6500a printer not connecting to eprint

I have been on the phone to hp tech support for a couple of hours today, my initial issue was that no printing was getting through my eprint, once they started their trouble shooting I am now unable to connect the printer to eprint centre at all. They now say they cant help me and that there may be an issue with the website itself. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!

Hello,
Are you still having problems connecting to the server and printing to your printer?  I don't know what steps the support agent took to help you but some things you can do are to make certain the 6500A is connected to the correct network, un-enable and then re-enable Web services.  You will be given a new email address.  Let me know what you have tried and we can work from there.

  • HP 6500A Plus "not connected" to eprint center

I have just purchased an HP 6500A Plus and after setting up the printer All-in-one on the network and printing test pages from two computers on my network. I pushed the app button and was able to access various applications. I also logged into the eprint center in my browser and was able to see that the printer was connected to the eprint center. I then proceed to print some items for the app menu on the printer, they printed correctly. The next day I went to access the app menu on the printer touch screen and the printer gave me an error message that it could not connect to the server. It ran through every fix I could find online, but you have 44 pages of people complaining about this same issue without any solution. So I though maybe you would personally send me a solution if I reached out on a post. I know the printer is setup correctly on the wireless network and continue to be able to print wirelessly from all my computers. However the app center never connects ( I have turned off and on the printer, I have unplugged the printer, I have cycled the router multiple times, I have changed the IP address, I have removed it from the network and reset up the wireless connection)
So what is the fix, this seemingly is effecting every eprint center user.

    Hi,
From the printer setup menu select, "Printer Status Report". In the printed report look for entries "Printer name",  "Printer model name" and "serial number". Do you see any information printed??? OR is it blank????
Also from the main screen, press the "Return key" four times. We cannot see this key as it is not glowing/not highlighted, however, observing closely you can see it. This opens Support menu.
Go into  "Information Menu" and check the details displayed for "Printer name", Printer Model name and serial number. Are they blank???
Also contact your ISP and in the router webpage, set "Port Forwarding" for the ports 80, 443, 5222,5223

  • Why is my Officejet 8600 showing as not connected in eprint? printer shows connected

The printer shows e-mail address correctly.  It shows connected.  All web services are turned on.  Why is it still showing as not connected on eprint.com?

    Dear Godbee 1997,
Try a power cycle on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer for 20 seconds while the printer is still powered on. While the power is draining from the printer log out of your ePrintCenter account. Once the printer is back at the home screen, log into your ePrintCenter account. Your printer should now show connected and ready. If not, please let me know. I hope this helps.
If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

  • Installed a wireless canon Pixma MX432 printer back in November for use with my Mac Book Air. All was working normally until this past week when I began getting a message, "printer not connected." What is going on? Netgear Wireless N Router seems to be ok

My new canon Pixma MX432 printer is not printing. It was printing fine until about ten days ago. I use a Netgear Wireless N router, which is also new. What do I need to do. I get a message when trying to print that says "printer not connected." In addition, my old Gateway laptop will still print fine apparently because it has a cable connection to the printer. Puzzled!

Have you tried rebooting the router? I would unplug it, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in. Be sure you know the password etc. if that doesn't work, try unplugging and rebooting the printer. Good luck!

  • I recently replaced my dead airport router with a netgear91-5g router and synced it successfully to my Lexmark Pro 915 printer and my computer and yet when I try to print wirelessly I get the message: "printer not connected; printer offline".

I recently replaced my dead airport router with a Netgear91-5g router and synced it successfully to my Lexmark Pro 915 printer and my computer; yet when I try to print wirelessly I get the message: "printer not connected; printer offline". Lexmark support verified that my printer was connected to the new router and the problem was with the computer's printer configuration and they could reconfigure it online if I paid for their "Premium Support" services ($119 for one year, 3 fixes). I declined, feeling sure that this is something I could do if I knew how. Could it be an incompatability issue with OS 10.8.3?

You saved me $$$ that I can ill afford on my fixed income. I was very unhappy with the "support" from Lexmark... what a rip off!  Thank you dwb!

