1 out of 3 email recipients is not receiving an email

I have one user that is not receiving emails from a customer.  The customer addresses the email to 3 users here.  2 users get the email just fine, but the 3rd user never receives it in their inbox.  It isn't in their junk mailbox or trash, and there are no rules setup that might be affecting it.  This user can email the customer just fine, but if the customer replies to that email it never shows up.  And the customer is not receiving an undeliverable message.
What could cause this 1 user to not receive the email?  They don't have a problem receiving emails from any other address.  Is there some log in the mail server that I could look at for info?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If there are no associated log entries listed within the receiving SMTP server and if other remote users at other remote sites can send email to this target user, then the next likely source of errors or denials is within the sending mail server, or an errant user or domain specification in the remote mail client or related error. 
Ask for log entries associated with the attempted SMTP send within the context of the remote mail server.
Also create a completely new user on your server, and ask for a test message send into that. 
(And to ensure there are no local log entries related to this traffic, I'd likely grep the mail server logs for errors through all of the local logs, looking for any SMTP traffic to the target user.  grep -r -i short-user /var/log will get you a list of the log entries associated with the user.  Try this grep again with the test user - and pick a "weird" name string for that, to make the grep target easier - and see if there's any traffic associated with that.)

  • Email on Touch - not receiving latest email - help!

    I've set my touch up to send and receive email using my google mail account.
    The problem is, it won't receive the latest new email that's in my google mail inbox. If i have 4 unread, only the first 3 are received by my touch. Once another new email reaches my inbox, the 4th email finally gets delivered to my touch.
    Basically there's always one unread email that's yet to reach my touch!
    Any ideas???

    Ive been doing some testing and it's definitely the last new email in my gmail inbox that does not come through to my ipod touch. I'm not sure if it's a bug with gmail or what, but it works fine on my macbook using the mail application on there.
    Im using IMAP to connect to my gmail inbox.
    If anyone has any idea please help! It's driving me mad!

    We are not blocking anything from Apple.com. (We do block any traffic from the Far East.)
    Getting all email from other email providers. Not receiving any email from APPLE.COM.

    All the clues indicate this is not the problem on recipient Server/Client. We are out of control for the message item even doesn't touch our domain. Maybe we need to contact ISP or resolve the issue on Sender site.

  • Some receipients not receiving my emails!

    I'm finding out that several business contacts do not receive my emails (sent from me.com), even though they appear in my Sent folder and there's no notification that the emails didn't go through. How do I solve this when I don't even know who is/isn't receiving my mail? Do a lot of businesses tend to block messages from me.com addresses? I'm using Mac 10.7.4 and my outgoing mail server is MobileMe (iCloud). Please help!

    How do you know they are not receiving your email? Same logic. Someone must have told you they are not receiving your email. Contact these same people and ask them how they are being blocked.
    Now you are adding the fact that you are sending bulk email. Someone may have reported you to their ISP or an ISP has determined that you are sending bulk mail to their clients. They then blocked email from your domain. Unfortunately such domain blocks hurt other me.com users. Once your domain or email address is on a block list, it does not matter if you send one or many html or plain text emails. They all will be blocked.
    So as a bulk emailer you need to find a better way to send.

  • Can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent show as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either (PIN Message Status : Service Blocked)

    I recenly changed device from BB Curve 8530 to BB Bold 9900 and ever since then can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows only as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either. Tried sending PIN messages  but  I got a red x next to the message and the status says: "Service Blocked" .
    When my phone got lost, I was lucky that I just synchronized my device to my BB Desktop. Not only was I able to retrieve my contacts (phonebooks and BBM) but also ALL txt msgs and even call logs
    Anway, that happening, I assumed I don't need to re-send all my BBM friends invites since some were able to communicate with me. But for those who have deleted my profile (knowing it got lost) and were still on my contact were the ones affected. I tried deleting them and sent an invite only to find out that: I can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving any. (they also have the same pending for authorization notice on their end) 
    When I tried to send them a PIN message I get a red x next to the message nd get the service blocked message.
    Help I do not know what else to do.
    ** FYI: new contacts added with my new PIN have no prob sending invites and me accepting them all.

