1200 series as bridges under LWAPP

If I want to user 1200's as point-to-point bridges, can I run them under LWAPP or do they have to remain Autonomus?

Workgroup bridge mode is not supported with 1242 or 1130 series APsin LWAPP.

  • Using CLI to enter Mac local list on 1200 Series

I have a number of 1200 series Ap's that are set up for MAC Authentication based on a local list only. From the GUI these addresses are entered from the Advanced Security Screen.
I wnt to find a method for entering them from the CLI but am running into a problem with the level 7 passwords that seem to be automaticly applied when the MAC addresses are added from the GUI.
If I enter MAC 0011.22aa.33ff from the GUI and then look at the config from the CLI it looks like this:
    username xxx password xxxx
    username xxxx autocommand exit
how do I do this from the CLI?

    Hi,
I think if you need to enter lots of MAC Addresses into AP, the fastest way is to use CLI.
Refer to the following doc on how to configure MAC from CLI. Look under "Local Authenticator Access Point - Step 11"
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/wireless/ps4570/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a0080341e72.html#wp1039558
If authentication is purely done via MAC, then you can do like the following example:
    AP#config t
AP(config-radsrv)# user xxx password xxx group clerks mac-auth-only
Probably you need to use notepad to list all MAC (as username & password), then copy &paste to your AP's CLI.
    Hope this helps.

  • Lexmark 1200 Series All in 1 Will not work on my MAC

I recently purchased a Lexmark 1200 series all in one an it will not work. Plug n play doesn't happen so i went through system pref, clicked printer and add printer. It seen it plugged in via usb so i clicked it then it said select drive. The driver for this model isn't there. I did a software update, didn't work so I searched online and cant find anything and neither did the official lexmark site.
Don't know what model mac I have. All I know is its a new mac book so ignore what my OS is.
    Thanks

    Hi mrburgess187!
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
I went to Lexmark's website and under OS compatibility I didn't see your printer listed for OS X compatibility.

  • Recomended ios for 1200 series?

Any suggestions for most stable and bugfree ios to use on the AP1200 series?
For me it looks like the 12.3(8)JEA3 should be ok after reading about caveats in the release notes. Only something about shared authentication in non-native vlans and two other minor things. Our setup has 8 ssids with 4 of them with wpa-psk authentication that works ok with this version.
Its a little confusing wich version to choose with all that numbers and release dates.

Only some versions can be upgraded:
For all IOS-based 1200  series modular access point (1200/1220 Cisco IOS Software Upgrade, 1210  and 1230 AP) platforms, it depends on the radio:
    –if 802.11G, MP21G and MP31G are supported
    –if 802.11A, RM21A and RM22A are supported
The 1200 series access points can be upgraded with any combination of supported radios: G only, A only, or both G and A.

I might have an answer for you... or I might be COMPLETELY WRONG
If it isn't just a "failed" upgrade, as in you've tried the upgrade again and it still is happening.... I was reading something about older APs not have a Manufacturing-installed certificate (MIC) and these AP's generating a Self-signed Certificate (SSC).
The error you have is referring to SSC so I'm writing this as if you have not had to previously do this step for your other conversions.
I believe a couple of things needs to happen for SSC AP's.
    1) Must enable controller to accept self-signed certificated.
Security > AAA > AP Polices > Accept Self Signed Certificate > Apply
    2) Add AP to Authorization List in Security > AAA > AP Polices > Add AP To Authrorization List
Enter MAC Address of the AP
    Certificate type = SSC
SHA1 Key Hash can be obtained from the controller by issueing this command:
    "debug pm pki enable"
Look for the line: sshpmGetIssuerHandles: SSC Key Hash is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I believe you use the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX as the SHA1 Key Hash.
    3) If required, you may also need to add the AP MAC Address in the Mac-Filter: Security > AAA > MAC Filtering > New >
Hopefully its either a reload of the software or this SSC thing that fixes the problem....

    Hi.
You may download the Universal Print Driver PCL5 below, it is compatible with both Windows 7 or 8 64-bit.
For USB select Plug n Play, for network select Tradiotional Mode and follow the steps by setting a TCP/IP Port with the IP Address of the printer:

  • HP laserjet 1200 series not responding

I just got an hp laserjet 1200 series printer from a friend that used it on his pc. I can't seem to get my computer to recognize it. I have tried going to the hp page and downloading the driver and the software, which I thought I did, but when I open printer setup utility and look for new drivers, nothing appears. Any ideas?

Is your printer connected through a hub or directly to the computer?

  • Install Failed for HP Laserjet 1200 Series in new Laptop with Windows 8, 64 Bit

Product Name - HP Laserjet 1200 Series, PCL 6 Driver
Operating System: Windows 8 Home Edition, 64 bit
Error Message : Can't find the 1200 Series on the Network. To locate manually click ok ....
Changes Made - This is an installation on new laptop, running Windows 8, 64 bit
    Description:
    1. Installing to an existing network, that consistedof a desktop and two wireless laptops.
    2. Both Laptops have Windows 7, 64 bit. Above named printer is successfully accessed from the laptops.
    3. Am replacing one of the laptops with the Windows 8 64 bit.
    4. The Series 1200 path is: Wireless Printer to Router, Router to Desktop via ethernet, Desktop to Printer via cable.
    5. The wireless printer configuration is
Name:  HP Laserjet 1200 Series PCL 5
            Port:     \\Central\HPLaserj
Printer: HP Laserjet 1200 Series PCL 5
          Driver: HPMCPM25.GPD   5.8.2008
    Problem
Unable to recreate this path with the Windows 8, 64 bit configuration.
    a. When I attempt to download a current driver always wind up with a file entitled UPD-pcl6-x64-5.6.0.14430
This appears to be a universal PCL 6 printer driver, Can successfully unzip the file and create a folder
    b. During installation I can see the the desktop printer ICON (name:\\central\HPLaserj); so far, so good
    c. Process fails to locate a driver and instructs to manually locate.
    d. Browsing to the HP Universal Driver Folders fails because a driver cannot be found .
    e. Attempting to manuall enter fails because you cannot input the above address (\\central\HPlaserj). Can only enter HPLaserj for the address, which obviously does not work.
    f. When the installation did show a list of drivers, the only one I found was a universal PCL 6, which is what I thought I was trying to download originally.
This set up worked successfully with the Windows 7 64 bit. It appears I need help from a lot more expertise than I have to walk me through this set up.

