4th day in a row premiere won't launch, Adobe where is your customer service?  Do they exist?

Bought elements and downloaded.  When I attempt to click either the organizer or photo editor option from the they both instantly crash. I have not been able to open the program at all.  Attempted to run as admin with no luck.  This is a fully authorized and activated copy I purchases from B&H photo and downloaded from their link and activated with adobe serial number.

I have uninstalled with Ccleaner and reinstalled and I'm still getting this error message. I have zero problems with any other program.  It is installed on my new SSD.  Fact, this is the first crash i have seen on this computer of anything.  My specs are far above what I need but here is my comp just in case.
Windows 7 custom built PC, AMD fx 8320 3.5ghz, MSI gtx 970, 8gb kingston hyper x ram, Asrock 970 extreme 4 MOBO, Corsair 600 PSU, Intel 730 256gb ssd
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Josh

Anyway to update the people of my issue here's how it shook down ultimately.  After 7 days of begging and pleading with your company for someone to support the product I called back the retailer that I purchased the key from and asked them what to do.  They told me that they would work through the technical issue with me if they could and if not refund me the purchase price because they STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.  Funny concept, huh?  When the rep was helping me he looked through your forums and was STUNNED at how many people needed help with issues and your staff and employees were nowhere to be found.  We had a good chuckle over the ineptitude and heartless attitude it would take to screw that many people at once.  They tried to help me, even though it was in NO WAY their responsibility to do so.  We could not resolve the issue so they are issuing me a refund for your companies refusal to stand behind it's product, and leaving it's customers out in the cold with ZERO support.  This was without question the worst experience I have ever had with any company, period. And I am forced to get my internet from Time Warner if that gives you any perspective. The lack of support Adobe offers people is borderline criminal.  For those of you that the products work immediately  they could could probably care less.  But for the THOUSANDS on the forums currently that Adobe is leaving out in the cold and letting it's "community" deal with Adobe's problems, I wish you the best of luck.  5 different threads, 7 days of my life, multiple attempts to contact via phone and online chat only to be told "my question doesn't qualify for support". I have a degree in web development and I build custom Pc's on the side for fun, so I would hate to see how someone who isn't "tech savvy" would deal with this company.  God forbid. That was my experience, I truly hope that the thousands out there right now having issues with this software don''t have to go though what I did.   To the few generous members of Adobe's community I would like to graciously thank you again for attempting to help me.  To Adobe, I truly wanted to use your product.  I REALLY did.  Your company and it's policy made it impossible to do that.  I gotta say, from the bottom of my heart, this was the most horrific experience I have ever had with a company bar none.  You desperately need to reavaluate your customer service and support option.  You trade on the stock market for gods sake and you just let people toil  in your forums with persistent issues.   It really is disgraceful.

  • Premiere won't launch.

Premier CC stops working cant open. I had the same problem with Photoshop, but it opened long enough to change the performance settings. PS is now working fine.  Premiere won't launch. It hangs up and an error message shows up saying, "program has stopped working."  I had a similar problem with Photoshop, but it would at least launch for a brief period of time. I changed the performance settings and now Photoshop CC is running great.  Is there another way to check the performance settings without the program being open?

  • Upgrade to Creative Cloud 7 days ago - still no access to full products customer service not helpful

I upgraded to the full Creative Cloud access on the 13th of April through customer service. I saw a promotional offer for $29.99/month for access to all the CC apps, but since I was already signed up for Premiere Pro CC at $19.99/month it said I needed to speak to customer service to upgrade.
I did that. The customer service rep upgraded my service to $29.99/month and assured me that I would now have access to the full creative suite.
You can see that I was billed for $29.99 on April 13th:
After that upgrade nothing changed on my end. I had full access to Adobe Premiere CC like before, but otherwise all other programs(photoshop, illustrator, etc) still downloaded and ran as trial versions. I contacted customer service two more times. They were unable to resolve the problem and only escalated the ticket.
I have not had any response from either ticket. And looking at it now it looks like one of them is listed as "withdrawn" with no notes from Adobe's end and no resolution to my problem. The other ticket is still open pending Adobe's response.
To top it all off today in Premiere CC I received a notice that I would lose access to Premiere in 5 days because of some error in the billing information. So in 5 days time I will be paying $29.99/month and have access to zero Adobe products.
So I'm writing this post in hopes of actually getting someone that can solve my problems to take a look. I don't want to spend another 2 hours in a chat-box with an overseas customer service rep who only copys and pastes pre-formatted responses to me. I don't want my ticket escalated and then ignored. I want the service that I paid for, or I want my money refunded.
What I think happened is that the customer service rep who upgraded my membership to the full creative cloud suite forgot to flip some switch. It seems like they increased my billing rate but didn't actually change my subscription.
Here's the picture that shows exactly what service shows up in my account:
Here's what my creative cloud app shows - notice that I only have access to trial versions of most of the software:
Please don't tell me to try logging out of creative cloud, or deleting files on my end, or check my DNS settings, or any of that. I've been through it - twice - with your customer service reps already. It did nothing. The issue is on Adobe's side. Somewhere in some database my account is not set to full creative cloud access. There is nothing I can do on my end to rectify this.
Please - I would either like this rectified, or have my money refunded. Anything else is unacceptable. And as a whole my experience with customer service has been frustrating, unhelpful, and not up to the standards I expect from a high-class company like Adobe.

