10g R2 manual agent configuration?

Hey all,
I'm trying to get my RAC cluster and a multi-db instance server configured to talk to the OMS properly. I can perform uploads and i can get my hosts to show up as working as well as the node DBs of my RAC instance to show as "up" in the GCUI but the RAC "cluster" still shows as down.
1. What's the best way to configure an agent for the RAC cluster so my cluster DB gets out of "status pending" or "unavailable"
2. On my multi-instance DB, what's the best way to ensure that my DBs are all seen in the GCUI as "up"? They are currently in "status pending".
Just FYI, I reconfigured emctl to start agents instead of the dbconsole and so have gone through to modify emd.properties and emoms.properties files for each instance and have one agent per instance. Is that even necessary?

Hello,
I agree with you - saying one agent per instance is a little bit misleading in this circumstances - in practise I'm running one agent per server. I wanted to say, every instance of a multi-instance database have to be monitored separately.

For the other instance change x18 to x19, ORAD11 to ORAD12 and ORAD1_OEMS to ORAD2_OEMS.
In this configuration the agent is not aware of a RAC.
