0COPC_C04

Hello Experts
we are loading the data into cube: 0COPC_C04 Inventory valuation: material prices and inventory values. For this cube there are 6 different infosource that is supplying the data into cube.
1. 0CO_PC_ACT_05
2. 0CO_PC_ACT_07
3. 0CO_PC_ACT_06
4. 0CO_PC_ACT_02
5. 0CO_PC_ACT_04
6. 0CO_PC_ACT_03
These all are full uploads.
1. Do we have to follow any sequence to upload this data into cube.
Out of six sources only 4 infosources are scheduled 0CO_PC_ACT_02 ,  0CO_PC_ACT_03 , 0CO_PC_ACT_05 , 0CO_PC_ACT_06 and in all the infopackages under data target tab Automatic loading of similar/identical requests from the infocube is selected.
2. Is it not mandatory to schedule all the infosources? where i can documentation about this cube?
Thanks in advance
Annie

Hi Annie,
2. I don’t think all datasources/infosources are mandatory. Infosources 2, 3, 4 supply info about ending inventories; 5, 6, 7 – about material prices. Theorethically you may have ending inventory without material prices. Moreover, 2 & 5 IS are needed for total stock; 4 & 7 – for total valuated stock; 3 & 6 – for sales orders stock.
So, if you need to have all this info, you’ll use all these DS/IS.
As you’ve written IS 4 & 7 are not scheduled for load. Probably, your company is not interested in total valuated stock.
1. I don’t think that the sequence of load is important. If yu look at update rules, you’ll see that 2, 3 & 4 ISs load data not overlapping with 5, 6, & 7 IS. So, these two groups can be load independently. ISs within a group (for example 2, 3 & 4 within the 1st group) should be divided by stock/valuation type. They shouldn’t overwrite the previous load. They may be loaded independently.
About missing in the cube requests from 4 & 7 infosources – As you wrote, infopackages from this ISs have not been scheduled. No load was done for them. That’s why there is no requests for them.
Best regards,
Eugene

    Dear All,
Im in a Strange situation kindly help me.
I have successfully loaded the data to the  cube - 0COPC_C04(standard cube)using the following data sources
    0CO_PC_ACT_02
    0CO_PC_ACT_05
Customers business started fron Mar 2008, but the the reports based on this are showing values for only Current  and previous months and also the last month of previous year.Im not getting the values for other months.
I've checked in cube also its showing same, only 2 months values.
Why its behaving like that? is there any specific reason?how to get rest of the months data?
    Kindly help me.
    Regards,
    Yunus
Can some one tell me what is the reason?

    Hi,
Are you maintaining Material Ledger in R/3?  If you are not, you will have only values for the periods mentioned.
Take a look at these links:

  • 0COPC_C04 : Material Ledger Inactive for valuation area

I ran RSA3 for 0CO_PC_ACT_02 and 0CO_PC_ACT_05 and I get 1000 records respectively. I ran the info package to load this data into BW to 0COPC_C04 . I am getting a message in the status tab " Job termination in the source system". When I look at the job log , it says " Material ledger not active for abcd Valuation area".
SO I went to OMX1 and I beleive that a while back there was a change to do company code valuation , which got changes to plant valuation ,so this is what I see in the screen:
    Valuation area = 0001
    Company Code = abcd
    Price Det. = 3
and there is this one records which shows :
    Valuation area = abcd
    Company code = abcd
    Price determination = 3
and it is not check marked under ML Act . This is only in the dev box , it was fixed in QA and Prod. But never fixed in Dev.
I am not sure , what to do , also I am not sure if this is what is causing the problem.
    Thanks

    Can some one guide me?

  • How To load data in 0COPC_C04 Invntory Cube?

    Dear All,
I have one inventory cube 0COPC_C04 with Periodic Ending Inventories (Project Stock 0CO_PC_ACT_04) and Periodic Ending Inventories (Sales Order Stocks 0CO_PC_ACT_03) data sources.
Both data sources have Fullload with fiscal year.
For testing i have loaded data without fiscal year/Period in cube, while report testing with R/3 getting double value.
What is the procedure for loading data in this cube? And any other data sources data required?
    Regards
    Ramu

    Hi ,
For this particular Cube and datasource, SAP recommends that you load the data following period-end closing for the closed period.
You can load the data selectively based on the following characteristics :
    Company code
    Plant
    Material
Price category (only in the case of InfoSources for material prices)
    Fiscal year/period
Check the below link for additional information:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm32/helpdata/en/51/7fe767107211d48b390000e83234f3/content.htm
In Fiscal year/period in infopackage you can use this OLAP variable : 0P_PRFP1 to load the data . This OLAP variable will work according to the fiscal year variant you will provide in infopackage .
To view the standard code behind this OLAP variable check the code of this FM : RSVAREXIT_0P_PRFP1.
Hope the above reply was helpful.
    Kind Regards,

  • 0COPC_C04 -  0fiscper missing

    Hi Experts!
I have a very strange situation..
I have the  the extractor 0CO_PC_ACT_02 and is executed dairy and the (historic) stock is saved in the infocube.
This have been running ok from 012.2007 until  29/02/08.
Now the month 001.2008 'dissapeared' in the cube!!,  and still records for 012.2007, 002.2008 and 003.2008.
When I run the infopackage as full-update with 0FISCPER =001.2008 selection, no records are found
I belive that 'something' change in R/3...
    How can I verify this???

