Windows SDK Import Libraries

Hi,
I am trying to use win32 calls that are not included in kernel32.lib,
gdi32.lib and user32.lib thus I have to add import libraries to the
project. Reading cvi\sdk\sdkfuncs.txt I determined that the three
functions I need (cmc_logon, cmc_logoff and cmc_send) are located in
mapi32.lib.
So in project I do Edit->Add files to project->library and select
cvi\sdk\lib\mapi32.lib. It pops into the project view.
After build project I get
Undefined symbol 'cmc_logoff' referenced in "smtp.c"
Undefined symbol 'cmc_logon' referenced in "smtp.c"
Undefined symbol 'cmc_send' referenced in "smtp.c"
Which are exactly the same errors if I don't include mapi32.lib in the
project.
Where have I gone wrong? As far as I can tell these ro
utines should now
link.
This is using NT 4.0, service pack 6a, Labwindow version 5.0
Thanks,
Bob

Adding the lib file to your project is not sufficient to use its functions.
You also need the function definitions. According to MSDN, CMC function definitions
are located in "xcmc.h" header file, which should be present in cvi\sdk\include.
So, simply add the following line at the beginning of your source file "smtp.c":
#include

  • Use of WIN-SDK Import libraries

How can we use Win32 SDK import libraries( *.lib) in our forms. I am not asking of DLL,
of course we can use a DLL with ora_ffi, But my problem is the use of Microsoft SDK for windows. Because Microsoft windows API documentation is based on Import libraries(*.lib) so we can not have the detailed information of DLLs, Thats why i am interested in use of (*.lib) import libraries.

  • Are there any specific codecs or import libraries that will make Premiere 6 use more file types?

Are there any specific codecs or import libraries that will allow Premiere 6 to import more file types?  I'm using Premiere 6 on Windows 7.
It seems that the only kind of file that can be imported in to this version of Premiere are certain types of AVI files... even some types of AVIs will import but then will not appear when placed in the timeline... no MPGs, MP4s, WMVs, or anything else will import at all.
Virtually every file that I need to bring in to Premiere 6 has to be converted to AVI with the H.264 codec first.
    Any help would be helpful.

    Hi Bill and John,
    Thanks for your replies.
My inquiry isn't as much to do with the AVIs that won't import as it is to do with figuring out the way that I can make MPGs, MP4s, MOVs and WMVs import in to Premiere 6.
The AVIs that do import were converted or created using the H.264 codec.  I do know a little about codecs, but I don't hold the PhD in codecs that is apparently required to completely understand them.
Below is the chart from the Premiere Elements 4 page at this link... http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402540.html
So, if I understand correctly, Bill is saying the Premeire Elements 4 is actually newer than Premiere 6 and that the Pr Elements apps will actually import more movie file formats than the regular versions of Premiere and Premiere Pro?... for someone trying to learn about these apps, one must admit that this seems to be reverse logic... this would be saying that Adobe gave the cheaper "consumer" versions of Premiere the ability to work with 3 or 4 more movie file formats than the more expensive "pro-sumer" version of Premiere.

The built-in web browser instruction manual in Premiere 6 shows this statement on the "Importing Clips" page, as shown in my screenshot linked above...
"File format support is provided by plug-in software  modules. Over time, additional or updated file formats may be available  from Adobe or other manufacturers, such as QuickTime."
This indicates that additional file format support can be added to Premiere 6 by "plug-in software modules", and that "over time, additional or updated file formats" were predicted to become available that would be supported by the file format manufacturers, such as Adobe themselves and other manufacturers such as QuickTime.
Since that was written ten years ago or more, there has certainly been the chance for these additional "plug-in software modules" to be developed "over time"... so I'm asking, "Where are they available?"
What I'm saying is, I will do my homework to earn at least my Bachelor's degree in codecs, but more than an education in codecs, I need to find these mysterious, "plug-in software modules" for Premiere 6 that Adobe wrote about and referred to over ten years ago.
Thanks for any clues as to where to locate these "plug-in software modules".

