3GS camera really starting to p*ss me off.
Ok, I will try to explain this best I can.
Before this problem happened, I would be able to open up the camera app, flip the phone sideways (landscape mode) and take a picture. When I opened up the picture in my album, I would move the phone is landscape mode and the picture would move to landscape mode and take up the screen.
Now when I take pictures in landscape mode, they will save like I took the pictures in regular mode (I don't know what it's called...when the phone is just up in the normal position), and the picture will be sideways and not the way I took it.
Like I said, it's hard to explain. I just hope someone knows what I'm talking about.
This means that your phones accelerometer is not recognizing the move from portrait to landscape mode...sometimes doing a hard reset by holding the sleep and home button until you see the white apple symbol fixes this...as a last resort unfortunately you may need to do a full restore to get rid of this bug...but I doubt it 9 times out of 10 the hard reset will do the trick for this issue

I finally bought an iPhone 4.

BUT, i backed up my 3GS and restored from back up to my iPhone 4.
When i first opened my pics app it said rebuilding so i let it rebuild.
Now my Camera Roll starts over at 1,000.
SO now every pic i had past 1,000 from my 3gs is displayed at the top instead in the order they were taken.Just so you know, the camera roll is a temp place for photos. While yes part of a backup, they are not put in a place for you to really access or store them.
You really should be taking pictures off the camera roll often and keeping it as clear as possible. It is a separate partition in a way from the rest of the OS and shows up as a digital camera to your computer and why you can access them directly outside of iTunes.
Photos should be taken off by you then if you want them on the phone you can sync them back to their own albums. One, this ensures you have real copies on your computer (that you have your own backup and storage practice) as well as makes it so it doesn't have to waste time trying to back them up each time since you have them on your computer.
There is also a limit to how much the Camera Roll can hold as I mentioned it is a separate partition sort of and not meant for long term storage. -

open your default camera application and dont close it.
step 2:
flick the rear camera using your finger at the top side and the back side of the camera lens,
and that same time too try to tap your screen to help your camera to force/help/make auto focus function to work.
and now your camera + auto focus is working!! -

Push "Camera key", In-app Camera app start up. 4 icons appears as usual next to the Windows logo but the "Liveview" was nowhere to be seen. After 5-7 sec, the "Liveview" only appear. However by that time, the moment that I want to capture already gone.
What is the cause of the slugglishness of the camera start up?
Could it be:
1) insufficient RAM?
2) too many camera app in the phone?
3) outdated OS?
4) phone storage almost full?
Please provide solution or suggestion to overcome the issue.Im using Nokia 525 which is 520 with 1gb ram and gdr3 black. I have same situation with you as well. Nokia camera app takes longer time to start (5-7s) compare with built-in camera app (2-4s). I will choose built-in app as default in case emergency photo shoot and manually run Nokia camera app for better customization when I am not in rush. I hope Nokia camera app can be improved soon, because this app is really awesome.

It's telling me "Item is currently being modified. Please try again later." Its really starting to make me mad; Is there any way to get rid of that message?
PS. The reason I'm downloading directly from the iPod is because the laptop that had my iPod synched to it crashed and the recovery disk didn't fix it. I don't wanna lose all my songs. :/If it says it is temporarily being modified than you should wait until tomorrow or later tonight. If it keeps happening, try downloading something else. If it has the same message, it is probably a problem with iTunes on your iPod. If it downloads regularly, there must just be a problem with the album.

Satellite P200-1EE - Can't get camera to start
After plunging through the forums I notice a lot of people have been having problems with their built in web cams.
Before the camera was just moody, turning on and off stating other applications had locked usage (when they werent even on, not even in background tasks) but it stopped working.
I managed to uninstall the camera driver and download the Vista version of the website. The software seems to have installed fine but when you start the software it says "turn camera on" and even by pressing the hot keys I cant get the camera to start, just the software with a grey screen.
I checked device manager and its no use.
Help please! I dont want to have to go out and buy a new camera.Hi!
I have two Toshiba laptops and no problems with the webcam. Both webcams work fine and without problems.
Did you download the driver from the Toshiba website?

Maybe a BIOS could also solve the problem.
Have you installed the notebook with the Toshiba recovery disk or Microsoft disk?

IPhone 3GS Camera App and Photo App Not Opening
Hi, my iPhone 3GS Camera Application and the Photo Application (Base Apple Photo-related apps "Photos", "Camera") will not open. When I tap either of them, it takes me back to the Home Screen and for a brief moment says "Library Updating", I have been waiting over a day for this to work and it still wont open.
If more information is required please specify what areas are needed below.

WHY WON'T MY 3GS CAMERA ROLL OPEN?
Why won't my 3gs camera roll open. i select it and the it goes back to the main screen. I've tried the hard reset but still not working:((((
Shut down and restart the app...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon until they wiggle
- Press the red (-) to delete the offending app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the app
