Rights to Inventory Custom Reports

Hi
On our ZCM zone (recently upgraded to ZCM 11.2.1) only the "Administrator" can view Inventory Custom Reports. All other admins (including superadmins) see nothing in the Inventory Custom Reports list. If they create a new report the name is accepted but never shows. If another attempt is made it states "folder already exists".
I have given full access to all custom reports with the following but still they never show in ZCC for superadmins (browsers: ie8, ie9, firefox 10.0.5)
ZCC->Configuration->Click the adminuser -> rights tab -> assign rights through "Inventory Report Rights" in the left pane under "Administrator Tasks"
I have also added the specific "Reporting Rights" for the adminusers to the Reports folder but the result is the same. They should not need the reporting rights anyway as they are superadmins.
Any suggestions on how to make this work?
Thanks
Julian

Even if I give them full rights to all custom reports and standard reports, they won't see them.
The only way for them to see the standard reports is to be a super admin.

I vaguely remember running into this. No, you don't need to give them super admin, but you have to do something odd/funky. It was supposed to have been fixed in 11.2 and it wasn't. I vaguely remember it was TID #7007898
We had 2 issues with that.
1) if you didn't get rid of the .xml file it would generate errors/exceptions (at least if you're using Oracle), so it wouldn't actually run/do what it was supposed to do (that's the bug/defect that was supposedly fixed)
2) Try running it manually with the zman rpfs instead
I think that fixed it for us.
We have non-super admin users who can see custom reports that one of our other non-super admins has created.

  • What happened to Effort metrics in the Custom Reports data model?

    What happened to Effort metrics in the Custom Reports data model?
    Is there any way to use the Custom Reports data model to report on task effort?  This was a metric captured in the Standard Reports Data Package, but looking through the metrics in the Custom Reports data model (particularly the ServiceTask Fact table) I do not see any effort related metric.

    Ed is right.  The Custom Report data model on pre-2007.1.1 did not contain task effort data but it is added as a fact to report against in the 2007.1.1 release.  You will get this once you upgrade to 2007.1.1 and turn on the task effort entry setting in site administration.

  • Cisco Prime - Custom Inventory Change Report?

    Hi,
    Cisco Prime has this report:
    Reports > Inventory > 24-hour Inventory Change
    The problem is that the Report reports things that I don't want to track, like changes in "NVRAM Used",  Interface Speed, etc...
    Is it possible to configure Inventory Change so that it would not check some itens?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for answering,
    my report has, for example, the following information:
    Changes for Device: router01
    Processor Identity: ProcessorID = 3
    Attribute           Type of Change           Time Change Detected           Previous Value           Current Value
    NVRAM Used (KB)           Changed           2014-02-21 00:10:00.69           16923           16953
    I saw that Syslog Automated Actions > Inventory Fetch has very useful configuratios, but I think that it is still not what I need. The screen you pointed out was related to messages from Syslog that triggers inventory collection.
    What I need is in the image below.
    All right, NVRAM changed it's current used size. For me, it is completely useless to know about that every day in my Inventory Change report. That information is flooding my report. How to remove it from future reports?
    Thanks again!

  • Custom Reporting on Imported Hardware Inventory set classes for USB Super Speed driver

    I am trying to create a report with report builder 3.0 to pull data on a USB Super Speed driver under
    ClassContext("local|HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Class{36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000}")
    I tried following the article
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgr_geek_speak/archive/2013/11/10/inventorying-and-reporting-network-adapter-driver-details-and-how-to-report-only-the-wireless-type-in-configuration-manager-2012.aspx and changed a few of the Class descriptions and cannot
    get any data in the report.
    I imported this into the Hardware Inventory set classes:
    #pragma namespace ("\\\\.\\root\\cimv2\\sms")
    [ SMS_Report (TRUE),
    SMS_Group_Name ("USB"),
    SMS_Class_ID ("MICROSOFT|USB|1.0"),
    Namespace ("\\\\\\\\localhost\\\\root\\\\cimv2") ]
    class Win32Reg_USB : SMS_Class_Template
    [SMS_Report (TRUE), key ]
    string Index;
    [SMS_Report (TRUE) ]
    string DriverDesc;
    [SMS_Report (TRUE) ]
    string DriverVersion;
    [SMS_Report (TRUE) ]
    string DriverDate;
    [SMS_Report (TRUE) ]
    string ProviderName;
    Under the Configuration.mof file I am not sure what to change in order to report on this.  Any help appreciated.  We are looking for all of the USB super speed driver details.
    Thanks,
    Brit

    have you looked at V_GS_system_Device if your device info available or not ? Use the below SQL query to list all system devices on your clients.
    SELECT DISTINCT name0 FROM v_GS_SYSTEM_DEVICES