  • Unable to print, "printer not connected" but previously no problem

I then removed the printer from the list in the settings, now it won't populate a list to choose from to add a printer
    desktop macintosh 10.9.2
    HP deskjet 3054A printer

I turned all off for the night, then turned back on this morning.  When I tried to print, it said "printer not connected".  Then I removed the printer from the list (system preferences--printers & scanners--hitting the - sign).  Then I tried to repopulate the list (still in system preferences--printers-- hit the +) .  Nothing shows up.  No printers to choose from.  And no printing "no printer selected".  I turned all off again, hoping the list would populate when I turned it back on, but still no list to choose a printer from.
My printer does show up on the list when I plug it in with a USB cord, but still doesn't work. (can't remember if I had to do this in the very beginning). I don't know about reinstalling.....don't have the cd, but don't think the cd was used anyway.  I have looked all through the printer instructions on the printer small screen (HP deskjet 3054A 611j)  and did hit return to default settings.  Could I have reset an address or something?  Of course I did this after I already had a problem.
All other literature refers me to the printer cd for reinstall.
Very frustrating.  Thanks for your efforts, any other ideas?

  • Wifi printing after Mountain Lion upgrade, "printer not connected" error

I have Canon MP610 printer.  Was getting error message "Looking for printer" or "Printer not connected" after upgrading to Mountain Lion 10.8.  Printing works fine when I directly plug in USB cord to MacBook Pro to print. However, on the wifi network, no luck.  Today I have upgraded Canon's latest driver, reset the printer system, deleted printers from system icon in System Preferences, added new printer back in..... Nothing.
I have reset Time Capsule, where my printer USB is currently plugged into.
    Nothing.
Please advise what to try next...??

AirPort Utility 5.6 is available at AirPort Service and Support.
5.6 doesn't work with Mountain Lion, so am I stuck?
I already had AirPort Utility 5.6 on a Lion machine and upgraded to Mountain Lion with no issues. AirPort Utiliy 5.6 works fine as does AirPort Utility 6.1.
But, I did not try to download and install AirPort Utility 5.6 since it was already on the Mac.
Please try again and report on your results.

  • Why won't my printer (Brother HL2270DW) print out Elements User bi-monthly magazine?  Screen says PDF format not supported or printer not connected (it is) or shows an empty screen.  No other printing problems on any website.

Why won't my printer (Brother HL2270DW) print out Elements bi-monthly magazine.  Screen says either printed not connected (not true) or PDF not supported of shows a blank document.  No problems printing on any other website.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now.  About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

  • Our Printer 6700 all in one shows " Printer not connected" on Mac

    Hi,
We recently changed our router from Netgear to Lynksys. Since then we have problems to print from MAC computers and laptops.
The Printer is connected properly to the Router, our computers as well and of course on the same network.
The Macs recognize the printer at first and when we try to print it says 'Printer not connected".
We reset printing system a few times and still have the same problem.
Please help , as the printer works properly from an Sony Vaio PC but not from our Macs.

    Hi @AnthonyMiami ,
I see that you are having issues printing over the wireless network on the Mac computers since changing your router. The PC works though. I would really like to be able to help you resolve this issue.
Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:
    Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
    Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
    Restart the computer..
    Reset the Printing System:
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.
    Click Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer. (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name) Then click on the Add button.
    Try printing.
If you are still having issues, add the printer through the IP Protocal to see if you can print, just to rule out a network issue.
Go to the Apple, System Preferences, Printers and Scanners, click on the + button, select the IP Protocal across the top, type in the printer's IPv4 address, select jet direct below and then Apply.
    Try printing.
Please let me know the results.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.
Please click “Accept as Solution ” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

  • Printer not connected error in 10.10.3

I'm getting "Printer not connected" now since I've upgraded to 10.10.3 on my Epson WF-3540 on my MBPr. My two other Macs are not having this issue, one of which is also 10.10.3 and the other 10.10.2 (a MacPro and MBP respectfully).
I have tried the following on my MBPr:
    Delete Jobs
    Pause and restart queue
    Restarting Mac
    Restarting Printer
    Resetting Printer
Delete and reinstall printer - Both via AirPrint and Epson drivers
    Reinstall fresh downloaded drivers
Repeat 6 with new driver install
    SMC and PRRAM reset
Printer can be seen easily in printer control panel for setup. Setup proceeds normally. Then when attempting to print, the queue displays "Printer not connected" error.