Have you logged out of your Cloud subscription and then back in?

  • I just upgraded Bridge. Now it won't launch.

I just a few minutes ago upgraded Bridge in order to have the latest RAW compatibility.
    Now it won't launch.
WHERE do I "check with the developer" to see if Bridge CC works with this version of Mac OS X. I am using a 2007 MacPro, running on OS 10.6.8. Not possible to upgrade to 10.8 or later.
Adobe Bridge CC WAS working earlier today, before the update. How do I go back to the version of Bridge that I was using? Or is there a better solution?

You can get it by rolling back to a previous Time Machine backup or upgrading to 10.7.

  • Trial won't launch and won't uninstall

I'm working on a Mac, still within the one month trial period. Wanted to move forward to purchase Premiere but can't launch the program (icon just bounces and then stops). Tried to uninstall but the uninstaller says there's an error. Any ideas on how to get it re-installed?
    Thanks!

Thanks for your replies. I worked with Adobe customer service. They had me run the Cleaner Tool, which solved the Premiere issue (it had to be reinstalled).  HOWEVER this method caused more problems than solutions. The CC Cleaner also completely wiped out earlier versions of Adobe Software on my computer including: Bridge, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and others.
Use the CC Cleaner with care.

  • Premiere Elements 13 won't launch in Windows 8.1 (Click the icon and nothing happens)

I'm running the trial version of Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 8.1 64-bit. It's a brand new PC built for video editing. Everything worked perfectly for about a week and all of a sudden I'm unable to start the program. I click the icon and nothing happens. No splash screen, no error code, no spinning circle cursor.
I have the latest video card drivers for my graphics card.
I've tried uninstalling the program, removed every last Adobe file from my PC, uninstalled all instances of Microsoft Visual C++ and reinstalled Adobe Premiere Elements 13. I tried the same with a fresh download of the program. Neither worked.
I've tried installing a couple .dll files based on a similar thread (where a program called iLivid was the issue). I don't have iLivid on this PC and adding the new drivers didn't work.
For the few days that the software was working I loved it and was ready to purchase. Unfortunately I won't be able to buy it until I can get it to launch on my PC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

My major problem was with the reliability of the uninstall reinstall of Premiere Elements 12 Windows. I did not encounter any issues in this regard with 11. And, I have only looked at the 30 day tryout of 13 from Adobe. My computers are Windows XP 32 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, Windows 8 and later 8.1 64 bit. The following describes what got me through the worse of these hassels.

I am not sure if the above will work for you with 13. But, it would be worthwhile to check them out.
Since you are dealing with current version 13, it might be a good idea to get Adobe via its Adobe Chat involved, with the hope of some remote control of your computer troubleshooting to try to get to the core of the issue. Chat Panels have been hard to come by for some of these issues, but let us try this route.
Please click on the following link
    Contact Customer Care
    Premiere Elements
    Adobe ID and signing in
Adobe ID, sign in, and account help
    Chat Panel
If the link does not hold its set, then you will need to navigate to the Chat Panel using the above titles as guides.
Depending on the outcome....if you purchased Premiere Elements 13 from Adobe direct within the last 30 days, you can request your
money back from Adobe. If you purchased elsewhere, then you are left to deal with the return policy of the seller.
We will be watching for further developments.

