Unit of measure changed in BOM not reflected in Production order

We noticed the following problem in one of our production order.
1. We have a bom component having a unit of measure MT.
2. A planned order already exists for this header material.
3. We changed the unit of masure in the same BOM component to KG.
4. We processed the production order and did confirmations and did auto GR.( Value 20 times high)
5. The cost at GR is very high , although the material consumption is considering the changed unit of measure KG.
Any possible solution to this problem,
Thanks,
Manohar

All steps suggested including read PP master data , rerun MRP and generate a new planned order and then convert to a new production order, have been done but the effect at 101 remains same with high actual costs.
The production order is acocunt-assigned to a WBS.
In table QBEW , the standard price is updated as very high. We havs S as price control in header material master.
May be , some one has some idea about how the standard price in Table QBEW gets updated. What is the source for this standard price which gets updated on doing GR ( It comes to project stock and we see the standard price being very high and so the actual cost is very high)
Thanks,
Manohar

  • Production Version Not Reflecting in Production Order

    Hi Experts,
I have a query, I have made alternative BOM and second Production Version of a FG Today. Production Version is very much Ok (Green). I have clearly mentioned Alternative BOM 2 in alternative bom.
When creating production order thru CO01, production version is not coming in Co01. Message is coming " No valid production version is found for this material".
Kindly confirm me what mistakes I have done.

    Dear G R,
1.Check whether your prod.version has been locked and what value have you maintained in MRP4 view
BOM selection method.check whether has it got the value 02.
2.Also in OPL8 - under planning tab select the option for manual selection of production version.
    check and revert back.
3.Also check the validity dates. Also your production order start date.

  • No of operations in routing &Overlapping not reflection in Production order

    Greeting for all gurus.
    Process
We have three set of operations , one will be blend, , other will be cured and the third will be finished goods.
Basically one FG and three components , the components will be consumed in the first process. The same  FG materials will be used for the 2nd / 3 rd Process
,1)  we want to confirm the first set by making auto GR/GI
    2) The Overlapping is 8 weeks , the 2nd operation should start , after that and the third operation should wait for 6 days . 2ND  operation  is confirmation only.
    3) The third will be for standard process, Only GR
We have to use the same materials . Say 1st process O/P will be 50,000 and second process will be 40,000 and third will be 30,000. We want to account the loss in between the 1st and 3rd operation . 2 nd operation , no need to record .
    Requirements  - Discrete Manufacturing
u2022     How to set the control key for three operations.
u2022     How to confirm every stage in a single production order.
u2022     How to  consider all the operation days in the Production order
u2022     How to report loss in various stages
u2022     How to print all the operation at various stages in the shop floor
Any help will be highly appreciated
    Thanks
    JJ

    Thank you very much
As you use single production order, input the overlapping time in routing in "Min Overlapping time" = 8 weeks (in no. of working days) for the first operation and 6 days for the second operation after selecting "Required Overlapping". ( If you mean it as wait time, you can control the same with the wait time in work center).
----I already set it , but it is not considering the days , it took only the base qty and no of hrs calculation
in the prod order ,Our base qty and hrs will set for two hrs only . the remaining 6 weeks is not consider -
With Single Production order, you cannot do goods receipt after the first operation. Since 2nd and 3rd operation are pending, why do you want to do goods receipt at this stage?
----- We want to account the loss , as it will be loosing pounds at various stage -
Carry out confirmation for the sequence of operations in CO11N with the yield qty and use reason for variance as the loss of qty. Using confirmation tables, create z-report to know the actual qty after the last operation. ..
--- Where to set the sequence of operation - i am getting error , No zero sequence ---
I want the system to consider the 7 weeks for this production time. How to do this ?
You can print the operations from pull-down menu in CO02 - order - settings - List control - Op. control ticket

  • Sale order reflecting in production order

    Hai All,
    I have following scenario.
I have two plants A and B.  A is depo and B is manufacturing plant. product  after manufacturing is transferred from manufacturing plant ( B) to Depo ( A) through stock transport order. Now sales order is placed on depo as the sale happens from here. stratgey group 50 is maintianed at both the locations A and B. Now the requirement is passed on to manufacturing plant from Depo through special procurement.  Now when we do MRP run planned order gets genereted at B manufacturing plant. When I am converting this planned order to production order sale order number is not reflected in the production order. I want sale order number to be reflected in production order. what strategy group i have to maintain at plant B i.e.  manufacturing plant.  Kindly guide me what to do.

