7985 Reboots During Call

I have 2-3 7985's that when the user places an audio call, they will reboot about 5 secs into the audio call. They are all running the same load 4.2.1.
Anyone else seen this?

Try these steps.
H323: On the matching voip dial-peer(s), configure:
'no vad'
or
'rtp payload-type comfort-noise 13'
MGCP: Set CCM Service parameter: 'Silence Suppression with Gateways" = False

  • ZTE Open C reboots during calls

The phone reboots during calls. OS version 1.3, latest according to ZTE.
Thing is, only when it is set to use 3G. But if I set to 2G the audio is absolutely terrible.
Both when using 2G and 3G sometimes the calls get cut-off on the receiver phone. I can hear the other person talking but the other person doesn't hear anything. This is another issue.
What can I do? The phone was bought from Ebay on September 2014.
Problem didn't start now, ZTE Ebay support said the issue was a SIM one. I recently changed to 3G because the noises in 2G are almost unbearable.

    Hi Falconet,
I understand you are experiencing rebooting and call quality issues on your ZTE Open C device.
Since ZTE is responsible for the Firefox OS build specific to your device, I would suggest following their advice.
You may be able to request a new SIM card for your device by contacting your carrier support.
I hope this resolves your issue. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Firefox OS device.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
What ZTE meant was changing carriers not just sim card. I can't do that for another 1.5 years. The reason they said is because the phone seemed fine for a while when using another carrier. Sadly, the SIM is fine since another SIM card from the same carrier does the same. Both are working fine on Android Phones.

  • IOS 8/8.0.2 reboots during call and then comes back

I have seen issues with IOS 8 and 8.0.2 on both an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 6 where I am on a conference call, and the phone goes dead to the white screen with the black apple,  then 30 seconds later, the phone comes back on with the previous call still connected.  Has anyone else seen this issue?   I have seen this issue at least once a day since upgrading to IOS 8 on my iPhone 5 and my receipt of my iPhone 6 and then subsequently on IOS 8.0.2

This very same thing everyone here has posted about happened to me this very evening. I only found this post by googling around as there's not too much.
I have a 5c, my friend has a 5s. Both of us running 8.02. During a call, first my phone cut out like the call dropped and I see the Apple logo on screen like its rebooting. I'm like "what the..." but before I can even say the word, my phone is back at the home screen and my call resumes. Even the call time counter kept counting like the call never dropped. But I could not here my friend though he said he could still hear me.
The strange part of this is within a couple of minutes the exact same thing happened to my friend on his phone during our same call. Apple logo, screen reboot, he can't hear me for like 5 seconds and then all is normal again. He suspects the NSA; I say loose bolts in the plumbing.
Man, I hope this 8.1 update fixes this. And Safari, which runs awful. And the Camera Roll. And the...

  • 8320 reboots during calls

I have a 8320 that is unlocked, was originally t-mobile, now using an ATT SIM.  The phone worked perfectly for over a year on t-mobile.  I didn't use the phone for about 6 months (sat in a box).  I decided to use my ATT SIM from a work phone, and had the phone unlocked.  Now, during almost every call, the phone will shut down and reboot. I get the red light then the hourglass in the screen, and a couple of minutes later, it is up and running.
    Troubleshooting to date is:
    Installed latest OS from BlackBerry
Checked battery - the reboot will happen on battery or while plugged in.  No evidence of water damage
    Checked memory - good
Checked with unlock provider - they have never had any problem.
I have tried the SIM in my iPhone and had no problem
I have seen lots of posts with similar problems, but no solutions.  The device is out of warranty and the phone isn't from my current service provider.  I am now sitting with a device that does not work and no other options.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Try another BB enabled SIM in the Troublesome BB.
If you still have the same issue then its a faulty Handset. Contact the carrier for a replacement/repair.

  • 7925G drops registration and reboots during call

We have 4 of these phones connecting to 2600i AP's on a WLC. They can sit idle for hours, but when you make a call, it will work, then at random, just drop off and reboot.  I also noticed that response times to all 4 phones will be good, around 30-40 ms then skyrocket after a while to upwards of 600 ms. I dont know if this is normal, and happens when the phone is idle, but I did notice when calling extension to extension between 2 phones response times were normal.
When the call drops, ping stops responding.
I have done quite a few deployments, and can find nothing wrong on the WLC or callmanager, this is a first I have ever seen this.  Not sure if its a bug on the WLC, or the phone.

I also noticed that response times to all 4 phones will be good, around 30-40 ms then skyrocket after a while to upwards of 600 ms.
You will get high response time when there phone is on idle.  Good ping time happens when you are on a call.

Make sure your phones are running firmwares version 1.4(3) and higher.

  • E61i reboots during calls

My newly bought e61i tends to crash at almost once a day while in the middle of a call.
The backlight would go off and I would see the nokia logo 'float' at the bottom of the screen before the backlight comes on again.
Then, despite it being a reboot, it does not require me to key in my PIN number.
Very strange and irritating, especially when clients or loved ones on the line.
Any ideas how this can be resolved?
Firmware: Original. Not updated because I read somewhere that it causes more problems.
Place of purchase: Malaysia from nokia authorised dealer (Avaxx)

Gosh. This faulty e61i must have wasted a lot of your time. That must have sucked. I emailed Nokia support and they never replied. That sucked too. Thankss for reply.