  • Premiere Elements 11 won't launch

    G'day,
I downloaded the trial version of PRE11 a few weeks ago, but I couldn't get it to run. Upon launch I get the welcome screen with two choices, to launch the Organizer or the Video Editor, but neither of these actually start. It seems as it is trying though, as I see a scrolling line below my choice after clicking it. No error code or anything like it, it simply won't start (and I don't see any process starting either).
Nevertheless, a few days ago I bought PRE11 (Win/Mac DVD, English) and installed it. Exactly the same behaviour as with the trial, apart from one thing. When I try to lanuch the Video Editor I get the licence agreement. After agreeing, it's the same thing though, nothing happens.
I've read this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4773135) and tried to see if I had any of the symptoms described, or if any of the suggested solutions worked. So far, no luck. I tried Large_Donkey's solution (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4893868#4893868) with the msvcr80.dll and msvcr100.dll files, but it didn't make any difference. Same thing with VDOsurfer's reply (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4903592#4903592) I also tried primarykeytech's suggestion (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4905283#4905283) and downloaded Dependency Walker and ran both Premiere Elements 11.exe and Premiere Elements.exe. At first, it reported that IEShims.dll and gpscv.dll was missing/couldn't be loaded, so I added these to the Premiere Elements folder. Then I got a message (still while running Premiere Elements.exe in Dependency Walker) saying that sysntfy.dll was missing, so I added this one as well to the Premiere Elements folder. After this, I still get three messages in Dependency Walker, but no further description on which files it can't find:
"Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in an implicitly dependent module.
Error: Modules with different CPU types were found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module."
And none of these changes made any difference, I tried to launch the Video Editor and/or Organizer, but it's the same thing; won't launch, no error message. I've now resetted everything back to the way it was on installation, and tried to continue finding any solution.
Some specs, even if maybe not all of these are relevant. If any other specs are needed, just inform me.
    Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
    CPU: Intel i7 950 3,06GHz
    PSU: Corsair HX 650W
    RAM: Corsair XMS 12GB DDR3 2000MHz
    Graphics: Nvidia/Gigabyte GTX 460
    Sound: M-Audio Delta 1010LT
Drives: 2x500GB WD Black HDD (programs and data), 1x120GB Intel X25-M SSD (OS)
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
    Monitor: Dell U2711
Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, I tried the blacklist approach by adding a "blacklist.txt" file to the VST plugins folders I have, but to no avail. I also read the last post you made in the "Failure of Premiere to Launch - One Possibility VST's" thread, with the answers from Adobe Engineering. As that post was made almost 2 years ago, I somehow think this wouldn't be an issue in PrE 11 anymore?
Anyway, while trying to launch Premiere Elements.exe ~200 times the last 24h, I've not noticed anything strange in Event Viewer, no errors or warnings connected to the launch of PrE (or, for that matter, no errors or warnings at all during the time I try to launch the program). One thing I did notice, though, is that the process Premiere Elements 11.exe actually starts (I chose not to display the welcome screen every time, but to launch the Video Editor right away) but then quickly terminates. Utually it manage to get between 15-20MB of memory before it crashes and terminate the process, only takes 1 or 2 seconds from launch to termination.
Slowly losing my hope to actually discover the cause, as I'm shooting in the dark evey time (not getting any error messages or hints on what actually fails). Really needed to use PrE this week, maybe have to find some free alternative on the interwebs.
    Regards Henrik
Edit: Searching deeper on the Adobe forums regarding VST scanning issues with PrPro/E, and it baffles me how long this error seems to have been going on, even if it's not 100% certain that is the error in my case.
Edit2: Once again a shot in the dark, but I'm thinking my troubles may be due to multiple hard drives? As things are scattered over 3 discs (OS on one, programs on the second one and personal data on the third one) this might cause some path/reference issues? I was thinking this since Depencency Walker gives me the following error messages:
"Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in an implicitly dependent module.
Error: Modules with different CPU types were found.
Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found.
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module."
And it also states that it can't find IESHIMS.DLL and GPSVC.DLL (a road I already have been down earlier). This got me thinking PrE can't find the correct files from where it is installed (E:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere Elements 11). On the other hand, I'm getting the exact same error messages on Photoshop CS5 (which runs fine), and the same two dll files seems to be missing. Even tried running a few other programs that work, such as games, though Depencency Walker, and even they seems to miss these dll files.

  • I upgraded my iPod Touch 4th Gen yesterday.  Now it won't play music, which is the main thing I use it for.  Over 11,000 songs [it's a 64GB model] -- will I actually have to restore the device and re-add all that music?