    Hi,
Strategy 50 is MTO strategy so you will  find the assignment of sales order in planned order.
Check whether you using right requirement type for it, it should be KEV.

  • Inactive BOM still can create Production Order

    Hello,
we can still do CO01 and CO41 and save it to create a production order even the BOM was been inactive already, and the material we use has Selection Method in MRP4 set as 3 = Selection only by production version.
but as we check the PO 100021563 it is master data tab we see it pick production version ACA, which has BOM alternative 1 (status 02 already) this is inactive so it must not pick by the production order this production version. the active alternative BOM is 4 today and in the MRP4 its production version is ACD this is valid for us for the material to be produce a PO.
how it happen when we create the PO 100021563 pick inactive alt bom by means of picking a production version ACA? please help us for this one how could we limit this material when doing CO01 or CO41 will not pick production version with alt BOm inactive already.
    please SIVA and R.BRAHAMANKAR
    thanks

    Hello,
those three production version has also three alternative bom which is already inactive, the remaining PV4 is the one with new and active alternative bom, but in our case when doing production order SAP pick PV1 which has already inactive bom in it. we expect PV4 will be the one to pick to have an Order, but when PV1,PV2, and PV3 this will not allowed any production order to be create since it enclose ALT BOM was in status 02.
and also does in MRP4, under the selection method, INDIVIDUAL/COLL can affect the selection of production version when creating order? what does the following works:
    blank = ?
    1 = individuals requirements only
    2 = collective requirements only
    thanks

  • Material Cost Not Shown in Production Order if planned with MD50

    Hi,
We have run MRP MD50 for a sale order item ie FERT material which has BOM Items. All the stock of the BOM items is tranfered from Unrestricted Stock to Sales order stock. FERT ITEM planned order is converted to Production Order and all the BOM items sales order stock is issued against PO & Sales order no with Movement Type 261E.
After confirmation and goods receipt stock of FERT is shown under sales order Stock of Fert Material.
We can see the cost of operations but cost of materials consumed against the Production order is not displayed in Production order Cost analysis..How material cost can be displayed????
If i create PO with out refering the sale order that is normal process i can see the cost of materials triggering in Production Order.
Can we settle the varience when we are planning against sale order???
    Some one Pl help us.
    John

    Dear,
Check your variant which showes the cost. See the following report
KKAC - For Sales Order with Assigned Orders  or
KKBC_KUN - For Sales Order or

  • Phantom Assembly not exploding in production order

    Hi All,
We are using phantom assembly as a BOM component.
When we create a planed order from MD03 or MD02 and try to convert this planed order to production order the components of Phantom assembly are not explode in production order. When I tried with read PP master data option it get explode.
Can you please let me know the reason?
    Thanks,
    SAP PQ

    Dear ,
Couple of points on this issue which may help you understand the problem  : Bom Explosion With Phantom Assemblies will happen based on the following set up .
    1. You need to maintain the special procurement key-50 for the phantom Assembly
in the MRP 2 View of the material master
    2. We can override the Phantom Assembly Setting by defining in SPRO --->
Define Explosion Types so that MRP Creates Procurement Propasals for the
Phantom Assembly itself.ie We can Swith off the Phantom Assembly Settings.
This settting need to be defined in the BOM Item details screen in the Basic
Data Tab Page under MRP Area.
So check in your Bom whether switch off phantom assembly is defined.Make the Explosion Type-Blank
3.Run MRP Single Item - Multi level - Transaction MD02 with Planning Mode 2 : 'Re-explode BOM and Routing'. The Phantom Item will now get exploded correctly in the Planned Order.
4.Check the Validity of the BOM  and planning date
5.Check the MRP4 set up in FG where you have kept the BOM/Routing selection
6.Check wether dependent requirement  material master -MRP4 view -MRP  for Depent Requ should be blank .
Check the above points and come back
    Regards

