64 bit windows 7 and icloud
Having installed icloud, and attempt to open the control panel, it fails to open. has anyone any suggestions for a fix
The "not a valid win 32 application" message usually indicates that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
What browser were you using for the download? Can you get a working installer if you use Firefox instead of IE or vice versa?

Websphere 6.1 64-Bit (Windows) and native libraries shipped with CF8
After more deep tests, i found the following issues:
- Reporting does not work, because ctr files are crypted (why
?) and can't be decrypted (failed to load native library
nvr_win.dll)
It is possible to provide an 64-Bit version of nvr_win.dll ?
Or, simply, how to decrypt ctr files ?
- CFIMAGE runs slow, because JAI uses Sun's Advanced Imaging
API. This API uses native DLL's and there is no 64-Bit Windows
version available. This API may run without the native DLL's, but
it's really slow (An "ThreadMonitor W WSVR0605W:.." may be
happend).
The Server monitor don't fully work (this may be not an
64-Bit issue):

Migratiing CR XI to 64 bit Windows and RDC ASP
Which is the best time/cost strategy for the following problem:
We have developed a WEB application that is running on a WINDOWS Server 2003 (32bit). The aplication was programmed to use de COM+ environment with asp for the Activex viewer.
We are migrating it to a new machine with WINDOWS SERVER 2003 R2 Standard X64 EDITION.
On our first try on this machine (we didn´t apply the SP´s), CR developer performed OK, but not the viewer.
Now we have the SP2, SP3 and SP4, and Crystal Reports 2008.
Wich is our best strategy? Because we found out that unfortunalty CR 2008 which is 64 bit enabled does not support RDC, and reprogramming the system can be quite time consuming or the Service Packs are oru answers?The best and most economic strategy is to install the Service Packs and follow the instruccions found in http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/848968f3-baa0-46f9-b1e6-ef81dd09b015.mspx?mfr=true
Deployment Guide APENDIX D.
It enables IIS 6.0 to run 32-bit Web applications on 64-bit Windows using the Windows-32-on-Windows-64 (WOW64) compatibility layer. -
64 bit windows and odbc connection
I am new to the forum, so please bear with me. We have developers that have to run in Win 7 64 bit. I have installed Crystal Reports 12 on three systems. I used the c:\windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe to set up the ODBC. BTW, this is an Intersystems Cache 32 bit driver. The connectivity tests ok from the Data Source Administrator. When I open Crystal Reports and go to Logon Log off server, it does not see the connection at all. If I try to run a report, it does not see the connection.
The kicker is, I got it run on one system, but not the other two. They are setup identically. I suspect that I tried so many different things to get it to work, that I lost my way. I do remember doing something with the registry on the one that finally worked
I have tried 64 bit drivers from Intersystems and 32 bit. It was the 32 bit driver that finally worked on one system. It could be something in the registry, but I sure canu2019t find it!
I have been through dozens of posts and all over the Internet looking for a solution. Everybody says to use c:\windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. Apparently, that's only part of the story.
We use Crystal Reports a lot and I need to get this resolved. I appreciate any help you guys can give! Thanks, BeckycHi Beckyc,
Start off with this [Module |https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006252802008E/modules.zip]utility, you can compare the list files from the one working PC against the none working ones.
Did you create the DSN under the System Tab? If not try that.
Then compare PATH statement between the 2 PC's. Not sure if the Client needs it specified or not.
If that fails then Download Process Monitor from Microsoft and then compare log files for the database DSN.
And then you can enable ODBC Tracing, it may tell you also.
If CR can't see the DSN it's somethign in the environment causing the problems.
Have you contacted Intersystems Cache to see if they can explain it?

Upload Multiple Pictures function not available for 64-bit Windows and IE 11
Hello!
The problem is as follows:
1) Open Picture library;
2) Open "Upload".
Result: "Upload Multiple Pictures" function is missing. Only "Upload Picture" functions is available.
Specs of my PC = Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2013 64-bit + Shp Developer Tools 2010.
I have also tried the following configurations and they also doesn't work:
A. Win 7 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 32-bit;
B. Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 64-bit;
C. Win 8.1 64-bit + IE 11 + Office 2010 32-bit.
It does work for IE 10, but that's not the case.
Some more notes:
- For Office 2010 Picture Manager worked fine;
- STSUpld.UploadCtl.dll works fine, I can upload multpile documents;
- Tried to switch on Private browsing, put site in trusted sites.
Do you have some more ideas where to look for a solution? For me it looks like deadend already, I have tried almost everything what I could find on google.
Best Regards,
RolandsHI Roland,try checking this with the Firefox or chrome.
So if you are one of few that are using IE11.you have probably noticed many corruptions and misbehaves in UI. So far I have discovered the following problems:
1. Calendar web part is extremely corrupted
2. You will click Settings > Edit Page, Pages will not enter edit mode.
3. Web Part Properties cannot be modified.
So until we get official CU or SP from SharePoint team, run your sites in compatibility mode.
How to run Compatibility mode: Please find the ways to get the mode.
Way 1:
1. Press ALT + T when viewing your SharePoint page
2. Click Compatibility View Settings in the menu that appears
3. Click Add to add the current SharePoint site to your list of compatibility view pages
4. Click Close