    Hi,
This problem usually occurs when you are installing from an ISO build for a different architecture.
Windows SDK now have different ISO’s for different architectures. Please download the correct ISO based on your system platform and architecture type.

  • Importing libraries

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to Java and have a question about importing libraries into my code.
A quick rundown of my system:
Have a sphinx4 speech recognition engine which recognizes movement commands for a robot, such as move forward ten feet, or turn left thirty degrees.
My robot, coded in PBASIC is set to await data from a bluetooth serial port.
When sphinx4 recognizes a command, it sends a series of bytes to my robots microcontroller, via the serial port.
I am trying to use simpleserial(http://web.media.mit.edu/~benres/simpleserial/) to code my java to transmit bytes over the serial connection.
    My question:
How do i properly install the *.java libraries of simpleserial in order to use them in my code. I have tried adding the *.java files to a home folder such as:
    sphinx4\simpleserial\SimpleSerial.java
    etc..
    for each file
In my code, I tried using:
    import simpleserial.SimpleSerial;
    etc..
    When I compile, it says that sphinx4\simpleserial\SimpleSerial.java does not contain the class path for simpleserial.SimpleSerial;
    Any ideas?

    rotary9k wrote:
The files that I need to include are SimpleSerial.java and SimpleSerialNative.java. The zip file that I downloaded contains the .class files for these, so that means they are already compiled right?Yes.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Put the jar file in your classpath", could you elaborate a bit more.First -- you downloaded a zip file? Not a .jar file? I believe that both use .zip compression, but a .jar file is the traditional way to distribute Java binaries (compiled classes).
The classpath is a value that tells the Java virtual machine and the compiler where to find classes to use. You can specify it as an environment variable, or as an argument to the java and javac programs (e.g., on a Windows machine, java.exe and javac.exe). In IDEs the classpath is more integrated and might not be described as "classpath".
Basically you just set the classpath to include the jar file, like this on a unix system:
export CLASSPATH=yourJarFile.jar:$CLASSPATHfor an environment variable, or on the command line like this:
    javac -classpath=yourJarFile.jar TheClassYouWantToCompile.javaetc.
There are tutorials on this site that go into more detail.

  • CVI 2013 and Windows SDK

    Hi,
I just downloaded and installed Labwindows/CVI 2013 full development system on my new computer.
    It's a Win7 64 bit computer.
Do I have to do any additional installations to use Windows SDK functions, or is it included in the typical installation?
    Thanks,
    Kirk
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Unless in 2013 something has changed, normally you must explicitly select the corresponding option in order to have the SDK installed. You must perform the setup again and expand the CVI item in the product tree, next select "Interface to the Win32 API" item: the appropriate libraries and include files  will then be installe on your system.
Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

  • An integrity error during the installation of windows sdk 8.1

Hello, I'm having troubles in intalling the windows sdk 8.1 here is what I'm facing here and my connection is good:

    Hi,
thanks to the steps of the webpage you have posted I´ve seen the code of the error in the log of my computer:
error 0x80073D0A: when trying to install the package XXXXXXXX, the system couldn´t register the extension windows.repositoryExtension owing to the next error: The package couldn´t be installed because the service "Firewall of Windows" is
not running. Enable the service "Firewall of Windows" and try again.
It matches with one of the codes of your link.
I think this question should be fixed. I (and I suppose much more people) already have a Firewall different than Microsofts´one and I want to have access to the Windows Store running only my "third-part firewall". Having two Firewalls running is a waste
    of resources.

    9) This time when I rebuilt the installer for my application the build was successful.
    Additional information:
When I built my application I only selected English for language
support. In Install builder in "Dialog Information I also selected
    English.
I haven't attempted to try the installer on my target yet so I'm not
quite sure how successful I really was but at least I have a installer.
Let me know if this also works for you.

