46HM95 picture distortion issue

TV is an old DLP 46HM95 from Toshiba. Problem occurs on all inputs even with the system menus themselves. I have attached a few images so you can see what it is doing. Basically, parts of the pictures are repeated or in the wrong spots. This happens on the HDMI, Component, and even Coax inputs. Again, it occurs with just the system menus (nothing hooked up except power).
It starts out fine, but after about a minute or two, it starts showing partial lines and shifts in the image and then it gets worse the longer it is on. The TV was put in the basement after this as we have bought a new Panasonic Plasma to replace it (so it was off for a good month or two). I tried it today hoping things might be different and I upgraded the software to 1.3.5. The problem came back almost immediately and this was in the cold basement, so I don't think it is a heat issue (all fans are working). I hope to use the DLP in the basement if the parts I need are cheap enough. My guess is that it is the image processing chip, but I don't know enough to know for sure.
Can anyone help or offer advice?

How do I resolve picture distortion in Adobe Acrobat?

The following image is a screenshot of the distortion we're getting in Adobe Acrobat (part of CS4). (The two pictures should be identical.)
This computer is running Windows 7 and Adobe CS4. We had this problem in the past with Windows XP and CS4, so we did a complete wipe of the computer and installed Windows 7 and CS4. After about 6 weeks or so, this problem has come back, but this time on Windows 7.
When we had this problem on XP, it affected various programs (Quicktime, Windows Photo Gallery, etc.), but so far it's only affect Adobe on Windows 7.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this? (My first thought would be to update the video driver, but I thought I'd first ask if anyone has any other suggestions since updating the video driver didn't resolve the issue when we had XP on this machine.)

Sorry to take a while getting back on this...The Adobe update did not change the picture distortion problem we were having. I downloaded the latest video card driver from NVIDIA's website. Since I installed it, we have had no picture distortion.

Canon Powershot sx60HS picture distorted, Why ?

Picture taken with my Canon Powershot SX60HS is always distorted looks very flat at very right and left corner. See my group photo sample, taken in P-MODE at very left. No effect applied just simple click to shoot. But all my pictures are now just a waste. I do not understand why lens taking photos in this shape can any of expert advice me.....

Iphoto and MobileMe - duplicate pictures, distorted...

I posted this originally under MobileMe and have received no answers at all and it's more an iPhoto 11 issue I think.....
I'm having trouble with iPhoto and my MobileMe gallery. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I upload photos to the MobileMe gallery from iPhoto 11. I just click on that share button in left corner. That goes fine.
But when I to go my mobileme gallery there are duplicates and some of the duplicates are distorted (and when you open them they are sideways). It has something to do with the feature that automatically uploads to my MobileMe. Even when I'm not clicking on the "share" button when I open iPhoto I can see on the left side where is says "library" then "Albums" below that is "web" and it gets that little sort of sync symbol each time I open iPhoto.
Once I close iPhoto, I go to MobileMe gallery and delete the duplicates and distorted photos and all is fine..... until I open iPhoto again then that sync symbol happens and it uploads the photos in that folder under "Web" (which is called Susan) and then I have the doubles and some distorted photos. Oddly when I look in the folder in iPhoto called "susan" under "web" in iphoto there are no duplicates or distorted photos. And it doesn't make duplicates of all of the photos in that "susan" folder under "web" in iphoto, just a few of them.

In the top row, ""Cay and Ms Pix" is a duplicate and distorted. And the "Chris" pix is a duplicate. How do I make it so it stops update with the distorted pix every time I open iPhoto. And why since in iPhoto none of the pix are distorted or sideways are they distorted in MobileMe? If I delete the folder in iPhoto under "web" will it also delete the photos in MobileMe.
I'd just like to understand what the heck is going on here.

The rotated pictures usually occur with portrait photos that come from cameras with the auto rotate feature. I've not see landscape photos do that.
Export those two from the top row to the desktop as full size, max quality jpegs and open them in in Safari. Safari does not read the tag which tells applications how to display the photo. If the photos are OK in Safari then you can import them into iPhoto and use them to replace the original two.
As for the duplicates, I don't know. Here are some fixes you can try:
Backup the library and try the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select options #1, #2 and #6.

I noticed that may of the photos are of low resolution when enlarged. Are you aware of that?

SG asked rsayen06 several important questions to get at the core of that user's Premiere Elements issues. So far I do not see any answers to the questions. An the answers will be in those details. Although you have offered your project settings and saying that you have the same problem, they are but a small part of the troubleshooting equation.
1. What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
2. You say you are putting pictures and music on the Timeline? How many pictures and what are their pixel dimensions? What type of music, what compression and file extension? What is the total duration of the Timeline content?
3. When you playback the Timeline content in the Edit Mode Monitor are you looking at the rendered or unrender Timeline?
4. When you say that you see distortion in the pictures...how are they distorted...
a. from the point of view of pixel aspect ratio, flicker, lines, other?
b. What do your computer resources look like in the way of installed and available RAM and free hard drive space? Are you getting any error messages associated with any of the project difficulties that you are encountering?
c. When you get to the burn dialog, what does the Quality Area show for Space Required and Bitrate?

