Query on Virtual cube 0FIGL_V10 show old "Last Data Updated:" on Portal
Hello all,
We are using the SAP delivered virtual cube for G/L financial statements reporting. We are running these queries on Portal (BI 7.0) we are using the 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN template. Now since we are not actually loading data in this cube the template show "Last Data updated" as long time back, I am guessing when the cube was last activated or transported.
The template and time stamp is working perfect for queries on all other cubes or Multiproviders.
The business users are asking can we have the actual time stamp there (when actually the data was last loaded),
Does anyone have any idea how we can do it without actually rewriting the queries on standard cube.

Always last update data status only will see in our reports on last data updated date. It may be activation of data in cube. please check is there any option of activate data in data flow level.
Try to create one record in remote data source and load it again. It may be find the latest status.

if other queries work fine using exactly the same (customized) template the problem is most likely not the template. Does the appropriate query does display figures? Is your data binding done correctly within the template?
What happens if you execute the customized template which does not display Last Data Update Info field with another (i.e. a different) query? Does it display the Last Data field? What happens the other way round: you execute a different template with the appropriate query (which does not display Last Data Update). Does it show the Last Data Update?
Just give it a try, this sometimes help

Last Data Update in Visual Composer and Web App Designer
Hello,
We want to show the last data update in query result and we used 2
differents ways to do it: throught Web Application Designer (SP 12) and
Visual Composer (SP 10).
In query result of Web Application Designer, the last data update came
in GMT0 and in visual composer came ok (GMT - 3, that's our time zone).
This value (ROLLUPTIME) is taken out of the RSMDATASTATE table and this is used in SAPLRSMDATASTATE program, that is called by Web App Designer.
Why does the difference exist between: Web App Designer and Visual Composer for last data update?
So, I need more information how the Visual Composer brings the correct value (in our time zone) and Web App Designer in GMT0.

Use of virtual cube 0FIGL_V10 for reporting on Financal Statements
Dear all,
I am new to the GL reporting and I have a question about the usage of the virtual cube for reporting on Financial Statements.
On the content site I see that you can report your Balance Sheet based on the infocube 0FIGL_C10, where you can use the infoobject 0GLACCOUNT to display the balances.
I also installed the Virtual Cube 0FIGL_V10, which has the infoobject 0GLACCEXT to show the Financial Statement Item hierarchy.
My questions are:
- to create a Balance Sheet Report, is it advisable to use the content query 0FIGL_C10_Q001?
If I run that query now, it is showing the data on seperate G/L accounts, where I would like to see a hierarchy display.
For reporting on the capital expenditure however the requirement is that some G/L acoounts don't have to be taken into account. How can I exclude those then from the hierarchy for that report?
- to create the P&L, advice on the content site is to use the virtual cube because you have the Financial Statement Item hierarchy available there and you can report on specific financial statements.
Can anyone tell me the added value of using the Virtual Cube? Or can I skip it and just add the Financial Statement Item hierarchy in the 0FIGL_C10 cube and create a report where I select the nodes of the hierarchy that are only applicable for the P&L? Will that corrupt the figures or have any other effect?

As ravi said the VC can be used when we have leass number of users, basically in VC the structure will be available. And moreover when you generetae a report based on Multiprovider which is based on the VC then it will pick up the data directly from the source to which it has been connected..

BO Advance analysis 1.1.4, Info Field like Last Data Update Table

I am using BO Advance analysis 1.1.4 for reporting output. There we have option to show Info Field like Last Data Update.
It is using this function to get that info :

Anybody have idea what BW table it is refering to get that info.
As per my understanding, since these workbook of Adv. Analysis are refering Query which are built on MultiProviders, it go and find out the last cube/dso successful data load.
Also I manually checked the date and time of last successful update in cube, but it is not matching as far as time is concern. Date is matching.
Please help me to get the correct table which gave that info (date and time).

I was trying for the similar requirement to get the "Last refreshed time" of the table used in the calculation view in HANA.
It uses the same formula : =SAPGetInfoLabel("LastDataUpdate")
But since Analytic View actually doesn't store any data, it is virtual. The date am seeing is the last changed date. i.e if i do any changes on the model, am seeing the last date when I changed it.
Is there any function which we can use to get the Last refreshed date of the table in the model am using?

If the query is based on one cube or DSO, it is the time of the last request upload.
If the query is based on a multiprovider, like the example given ealier,
assume there are three cubes in multiprovider :
Last update of cube1 is 11/17/2008
Last update of cube2 is 11/19/2008
Last udpate of cube3 is 11/20/2008.
The "last data update" will be the earliest day of the "last data update"s of all partproviders, i.e.11/17/2008.
Because the meaning of "last data update" is that, data (of all partproviders) has been already updated until this time.
Now we assume there are three cubes like this in multiprovider :
Last update of cube1 is 11/17/2008
Last update of cube2 is 11/19/2008
Cube3 is empty. It has never been loaded with any request.
Then the "last data update" will be empty. Because until no time has all partproviders been updated. This is the design of the system.