  • Latest Windows SDK That is Comatible with VS2005

I've got a legacy application written in VS2003 on XP supporting a camera using Direct Show.
I'm am moving over to VS2005 on Win7 32 (there is a reason for this). When compiling I run into all sorts of error issue with various platform and Directshow header files. Most of these are dated <=2003. I'm hoping these errors will go away in by updating
to VS2005 (I must use this for another reason) and using a newer version of the Windows SDK and DirectX SDK
    Questions:
What is the latest version of the Window SDK that will work in VS2005
What is the latest version of the Direct X (I'm just using the Direct Show subset) that will work in VS2005.
I'm just trying to eliminat all the compile header file issue I've run into.
    Thanks!!

    Hi Randy,
I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum for this issue.
What is the latest version of the Window SDK that will work in VS2005?
I found some information about the VS and Windows SDK:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Windows_SDK
Since it is related to the Windows SDK, I think you could get useful information from the Windows Desktop SDK like this thread:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsdesktop/ru-RU/771e0f2f-8e2e-48a3-b987-349aabf15e24/cannot-build-solution-in-vs2005-with-windows-7-sdk?forum=windowssdk
What is the latest version of the Direct X (I'm just using the Direct Show subset) that will work in VS2005.
For this issue, you could post this issue here:

    Thanks for your understanding.

  • ITunes Windows SDK IITUserPlaylist::AddFile access violation

Hello. I am just try to write simple program for some practice. But iTunes COM for Windows SDK threw me a little surprise.
I am want to create playlist and add file to it but when i call IITUserPlaylist::AddFile program crash with access violation. I can all other methods like Delete etc.
    Project (MSVC10): http://www76.zippyshare.com/v/34795637/file.html
    Main.cpp: http://pastebin.com/iMYbXwez
If i call IITLibraryPlaylist::AddFile all was right.
Just uncomment 95 or 96 line for test.
    Simple C# code works fine:
    iTunesApp itunes = new iTunesLib.iTunesApp();
    IITUserPlaylist playlist = itunes.CreatePlaylist("C# playlist") as IITUserPlaylist;
    IITOperationStatus status = playlist.AddFile("C:\\test.mp3");
    Help me please

I use vbScript for writing iTunes scripts, and I'm really not familiar with C#, but I think you're sending two arguments into the function when only one is required.
As a guess either of these would work:
    mainLibrary->AddFile(filePath);
    &status=mainLibrary->AddFile(filePath);
Depending on whether or not you are going to check the status code to see if the call was successful.

  • Windows/Oracle Import/Export

    Hi,
is it possible to export a Database from Windows/Oracle 9.2 as a dump file
and import it then with Linux/Oracle 9.2?
If Yes, do i need any specific Oracle Client on Windows?
    Thank You
    Daniel

There is no problem with export dump file on cross platforms. The only restriction, is, you have to import either in the same version of oracle or higher version of oracle. You can't import into lower version of export dump.
You are using same oracle version, i.e. 9.2, it won't be any problem for export from windows and import on linux.
One more thing, if you ftp dump file to linux server, make sure you made through binary mode, otherwise, import will fail.

  • Windows WiFi Import Policy not applying

Quoting from the following TechNet article:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn818903.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396
Additionally, for devices that run Windows 8.1 and later, you can import a Wi-Fi configuration profile that was previously exported
    to a file.
It is not quite clear to me what "devices that run Windows 8.1" are supposed to include. I took it to include Windows 8.1 (Enterprise)
clients with the Intune Agent installed. However when I create an Windows WiFi Import policy and apply this to a group which contains a windows 8.1 notebook the policy is not applied.
It does not seem to be that the policy
failed, it does not seem to be applied at all. When checking the policy log it states that 4 policies have been found an applied, which are the default set: Hardware inventory, Software inventory, Intune Center Policy and Intune Agent policy.
So is this supposed to work?
On a related note: The article linked above states you can export the Wlan policy to include in a Windows WiFi import policy with the following command:
    netsh wlan export profile MyConnection
Is this not supposed to have an added key=clear argument? I understood that the password encryption used in the export (without key=clear) is only decryptable by the machine on which the export was made. But I may misremember..

This works when you manage devices with Win 8.1 via OMA-DM agent. This policy won't work for Win 8.1 devices with Intune
    ("fat") client.