    This issue is most likely Caused by the BlackBerry not being provisioned for BlackBerry Data Services.

  • Not receiving some emails from specific sender.

    Hi.I just started getting the problem of not receiving some emails. I have not had this problem with the sender until yesterday.  My sender is sending me emails from gmail, some with attachments and some without, to my comcast email and it's not getting through. It is just one specific sender that I know of. I narrowed it down to my comcast account because I had the sender send myself the email to my comcast address and cc me on my gmail address. I received it on my gmail account but not my comcast account. I use Outlook for comcast but I even checked the webmail on comcast with nothing there. I checked the spam folder also and it's not there. Please help, these are important emails. Thank you.

    Same issue, as far as I know it is just 1 person.  But I have no way of knowing.  I also had them CC my Gmail and it went through to Gmail but not my comcast.  I then had them use a secondary comcast email and it didn't go through.  Comcast seems to be blocking this person for some unexplained reason.  It's frustrating and so far has cost me $525 because they thought I was ignoring them.  They are using my Gmail until I get it straightened out, so the financial loss shouldn't increase, I just hope others aren't having the same problem and I don't know about it.

  • Account locked. I am not receiving an email to change my password.  I have tried 4 times.

    My Mother, over the weekend, managed to get her account locked after misstyping her email multiple times. This is not the first time this has happened, so she went through the process of trying to change her password, via getting an email sent to her from Apple. If you read the title of the thread, you'd see my problem. Here we are, 4 days later, and we've yet to receive an email from Apple allowing us to change her password.
    I've applied for Apple to send us the email so we can reset her password multiple times, not counting how many times she tried over the weekend as she was out. I'd like to know why we're not receiving this email, because we've had to go through this process before, and it's gone without a hitch.

    I have asked for your email address to be edited out. Post your address in an open thread is a sure way to be bombarded by unwanted email, remember it will be here long after you have resolved your problem, for automated detection software to find.
    If you want people to contact you, enable others to see your email address in your profile.
    Put in a request for another verification e-mail to be sent to you.
    Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account
    Also check your Mail rules and filtering, the verification mail may be going to a junk folder or even being deleted altogether.

    Here is my query on Workflow,
    One of our customer created a purchase order through shopping cart,in the place of the requisitioner details they maintain the user id and we checked the user id in Su01, and i found out the mail id and and user id has been maintained here and the communication method is "Remote Mail".
    Our system is configured in such a way that when the requisitioner will create a purchase order one mail should go to the inbox of the requisioner through workflow procedure.
    I checked the workflow and it is showing that mail has successfully sent.
    Now the user has raise a query that "he is not receiving any email communication whenever he is creating PO through shopping cart".We confirm with the user about the communication mail id and he said that the mail id is correct and the same mail id has been maintained in SAP.
    If anybody faced this kind of problem than pls help me on this.

    Hi Kumar,
    Are you expecting the emails in the Outlook inbox? Is it an external mail id?
    Check things below -
    1. Are alerts being generated? Check transaction ALRTINBOX to make sure that.
    2. Check transactions SOST to see emails are generated for the users.
    3. Make sure that in transaction SCOT, the user id is added as supported address types.

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Did not receive confirmation email

    I purchased a phone charger about an hour ago and still have not received a confirmation email. I had checked out as a guest so I cannot check the order status that way and the charge has already showed up on my card. Additionally I had chosen the in store pick up option and am worried I will not receive an email alerting me when I am able to come and pick it up.  Has anyone had something similar like this happen? Is there anyone I can specifically contact?

    I am not receiving all emails to my main .Mac account. I do receive emails and would never known there was a problem until people started calling to find out why I haven't responded. I have a main .Mac account and two alias accounts, but the address that the emails are being sent to are my main account. Any ideas?

    The junk mailbox is empty. I checked my preferences and disabled it for now to see if that will make a difference. I do have some Rules set up to filter known "sales" emails to delete or change the color but I have not set up any rules to move or filter from friends.