MMS picture distorted

Does anyone know what I should with my phone (Nokia 3120 Classic) when some of the received MMS picture proportions are distorted (picture is too wide)? Same message as sent to E90 looks fine.

Does this affect font, or only video movies, images, etc? I just can't seem to get a happy font smoothing style. Things always look "fuzzy" to me. Since I have an Early 2008 MBP, I was just wondering is this was an all or nothing issue (the kbase).

I've read various things from graphic distortions that show up on the AHT but not on Apple's test to nothing on the AHT but something on Apple's special hardware test. There seem to be several factors at work, and sometimes the distortion is intermittent, but maybe more likely to occur when the computer is hot. Apparently the NVIDIA problem is not always easy to catch with a test.
Could you post some pictures of what you are seeing? That may give a clue. Is your issue just with font smoothing, or are there other distortions as well?

Picture encoding issues in IE

I've created a website with iWeb and published it to my .mac account. The only issue I've run into is for people viewing it in IE. Everything views ok except with the blog. When you click an individual blog, the picture that accompanies that specific blog doesn't come up but instead a large gray square. (The picture is visible on the blog frontpage, just not on the individual entry itself). However, if you double click on that and change the encoding to Western or Auto-detect, then the picture appears. All other pictures though the website render fine.
I know the best option would be to have IE users switch to Firefox but that is not an option with a few people (older who don't like change!)
Has anybody else experienced this? And is there a fix? Either in iWeb or in IE so the user doesn't have to change the encoding setting for each blog picture. . .?

Picture Distorted with Blu-Ray Player

I have an older Sony Trinitron KV-32FV26 TV and if I connect a Blu Ray Disc Player (Insignia or a Samsung) through Component cables the picture is all distorted and cannot be viewed but if I connect a Sony DVP-NL800H standard DVD player through the same connections it plays fine. Do the Blu-Ray players send a high-def signal no matter what kind of content is trying to be played?
Appreciate any help anybody can give.

Your older TV is not capable of displaying either 1080P or any progressive program at tthat. On a standard definition (SD) non-progressive CRT like yours, blu-ray is a complete waste. Even if it could accept the signal, it wouldn't look any better.

Odd Full-Screen Distortion Issue

Can anyone explain this? This is the second time this issue has happened. The first time it happened was a few weeks back. You cannot use the computer when this happens; force quitting accomplishes nothing. Fortunately, however, you can take a screen shot. I was using the 9600GT to avoid the screen flickering associated with using the 9400GT.

I was running Safari when this issue occurred. Most likely, Mail, Microsoft Word, and iTunes were open as well.
In the two times this has occurred, the screen will start will a few dots all over the screen like snowfall, and then it will get progressively worse (as seen in the pictures).
The computer will completely freeze for approximately a minute (force quit accomplishes nothing as the box doesn't show up), and after a minute, once you can force quit, you can move the mouse but opening another application like Activity Monitor will take a very long time. I usually force the computer to shut down before that point is reached.

Audigy 2 ZS Distortion Issues With Vista - See if this solution works for you guys

First of All Creative - It's sad, really sad that you really haven't supported your customers. As such a big maker of excellent products, I'm disappointed to know that you have barely provided driver support to your customers. I've been buying Creative products since 1997 - Also - I purposely upgraded my sound card on my Hp Media Center to an Audigy 2 ZS. Secondly - I formatted my computer and re-installed Vista. Before that, the sound card i.e. the sound worked fine (after a lot of trial and errors with different drivers, i somehow managed to get it working without Snap, Crackle and Pop Issues. In other words, I experienced distorted playback when I first installed Vista. Now that I re-installed Vista - Everything installed but as usual - only issue: Yup, you guessed it right.
Creative Audigy 2 ZS Infamous Snap Crackle Pop (SCP) I did try k_daniels drivers and even though I applaud for his efforts - unfortunately it didn't work for me but i'm sure they would if you did the following - ) Uninstall all Creative Drivers Using Driver Sweep2) Do not install the driver through Windows Update (did not work for me)3) Install latest drivers from Creative or K_Daniel's Package4) Install Vista Codec Pack5) Install DirectX06) Then do the following: Got this sorted. Hope it works for everyone..found the answer searching Google.

Click PLAYBACK DEVICES
Right click SPEAKERS
Click PROPERTIESClick ADVANCED Make sure there's no tick marks in any of the options there including ENHANCEMENTS.
This should sort it. [After doing all this, I have no sound issues whatsoever - Crystal Clear Audio Quality but still not better then XP] I am planning to try K_Daniels pack with all the extra applications and I'll post later on in regards to my experience with the pack. Good Luck P.S: Hope this helps somebody because doing all that helped me get back the audio clarity I was looking for without any distortion whatsoever.

