Status of IMP load

Is there anyway to tell how far along an import is during execution....
I have a 8 Gig dmp file with only one table in it.....I'd like to know if I could check the progression to get an idea of how long it's going to take to import this file....
Is there anyway to do this.....

I have tryed according to you advice. The result is that i can connect database successfully only when the database is in the OPEN mode. I use the V$DATABAES table to find the open_mode and of course the result is OPEN, so it's correct.
But when the database is in the MOUNT or NOMOUNT mode, i can't connect the database successfully.It will throw the exception "ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress".
Could you tell me why? Special thanks!!!

Idoc status 51 while loading from R/3 to PSA

hi experts,
I am loading from R/3 to BW (fiar data), the request is in yellow status and running for long time and showing zero(0) records.
i have checked that some of the idocs are not posted.
when i try to push through BD87 still the status is showing 51 only.
can you plz giv solution for this.

Maybe this is due to bugs in the TRFC programs that are solved with the
attached notes:

When deploying an ear file the status is not loaded

I have installed Oracle application server 10g on a Linux CentOS 4.6 server.
When I went to deploy an ear file, it was a success; however, the status in the application at OC4J:home indicates "Not Loaded" and auto start is true. I have searched every where and cannot find the cause of this problem.
The development server on a windows machines works fine when the same file is deplyoed.
Does anyone know what might be the cause. Is there something that I have to configure that I am not aware of?
Any help would be appreciated. Been working on this for two days.

Hi, thanks for the response. I have over 20 EJBs in my ear file. I tried to use the verifier and here is the message that I am getting once I tried to deploy my ear file.
Error
Deployment Error -- Error while running ejbc -- Fatal Error from EJB Compiler -- -- Failed to load deployment descriptor for: account cause: Error parsing J2EE-specific application deployment descriptor: Element type "application" is not declared.
I checked my application.xml and it looks fine to me. please help.

Internal Order Status in delta loads

We are using the standard BW delta extractor for Internal Orders (Data Source :0COORDER_ATTR). We have enhanced the data source to bring in a couple of extra fields including System Status. We find that a Status change in the Internal Order (e.g. from REL TO BUDG) does not trigger a delta & subsequently records with Status changes are not brought into BW. Any suggestions on how to handle Internal Order & WBS Status Changes.

The delta datasource will not be able to pick-up changes in the extra enhanced fields that you might have appended. What I have seen being done in situations like this is to convert the loading from delta to full load. This will take longer but will solve your problem.
If the data volume is very high, then you could keep the existing load as delta, but create another datasource having just the order number and the status for which you can do a full load into 0COORDER master data.

When going to some websites I see my bookmarks showing in status before page loads

On certain websites I get a load slowness. If I look at the status bar I see some of my bookmark toolbar site URL showing before the page I actually typed in to see. Status bar doesn't show actual site I wanted to go to. I deleted the favorite toolbar buttons and site loads fine.
This doesn't happen on all major sites, and not all the time.

Error in loading workflow status page

Hi,
In workflow process , In one place i have a step - In stage D if task is rejected the task it needs to go to stage C. Its able to move to stage C , I get a mail,but the workflow stage status is not loading. It shows error .
For most of the stages its able to display . It happens only with few stages.

Hi Indresh 123,
I would check if you have all the data needed to complete that particular stage. For example, if you check a custom field for a particular value make sure that field has a value (same applies to your workflow variables).
Which project server version are you using? what have you used to build your workflow (visual studio, SP Designer, other)?

Process Chain load step in yellow status

We are having a process chain with a load step.The load step is run with init with data transfer.
The load step is scheduled for the next time without changing the option to delta update.So the load step turned yellow with the background job log stating that delete the init Request ID.
The process chain is scheduled for several times but the load steps are all yellow.I initialized with data transfer and then to delta update.
All the requests in data targets are green.But all the load steps are in yellow.please let me know how to make it green.I tried to change the status of the load step to green manually using the function module rsps_process_finish,but the status is not changing.

From the Cube Manage > Environment > Automatic req processing > Chk Quality status to ok , chk this option if it is not done.

Request Status stays yellow after successful load

We recently started loading two infocubes from the same data source.
- The Monitor shows that the load completed normally with no errors.
- Manage on the first cube shows that the status is green and the data available for reporting.
- Manage on the second cube shows the data is not avaialble and the status is yellow.
There seems to be no problems with the load. I can manualy force the status from yellow to green and the data is available for reporting. But I don't want to have to manully change the status after each load. Any ideas on why the status stays yellow? Any thoughts on what I can do?

Looks like your suggestion will solve this. It was not checked for the one that was staying yellow. It was checked for the cube that would go to green. I'll run a test then come back and award points.

Green load but yellow status

I'm loading 2LIS_03_BX (stock init) into cube 0RT_C37. In the monitor the traffic lights are green as in correct, but when looking in the cube (administration) the lights are yellow.. Lines have been added, but the data is not ready for reporting.
I have tried to re-activate the cube + update rule w/o result. I have used the same data source for loading data into other cubes, so I guess the error lies in the cube or update rule. However, since I do not get any error messages, it's hard to see what's wrong..
What could be the reason for this and how do I solve it?

If your techincal status of your load is green and you see traffic light red inside the cube, you can manually change the QM status to green.

DSO reporting icon was displayed although load status was "Yellow"/"Red"

Hi,
Whilst loading a DSO, I observed that the reporting icon was displayed even when the load was in status "Yellow" and in one instance, the reporting icon displayed even when the status of the load to the DSO was "Red" i.e it had failed. I would reckon that the DSO reporting icon would be displayed only after the load was successful including the activation step. Why then was the reporting icon displaying when the load was not successful.? Is this an SAP bug.

I don't understand this. In a Standard DSO if the Quality Status is set to Automatic then the report shows as Green in the Quality Status Icon. However, data is still in the "New Data Table" and is not yet updated in the Active data table/change log unless the activation is done. If the Activation is done, only the will the data be available in the Active Data table/Change log.
It is only afther this data is available that the reporting icon is displayed.
If the Qualilty status is Yellow/Red the activation cannot be done. In whcih case there is no question of data being available in Active Table/Change log and hence the reporting icon should not be displayed.
Therefore, I am not able to understand the anomalous behavior of the display of the reporting icon even when the Qualtiy Status is Yellow/Green

Return Infopackage Load Status

Hi ,
Requirement is to trigger an info package load through an ABAP program. I have located a function module
'RSSM_SDL_START_INFOPACKAGE' which does the same and used it in my program.
However I also need to track the final status of the load (i.e red / green) in my program and acoordingly make other decisions. But the FM mentioned above is not able to do so.
Please suggest any other FM / any other way out.