Query on virtual cube showing incorrect values

I have create a virtual cube on a base cube using services (info-source). both virtual as well base cube are z-development and are in BI.
Base cube has 6 records, now when I check data in virtual cube using display data it shows correct values based on routine written in virtual cube transformation.
Problem is when I created query on this virtual cube it doesnt show correct data or sometime no applicable data. After debugging I found, in end routine itself result package contains records with blank values in it on which I have written routine. But it does this only while executing query not when I display data in cube.

Incorrect data with Virtual Cube 0FIGL_V10 when used in MultiProvider
Hi All,
I am using 0FIGL_V10 in a multiprovider with 0FIGL_O02 to solve a reporting requirment.
My problem is that I am unable to get the same revenue figure from the multiprovider as I am from the virtual cube alone.
In the multiprovider query I have filtered my revenue KYF's by:
value type
version
currency type
I have fiscal period across the top of the columns and filtered for example to 001.2009 - 006.2009
This query returns double the revenue value that I get if I run an indentical query on the base cube 0FIGL_V10.
I have found that if i filter fiscal period directly in the KYF restriction it outputs the correct result which is confusing.
Any ideas ?

I am trying to check the last date (i.e. max date) and also check the penultimate date (i.e. the second to the last date). And then find the difference between the two (i.e. last date minus penultimate
date).
I would like to do that for each of the companies listed in Table 2: Tickers. I am able to do it for just one company (MSFT) using the queries below:

App Store keeps showing out-of-date updates
This began since the last OS update - I install the available app updates, and then the App Store app on my phone shows a list of more available updates, but it's showing versions previous to the latest installed versions.
iPhone 3G, OS v2.2.1.I was having this problem, too, but I hope I've fixed it. First, in iTunes, check out your Applications. Use the Show in Finder command to see if the downloaded apps folder has any duplicates.
If your apps look good, try the following:
1. Make sure your iPhone is disconnected. Restart your iPhone and do NOT open the App Store app until the end of this procedure.
2. In iTunes on your computer, go to Preferences - Devices. Check Disable automatic syncing for iPhones and iPods. Click ok.
3. Go back to Preferences - Devices, and Reset Sync History.
4. Deauthorize Computer from the Store menu.
5. Quit and restart iTunes.
6. Authorize Computer from the Store menu.
7. Repeat step #3.
8. Within iTunes, check for updates to your apps.
9. Connect your iPhone and wait for it to appear in the iTunes sidebar.
10. Make sure your sync preferences are how you like them, especially for the Applications tab.
11. Sync your iPhone.

Issue when running Balance sheet report on Virtual Cube (0FIGL_V10)

We are actually implementing new General ledger and I activated all the underlying ODS & cubes.
While running standard report(0FIGL_V10_Q0001) on 0FIGL_V10 , I am getting the following error:
Characteristic 0GLACCEXT has a constant value (F) and cannot be used.
Characteristic 0GLACCEXT Financial Statement Item not available in the Infoprovider.
FYI, The above characteristic is available in the cube and I dont know what is the fix for the same.
Can anyone please let me know if the same problem was faced and resolved.

Thanks for the response.I did following checks in RSRV yesterday before I posted this thread.
Master data checks for 0GLACCEXT went successful but when I checked my Infocube and dimension tables,its giving me the following error:
Diagnosis
There is no dimension table for dimension /BI0/D0FIGL_V102, even though the dimension is not a line-item dimension.
Procedure
Try to reactivate the InfoCube. Data that is contained in the InfoCube is not deleted.
As per the above procedure , I reactivated the cube and tried running the query but it still gives the message,0GLACCEXT characteristic cannot be used.
I can see all the dimensions in the Infocube(0FIGL_V10) coming correctly and I also can reactivate but still the error doesn't go.
I also tried installing the Cube one more time if the error was because of not installing properly and I tried running the report but still I did not get to a resolution..
I am now not sure , what to do to fix this problem.

How to change the settings for Last data update in BI
Dear All,
If you want to display that "Status of Data " field in the report... Then you need to set it at...
Run the query -> from the BEx toolbar choose LAYOUT -> Display text elements -> General.
If this is not set, then it will not show in report output.
Status of data is the time on which the latest load occured to the cube. Lets say, you have built a report on a cube which is loaded on 01/10/2007. When you run the report, the status of data will show this date 01/10/2007 until you load the cube again. In this case, if you load on 01/20/2007, the status would now show up as 01/20/2007.
If we want to display that field in the report...
Run the query -> from the BEx toolbar choose LAYOUT -> Display text elements -> General.
The above all is for BW 3.5
but i want to know for BI 7 and EP

First thing here is, in SM58 u r finding the entries means those are related to TRFC LUW's. we shuld never stop this unless those are not useful.
These TRFC's moves from the source system to different Target systems by their respective users.
As u said that these Entries are occupying the system resources i.e in accordance to that we have to increase our dialog process in the system not to simply stop that TRFC entries.
These trfc's move basing on the Dialog processes in the system i.e if the processes are free then these entries move freely from system to system.
Automatically system generates these LUW's when ur scheduling a load from R/3 to BI system.
This will not be generated to BI by a particular job in R/3.This depends on the volume of the data only.
So pls have a talk with BASIS team regarding the resource availability and the movement of the LUW's/TRFC's into BI system.