If the printer works with AirPrint, you don't need the EPSON software and you should remove it. Then see below:

  • Printer not connected message

I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion, and since then I am unable to print--I get the message "Printer Not Connected".   My printer is connected to my Airport Extreme router via Ethernet cable.  When I go to system preferences, then network, the firewire and the ethernet choices are red--as in not connected or not working.  When I go to advanced, after choosing ethernet, I clicked on Renew DHCP Lease, but this doesn't change anything.  Any help would be appreciated, because I use my printer all the time.  It is a Canon Pixma MG8120.
Also, my Airport utility is saying "No configured Airport base stations have been found.  Airport Utility will continue searching."

This is a common complaint after upgrading from Snow Leopard systems.
Try this - reset your printing system as described here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341
Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
Choose Print & Scan from the View menu.
Hold down the Option key while clicking the "-" (Remove printer) button. If no printers are currently added, hold down the Control key while clicking in the box that appears above the "+" (Add printer) button, then choose Reset printing system… from the contextual menu.
Then, add the Canon Pixma again using the "+" button.
What does Reset Printing System do?
    Deletes all queues and jobs.
Resets all printer settings to their default by deleting configuration files.
Performs a permissions check on the /tmp directory.
Any printers, scanners, or fax modems that previously appeared in System Preferences will need to be added again after resetting the printing system.
    That should fix it.

  • Printer not connected - iMac 10.8.4 & EPSON XP400

Everything worked fine until Mountain Lion 10.8.4 and latest Apple update of early July with new Epson drivers and after many attempts deleting and adding this printer, using Bonjour or IP direct addressing.
Wireless is fine, no RF interferences, internal printer webpages are correctly accessible, scanning is fine, only printing stops with "Printer not connected" error message.
There is another strange message on CUPS error log, something like "Impossible queuing on Lexmark_Z45 printer".
This was an old printer I unsuccessfully tried to connect to my iMac before buying this new EPSON XP 400 and apparently fully removed from OSX.
I also searched entire filesystem to find Lexmark occurences but nothing was found.
Is it anything related with Bonjour?

  • "printer not connected" error over a wifi network

I have a HP CP2025N laser printer that has been happily working on my Apple network. Now all of a sudden I keep getting a "printer not connected" error.
I reset the network to no avail.
I am running Lion, the printer is connected via an ethernet cable on a Apple Express routter that extends an apple extreme. Again this configuration has been running for two years now.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Printer not connected to internet - have pulled and reattached ISB with no change.

Is the printer connected to a network?  For any Internet functionality to be present on printers, the printer will need to have its own connection to the network.  It sounds like the printer only has a USB connection.
On the printer, go to Setup>Network>Print Network Configuration Page.
Does it have an IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and DNS servers listed (other than 0.0.0.0 or 169.254.X.X)?  If so, then it is connected.  If not, then go to Setup>Network>Wireless Setup Wizard to connect to the wireless network.  This should get the printer connected provided there is a wireless network available.
What brand and model is the router (if one is present)?

  • Canon ImagePROGRAF 6350 PRINTER NOT CONNECTED ERROR

My Canon ImagePROGRAF 6350 is connected via USB to my iMac; however, I am still getting a PRINTER NOT CONNECTED ERROR. How do I fix this?

We updated two computers on our network to 10.6.8 (from 10.5) and another (PPC iMac) to 10.5 (from 10.4). In each case, I had to first remove the printer from Print/Fax, then reinstall from the original CD, and then update to latest drivers, and then the printer worked fine. This was for a Canon 8210 Print and Scan multifunction device, so I was inferring that Canon drivers/software need to be reinstalled when updating to later versions of the OS. Hence my recommendation. The Canon website shows drivers for your device for both 10.6 and 10.7, so it appears to be usable under the latest Mac OS. It seems that if you can start from as close to "scatch" as you can and then reinstall (much as if you got the printer brand new), you have a better chance. This might involve "uninstalling" by hand if need be, to remove vestiges of the previously installed stuff.