I am getting an error message when initializing iTunes.
iTunes was not properly installed. If you wish to import or burn CD's
you need to reinstall iTunes.
I uninstalled, cleaned the reg, and reloaded a few times.
Diagnostic DVD/CD test results "Upper Filter Status Failed" (no CD Rom Driver found)
All seems to be working ok otherwise and CD's seem to be importing OK

A number of people also had problems with the creation of the CD configuration folder, but as your iTunes is working, I guess that doesn't apply to you. -
How to develop a plugin for 64-bit windows 2008 server?
I have developed a plugin to open local application from web pages, but the plugin could only run on 32-bit windows and 32-bit and 64-bit windows 7, it couldn't work on 64-bit windows 2008 server. The plugin was compiled by vs2008 studio on 32-bit windows xp. Any instructions or advices, men of genius? Thanks
Hi Gnittala,
Thanks for your reply.
I debug the javascript code in firebug on windows 8 and found that firefox would be not responding while executing "document.body.append(myPlugin)".
My javascript code is below:
function openLocalApp(cmdPath, cmdLine) {
var npMyPlugin = navigator.mimeTypes["application/mozilla-npruntime-scriptable-plugin"];
if (npMyPlugin) {
var myPlugin = document.createElement("embed");
myPlugin.style.visibility = "hidden";
myPlugin.type = "application/mozilla-npruntime-scriptable-plugin";
myPlugin.width = 0;
myPlugin.height = 0;
document.body.appendChild(myPlugin);
myPlugin.foo(cmdPath, cmdLine);
} else {
alert("Failed to create the plugin!");
And firefox plugin's source code copys from the following link:
http://mxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/modules/plugin/samples/npruntime/
Just changed a little.
I know the sample is very old, but newer proper sample couldn't be found. So if you can give me a newer sample, I'll appreciate.
Thanks again. -
OBIEE 11G 64-Bit Windows LDAP Admin Server Startup Issue
All,
I have OBIEE 11G installed on 64-bit Windows, and can see all my LDAP users inside Admin Console just fine. When I reorder my LDAP above the DefaultAuthenticator, and make them both 'SUFFICIENT', my Admin Server no longer starts. It hangs on a line in the AdminServer.log that roughly says '<Security initializing using security realm myrealm.>'. Has anyone ran into this? If so, how do you get the Admin Server to start with a non default LDAP authenticator? I've tried re-ordering numerous ways with the DefaultIdentityAsserter in the middle and at the bottom; I've also tried switching the Control Flags on both with REQUIRED and OPTIONAL, all to no avail. Finally, I tried deleting out the DefaultAuthenticator all together, and it still won't start. At this point, I'm assuming this is another 64-bit issue that was not tested properly. Any thoughts/help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
JoshPaul,
Unfortunately that made no difference. I have pasted in the startup log below. Perhaps someone has some insight into what's happening?

Where can I find a version of Premier Elements 11 that will run on 64 bit Windows 8?
Hi
I have purchased a Premier Elements 11 over the net and downloaded it over the net. It tells me it won't install on a 64 bit windows and that I need another version, anybody know where I can get one from?Where did you download the installers from? If you choose the download option and ordered directly from Adobe then please see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1006208?tstart=0&promoid=KBHJQ for information on how to locate and download your purchased Adobe software.

Timetable for 64 bit Windows XE
Hi,
Anyone know what the timetable is for a release of XE for 64 bit Windows? I have a client that I need to deploy an application for and the installation failed on
64 bit Windows and they are not interested in supporting 32 bit Windows servers so I am stuck at this point. I found a couple of links instructing how to address
the registry error but even after following these I was still unable to connect to the instance after the install.
Thanks
Bill1. Start the installer ‘Setup.exe’ and click Next until asked about password.
2. Do not press next. Open with Windows Explorer the folder like this:
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp{60712028-B7B0-4EC3-9C28-663111EC954A} - this might be different depending on whether server or desktop 64 bit Windows .. but could always search for necessary file in point 3.
3. There will be a file OracleMTSRecoveryService.reg. Make a copy and rename the copy to KEY_XE.reg
the click Next..
Have done this on a couple M$ Azure hosted Windows 64 bit servers and can access Apex application from remote machines with no issue on them. -

Hi,
You can download and install software and drivers for your printer from the link below.

