    How to find process chain using background job in sm37

    Better is to select the job.
    Select (Define) Step (s) or F6.
    Select the line and Menu Goto>Variant.
    The variant contains the name of the CHAIN and its VARIANT.
    Success
    We faced an old job and via job monitoring we were informed about a cancelled job every 'interval'.
    We noticed that the related chain was deleted but still the job was scheduled each interval again and was cancelled because an event was missing
    We could not find the scheduled job via SM37.
    Via view V_OP, view over tbtco abd tbtcp, we find the related entry.
    We delete these entries via function BP_JOB_DELETE....

  • Process chain failed, how to find jobname ?

    Hi all,
    My process chain has failed and I can check that in st13 my chain red, how to find the error, i mean the job name and the detailed error for that step. I can see that its in red, if i rite clik and go to process monitor on that and then can u pls tell me how to see the detailed error report for that red step.

    HI,
    i think instead of this you can use the transaction RSPCM
    there you can find all the process chains and if they have failed the corresponding process chain status will be red
    and when u double click on it u will be directed to the respective process chain and you can find the error
    for the JObname of the step failed go to corresponding step right click and display messages
    u can find batch monitor u can find the jobname of the corresponding Step

  • How to create process chains,and how to use process like and or xor

    Hi,
    How to create process chains,and how to use process like and or xor.
    can any one please give me a example in each.
    Thanks,
    cheta.

    Hi Cheta,
    Here is step by step procedure to create process chains
    Process chain is nothing but executing a process ..(or) loading the data any process we can do in background.. that means.. automatically we can execute our process based on Time or any event..
    Creating Process Chains
    Prerequisites
    If you want to include a load process in the process chain, you need to have already created an InfoPackage.
    You cannot load flat file data from a client workstation in the background. For this reason, you have stored your data on an application server.
    Creating Process Chains
    You have the option of creating a process chain in the process chain maintenance screen directly or by using a maintenance dialog for a process:
    Creating a Process Chain Directly in the Process Chain Maintenance Screen
    You are in the BW Administrator Workbench.
    1. Click on the Process Chain Maintenance icon in the AWB toolbar.
    The Process Chain Selection dialog window appears.
    2. Choose Create.
    3. Enter the technical name and a description of the chain, and confirm your entry.
    The Add Start Process dialog window appears.
    4. Create a variant for a start process.
    1. a. On the Maintain Start Process screen, choose whether you want to schedule the chain directly or whether you want to start it using a metachain.
    2. b. If you choose to schedule the chain directly, enter the start date value for the chain under Change Selections and save your entries.
    The Maintain Start Process screen appears again.
    3. c. Save your entries, return to the previous screen and confirm your entries in the Add Start Process dialog window.
    You are taken to the Plan View of the process chain maintenance screen.
    In the left-hand area of the screen, a navigation area is displayed. In the right-hand area of the screen, the process chain is displayed.
    5. Use the drag-and-drop function to add the relevant processes into your process chain.
    You use the Process Types function to select the processes. This sorts the process types according to different categories. You can also call up InfoPackages and processes for the data target from the separate InfoSources and Data Targets navigation trees.
    Hope this helps

  • How to find process in SM66

    Hi,
    I am searching process in SM66 which is corresponding to BW process.
    But dont know how to find it, process id seems to be different in both BW and R/3.

    With this SM37 I guess you mean that in BW system all jobs related to process chain have ended.
    I don't think it's possible to tell on R3 side what job corresponds to BW process chains. You can try by name in SM37 or as you said in SM66/SM50 looking at background type work processes, but without information how process chain creates name of job on R3 side you won't be able to tell for sure. How job name is created is question rather to BW expert, not "ABAP Performance and Tuning".

  • How do find Process name and Node name in a workflow ?

    Hi,
    For logging exceptions, how do I elegantly find the
    process name and node name in a workflow.
    Thanks
    -Anil

    The service location of the process is available on the interface returned
    by
    context.getService() in the process. That contains the full process path
    (including process project name).
    On the node, I don't know...

  • How to find process chain transport no

    Dear experts,
    I have made some changes in existing process chain and while saving it did not ask me for a transport request.
    So I want to check if the process chain has been created as local.
    Is there any way to check this. I was looking for some object directory option to check , but could not find.
    Please help.
    best regards,

    You can check this in various ways:
    1) simply go to transport connection in rsa1 and drag the process chain to right hand side...there you can see the transport number...
    2)Go to  rspc -
    > process chain from menu bar ---> attribute ---> last change by -> see object catelog--> hit the diplay button for person responsible -
    > there you can see the lock view

  • How to find Porcess Chain Failure from 0TCT

    I want to generate a report of process chain failures. I am looking at 0TCT_C21, do not have clue how to get this information. May be some other cube provides this information. Appreciate any help.