I upgraded my iPod Touch 4th Gen yesterday.  Now it won't play music, which is the main thing I use it for.  Over 11,000 songs [it's a 64GB model] -- will I actually have to restore the device and re-add all that music?
[Music files are still there, and I can play them on my computer directly from the iPod [just one track at a time] but not in the usual way, through headphones.]
On the Summary page of iTunes for the iPod, it shows 50-plus gigabytes of "Other" content and no music, which was not previously the case.  I assume this is related to the problem.
I can bring up individual tracks on the iPod and see cover art, but cannot play the music.

iCloud is free, iTunes match is $25 a year.
I had the same problem and when I went to Settings I had 0 songs, even though they were obviously still there since I only had 15GB free on my 64GB device.
I decided to do a complete reset/restore of my 4th gen iPod Touch, Bad move! I've been messing with it for hours, and it simply won't restore--it keeps hanging on a black screen with an Apple logo and a progress bar at about 10%, sometimes it goes completely blank and tries again, with the same result. (I've posted my question/plea for help here: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19735862 )
I'm ready to bang my head against the wall! I can put the device in recovery mode, connect to iTunes on my computer, and get it back to the setup screen, but when I go through the process again and try to do an iCloud backup I get the same reset/restore loop.
I could start from scratch, but I really, really, really don't want to go through all of my hundreds of apps, reinstall them one by one, etc. etc. etc.
I thought that once I started using iCloud, I didn't need to sync with iTunes anymore--guess I was wrong.

  • Premiere won't accept new source files in slightly different formats...

I'm using CS3 (and I installed CS4 and got the same problem).  I've created a video using six different source videos that were originally encoded in XVID.  I now know that was a bad idea but at the time I didn't know how to convert the video so I went ahead and used them.  Now my project crashes to the desktop whenever I open it without any sort of error message.
This is a project that I started over a year ago and I set it aside because I didn't want to deal with the issue, but I really want to finish this project.  Now I have a better handle on what sort of codecs work well with premiere and I use Super C to convert the videos to a friendly format and I haven't had any problems with my projects crashing since then.
So now I've revisted the project that is crashing and I have tried converting the original source videos to a more friendly format, but hte problem is, even when I get it to a format that is pretty much exactly the same settings as the original (size, fps, etc) premiere won't accept it.  When I open the project and it asks me "Where is the file..." I'll point to the new file and premiere tells me "The selected file cannot be linked because its type (video) does not match original file's type (audio and video)".. I try this after opening the project by right clicking on the asset and choosing "link media..." but of course I get the same error message.
What i've gotten done in the project is like 10 hours worth of work and it would be a shame to lose all of it just because Premiere is too picky about switching from one media type to another .. what are my options in getting this to work?

    Welcome to the forum.
Yes, Xvid is a delivery-only format for delivery-only, but you know that too.
What I would do would be to Open that original Project, and then Offline the original Video. If you named the converted files the same, except for the extension, you should be able to then Import the replacement files and manually replace those. Make sure that when you choose to Offline the Assets, that you do a Save_As, so that the original Project is NOT overwritten - keep it safe.
You might try to Relink from the Project Panel, before you do the Import. I do not know if that will be allowed, due to the extension difference, but that would be the easiest way, if it works. Try that first. With the material Offline, Rt-click on each AV file, and choose Link Media. If you used the same file names, you should be able to find the converted versions. Let us know if this works, or if you get rejected.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

Safari on my iPad says service temporarily unavailable. This has now happened two days in a row. What can I do to correct this? It has never happened before in 7 months of owning my iPad. I bought a wireless Logitech keyboard, but that should not affect Safari? It worked earlier in the day yesterday with then keyboard.

Also if I ever have to reboot again, is there some way to save the apps I have on my iPad? I did choose the option to back up prior to restarting, but apps had to be manually re-entered?
This has me confused. Rebooting the iPad (holding down on the sleep and home buttons until the Apple logo appears on the screen) should not in any way, shape or form, remove content from the iPad.
Then you stated that you chose the option to back up before restarting? There is no option to backup before "restarting" on the iPad. Are you restoring the device in iTunes?

I cannot get premiere elements 10 to launch.  Restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled.  Won't launch

My recommendation would be to contact Adobe, since they have the ability to walk you through some troubleshooting steps. But it looks like they've already thrown it to us!
    1) Have you manually gone to Windows Update and ensured you have even the non-critical updates (which can include important drivers)?
    2) Have you manually gone to the ATI or nVidia sites and ensured you have the latest drivers for your graphics card?
    3) Have you cleaned your temp files and defragmented your drive(s)?
    4) Have you ensured that the program's licensing has not corrupted? http://forums.adobe.com/thread/542377
Finally, you say the program won't launch. At what point does it fail? Do you get a Welcome Screen? Does it only fail when you try to open yesterday's project or does it also fail if you try to start a new project?
Another other details you can provide could also be helpful including: How fast your processor is, how much RAM you have, how much free, clean defragmented space is on your hard drive(s) and if you are editing on your C drive or if you have your media and project files on another drive.

I suspect it might just be built into the phone's firmware to do that... and I have to hit "ignore" whenever it happens, but I just wanted confirmation of that...