  • 3GS reboots during calls after os4 upgrade

This is a bit different from screens staying black at the end of a call that I've seen mentioned.
Every call I make, after about 3 minutes the phone turns off and reboots. This would be a great moneysaving feature if was on Pay As You Talk! But I now can't use the phone for calls and have to warn people who call me that we'll get cut off

I too am seeing this. I'm on o2. This isn't happening for every call and this hasn't been happening for me consistently. Also, this can happen at any point in a call, I've been on a call for 1/2 hour before it resets.
Possibly this might happen when I get to a point of bad reception.

  • Phone rebooted during call

Got the phone yesterday... Was out for a nice walk this moring talking to my mom on the phone and she went silent - looked down at the phone and the AT&T logo was there - the phone was rebooting. Had been on the phone for maybe 7-8 minutes and it had been up to my ear the whole time, so it wasn't a combination of anything on my part.
Only seen this once so hopeful it's a once off.
Nice phone Nokia - please stick to it and work out the kinks. Giving this phone a shot and I'm a potential long-term customer (have had nokia phones in the past when I lived in Europe)

    Hi there,
First please backup your data and perform a soft reset on your phone (press and hold the volume down and power buttons) until the phone reboots and see if that solves your problem. If not, then perform a hard reset, as detailed here: http://mynokiablog.com/2011/11/08/how-to-hard-reset-nokia-wps-three-finger-restart/
There have been a fair share of problems reported of the AT&T variants of the 920, and a reset has often solved it. Try it and report back to us how it goes.
Failing the hard resets working, you will need to take your 920 back to your point of purchase, or if they are not helpful, then you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to inspect.

  • SPA 525G Phones rebooting during phone calls

    Hi,
My office uses a SPA 525G system and recently phones have been randomly rebooting during phone calls, causing the calls to drop. I have seen previous forums on various sites about this being a common problem but still do not have a clear answer on what a good solution might be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

Are you using The Bluetooth on SPA525G? I find that this happens when I have BT connected to my iPhone

  • Blackberry 8320 crashes & reboots during voice calls

    Hello,
I have a 8320 on T-mobile, the phone has worked well for well over a year. Over the last few months, the phone has begun to hard lock & reboot during voice calls. This issue happened suddenly, e.g. over the first year it never happened. Now, it happens all the time. I did update the phone to v4.5, but there is not correlation to the update to 4.5 and the issue occuring (it was working well with 4.5 for some time before the issue started up)
Basically, given a voice call which lasts over 60 seconds, there is about a 50% chance the phone will grey-screen and reboot.
    Carrier: T-Mobile
    Curve 8320, v4.5.0.81 (platform 2.7.0.78)
File free: 14268148 (after recent battery out reboot)
Application: no user-installed apps... just whatever comes w/ T-mo
After the issue started occuring, (per suggestion on the forums) I replaced the battery with a brand new Blackberry CS-2 battery... issue still occurs.
This is my wife's phone. There are no additional apps installed. It's basically used for SMS, brickbreaker, and voice calls (in that order...). No WiFI, no BT, no email. I really don't want to have to replace this phone, but it has become basically useless.
Any ideas or suggestions to try?

Actually, my wife now tells me that it has been happening almost right after I updated it to 4.5... so maybe there is a correlation.
I don't see the previous software on T-Mobile's site. Does anyone know how I can revert the phone to the older revision?

  • Droid 4 has large static during calls

    All,
Today I was making a call and for some reason during the call my phone picked up large amounts of static. To the point where I had to end the call. I have tried rebooting and calling someone else and it still has static. I have also tried changing my location, but that didn't help. I also tried calling my phone from someone elses and I don't hear the static on the other line until I answer it on my phone. Does anyone have any ideas what is up? I purchased the phone on April 4th. Would they still warranty this? There was no abuse or anything like that. I was just in the middle of a call when it happened.
    Thanks,
    Troy

    Hi,
I just got off the phone with support (I used a different phone). They are sending me a replacement. So if you have this isssue, call support.

  • My BB Curve Keeps Freezing During Calls

Help please, does anyone know why my BB keeps freezing during calls?

    Hi there,
First check two setting within your device :
On your Homescreen go to Options > Device > Storage > Make sure " Enable Compression " is UNchecked or UNmarked .
Homescreen > Options > Security > Advanced Security Setting > Memory Cleaner > Br sure it is Disabled .
Then Check again , But if you already have those setting as I suggested then Boot your device on Safe Mode :
KB17877 : How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode
On Safe Mode don't try to Click or run any application , Just make a few phone calls to see if your device freezes again, If freezing cease then those freezing issues are caused by any of your Installed 3rd party applications . All you can do is delete one application at a time then reboot and check unless you find the original culprit responsible for this issue .
Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.

  • 6 plus turns off during calls

i am on my second 6plus and having the same issue.  My issue is that the phone shuts off 20% of the time during calls.  The phone will be dark for 20 seconds and then the apple logo appears to start back up, like it is rebooting.  After the logo reappears the phone home screen comes back up and the caller is still there.  So I don't ever loose the call, I just loose the ability to hear or saying anything.  Plus the phone is dark like it is completely turned off.  I know another phone will not fix this, anyone know the software issue? sprint is the carrier

    Hello Mwcourter,
Having your device replaced multiple times can certainly be frustrating. After reviewing your post, it sounds as though your device is resetting during use. I have located an article that can help with software issues. Have you attempted to restore the device to factory settings without restoring from a backup? Test the issue on a new installation, and make sure that it works. Then use the same article to restore from your backup to either verify it still works, or isolate the issue to the backup itself.
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