Hi,
I just try to install the setup download from apple website for iTune and iCloud.
During the installation, there was error message prompt out "There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
I am using Window 7 32 bit. I have try several time for install, but the result is getting same error message.
Anyone can help on this??????
Thanks.
JustinI have also tried extracting the individual components to the temp file and attempting to install them individually despite being unable to remove the previous install of Apple Software Updater. The outcome, both Apple Software Updater and itunes encountered the same error message during the install process.

What you have experienced, though annoying, doesn't necessarily mean someone has hacked your account, though if you were finding that you were blocked because the sending limit had been reached that might indicate that you had been hacked.
What can happen is that when people receive emails which appear to come from their own address but they haven't sent they naturally tend to be concerned: however it's most unlikely that anyone has hacked their account, they've just been targeted by one of two common spammers' techniques: both arise because it's all too easy to forge the 'from' address on messages to be something other than the real one.
There are two methods. One is that the sender has forged the 'from' address to be the same as the 'to' address (so other people will see it coming from themselves, not you), presumably in the hope of confusing spam filters. It's harmless, if extremely annoying. Delete it (never ever answer spam or try to unsubscribe from it), and you don't need to be worried about it.
The other problem is that a spammer is forging your address as the 'from' address on a whole batch of messages. The first thing you hear about this is when you start getting bounce messages because the spam has been sent to non-existent addresses and is being bounced to you. There's no point at all in responding to it. It's infuriating but normally stops after a bit as they move on to another forged address.
There isn't really anything you can do about it: closing the account isn't really worth the hassle unless you are totally swamped, because you will have to tell everyone your new address. Apple can't really do any more than they already are about spam. However changing your password on general principles is a good idea. -
Installed latest itunes update and computer tried to burn a playlist to CD and realized computer no longer recognizes my CD/DVD drive. After doing some data mining, found out from community this is an long standing APPLE problem- which doesn't get much tech support in terms of fixes. I have an HPPavillion DV6 64 bit, Windows 7 OS . On my Dell Latitude D620, Windows XP 32 bit system and my 6510 printer wireless connection (Linksys EA4500) , everything works fine after the computer is booted. After a period of time (usually overnight), I lose connection to the printer (the scanner icon with a red x is shown on my Windows task bar and I can't print. Ran Windows Fix and the HP fix programs. The only thing that solves it is to reboot the computer. A second symptom is that my IE8 stops connecting to the internet at the same time (gives a 'waiting for' response that never changes). Firefox still connects OK when this is happening. So I suspect the problem isn't with the printer, but with my Windows set up. It is a fresh XP SP3 install (hard drive crashed, but it happened before also). I reset IE, checked my proxy, no malware, happens with or without firewalls and security programs.
Hoping that someone else has run into this problem. Been all over Google, and the IE doesn't work / Firefox works is fairly common, but none of the fixes helps.If you want you can reload Firefox 4.0 or the last "old" version is 3.6.16 and is available here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Just reinstall your choice of FF. The bookmarks are in a different directory and are NOT overwritten. Some of the Add-ons that worked in 3.6 DO NOT work with 4.0, pay attention and head any warnings when you start 4.0.
I had to disable extensions: Flashblock and WOT

I am a Firefox Veteran. Been around since the NCSA web browser days and used the first Firefox web browsers. I have never liked or trusted Microsoft Windows, so I've never used Internet Explorer. I had tweaked Windoze Blue Screen Of Death software from the Windows 3.0 days and did minor maintenance on the "Pizza Boxes" to keep them alive until I or my duty station could afford a newer one. Firefox has always performed for me working for "Uncle Sam" or at home. I keep Firefox and the versions: Sea Monkey, Aurora, Nightly on my laptop because I like Firefox and I like to switch from one browser to the other sometimes -- plus, in a Windows crash, I have a backup browser. Windows always "Crashes"; somethings never change. My 32-bit Firefox doesn't seem as reliable on my 64-bit 'Windoze' 8 as it was on Windows 7. My hope is that some of the Firefox Gurus have a 64-bit Firefox up on blocks in the shed out back ready to rock and roll or at least release as experimental to be played with and tested. Thanks guys -- Keep up the good work. Sam
Someday. This is a question asked multiple times but the answer is always the same, there is no real benefit to moving to 64 bit Firefox, and the amount of work required to do something with no benefit makes this a low priority. Eventually it will happen, but just because it uses 64bit doesn't magically make things better.
