How can I make StarOffice to open ONLY one window in the task bar when opening several documents? Thanks

It would help to know how you are scanning and the hardware used. There are just too many possibilities to answer your question as stated (if we even know the answer).

Is it possible to open several documents simultaneously in different windows in Adobe Digital Editions like Adobe Reader ?

As far as I know, it isn't.
You can run both ADE2.0 and ADE 1.7.2 at the same time, with different books open.
Also Sony Reader (free download intended for Sony eReader users, but works even without) will let you have a third book open.

There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0. Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

Open PDF documents only works on second time

Hallo,
When I want to open a PDF document in a navigation iView the first time only a white browser-page will be opened. When I close the empty window and open the document once again, the acrobat reader displays the document.
We are on NP 7.0 Stack 15 and IE 6.
Any idea?

Several pages only on one paper

Hi expert
In the print preview, there are several pages displayed, but when I try to print on the paper, all the pages are printed only on one paper and it leads to overlap. It looks ugly. Anyone can help me with that, thank you very much. By the way I use smartform.

If your problem was with Adobe forms, i would recommend you to check the subforms content to be flowed. But this is not likely in this forum, right? Good luck ,Otto

Imposed document only prints one copy at a time

Printing a 100 page 25 sheet imposed 8.5 x 14 Acrobat document is limited to only one copy. At the end of the first copy printing; printer stops and requests letter-size paper, for drawer one,
printer default is set for 8.5 x 14 and first print ran from drawer 2.
Older CS 2 imposed files, imposed by Lowly Apprentice, still print multiple copies on HP 4200 duplex.
OS 10.5.8 iMac duo core intel.
ID CS5 book > flight test clear > .pdf > open with Acrobat 9.3.2 > impose with Quite Imposing > save imposed pdf > prints only one at a time
then printer stops and asks for different paper in different drawer.

I'm glad your back in production. As for the issue you're having with the printer you'll have to contact HP or Adobe.
Quite Imposing Plus doesn't Print, it just imposes the PDF pages and Acrobat is the Printer.
I'll send this off to Engineering to see if they have any other thought why it might be doing this. However, if all the pages are the same size and the orientation is the same, I've never heard of Acrobat and HP not printing correctly.

Why does FireFox truncate part of an E-mail of more than one page when I try to print it out? How can I sent an E-mail blaet to several but only show one name o

When I try to print out an E-mail that is longer than one page, part of the 2nd page is truncated. I then have to go to Safari to print out the entire E-mail without part of it being truncated.
When I have multiple E-mail addresses on a single E-mail, how can I send the E-mail so that each recipient only sees his/her name and E-mail address rather than everyone else that the E-mail is addressed to?

Some style rules that Firefox handles well on the screen can cause this problem. Many email sites have a print button which simplifies the message format and removes navigation elements, etc., and Firefox generally handles print-formatted pages better. If your email site doesn't have print-formatted pages or those do not print, a "hack" is to select the text you want to print and then choose the Selection option in the print dialog.
To hide email addresses from recipients, you need to place them in the BCC field. What do you put in the TO field in that case? You can use your own address.

QT Pro "Open Image Sequence" only grabs one image

QuickTime Pro:
When I try to "Open Image Sequence" on a set of .png images, I don't get the request for a frame rate, and it only opens the first image.
(Actually, the frame rate request window may be flashing by quickly.)
I have the image files numbered sequentially.
Any ideas appreciated. On my previous laptop it worked fine !

Your problem is rather strange, I have not had this problem myself. I open sequences all the time with no hassles. I just tested it now with .png files which you've used, no issue. I'm on QT 7.4.1.
I've also just updated to 7.4.5 on another Mac (G4, OSX 10.4.11), and it works fine. Have you asked around to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue?
If it was easy enough to down grade to 7.2, perhaps you could try re-installing QT 7.4. If it doesn't work, just go back to 7.2. Though... I don't want to be the blame for your loss of another Pro code!!

Reverse ASKBN Documents only for one Area

Hello dear friends.
Due to a problem at Exit ZXAPCU05, asset purchases were improperly loaded into an area of evaluation "X" for cost control assigned as well. When I run the t-code ASKBN, launch were registered in this area and this is wrong.
The wrong accounts are: Account Group: Reconciliation for Account Type: Asset. The releases were made with launch key 70.
The question is: how to reverse only these releases? We can make by FB08 transaction? I think to do that by transaction AB08, but it will reverse to all areas. I need to reverse only these acconting documents.
Please, help me. I appreciate your attention.

