reinstalled latest version (permission msi errors caused this). Now, even tho' profile shows acrobat and all adobe products enabled for FF, I can no longer view pdf docs in browser. Completed each step in the FF help guide for deleting files in profile, reinstalling adobe, etc., but it still doesn't work. Running Vista x64
The problem was NVIDIA ForceWare Network Access Manager. That came loaded on the Sun Server we are using for ACS. I found references to it in the even logs and not being a Windows Server person I had to grab someone who was and to be honest even they didn't get it. I started uninstalling any virus and security S/W one at the request of the TAC and removing NVIDIA Forceware did it.
