2000-2c29wm internal temp

I am running internal temperatures of 42-55 degrees Celsius, 105-135 degrees Fahrenheit CPU, 40-55 C/104-155 F Video card and harddisk @ 37-55 C/97-150 F.
Is this within the specs?  I can't find any information relating to my specific model.
Please let me know, if I am ok?  It just seems to be getting too hot and I wanted to make sure it is not damaging it.
Computer is a notebook 2000-2c29wm model.
Thank you

Hi,
Your machine is very good actually, you only need to concern when it runs at over 75 C continuoustly.

  • High Internal Temp 500.28GB Apple SSD on SMART (194) Test

I would greatly welcome advice regarding a high internal temperature reading on a SMART (194) test. I have a new MacBook Pro with an Apple SSD TS512C. SMART (194) is showing an internal temp just a tad short of fail. I am using TechTool Pro 6 as a diagnostic utility. I have not had an SSD before so do not know what the parameters should be. I emailed MicroMat the dev for TechTool who replied suggesting I ask Apple. I rang Apple Tech Support in Ireland and the adviser said she didn't know - suggested I ask MicroMat...! Is it a problem. There's no discernible heat from the machine and no sound of a fan hard at work. Be glad to hear from anyone who knows about these things. VMT

Same configuration here, except I have a new MacBook Pro Retina and the attribute 194 (internal temperature) via TechTool Pro 6.0.6 also shows arrow slightly toward the fail side of midpoint, color Yellow. I have never had it show any differently. I check iSight Pro (latest version) and the temperature for the core can range from 40-70 degrees C, but the TechTool Pro value never changes. I have ignored it since there is no accurate interpretation from any engineer.

  • Upgrading hard drive and RAM in my HP 2000-2C29WM Notebook

I would like to know if my HP Notebook Computer model # 2000-2C29WM can be upgraded with at least a 1tb hard disk drive.  I would also like to know the pin count of the RAM I need to install (208 pin, 240 pin, etc).  I know that I take DDR3 modules.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Also, I would like to know if the processor can be upgraded to any of the new AMD E processors.  Thanks again!

Page 45 of this guide notes the RAM the system came with as PC3-12800 with HP part number 641369-001
According to this site, the 204 pin module they have is equivalent to the HP part matching 641369-001.
The notebook shouldn't have any issue as long as the HDD is not more than 1TB.  It may work with a larger HDD, but I cannot say with 100% certainty.

  • Macbook pro 13" june 2009 fan rpm remains at 2000 rpm when temp is 85c

    Hi,
I've just bought a new macbook pro 13 inch and updated software vis software update.
I've noticed that the fan rpm went to 2700 rpm on every boot but
after a few minutes it goes down to 2000 no matter the temperature is
I'm using iStatPro to see the temp and fan
I've tried open youtube videos to raise the temperature to 71 but the fan remains the same at 2000
    Please advise.
    Thank you

    Thank you for the info
I've just tried resetting the SMC but no luck.
since this is my first mac computer so I'm not sure if this is normal or not
after an investigation with different scenarios of work load I found that
    room temp : 27c
    cold boot : cpu 45c
    : fan 2000 / 2700 rpm
    warm boot : cpu 58c
    : fan 2000 / 2700 rpm
    running parallels
    with windows 7
and visual studio : cpu 75c
    : fan 2000 rpm
The fan did kick in to 3500 rpm once the temp is 85c
I'm not sure if this is normal or not since my Dell M1330 xps
which running vista and visual studio shows only
    cpu: 58c
    fan: 3000rpm
    Thank you
I'm not thinking about using SMC fan control to set the default to 3000 rpm
and use it only when I work on Windows but not sure if the program will damage
    my new baby or not
    Thank you

  • What is considered excessive fan speed/internal temp?

Among all of my installed applications, there is one program (a moderately graphics-intensive game) that causes the fan in my MacBook Pro to spin very very loudly and heat up to 82 degress Celcius (181 F).
First of all, what temperature is is considered to be within normal range?  I wouldn't normally be concerned about CPU temperatures, but the noise coming out of my computer is unusually loud.
    I'm on a 2012 model 15" Retina MacBook Pro, running OS 10.8.3.