Check the database tables MBEW and MBEWH
The available data is taken from the current period, the previous period, and the last period of the previous year.
If the material ledger is active, then:
        * The inventory value is managed in all valuations
        * The data is available for all periods
        * Tables CKMLHD, CKMLPP, and CKMLCR are required
    Recommendation:
SAP recommends that you load the data following period-end closing for the closed period.

  • QuickSizer BI

    hello Gurus
I want to do the sizing with the quick sizer from marketplace, but i don t have clearly the terms, please send me info about sizing in BI, the help indicates:
    <b>Business Intelligence
SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence      Find information about SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence at  the Service Marketplace -> Business Intelligence, for example information about Performance Tuning.
    User Groups Business Planning
    Planning 1,
    Planning 2,
    Planning 3      Definition
The general idea is to define user groups which are determined by the number and size of data records they work with and the types of planning functions they execute. If you are not sure exactly how many data are involved, you can take the proposed values, which are  based on internal measurements and customer feedback.
Specifics for User Groups Business Planning
    Users
Estimate the highest number of active users per hour. Opposed to other sizing approaches in the Quick Sizer you can arbitrarily include users in a specific group. Normally the user groups reflect the fact that you have power, medium and occasional users (example at "Planning steps per user").
    Planning steps per user
Estimate the peak number of planning steps per user and hour.
Example for "Users" and "Planning steps per user"
A user carries out six planning functions, the first three work on the same set of data (5,000 records), the other ones each work on separate set of 600 records. If this sequence is carried out every 20 minutes, we were faced with 18 planning steps per hour and user.
Average number of data records per planning step
A planning step always contains exactly one planning function, for example a formula function. If that planning sequences are used, these cannot be calculated as a planning step, instead the number of planning functions contained must be entered.  The average number of data records manipulated by one single planning step has an impact on the CPU time consumed by a user.
          Example
          In our example we have an average of 2,800 ( = (3 * 5,000 + 3 * 600) / 6) records per planning step.
          Note
o The term planning step is often understood from a business view, where it means a total run of a planning area. Here, we take a functional perspective.
o The memory requirement and CPU consumption is estimated on the basis of this data. To determine memory requirements, we assume that there is an average data record length of 1KB.
    Maximum data per planning step
Estimate the maximum number of data records manipulated by one single planning step.
          Example
As mentioned above the planning functions work through different sets of data. The maximum number is 5,000 per hour and user.
    Maximum data per user
Estimate the maximum number of data records a user holds in memory simultaneously. This is needed to estimate the memory consumption of a user.
          Example
Take the example mentioned above. If the user doesn't leave the transaction, he holds 6,800 (5,000 + 600 + 600 + 600) records in memory. Please keep in mind, that the set of data is the sum of records read and records created
    Comment
Editing/creating data records is achieved by planning functions or manual planning. We do not differentiate between these two types for sizing, as both of them are used to manipulate data records.
We only size "User Groups Business Planning". NetWeaver BI server must be sized separately.  However, the sizing result includes the part of NetWeaver BI that is used to deliver the transaction data to "User Groups Business Planning". For sizing the load generated on the NetWeaver BI system by "User Groups Business Planning" we assume that 30% of all executed planning steps access NetWeaver BI. For the remaining 70% of the planning steps we assume that they manipulate data records which have already been read by NetWeaver BI.
    BI Users
    BI-INFO,
    BI-BUSIN.,
    BI EXPERT      Definition
In NetWeaver BI, we distinguish roughly between user types according to their frequency of activity and the reporting they will normally do.
Active User Type       Navigation Steps per Hour       This user will predominantly ...
Information Consumer      1      ... view predefined and static reports
Business User      11      ... navigate within reports, do slicing and dicing, but usually hit aggregates
BI  Expert       33 and more      ... run ad-hoc queries with a high probability of full table scans
A navigation step includes drilling down in the reports and corresponds to nine dialog steps in the SD benchmark. If you don't know the user distribution, a typical ratio in the NetWeaver BI environment is 71% : 26% : 3% (Information Consumer : Business User : BI Expert).
    Comment
The system automatically calculates the Java parts which are shown at the result level.
If BI Java is not used, you should add 5 % to the SAPS of the application server.
    User Groups Reporting & Analysis
         Definition
Collection of a selection of characteristics and key figures (InfoObjects) for the analysis of the data of an InfoProvider. A query always refers exactly to one InfoProvider, whereas you can define as many queries as you like for each InfoProvider.
For sizing purposes we distinguish between three query types which are defined by the load they create in the system.
Report Viewing: Predefined, static, reports using optimal aggregates
OLAP Analysis: Slicing and dicing, navigating in reports, using various aggregates
Data Exploration: Data mining, that is ad-hoc reports with unpredictable navigation paths, access of detail data, full table scans
Any user can do any type of query. However, experience shows a certain activity pattern, as you can see in the table below.
Query Type       Report Viewing      OLAP Analysis      Data Exploration      Total Percent
    Information Consumer      80%      20%      0%      100%
    Business User      50%      50%      0%      100%
    BI Expert       0%      0%      100%      100%

