I publish a 41mb InDesign newsletter monthly into interactive pdf. It always becomes a file size of 4mb, 10% of original, when I save to pdf. This month my newsletter is 41mb and it drops to 11mb, 25% of original. I have re-sized all pictures, deleted pages separately, have gotten the file size down to 16mb and it drops to 7mb, 45% of original.
I have gone back and saved Feb and March and it saves to 10% of original, as it did before, and I use the same mechanism to save now.
I have gone to Acrobat Pro and optimized down to 8.8mb, but the quality is not acceptable.
What other variable is there that I haven't discovered?My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

Question About the New Update Due out this Month
Hi I would like to know when Apple, does come out with the New update this month will it be for the New iPhone, do out on June 9th,2008 or for the People who have the Old iPhone, that will then be out dated?

Lisa*Firmware update 2.0 will be for all existing iPhones, and for all iPod Touch(es), but iPod Touch owners must pay a nominal fee for the update due to accounting reasons.
Firmware update 2.0 will likely be pre-installed on the 2nd generation iPhone. If not, it can be installed as an update the same as for the first generation iPhone.
Updates for the first generation iPhone will not stop after the 2nd generation iPhone is released. Both will be running the same operating system, with the only hardware difference we know for certain included with the 2nd generation iPhone is a 3G chipset making it a 3G phone.
The first generation iPhone will not become outdated when the 2nd generation iPhone is released. There are some people in the U.S. that don't live in an area where at&t has 3G network coverage, and where at&t doesn't have plans to add 3G network coverage this year or the next.
You purchase a new computer this week, and a new and improved version of the same computer model is released within 6 months or a year. This doesn't make the computer you purchased this week outdated. The same applies to the iPhone. -
I use Time Machine to back up my entire computer with my external hard drive. I am getting a brand new iMac this month and was wondering what is the process of using this back up to restore my new computer exactly how my old computer was? I want to make sure I will still have various important files on my new computer, like my songs in iTunes, my photos in iPhoto, etc, etc. Thanks so much in advance!

When you turn on the new iMac for the first time, Setup Assistant will ask you to restore a backup, so connect the external disk and follow steps to restore all your files to your new iMac. Your new Mac will have the same settings and programs as your old computer.
In other cases, I would recommend to restore the whole backup without using Migration Assistant or Setup Assistant, but a Late 2012 iMac uses a special OS X build, so the OS X version that you're using on your old Mac won't work on the new one. I created a form, I want the email notices to go to several people. Why is this so difficult? It seems like they have to be a co-author/reader or something? I don't get it
This is crazy! I paid for this service to make it easier to create forms for a company that has had several acquisitions all over the globe. This was supposed to make it easy to create forms hosted on adobe so no matter what happens on all their servers, we would be safe using this forms service until we can integrate all acquisitions and build a permanent web site on a single server. Now I find out that even this is a major issue sending emails to team members, many I have never met so making them a collaborator or even setting up forwarded emails is not something I wanted to do. This service was advertised as simple and easily send notifications to many people. I am now frustrated and thinking this was a waste of money! Why is it like that?

This month I downloaded the newest version of PAGES. The documents I have typed using this App will now not open and the message says-"You need a newer version of PAGES to open this document. Could anyone help me with this please. Thanks.
You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.2 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Older versions of Pages 5 can not open files from later versions of Pages 5.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Anything that is saved to iCloud and opened in a newer version of Pages is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed over 110 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

You can add the icon of the missing Pages on your Dock or open Pages from the Apple menu > Recent Items list.
Or you can archive Pages 5 so that it doesn't automatically open.

How to get all records created this month?
Ok I'm trying to write a query that would get records that were created this month or later but not in the past.
So today is Nov 16th 2009
I need to look for all records created from 11/2009 and onward (>11/2009)
Any ideas?Do you have any field like "create_date" on that table ? Here is simple qry

I was paying $160 for 2 lines with 700 minutes, unlimited txt, and 2GB non-shared data. A complete ripoff, but it worked for me. Unfortunately the other line went over their paltry 2GBs today and I wanted to grab some more data, and the next jump up was 5GB data at $20 more ($50) per line. This was unacceptable. Luckily they have this share everything plan with twice the amount of data, (4G) and unlimited talk and text for $140 (What the F), so indeed even Verizon (TM) thought I was paying too much. Great of them to let me know I could switch.
Anyways will I still get the privilege of paying that $15 for .01 GB of data for the amount I went over or will I be okay as I switched to 4GB today. My gut's telling me Verizon's not going to give me back my money that easily.If you switch you will have to backdate it to keep the overages from happening. Also you'll pay the difference in advance. So if the difference is $20. You pay $40 more next month compare to this month, but the following month will be $20 more like it should(bill in advance). When you downgrade plans you'll get credited the difference like it should as it works both ways.

My question says it all. The history library shows "Today", "Last 7 days", and "This month". Setting in options window are to save browsing history for 90 days. Where is the rest of the browsing history?
The default in Firefox 3 versions is to keep history for 180 days (6 months).<br />
In Firefox 4+ that has changed to a maximum number of pages that is kept.<br />

Book revenue on this month but the cost of goods sold need to get from last month

I have a question about cost and revenue. We have a standing service repair order and a contract to customer. Because the revenue is calculated by flight cycle so maybe when we get the flight cycle information for this month should be the midle of next month. Due to the monthly end close schedule I need to book the revenue on this month but the cost of the revenue we need the get the cost occur last month. For example, current month is May, 2014 and I book the revenue and posting date is May, 31, 2014. But the cost I just want the amount occurred in customer service order(IW31) on Apr, 2014. And the cost occured in May, 2014 should become WIP. Is it possible? Please advise.

My mother never opened/registered her AppleCare she bought 1 year ago. I was told I can't use her AppleCare for my 4s I got this month because a newer version has been released, she can't even use it herself. Is this true? Can she get a refund?

Unfortunately there is no one here that can give you an answer; we are just users like yourself.
But based on past experience it has been known for free upgrades to be offered ... but not before the new OS is formally announced. There have been several references of late to the imminent launch of Mavericks. I think you can do no more than wait for the announcement. -
I have been having this problem since the 4th of this month. I tried to open iTunes and this error message came up: "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes error 7 windows error 126". There is nothing else that comes up but if anyone can help or know anything about it I will greatly appreciate it.
