PR workflow for item level release (stock and non-stock)

Hello gurus,
I am not getting the agents.!!
I am creating a workflow for pr( item level release)..and using standard wf WS00000038 for this, as the standard wf contains the simple release procedure  only but i have to add some custom steps to it, so i have copied this wf as custom wf .
In this wf i have to fetch the agents based on the "stock" and "non-stock items".
so i have maintained strategies and release code like:
i have maintained two strategies W1(non-stock) and W2(stock)..and release code for W1 are P1 and P2..here P1 i have given for my first level of approval and P2 for second level of approval.
The release code for W2 are P3 and P2..first level is P3 and second is P2.
so what i have did in a workflow , started with a condition step where i have given "releasecode = p1".. if yes than than it will go for getting approval from p1 , in this activity i am using  standard rule 157.
The main thing is  1). i am not getting how to fetch agents using standard rule. 2)and how and where to define next level of approval for both stock and non-stock.
means by using condition step in the starting i am dividing workflow in two parts stock and non stock but how to proceed next.
i am really confused. should i use rules or write my own methods. please if anybody has gone through the same scenario than please suggest some points. i will really appreciate the help.
Kind Regards.
Himanshu

Hello HIM Joshi !
Include the task TS00007986 and all its branches and  in a loop and loop around it for two times. When the loop goes for the first time, it should pick the first agent and during its second iteration, it should pick the second agent.
To accomplish so, In the same loop, but before the above task , include a background task which should populate the agent ids depending on stock and non-stock details and pass it to the the task  TS00007986
                   That's all.

  • STOCK AND NON STOCK ITEMS

    hi,
Here i want to know the difference between stock and non stock items.and give detail process flow for procuring both Non stock as well as stock items .

    Dear Harshad,
Stock Items are the item for which we maintain stock in the system normally at various level which means the stock quantity gets updated in the system based on the movement done for that item
For ex if we make GR for 100 Qty of X item then its stock qty  gets added into the system may be at plant /storage location level.Suppose out of this 100 nos if we issue 50 nos for production line then the stock at store reduces by 50 nos & added to production cost center by 50 nos.
Non stock material : NLAG: It stands for Non stock material
In customizing for basic setting in material type neither Qty update or Value update. No accounting data is maintained in Material master hence stock values are not updated. This material is procured only with account assignment.
In this case as soon as material is received Qty & value is posted to consumption account & statistic gets updated.
No updation of Qty or value takes place in Material master record.
For examle if we procure milk for canteen , its goes directly in canteen & stock of such items are not maintained
I hope this will clarify your concepts,
    Vivek

  • Stock and NON-Stock Items procurement

    Hi,
Please let me know why classic scenario cannot be used fpor Stock items and Extended classic can be used for both stock and non-stock items.
    What is the exact difference.
    Regards,
    Manu

    Hi Sanjeev,
    Thanks for the reply.
But if PR is transferred to SRM from MM and classic scenario is used and the resultant PO is created in MM then will transfer the PR with/without account assignment.
    Pls let me know.
    Thanks,

  • Difference between stock and non stock material

what is the difference between stock and non stock material. example of stock and non stock material?

    Hello,
    Stock Material
Material that is constantly kept in stock .A stock material has a material master record and is managed on a value basis in a material stock account.
    Ex: Raw Material.
    Non-stock Material
Material that is not held in stock because it is consumed immediately.
    Ex: Office Stationary.
You need to create purchase order and accounting document for payment but the stock balance is always zero as it is issued out immediately to the various department.

  • Unit of measure for Stock and Non-stock Item in CJ20N

When I attach Material to an activity (item Category N   Non-stock item) in Project Builder (CJ20N), It is peaking its Base unit of Measure as unit. Now when I try to change it, it is showing an error
Item category N: Only base unit of measure M allowed
    Message no. CO344
But for the same material if I change the item Category to L   Stock item, then it allows me to change the unit.
Please guide me regarding this Behavior. Is there any customization, by doing which it will allow me do the same for Non-stock Item or It is not Possible.

firstly I am assuming that the activity is internal processing type - doesn't matter really
now to attach a material select actvity and from the template area click and drag material which will open the material detail screen in the work area
because it is a non stock item I am assuming text description - in the requirements qty you enter the qty and next to it the units - changeable
if you choose a material number maintained as material master then obviously the unit will be from the material master.
If you are using an externally processing activity then in config check OPUU for the network type and see if order unit has been populated - that might be the problem

  • BI - Purchase document's item level contion type and correspondingvalue.

    Dear Experts
I would  like to know - Is there any standard data source in BI for item level condition type and values of Purchase order document. These are available in SAP R/3 . Shall be grateful, if you could kindly help me out
    Kind regards - P.L.Dey

    Hi,
Actually, These informations are stored in Characteristics and Key Figures i.e., CVCs(characteristic value combinations)
    When you do Purchase Order,
These Values will store in PURCHIS ( Purchasing Information Systems) and that to, in Open Information Warehouse Data base in the form of CVCs. (In Particular Table forms)
    EG.,
Values are stored in Key Figures (Eg., Number....)
Names are stored in Characteristics ( Eg., Purchase order..)
in CVC, we can easily see, Number of purchase orders for vendor, or so.....
    Hopes it is useful
    Thanks.

