30EA2: Worksheet Editor Cleared When Changing Connections

In 3.0 EA2, I noticed that when I change connections for a worksheet using the connection select list, the worksheet content is cleared. This was not in EA1, or in prior releases that I am aware of.
I often will write various SQL statements in a non-production environment, and when I'm ready just select the production connection in the current worksheet and run my statements. I was surprised to see them all removed.
(I did search for other posts on this in case someone else previously commented on this behavior, but I didn't see anything.)
Java(TM) Platform 1.6.0_11
Oracle IDE 3.0.02.83
Versioning Support 3.0.02.83
Thanks, Wolf

Hi, I can no longer reproduce this issue. When I installed 30EA2 I simply moved the unzipped file into C:\Program Files\sqldeveloper-3.0.02.83 and choose to not migrate any settings. I could consistently reproduce the issue.
Your comment made me wonder if I had a corrupted download, so I got a fresh copy and installed it as C:\Program Files\sqldeveloper-3.0.02.83-2. I tried to reproduce the issue in this -2 install, but I couldn't! So far so good.
But when I changed my shortcut back to the first 30EA2 install C:\Program Files\sqldeveloper-3.0.02.83 and tried to reproduce the issue, I couldn't either! It was working fine which ever instance of 30EA2 I would launch. I can see they share preferences in:
ide.pref.dir     C:\Documents and Settings\wmoritz\Application Data\SQL DeveloperAt this point, I can't force the issue anymore, so I until I can we should close this issue as a freak occurrence.
Thanks, Wolf

  • Problem when changing connection to SQL Anywhere during runtime

I designed a report in the Crystal Reports 2008 designer using a JDBC connection
to a SQL Anywhere 11.0.1 database.
Everything works fine, I´m able to preview the report in the designer.
But when loading and running the same report in a Eclipse-based java-application I receive
    an error.
When I set the db connection parameters I receive an "unexpected database-connector-error".
When starting the report without changing the connection parameters set in the CR2008-designer
    the same error appears.
When using a report based on a MySQL-database everything works fine.
I´m able to preview the report in the designer and I´m able to load the report
and change the datasource to another MySQL-database at runtime.
What do I have to do to change a SQL Anywhere connection at runtime?

Your workflow and the specific method being invoked where you're getting the exception is unclear.
    Sincerely,
    Ted Ueda

  • Error when changing Connections to connections

    Hi there.
    CS3, PHP & mySql.
I have a problem regarding upper- and lowercase.
I need to change the "Connections" folder to "connections"
    and do the same
to all reference in my pages.
Problem is that when I change the folder to "connections"
    (Lower C), all my
recordsets have red exclamation marks next to it.
    Please advise what to do?
    Regards,
    Deon

Try opening the recordset and pick the new renamed
    connection.

  • Computer keeps restarting when changing connections to a USB port

My 2008 mac pro keeps restarting at random times, but also whenever I change the cable connected to a USB port at the back of the machine.
    Any ideas? Thanks

First guess, don't use that cable, get a new one, it may be causing electrical problems of some type.

I had the same problem and the fix was so easy that I felt a little silly after spending 2 hours with an Apple Technician.  At the end of it all, what I had to do was make sure ALL music was deleted from my iPhone 5 by going into usage and clearing out the music folder.  All I had to do then was turn my phone off and turn it back on again.  I had not done this after my phone upgraded to the new 7.0 IOS.   What's the first thing you do when experiencing computer problems?  Reboot!   It fixed my problem and now my iPhone 5 synchs perfectly when I had it connected to my computer.  I am also on iTunes version 11.1.

  • I recently changed my email address and updated my password.  However, when I connect my iPhone 4 it defaults to my old email address which is no longer valid.  How do I get my phone to recognize my updated email address?

I recently changed my email address and updated my password.  However, when I connect my iPhone 4 it defaults to my old email address which is no longer valid.  How do I get my phone to recognize my updated email address and how do I now change the iPhone 4 to recognize the new address?  I wish to delete all reference to the old address.  All help would be appreciated.

    Hi.
Here is a procedure that should help.
    1. Go to "Settings"
    2. Go to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
    3. Click the account you don't want anymore
    4. Go to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
    5. Confirm the deletion
    6. Go back to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" (if you're not there already)
    7. Add your new account

  • When I connect my iPod3 to my Imac, the memory shows 13GB or so assigned to "other" (color coded yellow). What is this "other, and can I clear it?

When I connect my iPod3 to my Imac, the memory shows 13GB or so assigned to "other" (color coded yellow). What is this "other", and can I clear it?

The "Other" section on your iPod consists of several different things including album artwork, files you may or could be storing on it externally when using the iPod as a storage disk, the iPod's software/OS, as well as corrupt files that are leftover from failed sync operations with iTunes or are no longer recognized by the iPod's software or iTunes. The size of other is usually quite minute, around less than a GB, sometimes a little more (depending on the amount of media stored on your iPod).
In order to clear this space out, you'll need to restore your iPod to factory settings in iTunes.

  • IP ADRESS CHANGES AUTOMATICALLY WHEN AIRPORT CONNECTED

    Hi All,
I read some topics (e.g. from Erik Huber) concerning automatic IP Adress changes when getting connected with the router via airport.
The same problem is existing with my mbp and my girlfriend is using as well the same router without any problem with a powerbook. So the problem is not the router!!
What do you think about influence of a dialer program which we catched in the web and this dialer program is changing the IP adress and as well I discovered in the network-setting that my access code for the router was as well completely changed(severe signal for manipulation from outside).
    So the question could be:
How is it possible that network settings could be changed in the computer by dialer or any other manipulating software.
Does somebody know how to check if there is any "bad program" like dialer-software or similar on the computer which can take influence on the settings?
    Tks all and nice days!

As William said, more details, please!
What are the first six numbers of the different IP addresses you are talking about?

You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to reset the iPad and resync your content to it

  • HT5287 How do I change the name, Under Devices, of Remote Disk or Untitled to a name that reflects what I want.  In this case" Flash" for USB thumb drives.  Also will this create confusion when I connect my Superdrive?  Meaning, will it still be called FL

I want to change the name under DEVICES, left column Remote Disk, Untitled  to FLASH USB, and still have it read my Superdrive when I connect it?

Each Volume (partition) on a device has a name.
When it is mounted it will appear with that name as an icon on the desktop, and under devices in the sidebar.
Typically a USB flash drive would only have one volume.
They may initially come with names like Untitled or No_Name etc.
When mounted you can rename any USB drive (Or individual Volume if there is more than one partition) by using the mouse to select the name on the Desktop and hold the selection in you can edit the name. That name will stay with that particular drive and will show every time it is mounted.
CDs and DVDs may well have a name which will show when they are mounted. When you make a CD or DVD you can provide a name when making it.
It is good practice to name a new thumb drive or USB disk when you get it to avoid the confusion you seem to be having. Simialrly to name any DVDs or CDs you create