Actually how accurate is the temp reading on HWMonitor for your MSI board?  One thing I noticed is that w/ Coretemeter the temp reading was around 48-50c on Rig#1 and almost 58-60c on Rig#2 (That's my HTPC w/ EXTREMELY tight spacings so still work in progress as far as cooling's concern!) but using HWMonitor I got 31c CONSISTENTLY on both rigs!     I'll love to think that I'm indeed running this cool but feeling the exhaust air, I think this 31c reading is not real...

  • Moved to G4 MDD... want to upgrade fans. Fan specs? Internal temp sensors?

    Hello!
Just a week ago, I upgraded from an older Quicksilver (single 733) to a Dual-1.25 Ghz FireWire 800 MDD. To say this machine leaves the QS in the dust is an understatement! This nifty MDD feels faster running Leopard than my MacBook Pro does!
In any case, while the noise is not as bad as I feared given the reputation of the "G4 Windtunnel", it's definitely a bit more annoying than the QS it replaced. I've noticed that it's not bad when idle, then when I start using it for any heavier-duty stuff (EyeTV, for example) one of the fans kicks in at high speed - keeping the G4 cool makes it much more "ear-friendly". I've kept it out in the open as much as I can, to allow for ample airflow, but am considering replacing one or more of fans with more quiet ones.
    I have three questions:
    1. How do you tell if this MDD went back to apple for a fan replacement? I know they were recalling them for a while.
    2. What are the airflow and noise ratings of the fans - or at least the big case fan? I'm comfortable swapping out the fans for ones with higher airflow per unit noise, but do not know what the baseline flow is!
    3. I have yet to find an app capable of accessing the temperatures of any sensor other than the CPU board and the hard drives - yet I know there are more sensors in there. Is there some app, apart from iStat or Temperature Monitor, that can read the other sensors?
    Thanks for tips,
    -Daniel

    Hello,
I modded my G4 MDD a couple of years ago.
Upgraded the main large fan to a Vantec Stealth super quiet fan with the silicone noise reduction kit.
Upgraded the 2 fans on the power supply too using x2 Vantec fans.
Also did the mod fitting 2 smaller fans behind the processors using a fan controller I bought from Maplins. Works a treat keeping the mac super cool & quiet.
Ulitmately the rear fans acted as an xtra exhaust sucking the warm air out of the unit instead of it creating a nice cool area between the main fan than processors.
Its all quite easy to do if you are comfortable/confident in messing with it.
Installed drives to 7200rpm and again used silicone quiet kits when reinstalling.
It also helped installing an ATA 133 pci card with decent cables which I think made a huge difference in overall performance.
Ram coolers are also a good addition.
I wish I hadnt have sold it as it was a solid machine and put some of the earlier G5's to shame.
    Good luck & have fun
Did a cool little mod fitting a blue neon cold cathode tube which illuminated the front retro exhaust ports which was cool. Again this was powered using a molex connector of the DVD drive, simple but nice mod.

  • Anything new on temp issues on the 24 IMac's??

Got a question not necessarily an issue and I've researched it quite extensively on the net. Finding ambiguous data concerning this and if possible I'd like the feedback from you folks before calling AppleCare.
After buying my new 24 inch IMac and setting it up, I noticed the aluminum case upper corners and middle upper edge was becoming hot enough to pique my interest. I realized immediately that the aluminum case would be conducting heat more than my older IMac 17 which has the acrylic case.
I was concerned enough to find a temp widget called IStat Pro and download it to physically check the operating temps inside the case as well as the fan speeds.
The temps seem normal and are all in double figures with the CPU average around 50c. The bridges also are in double digits which seem normal enough.
My concern is that the case itself is apparently absorbing a whale of a lot of internal heat and seems to be functioning as a planned heat sink for the unit.
I'm assuming that the engineers at Apple have given the internal temps the thought it deserves and that my worries are ill advised.
I can't explain exactly why this continues to bug me, but as a commercial pilot I'm well aware that heat and avionics are mortal enemies and eventually cause issues in solid state circuits.
I guess what I'm doing here with my post is simply asking if there have been issues reported with the 2.66 IMac 24's and whether there might be a downside to the external case temps as time passes.
Thanks much for any insight into the temp issue. Be aware I've searched the forums and have read what I could find here. Just wondering if anyone has anything new to report.

