SAP Standard Text (SO10) Character format in Adobe forms

Hi Friends
I created a standradrd text using 'S010' with Few character formats like 'bold' and 'italic' but when created 'Inlude text' element in adobe forms i could see only text coming in pdf output but not the formatting. Is there any way i could get the text character formatting also from standard text to adobe?. I appreciate your help.

In Standard text (SO10) I would like to have my text in a single line. For that I have used the extended line (=) tag. But It is not working.
Can anyone help me how can I achieve this.
Actually how many characters I can put in a single line. I think it is 72. But my text is less than 72 characters.

A Text Symbol in Script or Smartform can take lenght of Maximum 80 characters. Any thing more than that will be truncated even if the window is long enoguh to hold more than 80 characters. Si your character formated need to be have the PROTECTED option checked.
At Topic:
Try increasing the window size in lenght or width, If that is not possible pratically, you can try by decreasing the font size.

I am working on Module Pool Programming...In the one of the screen there is a column named "Description" where I need to keep a Button to call a SAP standard text editing screen and what ever information I enter in the field should be downloadable

Protection of character format in Smart Forms

Hi,
By using a folder node and checking the 'protect' checkbox, everything in that folder will be page protected.
Also, chck the following link:

Getting special character while saving adobe form from portal

Hi All,
I am getting Special character while saving adobe form. I am using webdynpro java application, in which I am using download file UI element.We are facing this issue after support packs were implemented in staging system.

Hi,
We have ABAP system as backend system seperately and Single sign on is configured.
when we access the portal with domain name line http://hostname.domain/52000/irj/portal, we are able to access the adobe form which is develope on abap system without any issue.
but our issue started when we are trying to access portal only with hostname as http://hostname:52000/irj/portal
we are able to login to portal but when we are trying to open the adobe form we are getting error
No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password
Since you have configured SSL, I assume that this configuration is done with fully qualified hotsname. Hence the certificate is generated based on this hostname.
Now when you access your portal without typing fully qualified hostname, system is unable to locate a relevant certificate. Hence it lands up with a message "No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password"

How to display the Standard Text (SO10) based on condition in adobe forms

I have created the Standard texts (through SO10 tr.code) of 4 plant addresses. In the Layout of adobe form, i want to display any one plant address based on the plant number (as a input) and the rest 3 standard text need to be hide. i tried in Form clac to hide, but i unable to succeed. could you please help me, in this regard.

Hi,
You can add all the 4 text in your context menu and create an condition for text.
Example: (LS_HEADER is a structure only for example, you need to decide based on your own form interface)
Text_1000                                Condition -> LS_HEADER-WERKS = 1000
Text_2000                                Condition -> LS_HEADER-WERKS = 2000
Text_3000                                Condition -> LS_HEADER-WERKS = 3000
Text_4000                                Condition -> LS_HEADER-WERKS = 4000
The text satisfyling your condition will only be printed and you can assign these text to the same block in PDF form.

Special Characters not being imported from standard text(SO10) to form

I have created a standard text in SO10 and tried importing it to the adobe form, i created. I have maintained some sentences as highlighted and underlined. Text got imported perfectly on to the form, but the formatting is not being exported. Could you please help me in this issue.

In SO10 go into change/ create mode and from the menu select FORMAT and in this select CHANGE STYLE. A popup with the styles comes up and just slect which ever you want.

How to Maintain documentation (se38) using standard text (SO10)

I have created standard text using SO10. Now I want to include the standard text in documentation (SE38) section of my ABAP program.
I tried using /: INCLUDE 'YTEST' OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE EN
But the standard text is not showing up when I click the documentation icon in the selection screen.
Can you please let me know how to maintain documentation for ABAP programs using Standard Texts.

Hi Mahesh,
In SO10, which format key has been used (AS, /*, /:, *.... to show up in documentation). when you used insert->text-> did you use 'expand immediately' check box. If expand immediately option is used, it won't serve our purpose.

Standard text (SO10) - 'Where used list'

Dear all,
I would know if SAP provide a standard tool that consents to display a 'where used' list for the standard texts.
I mean, this report has to show where the standard text defined via SO10 are used (SAPScripts, Smartforms...).

Class for reading and saving standard text (SO10)

I was using READ_TEXT and SAVE_TEXT to read/save the standard text (S010). Is there any standard class which contains the method to Read and Save the text of SO10?
I have searched the se24, bu i was unable to find class which can be used.

If you do a "where used" on READ_TEXT then you will find plenty of SAP methods that call it, so why not just call it directly yourself? If you do want a class wrapper around it, then it wouldn't take long to build your own "Z_CL_TEXT_HANDLER" class and associated methods.

Use standard text (SO10) in report(SE38) to compose the body of email

hello experts,
here i wanna create the body of email with a format, hence i decide to use Standard Text. in this Standard Text, i also maintain some variable such &p_name&( i remember it works in forms,such script and ssf), while i define p_name as 'demo' in the program and try to transfer p_name to standard text, it fails. while i check the output of standard text, it show &p_name& instead of demo.
could anyone tell me how to realize this function?
