UI Editor refresh problems and Insight not working

Hi all, i'm having 2 problems which are really annoying. Everything used to work fine but suddenly one day 2 problems arose. Number 1, code insight isn't working... I checked my options, played with the delay but when I hit . nothing happens.
My second problem is with the UI Editor.. everytime I try and drag a component it disappears but when I release the mouse it reappears. So lining up components is very painfull to say the least. The component gets "replaced" with a dark gray box and when I drag it around it keeps coloring the editor a dark gray. So if I move the component back to an area it already was, you don't know exactly where it is. God this is so hard to explain.. but if you have experieced it you know what i'm talking about. Any suggestions?

Check to make sure your source directory structure matches your package structure. Open up your Project Settings, and go to "Common->Input Paths" panel, and look at the Java Source Path. Suppose it is something like:
Source Path = g:\jdev_home\jdev\mywork\Workspace1\Project1\src
If your class is located in:
(Source Path)\mypackage1\SomeClass.java
then SomeClass.java should also have a package statement for "mypackage1". If you don't want to use packages in your source file, move your source file up one directory.
Although it is legal to have directory & package structures not match, it is generally not recommended. JDev 9i currently requires that these hierarchies match in order for code insight to work - it can be quite a performance hit otherwise if they do not match if code insight has to search through all your directories to locate a given class.

This is an iPad user to user forum, so you are not addressing Apple. Depending on how many user helpers are on-line, it may take several hours, or longer, to get a response.
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.

Is there a web-app item creation limit? Because i have a very slow saving problem and sometimes not working, hanging

Hello,
We run a real estate website on Business Catalyst.
I created around 50 web-app items ( properties ) at the moment without problems.
But now it starts to slow down, when i trie to save the web -app item, the save preload keeps running ( hanging ) at 50 procent of the time.
It is also hard to scroll true my web-app item pages, also hanging problem.
Does anyone have / had a simular problem?

We experience big performance problems with BC's v3 interface ever since they switched to Amazon last December. You are lucky if it's only slow uploading, we, meaning our clients and us, experiencing very often the editor timing out when saving or uploading, the wheel of death starts turning and does not stop. It does not happen with the development editor or sftp.
We have opened several tickets but the BC support is absolutely useless, they always reply that they could not replicate the issue.
Our clients and us are completely fed up with this issue, sometimes losing your work, sometimes just being unable to get it done, but BC does not seem to get this under control, or they put the EU data center on a low cost backbone....
If anyone has a solution, we gladly take it!

Now, you have old cities/qf on your phone because you started with Maps 2.0 which used incompatible map data. Please, on your phone delete the folder cities and the file qf. These are in the at the start (root directory) of your storage. Then on your phone, open Maps and browse a bit around. That re-creates cities/qf. Now try the Nokia Suite again. Does it show the countries? Good. Now it should work. If not, please, report.

I can’t just export to word as I have done in the past in one simple click.
Convert to button is greyed out.
Now I have to save the pdf file on c drive when I am in outlook…then goto export pdf file…then find file then export to word.
I bought new computer with windows 8 (which is awful) and then bought pdf export again…
Any thoughts on how I can get back to one simple click again when I open a pdf file from an email in outlook?

Both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

Keyboard and Trackpad Not Working; Mac OSX Unexpectedly Quit?

Hey everyone... I think I may need to stop by the Apple store to figure this one out, but I just wanted to make sure if there was anything I could do on my own first.
So basically, on my MacBook Pro that I got nearly two years ago (late September of 2006) for the past month and a half has had problems. In the beginning, the mouse and keyboard would freeze up and just not work. Restarting the comp did nothing. Some times were worse than others (once it was frozen for 1.5 hours). Then it stopped, every now and then having a few freezes (sometimes when the keyboard froze but the trackpad was still good), but two days ago I had my comp not hooked up to an adapter. When the battery got low, the comp froze. I went to bed and closed the laptop, and the next day it was still frozen. I unfroze it, but then it happened again (I'm pretty sure the same situation... almost no battery)... and it is still frozen, even after multiple restarts.
Also, during the time when freezes weren't as bad, sometimes the keyboard would get stuck on one key, usually the volume up button (very annoying)... then I was told to restart the comp. When I came back, I was told that Mac OS X had unexpectedly quit.
Sorry that was a lot to read, but any help is really appreciated! Thanks!
Not sure if this is also important, but I did spill some water on the keyboard a very long time ago (late December '06)... it wouldn't take this long for that to cause the problem, would it?

Does booting up in [Safe Mode|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455?viewlocale=en_US] help at all? This boot mode checks the disk on startup and disables non-apple start up items and certain kernel extensions.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If so - use Finder - View menu - Show View options & choose 'Arrange by' : none

Works perfectly fine for me with the latest Reader version (11.0.09).
You write that it worked "before"; before what? An update? Update from what version to what version?

2 of 4 speakers and Subwoofer not working for Altec Lansing Lucasfilms THX Surround (circa 2003)

I am attempting to connect my Altec Lansing Lucasfilm THX 5.1 sound system to my HP ENVY All-in-one. I think the original audio card for the sound system came on a Dell with Soundblaster.
I have connected the green audio to the jack in the back which only gets 2 of the 4 speakers working (even after configuring the speakers). The subwoofer is connected to the sub jack in the back panel as well and is not working at all. I realize that I am trying to have an ancient sound system work with my fancy new HP Envy. Am I asking too much?? I thought maybe a driver update might be needed. But in theory, if those jacks are available in the back it should work (she says optimistically).
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

It sounds like you have the speakers connected correctly. If there is only one connector for all of the speakers, it may be that you will only be able to use two of them. However, I am not certain why the subwoofer isn't working. Is it selected in the Control Panel / Sound? I realize that you said the speakers are configured in the Control Panel, but is the subwoofer separate?
I have an old (2001) Polk Audio set of speakers. I have only been able to get two of them and the subwoofer to work with my new HP computer. It sounds fine without the other two speakers.