Im not using a decoder, only an amplifier alone with two speakers ... My cable is plugged in line out , and then plugged on line in of the amplifier.
The distortion is very audible, in HL 2, Battlefield 2, etc
When got a explosion, a shot from shotgun, missile, the sound comes distorted ...
Any more hints?

Screensaver source: Picture loading issue!

After upgrading my MacMini to Yosemite I started having this issue. The Screensaver source is loading for a while and then shows an error message on the screen telling that was not able to connect to the NAS (network drive). so no pictures are loaded and the dropdown list is empty so I cannot change the source to the standard options like National Geographic pics or the others. I also noticed that iPhoto folder is not present in my screensaver desktop picture folders like it is in my MBpro.
I have been trying to solve this issue and no luck yet, I re-installed Yosemite, re-installed iPhoto, I removed several plists (screensaver, desktop, systempreferences, etc. ) and I am still dealing with the same issue. Something I have done recently looks like does something but at the end the system went back to the same state (I rebuilt iPhoto database, during the rebuilding process the screensaver started working as expected, but when the re-build finished everything went wrong again). I called AppleCare and the first technician was not able to help and the line for the Genius technician was so busy that I was not able to wait that long. So I guess there is a lot of people having problems with Yosemite or iOS8.
Does anyone have a clue about how to fix this issue? My next move is to bring my MacMini to the AppleStore.

I solved the problem by creating a new library in iPhoto and removing the current library. However, create a backup of your pictures if you are using iPhoto as your photo album / organizer, this will kill the whole library and its contents. For creating a new library hold the option key while opening iPhoto. I found that my problem was an issue with the Desktop & Screensaver pane trying to open the iPhoto library. Looks like I had a corrupted file or photo in it. The following link explains how to fix the iPhoto link but if it does not work for you as it did not work for me, you might need to do what I did, create a new iPhoto library.

You can also try to repair the library using the repair tool in iPhoto, but that did not work for me neither.

IPod distortion issues following PC upgrade

I had to replace my PC in a hurry when the hard drive died, so bought a Packard Bell Windows 7 beastie. Yeah, laugh it up. The first time I synced my iPod (an 8GB second generation Nano, a little over three years old) everything worked perfectly, with no problems playing the transferred tunes. On all subsequent syncs, some of the transferred songs are peppered with distortion (random sub-second squeaking sounds, static and dropouts).
Now, I'm reasonably confident that the problem isn't with the MP3 files themselves, as they played fine on both iPod and iTunes with my previous machine and still sound fine through iTunes on my new machine. They're all 256kbps rips or higher. I'm also reasonably confident that the problem isn't with the configuration of my iPod (I don't use SoundCheck or any EQ) or my Etymotic earphones, as I get the same problems when my iPod's plugged into a hi-fi.
Things I've done to attempt to fix the issue:
Regressed from iTunes 9.0.2 64 bit to 32 bit version
Upgraded again from iTunes 9.0.2 32 bit to 64 bit version
Wiped all the tunes from my iPod and reloaded them, several times
Reset my iPod to the factory defaults and reloaded the latest iPod firmware (v1.1.3, IIRC)
Vague, possible causes that I doubt I could fix myself:
It's a hardware issue with my iPod, mysteriously occurring for the first time only four days after I replaced my PC
It's a problem with transferring the files between my new PC and my iPod
I only have access to one iPod and one PC, so trying a different version of either isn't an option in the diagnostic process.
If anybody has any similar experiences, thoughts or possible solutions I'd be delighted to hear them. Thanks!

Missing pictures & Sync Issues

I have upgraded to 10.10.3 on my Mac and 8.3 on my iPhone and iPad.
Strange things are happening and the sync is not perfect between all my devices :
On my Mac :
- The Photos tab shows 28 386 pictures and 1 317 videos (total 29 703 elements)
- The All Photos album shows 29 561 pictures and 1 317 video (total 30 878 elements)
=> Why is there 1 175 pictures showing ad a difference ??
Other strange things :
On my iPad :
- In the Photos tab, if I add or remove a picture on one device (Mac or iPhone) it will update well on the iPad but it is always saying "14 pictures to transfer"
I tried rebooting the iPad but I always have this message, been there for more than 12 hours...
=> Is there something I can do ??
- The iPhoto Events album is full of empty folder that I deleted but they keep coming back.
=> Is there something I can do ??
On my iPhone :

After so much beta testing I was expecting a smooth and perfect sync ! Never had any issues with Dropbox.

HHaving same issues. Every device showing different number of pics.. Not as much as yours but they are all off.. Not one single device matches. (iMac, macbook Air, iPad, iphone) to solve an issues I turned off iCloud Photo Library on my iPad.. And deleted any images that were locally saved. So photo library is at 0. Then I tried turning iCloud Photo Library back on, but now all I see is big updating sign in middle and no pictures.. It's been updating whole night over 10 hours..
bugs bugs bugs..
anyone have any ideas...