  • HP LaserJet 1200 Series- Spaces appearing in words of printed document

I have an HP LaserJet 1200 series printer.  All of a sudden blank spaces began appearing in the footnotes of a document.  For example, "supra" printed as "s upra" numerous times in a row, "in" printed as "i n", and "whether" printed as "whether r".  The spaces do not appear on the computer screen.  I just attached another printer and the spaces disappeared.  Is there a way to fix my HP LaserJet 1200 series printer?  Thanks for any help!

    Hello eaw,
The HP LaserJet 1200 is a commercial printer. For a better chance at finding a solution, I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support.

  • HP LaserJet 1200 series BW USB problem

I am unable to re install my HP BW LaserJet 1200 series printer. My system is WIN XP PRO, SP3.
The printer was working fine, then something happened and the printer is not listed in Device manager. The printer self check works OK,, but when I plug in the USB cable, there is no screen respons that a new USB device has been found.
Note , I have 2 flash drives attached to the USB ports that work OK.
I tried to re install the 1200 series driver, but the printer is not  listed in Device manager.
Any suggestions troubleshooting tips would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

I've often had this problem when I start a print but the 1200 is not connected, or for other reasons. I either:
    1. Turn the HP 1200 off then on; or
    2. Go to Print centre and delete the job.
One of these always fixes the problem.

  • MQ Series, Messaging Bridge, weblogic 7.0

              Hi all,
I have seen other postings about this with some clues as to why I am having this
problem, but I still can't seem to resolve. I have already tried to gleen some
clues from the documentation that comes with the beta bridge to be used with 6.1
(wls_mqseries.pdf). Has anyone configure Weblogic 7.0 successfully with the new
Messaging Bridge? If so, could you summarize your steps and settings?
I used the JMSAdmin tool to bind the factory and queue objects and setup the destinations

              Tom,
Thanks. The white paper seemed to have the info I needed.
Now I just need to figure out why the lookup of the MQ objects return javax.naming.Reference

  • 1300 series as Bridge and AP both

Any idea if 1300 series is bridging with another 1300 with integrated antennas on both the end, how would be the performance of it if used for AP mode as well as it works both ways.

Configuring access points and bridges to treat a workgroup bridge as a client device allows more workgroup bridges to associate to the same access point, or to associate using an SSID that is not an infrastructure SSID. The performance cost of reliable multicast deliveryduplication of each multicast packet sent to each workgroup bridge limits the number of infrastructure devices, including workgroup bridges, that can associate to an access point or bridge. To increase beyond 20 the number of workgroup bridges that can associate to the access point, the access point must reduce the delivery reliability of multicast packets to workgroup bridges. With reduced reliability, the access point cannot confirm whether multicast packets reach the intended workgroup bridge, so workgroup bridges at the edge of the access point's coverage area might lose IP connectivity.
When you treat workgroup bridges as client devices, you increase performance but reduce reliability. You use the no infrastructure client configuration interface command to configure access points and bridges to treat workgroup bridges as simple client devices. This is the default setting.

  • 1200 Series - Tagged Management VLAN Traffic

    Hi,
As per my understanding the 1200 Series Access points running IOS (12.2(15)XR) send the management traffic (RADIUS,Accouting NTP etc) un-tagged i.e. using VLAN 1.
As per our current setup, we assign this un-tagged traffic to a different VLAN (by changing native vlan to x for the Trunk Port) on the cisco switch.
Is it possible to configure the Access Point to send Management Traffic as tagged with a particular VLAN id ? (Similar to what it does for Wireless Traffic, when SSID are associated to specific VLANs)
We are trying to set this up with a 3-Com 4400 series switch i have been unable to configure the 3-Com switch, so that it can assign the untagged traffic to different VLAN instead of VLAN 1.
    Regards \\ Naman

Changing the Native VLAN doesn't make a difference. I can create any VLAN and make it native but management traffic is still being sent un-tagged.
Below was the setup i tested
    AP--->Trunk Link<->Switch Port(Native VLAN=15)
    Switch Port --->Trunk Link<->Router with VLAN15
I can make any VLAN as native VLAN on the AP and it doesn't effect the functionality as long as the Switch Native VLAN matches to the corresponding VLAN on the router.

  • Specific OID for A radio modules on 1200 series access points

Is there a specific OID for A radio module cards of the following type:
    Flap - AIR-RM21A-A-K9
    Dipoles - AIR-RM22A-A-K9

No switches in Cisco's current product line provide enough power to support both radio modules in the 1200 series. The (now optional) power injector for the 1200 will provide enough inline power for both radios, if that is an acceptible option.
Cisco has plans for several switches that will be able to provide inline power to both radios, but I am not aware of ETA's on these.