  • Custom Report taking more time to complete Normat

    Hi All,
    Custom report(Aging Report) in oracle is taking more time to complete Normal.
    In one instance, the same report is taking 5 min and the other instance this is taking 40-50 min to complete.
    We have enabled the trace and checked the trace file, but all the queries are working fine.
    Could you please suggest me regarding this issue.
    Thanks in advance!!

  • Custom report row template

    Few questions when using a custom report row template. Followup to the discussion Report Row Template: Column condition
    1. The row template allows full control how the entire row is rendered. I can see this being used when the report query returns a single row and we need to format it in a very specific way. But when the query returns multiple rows, how is the specified Row Template used? i.e the first row is "consumed" and rendered as per the template. If the same process is repeated for subsequent rows, how can we control whether successive rows are rendered across the page (left to right) or down the page (top to bottom)?
    2. When a custom row template is used to render a tabular form, the hidden columns (marked Edit=Y, Show=N on Report Attributes) are present in the markup even when they are not specified in the row template! i.e. the MRU process works. Of course, this is a good thing but I was curious to know what exactly controls this, what part of the report template controls where the hidden form elements are placed?
    3. Any number/date formatting specified declaratively on the Column Attributes page appears to be taken into account when column values are substituted in the template using #COL# notation. But all the other Column Attributes are ignored (alignment, sum, show, link, etc). Is there a way to use the Link attribute to declaratively specify the link so the value of the column #COL# as seen by the report template includes the A tag?
    Thanks

  • Custom Report Layout with mutliple child tables

    I am trying to create a custom report layout (using Bi Publisher) where I have parent data (multiple jobs on a page) and several child tables for each job (JobDays and JobStops) and several child tables for JobDays (JobDayProviders, JobDayCrew). On the apex screen, I have a join on Jobs and JobDays and I am using functions to string each child row value for JobDayProviders and JobDayCrew together and putting a <br> in between so that they will format on separate lines within a cell. It works fine on the screen but when trying to print to pdf, it ignores these line breaks. I have also tried using <br></br> (saw an article that said just use HTML in bi pulisher) which puts two lines in between each value on the screen and is still ignored on the pdf.
    for example:
    Table hierarchy:
    Jobs table
    Job Stops
    Job Days
    Job Day Service Providers
    Job Day Crew
    Report Layout per job (will have mutlipe jobs to print, just printing 1 day per job):
    Jobs.col1 JobStops.row1 JobDay.col1 JobDayProviders.row1 JobDayCrew.r1
    JobStops.row2 JobDayProviders.row2 JobDayCrew.r2
    JobDayProviders.row3
    Thanks,
    Linda
    First, is there a way to get bi publisher to recognize the line breaks? If not, what is the best way to create a custom report for this scenario? I tried to create a report query with mutliple queries, but cannot determine how to link the child queries to the paren query. I have seen an example where a button is pressed to print one parent row and the id of that row is saved and referenced as a parameter in each of the queries, but if printing mutliple parents on a report, how would I link the child queries to the parent query?

    Helen,
    The best way for your case is to use a content folder and customize it whichever way you like.
    however, your question is about reports. the problem in reports is this that you have to use just one single query and the layout of the results of this query are displayed in a peculiar way.
    anyway. something similar but not exactly the same as what you wanted do is the following.
    use a query like the following: (with a union in between)
    SELECT COLUMN1,NULL , NULL ,NULL ,NULL
    FROM my_source_table
    WHERE myCriteria LIKE 'SoAndSo%'
    UNION
    SELECT NULL,COLUMN2 , COLUMN3, COLUMN4, COLUMN5
    FROM my_source_table
    WHERE myCriteria LIKE 'SoAndSo%'
    ---------- Now, have the following codes in the layout segments:
    <!--- header --->
    <table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" width="20%" align="center">
    <!--- body --->
    <tr align="center">
    <td><table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="30%" align="center">
    <tr align="center">
    <TH><#COLUMN1.FIELD#></TH>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </td>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN2.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN3.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN4.FIELD#></TD>
    <TD class="report_cell" ALIGN="LEFT"><#COLUMN5.FIELD#></TD>
    </tr>
    <!--- footer --->
    <TR><TD></TD></TR>
    this should produce a report with a table structure (you may see the whole if you give BORDER="1" in the main table tag). Within this table, the first column of the first row should be showing top-leftmost column value once (COLUMN1 value) and then the next rows would show last four column values as a table block on the right-bottom part.
    with kind regards,
    naqvi

