Authorisation request for this document was cancelled

Forum,
I have an approval stage and template configured in SAP when a sales order is raised it prompts the user for authorisation. Whilst this is ok'd the order is placed in a 'Draft' status. Upon trying to add one particular order, i get the following message:
The authorisation request for this document was cancelled. The document cannot be added inless the authorisation request is restored.
As he needed to get the order processed. I advised he duplicate the order and re-add it this time ensuring the correct authorisation procedure is carried out.
Why would this occur?

The question u have asked is nor very much clear the first scenario is that once the approval is rejected the document saves in draft well if thats the concern than this is the way the approval procedure is defined that without approval the document should not have any affect on the system whereas rightly said by fellow geniuses u can have multiple person to approve if one is not present other can approve it this would save time and effort for you
The second scenario is that the approval procedure u have assigned gives u the message with one particular document and its fine with rest if thats the case then i would request you please check the query if there is any associated with the approval procedure

Setting a global margin for any documents to print

Hello,
On a Mac running OS X, I have a ruby/java script allowing me to open a Microsoft Word document and print it as a PDF (and extra stuffs, but that's not part of the problem). During the conversion from Word to PDF for most of my documents I get a dialog saying 'A footer of section X is outside of the printable area of the page...'. What I would like to do is not to write a script to click 'yes' when a dialog open but to try to set the default margin for printing to 0. In the 'page setup', there is an option to create customized 'paper size', with a giving width, height and margins (that I can set to 0). By default the paper size is selecting A4, but I would like to find a way to set this paper size as a default to my customized paper size for any document opened on Microsoft Word or printed as PDF! If I select manually the customized paper size after I open the document on Word, I can print it without having the dialog.
So my question is to know if there is a way to set a global margin for printing to 0 (let me know if I need to use Acrobat Pro, Distiller etc.), whatever the way is.

There is nothing specific with the SDK that you have to print a marketing document such as a Sales Order, PO, etc. What you may want to look at in the 2005A SDK is the "PrintEvent" object. This event lets you catch a print event in the SAP Business One application, get the relevant data that is sent to the printer and then edit it using a third-party editing tool such as Crystal Reports. The PrintEvent event provides an exit point that allows you to integrate third-party tools for reporting and document editing.
You can look at the sample code for the PrintEvent here ...

Well I understand that auto save is already present and saving your doc every 5 mins. But then why do you think, this did not happen yesterday in the following case?? I wrote one page of a long document and wanted to format it before proceeding. I selected the part to be formatted and instead erased it. I could not find that page again. I had to rewrite the matter.

There's no 'best practice' as such, but there are a few that I think should be default:
Enabling CDR, On-Hook Pickup, CFwdAll Override... but really the settings are specific to the requirements of the deployment.

Error releasing transport request for change document object

Hi Gurus,
I created a new change document object for a Z-table. When i try to release the transport request in the development system it terminated with a message "Export application-defined objects 17.12.2009 11:07:45 Not yet executed". The transport request continued to be in the "Release started" status and i am not able to release it.
I checked in the co file & data file directory for this request, The co file is available but the data file is not created.
Could you please let me know how to solve this?

It was a problem with some basis settings. Was rectified by the basis team.

Keyboard shortcut for Compare Documents (or configurable keyboard shortcuts)

I'm guessing the ability to configure Keyboard Shortcuts as one can in other Adobe applications is coming soon to Acrobat (the software release cycles haven't quite synched up yet), but if there are no plans for this, I would appreciate a Keyboard Shortcut for a function I use very frequently: Compare Documents.

If you go to system prefs - keyboard & mouse - keyboard shortcuts you can set a shortcut for anything that is in the mail menus.
click the + at bottom left to add one, select mail from the applications drop down, then type in the exact name of the mail menu item you want a shortcut for eg :Add Hyperlink . Then find a shortcut combo that isn't in use by something else & there you are.
I prefer the edit link, so's you get a neat link, rather than the (sometimes) 3 line url.

we've noticed that mail doesn't send rtf that outlook on an exchange server likes
unless you not only enable rtf, but also actually make some alteration that really requires rtf. That's to say a different font,a larger font, italics, a signature in italics, a colour etc.
The fact that your composed message displays in arial 48pt (for example) doesn't cut it - it'll still be sent as plain unless you do one of the above. Making a change & reversing it works too.

this sounds like an interview question...
FI documents are stored in table BKPF, if a document is reversed, the reverse document number will be stored in BKPF-STBLG
SD invoice => table VBRK => field to check: SFAKN
MM invoice => table RBKP => field to check: STBLG
etc.
as you can see for each type of document you'll find the information is separate tables

Generating PDF for Any document No in SAP

My requirement is to create a general Zprogram, which requires to pass "DOCUMENT No , Company Code, Fiscal Year"
and generates PDF file corresponding to that document inn SAP.
Though their is an standard program which requires to pass "SPOOL No" and generates the PDF. But How to link Doucment no with the spool, I amnot bale to figure out.SO please do the Suggest.

Basically in FI , spool is generated for payment advice and check.
Now generally the payment advice is printed and sign off and then given to vendors.
But sometime it also requires to send payment adive by mail because of miss place of advice from vendor end.
Now user can eaily search out the payment documnet no corresponding to that paymnet.
Now gain they need to generate a new spool, print it out ans scan and finally send it via mail.
So the requiremnt is to generate a z program in which if a uaser passes a Document No, Fiscal Yera and company code. and the required PDF got generated.
Hope now exactly got my requiments.

Requesting for any idea which can help

we are having a table with 10 million records, it is our transaction table
the transactions table starts with a begining balance and only holds the debit and credit amount,
so for example if you want the balance at a certain date the application will simply sum the credit amount and the debit amount and after that it will give the balance
and now for the past months printing reports which hold many balances is taking some 10 -20 minutes,
so here is my question,
1 - is the only solution stripping some records and have only small transactions
2 - or oracle can handle such kind of problem even if when recheaching for a running balance despite such a big record

To change the screen resolution, open System Preferences > Displays, select "Scaled" on Resolution and you will be able to change the screen resolution.
If you want a higher resolution than your screen supports, that's not possible