Try this first in test system and then production
Create a new transaction type by copying 100 at AO73 and select credit transaction radio button instead of debit transaction and save it as z99....
Go to AO73 again and click on "Limit Transaction Types to Depreciation Areas" and select your newly created transaction type and click on depreciation area specification(left side) and select both check boxes of you area and uncheck remaining areas
Go to AB08 and enter your asset and company code and select dynamic selections Icon and go to general information and double click transaction type and enter newly created transaction type as above and click save .Select the document and reverse.

Messages open several tabs in Thunderbird, one for each step in the mail exchange

A friend has a new PC with Windows 8.
If a message is a reply, when opening the message each step in the mail exchange will open in a different tab in Thunderbird.

Well, the question is that when I open a message in the Inbox, either by double clicking or by pressing Enter, if the message is a reply, i.e if there are more than one message "behind" the message I click to open, every step in the message history is open in a separat tab. Please see attachment

AVG says using too much memory because multiple firefox's are open but I only see one.

AVG scans regularly in background. Lately it has been showing a popup window that says multiple applications of Firefox are running and using too much memory so I should close some. But, I only can see 1. Tried CTRL ALT DEL to see if I could find answer, but only showed 1 firefox, and it was using over 28,000. So I think AVG is correct, but can't find out how to see what or where they are. They DO NOT show on the lower menu of the main screen, so I assume they are in the background. Don't have viruses, and Firefox regularly updates itself. What should I do to fix?

It's true you should only be able to run one instance of Firefox at a time. I searched but was unable to find anyone else with a similar issue. If the problem gets back to Firefox running slowly, you might check out this article for troubleshooting:

My Acrobat 8.1.3 shuts down seconds after opening any document or other activity.

I have a Dell XPS 8100 operating Windows 7 Home Premium. I haven't used the Acrobat for a while so am not sure when the problem began. But today, when I tried opening several documents (all, or one at a time), Acrobat would shut down within seconds. The same happens when I select any tab after opening Acrobat. I went through the repair both with and without the disc, rebooting each time, but the problem is still there. Suggestions?

That is really strange and not an expected behavior. Other than the reinstall, I don't really have other suggestions (wish I did). Sometimes when this kind of thing occurs, there is another product that is causing an issue. If you are runnin your AA8 on a 64-bit machine, that may be the issue. I have only heard of success 2 times for that combination, and I am not sure I believe the report in full.
If you decide to do the Reinstall, then the process is as follows: deactivate, uninstall, remove the Acrobat folder (if any of it is left), run the cleaner http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, reboot, install, activate, update. Typically all of the updates can be done and then reboot, rather than all the extra reboots.

You do not have the properties in the Bookmarks Manager (Library), but you should have it if you right-click a bookmark the Bookmarks Toolbar or in the bookmarks sidebar.
On Mac you probably do not have it if you right-click an item in the Bookmarks menu (this menu is under control of the Mac OS), but I assume that this should work if you click the "Show your bookmarks" button on the Navigation Toolbar that is next to the star to bookmark the current tab and right-click an item in the bookmarks list that opens.

Open Multiple Documents on Initialization

I'm using Javascript to open several documents for a PDF form I'm creating in Acrobat Pro.
I'd like to open these 4 additional PDF forms when the user opens the master PDF form so that I can display them when the user clicks a specific check box. I have tried opening them with the openDoc method in a function that runs when this document is initialized but I get the following error:
Security settings prevent access to this property or method.
What I'm trying to do is get these supplemental forms open in Reader and show them at the appropriate time. I would also like to prevent the user from closing the forms as they will contain required information if they click a checkbox corresponding to one of the supplemental forms. I was hoping to get a handle to each of the forms on document initialization so that I can prevent them from closing any of these supplemental forms.
Am I taking the best approach? If so, how can I accomplish this with Javascript? If not, what's the best method?

I've decided to try a different approach. I've consolidated all of the forms into one PDF file by inserting the other documents as separate pages into the master PDF file. This way, I can easily access the information from all of the forms without worrying about the need to disclose.
I'd like to be able to delete the pages that the user hasn't filled out and provide this in Acrobat Reader. I've used the Javascript deletePages() method but the documentation tells me that I need to enable forms rights for this functionality in Reader.