         Definition
The central objects upon which reports and analyses in NetWeaver BI are based, are called InfoCubes. An InfoCube describes (from a reporting point of view) a self-contained dataset, for example, of a business-orientated area.
An InfoCube has a particular type:
BasicCube which is a collection of relational tables arranged according to the star schema: A large fact table in the center, surrounded by several dimension tables.
MultiCube which is based on the basic cube. It combines data from several BasicCubes/RemoteCubes, and brings it together into one context. The MultiCube itself does not contain any data; its data comes exclusively from the BasicCubes it is based on.
RemoteCube to carry out reporting using data in external systems without having to physically store transaction data in NetWeaver BI.
Only BasicCubes physically contain data on the database. MultiCubes and RemoteCubes simply display logical views of a dataset. The InfoCube type is not important, as far as reporting is concerned. A query definition always refers to one InfoCube. The difference between the InfoCube types becomes important at the point when you select data for the query.
InfoCube types: From the list below you can choose additional InfoCubes, just take the information and fill it in the questionnaire.

    Specifics for InfoCubes
    Dimension
A grouping of those evaluation groups (characteristics) that belong together, as regards contents, in one generic term. With the definition of an InfoCube, characteristics are summarized into dimensions in order to store them in a table of the star schema (dimension table). An InfoCube has no more than 16 dimensions, of which three are standard (package, time, unit) and included in the sizing by default. You can therefore enter only 13 dimensions at most.
    Key figures
Values or quantities, such as sales revenue, fixed costs, sales quantity, or number of employees.
In addition to the key figures saved on the database, you have the option of defining derived (calculated) key figures in the query definition in the Business Explorer. Such key figures are calculated using a formula from the key figures of the InfoCube.
Examples of derived key figures are "sales revenue per employee" (sales revenue divided by number of employees), "variance as a percentage", or "contribution margin".
    Initial load & periodic load
Initial load: Specify the estimated number of records which you plan to load into the cube initially.
Periodical load: Specify the estimated number of records which are loaded in your periodical upload process. You should take into account that you upload data volume grows with time.
    Number of periods
Specify the total number of uploads which will be kept in the InfoCube. Example: if you want to keep weekly data for 5 years, you should enter 260 (52*5)
    Short text
If you have several different InfoCubes of the same type, use short text to attribute names in order to identify them more easily.
    DataStore Object
    DS OBJECT      Definition
A DataStore Object serves to store consolidated and debugged transaction data at a document level (atomic level). It describes a consolidated dataset from one or more InfoSources. This dataset can be analyzed with a BEx Query or InfoSet Query.
A DataStore contains a key (for example, document number/item) as well as data fields that can also contain character fields (for example, order status, customer) as key figures. The data of a DataStore Object can be updated with a delta update into InfoCubes and/or other DataStore Objects in the same system or across systems.
In contrast to multi-dimensional data storage with InfoCubes, the data in DataStore Objects is stored in transparent, flat database tables.</b>

    Hi,
BPS ;- Here you need to decide if you r really going to use this...If your are not going to use Business planning and simulation then skip this part.
In case of no. of users ....Take information from your client that how many no. of users will be there and then distribute these user as per gide lines given by sap. ( In quick sizer this help is available on market place )
Then decide which modules u r going to take in BW.
( In our case BW implementation is limited to SD, FI and CO. )
After this talk to your functional people and decided how many records will be generated per day for each module and for each functionality.
This is required to decide disk space.
Then list down all the infocubes and ods which are installed count dim. and key fig. for each cube. For ods count key fields and data fields.
    Hope this helps....