  • Custom Report Syntax - Prompt for limiting collection

    I'm building a customer report that will display maintenance windows for multiple devices.  I'd like to be able to filter the number of devices reported by collection (as to not have EVERY device in the console listed all at once).
    I've got the report working for everything except the filtering part.  Do I need to add a new Dataset and then filter it somehow?  Here's my only dataset so far:
    FIELDS: Computername, CollectionName, Next_Maintenance_Window
    QUERY:
    select
    v_FullCollectionMembership.Name as Computername ,v_Collection.Name as CollectionName,
    v_ServiceWindow.Description as 'Next Maintenance Window'
    from v_ServiceWindow
    inner join v_FullCollectionMembership on (v_FullCollectionMembership.CollectionID = v_ServiceWindow.CollectionID)
    inner join v_Collection on (v_Collection.CollectionID = v_FullCollectionMembership.CollectionID)
    order By Computername
    What do I need to add to be able to select the collection 1st then run the query above?

    HI
    Or you could do it like this:
    Create a new dataset and paste in the following Query:
    SELECT
      v_Collection.Name
      ,v_Collection.CollectionID
    FROM
      v_Collection
    Where CollectionType=2
    Insert the following code in your own Query (dataset) right before order by Computername
    Where v_Collection.Name = (@CollID)
    Expand Parameters in Report Builder, you should see a paramter called @CollID
    Right-click CollID and fill in the following information on the general page:
    Name: CollID
    Prompt: Collection
    On the Available Values select Get values from a query
    Dataset: Dataset2 (the new dataset you just created)
    value field: Name
    Label field: Name
    Design your layout in report builder and run the report. You will get a drop-down box with all your device collections.
    This report is not "RBAC" enabled

    Advance thanks,
    Sudheer

    hello Sudheer,
    I remember once creating an Inventory aging document whcih had somwhat the same requirment of going back 6weeks and the other was like 18 weeks from the current week.Do you have cubes regarding the diffrent types of orders, like Planned order, Purchase order, production order and purchase requistion or a multi on top of it.If so then create  query on top of this multiprovider like Inventory aging 30days, inventory aging 60days etc.then  in that query create a variable on calweek (Single value,mandatory and customer exit), this variable should be able to get the current week (depending on when your table was loaded in R3 and if you can get that info thru rfc in BI), this is so that you can determine current week and then specify variable off set in diffrent queries with diffrent requirements of going back, ex: -4 (for 4 weeks ie 1 month) etc, or just create your variable on calmonth and then you need to set an offset just one month back ex -1.
    Create APDs and then load the data in transactional DSOs.Excecute the APD one at a time into the diffrent cubes .Create a multiprovider if you want on top of it.
    Hope this can get you started....

    Hi,
    What is the type of the report? Is it bitmap? If yes, please make sure that the DISPLAY is set properly. Also, change the report type to text and see if you can submit the request successfully.

    Could you please guide me , how to figure out whats the difference between these cloned instances .
    We have an Sr with Oracle Support but its progressing very slowly.

  • Error while running Inventory Audit Report

    Hi All,
    While running the inventory audit report based on posting date, we get the message,'The report returns too many records for this action and may cause SAP Business One to stop responding for a long time or shut down. Do you want to continue?' Continue, cancel (buttons).'
    I have checked SAP Note 1624660 and also  https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=98238470
    however, no correct solution is provided.
    What are the other options that we may use to run this report?? shorten the date range or run by system date??
    Any inputs will be appreciated!!
    Thanks,
    Joseph

    Hi!
    It would be better if you narrow down your selection like,
    More Range of Date with Single Warehouse
    Less Range of Date with Multi Warehouse
    More Range of Date with Single Item Group
    and more....
    I have faced a similar issue on Customer Aging for which SAP Support has replied, SAP B1 is a 32 Bit application and when the virtual memory consumption goes beyond a limit (1 GB) ;SAP will close. And they said  this is the limitation for all 32 bit applications.