  • PR item level Release WorkFlow

    Hi Experts,
I have activated PR item level release WorkFlow  WS00000038. My MM consultant has configured release strategy with ME51N. The Work flow works fine On releasing it sends notification work item to initator but on release Refusal it don't send notification work item to initator. Can anyone guide me how to resolve this issue.
    TS00007986 SINGLERELEASE
    4 Outcomes of release
    1) Positive Confirmation
    2) Negative Confirmation
    3) Confirmation Release Cancelled
    4) Purchase requisition item significantly changed
Now 1) posative confirmation is working fine.
but when we reject release then in that case also the workflow log it is going in undefined output that is significantly changed.
can anyone help me to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Hari

    Hi Hari,
When you reject a PR, 2 events are getting triggered (Significantly changed and rejection_started). You check this in Transaction SWEL by rejecting PR.
The reason why output is going to Significantly changed branch is in SWEL you can see that 1st Significantly changed  event is getting triggered and then Rejection_started.
Solution1: Deactivate the Significantly changed event in termination events tab.
Solution2: Create an attribute(Database object) for your business object. This attribute should be of type EBAN-BANPR. Check if BANPR = 08 and then send the rejection mail.
I hope this clears your doubt.
Please Revert back to me if you have any queries.

  • Processor of PR item level release strategy

    Hi All,
I need to pass the Processor determined from an item level Purchase Requisition release strategy to a WF container.  The event is RELEASESTEPCREATED in BUS2009. I have created an import element container called 'Processor' from ABAP dict. data type  MEACTOR.
In the binding for the WF trigger RELEASESTEPCREATED I cannot bind the 'Processor' wf container to the Event Object.
What are the steps which I must follow to add the 'Processor' to the RELEASESTEPCREATED event?
The release strategy in SPRO for item level Purchase Req release is complete and the Set-up procedure for Workflow is complete.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi,
    Go to SWO1, enter BUS2009. Click on create subtype icon there. Then enter all fields as say ZBUS2009. Now save your new BO. then implement and release it , i.e;
Edit> Change Release Status> Object type> to implemented. Again Edit> Change Release Status> Object type> to Released. Then go to events in this objects. Click on event RELEASESTEPCREATED. Then click on event parameter and create a event parameter.
    Hope this solves your problem.
    Don't forget to delegate ZBUS2009 with BUS2009 in SWO6.
Let me know if you have any queries.

    Raj

  • Creating  workflow for purchase order release.

    Hi friends
I want step by step detail about creation of workflow for purchase order release..
After release purchase order it will goes to the two level of approval..
after that the workflow should be completed...
how can i develope the workflow for that scenario..
    Thanks
    Gowrishankar

    Hi Gowrishankar,
You can get step by step workflow for PO using standard workflow
    <b>Release of Purchase Order :WS20000075</b>
And for two levels of approvals you have to configure in SPRO the path is
    Purchase Order:
SPRO> Material Management->Purchasing->/Purchase order-->Release procedure ---> Procedure with classification ---> set up procedure with classification ---> double click on Release strategies and Workflow.
If you don't know about this configuration, you have to confirm with your MM consultant.

  • Item level release

    Hi experts,
what is mean item level release and header level release in PR. How to configure it.
    pls explain in detail
    regards
    arun

    Hi,
    Release Procedure
    Use
You use this component if you wish to set up approval procedures for purchase requisitions or other purchasing documents. Under such a procedure, if a purchase requisition or external purchasing document fulfills certain conditions (e.g. the total order value exceeds $10,000), it has to be approved (by the cost center manager, for instance) before it can be processed further. This process of approving (clearing, or giving the "green light" to) a proposed item of expenditure is replicated in the SAP System by the "release procedure".
It is sensible to define separate release procedures for different groups of materials for which different departments are responsible, and to define separate procedures for investment goods and consumption goods.
Which Documents Can be Released (Approved)?
Release procedures can be defined for the following documents:
    ·     Purchase Requisition
    ·     The external purchasing documents purchase order (PO), contract, scheduling agreement, request for quotation (RFQ), and service entry sheet
    Release Procedure for Purchase Requisitions
Two different procedures are available for requisitions:
    ·     With classification
With this procedure, requisitions can be released both at item level (i.e. item-by-item) and in total. The latter approach is also termed "overall release".
    ·     Without classification
With this procedure, requisitions can only be released at item level.
Release Procedure for External Purchasing Documents
External purchasing documents (i.e. purchasing documents other than requisitions) are released at header level. Item-by-item release is not possible. These documents can only be released using the release procedure with classification.

  • Add "Customer fields" for item level

    Hi experts.
    Please i need a help.
Im using the SAP CRM 5.0 win client.
I will use the EEWB method to add new fields at the item level (CRMD_CUSTOMER_I). I believe that these fields will appear in the "customer fields" tab, but this tab isnu2019t displayed inside item details.
    Why its can be happen?
    Is some config. missed?
    Thanks in advanced.
    Daniel

Yes. it is possible but you have to take care of in the back end too and how these fields comes and sit in ECC. so that you may need to map in the IDOC or XI data . so that these information must be pssed to ECC and available  and accordingly you need to change in purchase order too since all these data will be copied into purchase order too.
for example :- if you add one field in header level /item level of contract
and it must be coppied into Backend contract as well as your next consecutive docuemnt like Purchase order must be taken care. hope you understand now.

  • Tax classification screen for item level not appearing in sale order under Billing Doc tab

    Hi Expert
while creating sale order Tax classification screen is not appearing for item level under Billing document tab.
Tax classification for customer and Material has already maintained. Tax classification screen is not appearing for USER but same time from our USER ID we can able to see that screen.
please help in above issue. is this related to Authorization issue or other thing need to check.
    Regards
    Pash@SD

    Hi,
As per standard in Sales Order Document you will be able to see the Tax Classification fields in Billing Tab at Header level (for Customer Tax Classification) and at Item level for (Material tax Classification). The values from Customer M<aster is not populated at Header level as per standard but you can populate the value by using the Exit. Material tax classification populated from material master as you can see that at item level.
If for one User you are able to see and for other you are not able to see, kindly check first whether both are using same customer and material, and if yes, then check the User Exit.
    Thanks and regards,