This way you get a better overall idea. If you really think it's running too hot, you have 14 days from purchase to either have it repaired or replaced.
If it were me, I'd talk to an Apple representative about this heat issue. You can Google for this information and it's amazing on how many hits come up.
I just ran iStat on my iMac but it's the 2.66 20"... CPU is 1199 HD 1199 Optical drive 998
But mine never gets hot like you are talking about, warm but not hot.
I'm not running any CPU intensive apps for those numbers. May climb a tad when I have iTunes running....

  • Intermittant processing to control temp

When researching the MSI 865G Neo2-LS board and the P4 2.4 HT 800mhz processor I read that CPU processing would be halted intermittantly in order to control temperatures. I distinctly remember reading it and temperature on the P4 does seem to be very tightly controlled but I can't remember whether it was a feature of the processor or the motherboard.
Does anyone here know? I have looked extensively on both the Intel site and the MSI site and in the MSI manual and I can no longer find the reference.

P4 thermal throttling ...it kicks in @72C (Full shutdown @135C -internal temp), its all on chip (CPU)
See this article from X-Bit labs:-

Ive also seen an Intel document ...but cant find it atm ?(

  • Connect internal as DBA

Can somebody tell me how to login into another user's schema while being logged in as DBA in SQL*PLUS?
I am trying to write a script that will excecute in every schema after changing the logins at runtime.
The way i remember doing this as DBA is by using 'connect internal <username>' command in sqlplus. but it doesn't seem to be working in this installation of 9i under windows 2000.
    Any ideas ??
    Thanks in advance.

Can somebody tell me how to login into another user's schema while being logged in as DBA in SQL*PLUS?Since you will be logged on as a DBA, and DBA role contains all the SYSTEM privileges, you can refer to all the tables in all the schema's.
to refer to EMP table in SCOTT schema use SCOTT.EMP
The way i remember doing this as DBA is by using 'connect internal <username>' command in sqlplus. but it doesn't seem to be working in this installation of 9i under windows 2000.CONNECT INTERNAL doesn't work in 9i.
In 8i INTERNAL meant SYS AS SYSDBA, which has been removed in 9i.
Now to connect to 9i DB, you have to use SYS AS SYSDBA. Connection to SYS can only be as SYSDBA. To login as a normal DBA, you can connect using SYSTEM or any other USER granted the DBA role.

  • Internal Fan

Macbook Aluminum has always had issues with overheating, even while on a desk or a flat solid surface. Downloaded a fan controller that shows RPM, internal temp, etc. Program shows right fan is not spinning at all. Shows left fan working fine, but right one completely off. Is this normal? If it is not, is it covered by Apple or can you give me a ballpark on the fix price? Live right near an Apple store so accessing help is not an issue. Thanks for all the input

It doesn't show the other fan because there is only one fan in that laptop.

  • Hotter temps with snow leopard

My internal temperature with Leopard 10.5 was consistently 95F. Right after I installed Snow Leopard my internal temp jumped 11 degrees to 106F consistently with no changes in usage. Apple recommends internal temps of 50-95F. It makes me a little nervous that I am running higher than that.
    My stats are:
    Hard Drive 106F
    CPU A 131F
    Heatsink B 122F
    Enclosure Bottom 99F
    Northbridge 1 119F
Anything I can do to fix this and get my comp a little cooler other that reinstalling an old OS or aiming fans at it?
    Thanks

From a point of view of keeping your sanity (and your hair!) I would go with the ATI chip, I'm talking from over 15 years of experience with both Mac's and PC's using both ATI and Nvidia graphics chips and always found ATI products more robust and reliable yes on occasion Nvidia out performs ATI but in the next breath ATI out performs Nvidia and so the circle goes !! But as I say from a purely hardware point ATI all the way.