  • MAP and Total stock in 1 report

    Hi,
For one of the reporting requirement i need to show Moving average Price & Total stock in single report. MAP is saved in cube 0COPC_C04 and Stock in cube 0IC_C03.
So i created a multiprovider on them. My report layout is bel;ow
Material   Plant   Storage location MAP total stock
Issue is that MAP is stored only at MAterial level and Plant level but not at storage location level.
and stock is at all level.
I am getting output like this:
Material   Plant   Storage location MAP  total stock
    MAT1      PL1    #                          10     -
    MAT1      PL1     ST1                     -       20
    MAT1      PL1     ST1                     -       30
User wants that MAP is same at different storage locations in a plant so MAP value should be repeated even if its same.
    MAT1   PL1    #        10  -
    MAT1   PL1     ST1   10    20
    MAT1   PL1     ST1   10    30
How can i achieve the same....
    Thanks
    Dipika

You could create a characteristic hierarchy with Plant as the parent node of storage location.
Or create a structure in the query and define a cell restriction to keep the Plant MAP value against the Storage Location cells.

  • Parallel loading of Transaction Data

    Hi,
We are trying to load transaction data into Inventory Valuation cube (0COPC_C04).
This gets data from multiple datasources. My question is, Can the different infopackages (different infosources) be scheduled in parallel into the same cube .
This is transaction data. We are loading manually in production based on some selection criteria.
    Thanks

    Hi,
For the first part, yes your understanding is correct. Delete all cube indexes before you start any loads and then recreate them after all loading has been completed. This is to increase load performance. Make sure that you recreate the indexes otherwise you'll have problems in querying.
For the second part, yes, as long as the selections are different and the data loads are from different source systems, you can start another data load in parallel to the one already in progress. This again will help you load faster and will reduce load times..
    Cheers,
    Kedar

  • Query Role Problem

    Hi
I have built a role that should allow users to execute all queries but to to only change/delete there own query and i have done this using the ' enhancemets to the owner'  by using the $USER option.
The problem is that whilst the role works fine it only allows the users to see the queries that they have created and doesn't display any others. This is a problem as when a user logs on they have no queries to actually look at unless they have created them
Users should be able to execute all queries but only change or delete their own.
Anyone have a good template for this or know how to solve it

Can someone tell me what is missing
    In RS_COMP
ActivityCreate or generate, Change, Display, Delete, Execute Include Assign
    InfoArea  *
    InfoCube  0CCA_C11, 0COPC_C04, 0FIAP_C02, 0IC_C03,
Name (ID) of a reporting comp *
    Type of a reporting componentQuery
    in RSCOMP 1
Activity:  Change, Display, Delete, Execute, Enter, Include, Assign
Name (ID) of a reporting compo *
Type of a reporting component  Query
    Owner (Person Responsible) for $USER
What happens is that as soon as I apply $user then only the reports that the user has created become visble infoareas. IS $user correct. if there are any reports in history then it says i cannot display this.I Presume because it wasn't created by the user.
Once again i need the user to display and execute everything but only change/delete their own queries.
At the moment i have just a blank box as the user hasnt created any yet??

  • Regarding the extraction

    Hi all,
I just started learning BW . I tried to extract data to 0COPC_C04 and 0SD_C03. The data was properly loaded to PSA and after that the cube is not loaded properly.
Can you please explain the about authorizations checks and master data loads of these cubes.
    Thanks,
    Krishna.

    Krishna,
Want to make sure if your upload is completed?
What mesg is it giving in the monitor.
Try selecting the request and click on activate button. And then see if your data is avaiable for reporting.

  • Loading inventory History

    Hi,
We are loading Period ending Inventories and Material Prices using Business content data sources 0CO_PC_ACT_02 and 0CO_PC_ACT_05 into Standard Infocube 0COPC_C04.
The implementation was done in early 2002 and we have data from period 12/2001 to till date in BW. Now the user is saying there was some data in 2001 in R/3, and he want us to recover data from 01/2001 to 011/2001.
But functionally, these data sources provide data only of the current period and previous periods. Now we need to recover the history data from 01/2001 to 011/2001.
The data looks coming from MBEW and MBEWH. Building generic extractors looks complex and I assume it will not work.
Any ideas of how can we extract the missed inventory history into BW?

    Suman

    Hi Dave,
I am afraid creating a new database is your only option.
For old data, you may still keep access for certain reports. All open items has to be imported to new db. It is a kind of manual archiving. Your database performance will gain a lot though.

  • Inventory - MBEW and MBEWH (Extractors)

    Hello,
I understood that using the extractor 0CO_PC_ACT_05 is possible to execute a load to bring the current period, previous period and last period of the previous year. If for the go-live, the requirement is from last period on, then I suppose the cube 0COPC_C04 will store all periods. So in December 2007, if the user wants to see the inventory evolution of a material since July, it is possible. However I noticed that the table MBEWH uses for month LFMON which is not in the standard. The standard uses FISCPER. Besides, when there is no movement in the month, the standard seems to bring zero for inventory, when it would be correct to repeat last month value. Could you please clarify these concepts?
If you have additional documents about this, pls foward.
    Thanks & Regards,