    Hi,
    0TCT_VC11 and 0TCT_VC12 gives status. BI object status and Process status respectively.
    Status should always be real time data . Hence the use of virtual cubes for these two status.
    0TCT_VC12 gives the status of processes and process chains .
    there are already existing queries for process chain status too .
    0TCT_MC12_Q0100 is the query that gives process chain status. It is also along with the content , so you can install  and use it

  • How to find process causing "ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified"

    Hello there,
    ENV: Oracle 10gR2 64bit on ASM, RHEL 64bit
    Application team has reported "ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified" during the batch process in production env. This is happening for last couple of days. When this batch process is restarted in the morning, this error does not appear.
    I understand that this error is raised when one process tries to eecute some DDL on a table while another process is performing DML (or hasn't issued COMMIT/ROLLBACK after the DDL).
    Since this error is occurring at night (around 3:00am) during the batch process, is there a way to find out on table/object is contention happening OR which process is causing this error? The batch process cannot be modified to add debug messages because it is in Production.
    Please advise.
    Best regards

    >The batch process cannot be modified to add debug messages because it is in Production.
    I suspect more than one job is running concurrently against the DB; otherwise not error would occur.
    Of course the batch process CAN be modified, but some PHB has decided to eliminate that option.
    The Oracle database is at the mercy of the application code.
    If the application code is poorly instrumented, then live with what exists or improved the code to facilitate isolating the bug.
    You could delay the start of one of the jobs & then hope the error no longer occurs.

    Hi Subodh,
    There is a transaction RSM37 where you get more detailed job logs.

  • ADF table: How to find out which rows were modified by the user

    Hi,
    I am using ADF table to display data that can be modified by the user (ReadOnly = false in the input text). I need to find out which rows were modified by the user, and only update (persist) those rows in the database.
    Is there an easy way to find out which rows were modified by the user.
    I am NOT particularly concerned with which columns were modified as I would update the entire row (if any data in that row is modified).
    I am using Oracle JDeveloper version 11.1.1.3.
    Thanks,
    Ash K

    Thanks Timo.
    I am using ADF Data Control (which are created from Web Service proxy) to display/update the data.
    In the backing bean, the operation that is invoked at the time persisting data is as follows:
    public void commitOperation {
    BindingContainer bindings = getBindings();
    OperationBinding operationBinding = bindings.getOperationBinding("operationA");
    DCIteratorBinding dciter = (DCIteratorBinding)bindings.get("someIterator");
    for(int i=0; i<dciter.getViewObject().getEstimatedRowCount(); i++)
    Row row=dciter.getRowAtRangeIndex(i);
    SomeObject someObject= new SomeObject ();
    someObject.setAttr1(row.getAttribute("Attrbute1").toString());
    someObject.setAttr2(row.getAttribute("Attribute2").toString());
    objectList.add(someObject);
    operationBinding.getParamsMap().put("param1", objectList);
    ResultObject result = (ResultObject) operationBinding.execute();
    Inside the for loop (or any other place in the backing bean), I would like to figure out if the row was modified by the user. Please let me know if how to get that. If ADF provides this automatically, that would be GREAT.
    Thanks,
    Ash K

  • Moving data between tables (how to find out if the 2nd table is empty)

    Hi,
    I have 2 tables, and I'm copying records from one table to another.
    I've followed the Wiki: [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/vc/movingdatabetween+tables]
    So far, everything works ok.
    Here is my question: how do I get the number of records passed?
    I mean, how do I know the number of rows in the 2nd table? (Remember that this number is variable, because it depends on how many rows I've inserted and deleted on the 2nd table).
    I've tried to achieve that using a data store with a numeric field, but I couldn't find the way to increment/decrement the numeric field on data store, and insert/delete the row on table at the same time .
    All I want is to find out if the 2nd table is empty or not.
    Any ideas to solve this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Help will be point-rewarded.
    Marcelo

    Hi Ahmed
    thanks for your reply, it was very helpful!! (I've assigned points to you)
    However the user can add twice or more times the same row... so the counter doesn't reflect the real number of rows in the 2nd table.
    I've partially solved this also using a data store with a parameter called key_list, where I add (I mean, concatenate) the key field for the selected row.
    So, if I have a table with 4 rows with key fields "key1", "key2", "key3", the parameter key_list would get "key1;key2;key3".
    So far, it's ok. But when I remove a row previosly added.... I can't remove the key from the key_list parameter. (I mean, from 2nd table I choose to remove the "key2" row, but I don't know how also remove the key name from the key_list)
    I hope be clearly enough.
    Any help will be really appreciated and point-rewarded.
    Thanks again.
    Best Regards
    PS: is there any way of "mark" a row that has been added to the 2nd table? I mean, using (for example) a hidden boolean field named "added", that becomes true when the selected row is added to the 2nd table.