    Hi,
Could you pl. explain how the production order is created?
Also did you try by choosing Function in the menu (CO02 transaction) & try to set deletion flag or Technically complete?
If so did you get any error message ?

  • Change of planning plant in the production Order

    Dear Sapians
Please suggest me how we can change the planning plant in the production order once it is saved and confirmed before taking goods receipt.
    Thanks
    GVRR

    Hi Prasanna,
    1. Order is with material
    2. This order is created independently
    3. yes there are dependent requirements
Scenario is we have created Production orders with X plant. Later after confirmation and before GRN planning plant is changed as per the business decission. Now client wants to receive the goods in new planning plant.
I want to know, How can business area and functional area help us to receive the goods in changed planning plant scenario. can we maintain the plant values in this fields.

  • Scheduling parameters are not defined for production orders

    Hi All,
when i convert the planned order to production order  i got this massage popup coming  Scheduling parameters are not defined for production orders . please let me know this .

    Hi,
One of major customization steps for the order type is missing. Run OPU3 and maintain settings for the order type you are using. You may copy settings from an older type.
    Regards.

  • Target cost and actual cost not picking in production order

    Hello,
The target cost and actual cost is not updating in production order when I display it in CO03 in cost analysis.
Even though we have maintained planned price in KP26.
Please suggest how it can be populated.
    Best Regards,
    Tapan

    Hi Tapan
    For Target cost
    1. Your std cost must be released before Goods Receipt
    2. There must be goods receipt posted on the prod order
    3. You must calculate variances in KKS1/2
    For Actual Cost
    1. Post Goods receipt and Goods issues
    2. See if any mat movements are pending in COGI
    3. Ensure that operation is confirmed in PP and no entry is lying in COFC
    Regards

  • Add/change multiple operations on a released Production Order

How can I add/change multiple operations on a released Production Order...I know how to add them manually one by one but is there a better way to add...like copy/paste since i am adding operations from an alternate route? Please advise?

    Hy Aziz,
In process order go to operation screen go to Operation - Include Master recipe, then one pop up comes select required Master recipe and add operations of your interest.
But there are some restriction which doesn/t allow it if Inspection Lot, Control Recipe are created..

  • GR for production order post to cost center and not to the production order

    Hi all,
when we post the goods receipt for the finished product against the production order (mov. type 101), the order is not credited with the corresponding stock value. Instead of this, the value accounts to a cost center.
We specified this cost center in OKB9 (Default account assignment), because if not, we get an error when posting the goods receipt cause of lacking accounting object.
I can't see why the system does not credit the production order?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your time
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,
This is the first time i am coming across an issue like this.
    neverthless from a logical front,
    1. Remove Cost center as a valid receiver in Settlement Profile.
    2. Your OKB9 setting are pretty much good. No need to worry about it.  Becasue, OKB9 only will work if the system doesn't identify any other cost object. In this case Production Order is an automatic cost object which system should have taken.
    3. Check the Settlement rule when you have created Production Order. It should have been MAT.
    4. I hope you are creating Production Order with Material (using CO01 and not CO07)
    5. Make sure in OPL8, the default rule in controlling tab is PP1.
Once all these are fine, i do not see any reason why you will get your probelm.
Please check and revert back to me if the problem still persists.
    Best Regards

Earlier both plan and activity prices were getting upadated but now actual price is not updating for any material. I have tried at the same material also but it is not getting updated.
