My weather app in my iphone4 is suddenly using another location than mine, one from another state. Tried resetting my location, but no go.
The factory installed weather app on my iphone suddenly has started using another state as my location. I tried resetting my location several times, but no go. Any ideas how to fix this?

You did purchase your unlocked iPhone4S from an Apple Retail store and I mean the Apple Store no where else sells unlocked iPhones in the UK regardless of their claims

i cant download apps throgh wifi on my iphone however when i connect to cellular data it starts downloading. then what is wrong over wifi , i tried reset network setting but i didnt help
Definitely sounds like an issue with your Wi-Fi network. Do any other devices on the network have similar issues? Is it an issue only with downloading apps? You can check by trying to load a website in Safari.
I would try turning your Wi-Fi router off for 1 minute, and back on again.
After doing that, disconnect and re-join the Wi-Fi network on your iPhone and try downloading an app again. -
My iPhone apps wouldn't open they just blink for a second and the home screen comes back again...i tried installing a free app from the AppStore but it didn't work and also tried resetting the iPhone but ddnt work as well please help what do i do??
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

I want to reply to e-mail in my own handwriting.
I am not thinking of Handwriting Conversion or Notes apps.
Exchange client to be used to reply to emails - one approach is to sketch/free-writing in composer window

send the captured free-flow from another app as an image and attach it inline as image.
Is it possible to do this - or there would be some restrictions?
If it is possible, what would be the best approach?There are some third-party apps that feature handwriting capture, including a couple that have writing-to-text conversion, but I know of no email app that allows handwriting, so you would have to use an app that saves the handwriting as an image and allows that document to be emailed. Search the App Store for "handwriting" and you may find such an app.
As to restrictions, the only restriction I can think of, assuming the app in question does indeed allow a document to be emailed, would be the size of the attachment vis-a-vis any limited placed on message size by your email provider or that of the recipient.

Safari working fine, as are game apps that require internet connection.
I can not get AppStore, YouTube app, Facebook app or twitter app to load anything as 'network service error" comes up.
I have the latest update 7.2 and have tried resetting network settings, anyone else have this problem?! How do I fix it?I did try that one. But for some reason it still does not help. The strange thing stays that I can acces Twitter and other Apps. But still nos Safari/App Store. Only when I am on Wi-Fi.

When ever you purchase anything on the app store it is assigned to the apple id it was downloaded with, this means any updates on that app, also have to be updated with that apple id.
If you are using multiple apple ids, each app will need to be updated using that specific apple id that it was purchased (free or not) with. -

I had the same problem as well as problem signing in to both iMessage and Facetime (didn't want to activate my apple id).
I solved it by...
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer, and the most recent version of iOS installed on your phone.
Connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable. Click the File menu in iTunes, then select Devices > Back Up, and click on Back Up Now.
To make sure the backup is complete, open the iTunes Preferences menu and click on the Devices tab. The name of your phone and the time of backup should appear. Once verified, disconnect the phone from your computer.
Once you’re all backed up, turn on your new phone and complete the setup assistant. When you reach the screen that says Set Up iPhone, choose “Restore from iTunes Backup” and select the backup of your old phone you wish to use.
Connect your new phone to iTunes, select the backup of your old phone, and click Continue.
Wait until your phone has been fully restored before you use it. It will restart when ready.
Keep your phone connected to iTunes to sync any data that wasn’t stored in your backup (like apps, music and video). You can check which data is synced through the syncing tabs in iTunes.
Once backed up, you will still need to provide passwords for your email and voicemail, along with other synced accounts.
Took about an hour all in all but managed to keep everything including camera roll and messages etc.

I have tried resetting, following instructions on Apple support.
2 amber lights are showing, saying no internet, and no dns servers.
On the same network I have direct link to TV, working fine.
The TC does not seem to be able to pick up IP address even though directly connected with Ethernet cable.
I'd appreciate any help possible.So what kind of modem is it.. is it cable.. if so you need to power it down and leave it off for 30min or so .. maybe shorter or longer depending on the ISP.
Do a full factory reset on the TC.
The Factory Reset TC Gen1-4. Or AE Gen1-5
Unplug your TC/AE. Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
Plug into the TC by ethernet from computer and setup as router .. ie dhcp and nat.. if it fails please give info on the firmware of the TC and the actual modem model number. -

Ask the seller or call Apple Care and give them the serial number. They may be able to tell you.

Weather App Affecting my Data Usage

Back in October 2013 when I changed my IPhone from a 4S to a 5S I had to go from an “Unlimited” plan to Tiered plan. I went to a tiered planned capped at 2 GB per billing cycle. This didn’t bother me because I would never use all of my allocated data and I usually came in way under 2gb’s
Under my new plan, I set up my data alerts to monitor my usage. This past week on tuesday, I was notified that my usage was at 75% of the data allowed. I immediately called VZW to ask how and the tech said that my phone had streamed for an inordinate amount of time around 18 hours while using a app, on the days where my usage was high. The tech was unable to tell me which app, but advised me to take it into the store immediately.
I took my phone into the store and luckily the manager had the same issue on his IPad. He replaced the Sim Card and reset the settings on my phone and credited my account $20 to pay for the extra usage. Really great customer service!!!
Monitoring my data usage, I noticed that my phone would incrementally use the data plan even while on my wifi. It would only do it in 8 hour increments, I was led to a previous post via Google (on the apple forums) and I found that the culprit may that I had set up my phone to automatically send diagnostic data.
I shut this feature off, being nosy I looked at the data that was being sent and noticed two odd diagnostic reports titled: Weather_2013_11.08_17:55 and Weather +Stacks 11/10 20:37:47.
The latter (Weather +Stacks 11/10 20:37:47.) diagnostic report I can only assume was informing me that the weather app stayed opened beyond its allocated time. Which prevented the phone from sleeping so it the OS finally crashed the crashed the program.
Also I assume that the report was informing me that informed me in the app it had stayed connected to the weather server for 66,447 seconds, which is about 18.45 hours and used 1147387904 bytes of data or just over 1 GB of usage….
Now I’m not saying that these separate instances are related, but the interesting thing 11/10 I was shown according to VZW that I had amassed 66.51 MB’s.
I am wondering if anyone else has seen this correlation. I have attached screenshots to clarify any confusing parts of the story. there are three pics, so scroll all the way downSettings > Cellular only counts cellular data. I can verify that because I'm on AT&T and that carrier offers a service whereby you can telephone *DATA and receive a text message from them telling your month-to-date cellular data usage. I can compare that number to what I see in Settings > Cellular and the two are pretty well equivalent.
Again, I do a Settings > Cellular > Reset Statistics at the end of every billing month.
UPDATE - I said "month-to-date cellular data usage" above. I should have said "billing period to date."
