Hi,
Select Scan document (not photo) will save in PDF file. You can't save as HTML.

    Hi gram-ster12,
Thank you for your response! I have a question for you. What happens when you try using the HP Print and Scan Doctor? Did it give you any errors?
In the meantime, I would try the following steps:
Uninstall the software.  Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Re-install the software. HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver.

  • Printer for 10.4.11? I can't find a compatible printer. help. please.

1.42 GHz PowerPC G4. running OS X 10.4.11 I just upgraded RAM to 1GB, but did not change the platform. Ram upgrade has allowed me to use a new HP 4500 officejet "wireless" printer/scanner/fax as a hardwired printer, I but cannot get the scanner software to open (have not attempted fax install). "HP scan" must be launching but it won't open. The icon bounces in the dock then I get the error message "... quit unexpectedly"). I am really not liking this printer since it seems to guzzle ink and has no "draft setting" (it says draft but prints in heavy ink). If anyone can suggest a new printer/scanner that will work, I'd appreciate it.
Also/Alternatively do you think I should change my platform? I don't have a backup drive so not sure how to proceed.
I don't know much about computers so please bear with me and also know I am VERY appreciative of your advice.
    Many Thanks,
    Niki

  • HP4500 G510n-z - Ethernet Port?

I've been using my printer for several years; overall, it's taken good care of me. I'm now in a situation where my office is in a part of the house that my wireless network won't reach and adding routers/network extenders is not a good solution for a few reasons. I'm now looking to connect the printer via Ethernet. I bought a cable, but I can't find an Ethernet port on the machine to save my life.
I have a power input, a USB-input, and 2 phone line ports (don't use; don't need).  Can I convert one of the phone ports into a data port? Or am I missing something really obvious here about how to connect my printer in a wired manner to my network?
    Thanks.

Page 11 of your user guide shows you where the Ethernet port is.
    In the back shows...
    USB > Ethernet > Power > Line 1 fax > Line 2 phone.
Assuming you have the Officejet 4500/Officejet 4500 wireless and not the Office 4500 Desktop (which has no Ethernet).

  • Ink cartridge incompatible ?!

I put in a new ink cartridge that I bought from Walmart. It's an HP specific. It's labeled HP and came in an HP box.  It's numbered 901. It's what I have been using. Suddenly the printer is saying it's not compatible?! Why not? It's a CC653A. I have a 4500 Officejet

Hi myHP4500, If the cartridges that you bought are genuine HP 901's they should not be displaying the incompatible error message. I would suggest that you either return the cartridge to Walmart for contact HP Support. Many Thanks,Francheska

Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
    Open folder Util

If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a non-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.

  • HP Officejet Wireless 4500 g510 n-z Scanner not detected

Hi!  My husband and I purchased a new computer about a year ago and ever since then our HP officejet wireless printer, fax, scanner has not been fully functional.  I have it attached to the CPU through USB.  I have gone through all the driver downloads and software multiple times to no avail.  My computer still doesn't recognize the scanner.  I even downloaded the HP Print and Scan Doctor and it recognizes my product, it then tells me that "The full software solution for your product is not installed on this computer."  Then I attempt to install the software and it says "download failed."  Arghhhhh!  What do I need to do to have a fully functional 3-in-1 printer on my computer.  The product worked just fine on our previous computer but now I can't figure it out!  Please help!  Much gratitude!!!! Sarah

  • Send Fax from PC to HP Officejet 4500 All-in-One G510

When I print to printer HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m fax, no Send a Fax screen pops up asking for the Fax to information. It goes directly to the print queue and justs sits there saying Printing.  Fax works OK when sending paper fax via machine.
This is a new install, using the Install All option from the HP site.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Okay I understand now.  I do not want to give the typical uninstall/reinstall solution as I assume you have probably tried that already.  If not, that may be what you need.  I have quite a few questions for you:
    1.  In your Devices and Printers Folder, right-click over the printer and when you click "See what's printing," does it provide two options (Officejet 4500 and Officejet 4500 Fax)?
    2.  Is it in this queue where you see the print/fax job?
    3.  Does it say offline or anything else in there?
    4.  Do you have the 4500 G510g, a, or n?
    5.  How is the printer connected?  In some models, Fax to PC requires a certain type of connection.  I believe it was a USB connection in some LaserJets.
According to the User Guide, Fax to PC needs to be enabled by selecting Fax to PC under Basic Fax Setup.  Let me know if this helps you any.  If not, answer the 5 questions above please so I can determine if this is a printer problem, connection problem or software issue.
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.
